Despite the enormous interest in inorganic/polymer composite solid-state electrolytes(CSEs)for solid-state batteries(SSBs),the underlying ion transport phenomena in CSEs have not yet been elucidated.Here,we address this issue by formulating a mechanistic understanding of bi-percolating ion channels formation and ion conduction across inorganic-polymer electrolyte interfaces in CSEs.A model CSE is composed of argyrodite-type Li_6PS_5Cl(LPSCl)and gel polymer electrolyte(GPE,including Li~+-glyme complex as an ion-conducting medium).The percolation threshold of the LPSCl phase in the CSE strongly depends on the elasticity of the GPE phase.Additionally,manipulating the solvation/desolvation behavior of the Li~+-glyme complex in the GPE facilitates ion conduction across the LPSCl-GPE interface.The resulting scalable CSE(area=8×6(cm×cm),thickness~40μm)can be assembled with a high-mass-loading LiNi_(0.7)Co_(0.15)Mn_(0.15)O_(2)cathode(areal-mass-loading=39 mg cm~(-2))and a graphite anode(negative(N)/positive(P)capacity ratio=1.1)in order to fabricate an SSB full cell with bi-cell configuration.Under this constrained cell condition,the SSB full cell exhibits high volumetric energy density(480 Wh L_(cell)~(-1))and stable cyclability at 25℃,far exceeding the values reported by previous CSE-based SSBs.

Genetic variation of the PSCA gene(rs2294008) is not associated with the risk of prostate cancer

Prostate stem cell antigen（PSCA） is a cell-membrane glycoprotein consisting of 123 amino acids and highly expressed in the prostate,but there have been few reports on the relationship between rs2294008 of PSCA and prostate cancer in the literature.Therefore,we evaluated the association between rs2294008 and the risk of prostate cancer.A total of 240 prostate cancer patients and 306 controls（patients with benign prostatic hyperplasia） were enrolled.Genotype analysis of rs2294008 of PSCA was performed using PCR.Logistic regression analysis was performed according to the genotype of PSCA rs2294008.We found that CT and TT genotypes were associated with an insignificant risk of prostate cancer compared with the CC genotype（P= 0.627 and 0.397,respectively）.In addition,there was no significant difference in rs2294008 according to clinicopathological parameters,such as age,Gleason score,prostate-specific antigen（PSA）,stage,and metastasis in prostate cancer（P 〉 0.05 for each）.Age,Gleason score,PSA,pathologic stage,and metastasis did not modify the association between PSCA and the risk of prostate cancer（each P 〉 0.05 for each）.Taken together,the genetic polymorphism of PSCA rs2294008 was not associated with the risk of prostate cancer.Our results suggest that rs2294008 may not play a role in prostate carcinogenesis.

Should anticoagulants be administered for portal vein thrombosis associated with acute pancreatitis?

Venous complications in patients with acute pancreatitis typically occur as a form of splenic,portal,or superior mesenteric vein thrombosis and have been detected more frequently in recent reports.Although a well-organized protocol for the treatment of venous thrombosis has not been established,anticoagulation therapy is commonly recommended.A 73-year-old man was diagnosed with acute progressive portal vein thrombosis associated with acute pancreatitis.After one month of anticoagulation therapy,the patient developed severe hematemesis.With endoscopy and an abdominal computed tomography scan,hemorrhages in the pancreatic pseudocyst,which was ruptured into the duodenal bulb,were confirmed.After conservative treatment,the patient was stabilized.While the rupture of a pseudocyst into the surrounding viscera is a well-known phenomenon,spontaneous rupture into the duodenum is rare.Moreover,no reports of upper gastrointestinal bleeding caused by pseudocyst rupture in patients under anticoagulation therapy for venous thrombosis associated with acute pancreatitis have been published.Herein,we report a unique case of massive upper gastrointestinal bleeding due to pancreatic pseudocyst rupture into the duodenum,which developed during anticoagulation therapy for portal vein thrombosis associated with acute pancreatitis.

Body-centered-cubic martensite and the role on room-temperature tensile properties in Si-added SiVCrMnFeCo high-entropy alloys

We present a new class of metastable high-entropy alloys(HEAs),triggering deformation-induced martensitic transformation(DIMT)from face-centered-cubic(FCC)to body-centered-cubic(BCC),i.e.,BCC-DIMT.Through the ab-initio calculation based on 1 st order axial interaction model and combined with the Gibbs free energy calculation,the addition of Si is considered as a critical element which enables to reduce the intrinsic stacking fault energy(ISFE)in Si_xV_((9-x))Cr_(10)Mn_5 Fe_(46)Co_(30)(x=2,4,and 7 at.%)alloy system.The ISFE decreases from-30.4 to-35.5 mJ/m^(2)as the Si content increases from 2 to 7 at.%,which well corresponds to the reduced phase stability of FCC against HCP.The BCC-DIMT occurs in all the alloys via intermediate HCP martensite,and the HCP martensite provides nucleation sites of BCC martensite.Therefore,the transformation rate enhances as the Si content increases in an earlier deformation ra nge.However,the BCC-DIMT is also affected by the phase stability of FCC against BCC,and the stability is the highest at the Si content of 7 at.%.Thus,the 7Si alloy presents the moderate transformation rate in the later deformation range.Due to the well-controlled transformation rate and consequent strain-ha rdening rate,the 7Si alloy possesses the superior combination of strength and ductility beyond 1 GPa of tensile strength at room temperature.Our results suggest that the Si addition can be a favorable candidate in various metastable HEAs for the further property improvement.

Development of Preliminary Design Program for Combustor of Regenerative Cooled Liquid Rocket Engine

An integrated program was established to design a combustor for a liquid rocket engine and to analyze regenerative cooling results on a preliminary design level.Properties of burnt gas from a kerosene-LOx mixture in the combustor and rocket performance were calculated from CEA which is the code for the calculation of chemical equilibrium.The heat transfer of regenerative cooling was analyzed by using SUPERTRAPP code for coolant properties and by one-dimensional correlations of the heat transfer coefficient from the combustor liner to the coolant.Profiles of the combustors of F-1 and RS-27A engines were designed from similar input data and the present results were compared to actual data for validation.Finally,the combustors of 30 tonf class,75 tonf class and 150 tonf class were designed from the required thrust,combustion chamber,exit pressure and mixture ratio of propellants.The wall temperature,heat flux and pressure drop were calculated for heat transfer analysis of regenerative cooling using the profiles.

Antibacterial Behaviour of Quaternized Poly(vinyl chloride)-g-Poly(4-vinyl pyridine) Graft Copolymers

Amphiphilic graft copolymers consisting of poly（vinyl chloride）（PVC） main chains and poly（4-vinyl pyridine）（P4VP） side chains were synthesized via atom transfer radical polymerization（ATRP） using direct initiation of chlorine atoms. The successful synthesis of PVC-g-P4 VP graft copolymers was confirmed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy（FTIR） and proton nuclear magnetic resonance（1H-NMR）. Transmission electron microscope（TEM） and small angle X-ray scattering（SAXS） analysis showed that PVC-g-P4 VP exhibited microphase-separated, ordered structure with 37.6 nm of domain spacing, which was not observed in neat PVC. For antibacterial applications, the tertiary nitrogen atoms of PVC-gP4 VP was quaternized using 1-bromohexane, as confirmed by FTIR measurements. Bacteria including Escherichia coli（E. coli）, Staphylococcus aureus（S. aureus）, Bacillus cereus（B. cereus）, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa（P. aeruginosa） were completely killed in 24 h on the quaternized PVC-g-P4VP（46% grafting） surface, indicating its excellent antibacterial behavior while it showed to be cytotoxic to mammalian cell.

Two-dimensional asymmetric chalcogen atoms attached to Janus nanoparticles have fascinated research attention owing to their distinctive properties and characteristics for various applications.This paper proposed a facile synthesis to produce efficient molybdenum-based symmetric and asymmetric chalcogens bounded by X Mo X and TeMo X nanostructures.Subsequently,the fabricated X Mo X and TeMo X nanostruc-tures were employed as anodes for lithiumion batteries(LIBs).Assembled LIBs using TeMoS and TeMoSe Janus anodes achieved 2610 and 2073 mAh g^(-1)reversible capacity at 0.1 A g^(-1),respectively for the halfcell configuration,which is outstanding performance compared with previous reports.Superior rate capability performances at 0.1-20 A g^(-1)and exceptional cycling solidity confirmed high charge and discharge capacities for TeMo X Janus lithium-ion battery anodes.In addition,the full cell device with TeMoS//LiCoO_(2)configuration explored the discharge capacity of 1605 mAh g^(-1)at 0.1 A g^(-1)which suggests their excellent electrochemical characteristics.The density functional theory approximations established the significance of assembled symmetric and asymmetric chalcogen atoms interacted with X Mo X and TeMo X anode materials for LIBs.Thus,the present investigation supports a new approach to creating two-dimensional materials based on asymmetric chalcogen atoms with core metal to effectively increase desirable energy storage characteristics.

Question-Answering Pair Matching Based on Question Classification and Ensemble Sentence Embedding

Question-answering(QA)models find answers to a given question.The necessity of automatically finding answers is increasing because it is very important and challenging from the large-scale QA data sets.In this paper,we deal with the QA pair matching approach in QA models,which finds the most relevant question and its recommended answer for a given question.Existing studies for the approach performed on the entire dataset or datasets within a category that the question writer manually specifies.In contrast,we aim to automatically find the category to which the question belongs by employing the text classification model and to find the answer corresponding to the question within the category.Due to the text classification model,we can effectively reduce the search space for finding the answers to a given question.Therefore,the proposed model improves the accuracy of the QA matching model and significantly reduces the model inference time.Furthermore,to improve the performance of finding similar sentences in each category,we present an ensemble embedding model for sentences,improving the performance compared to the individual embedding models.Using real-world QA data sets,we evaluate the performance of the proposed QA matching model.As a result,the accuracy of our final ensemble embedding model based on the text classification model is 81.18%,which outperforms the existing models by 9.81%∼14.16%point.Moreover,in terms of the model inference speed,our model is faster than the existing models by 2.61∼5.07 times due to the effective reduction of search spaces by the text classification model.

Effects of Flower Buds Extract of Tussilago farfara on Focal Cerebral Ischemia in Rats and Inflammatory Response in BV2 Microglia

Objective： To investigate the effects of the flower buds extract of Tussilago farfara Linné（Farfarae Flos; FF） on focal cerebral ischemia through regulation of inflammatory responses in activated microglia. Methods： Brain ischemia was induced in Sprague-Dawley rats by a transient middle cerebral artery occlusion（t MCAO） for 90 min and reperfusion for 24 h. Twenty rats were randomly divided into 4 groups（n=5 per group）： normal, t MCAO-induced ischemic control, t MCAO plus FF extract 300 mg/kg-treated, and t MCAO plus MK-801 1 mg/kg-treated as reference drug. FF extract（300 mg/kg, p.o.） or MK-801（1 mg/kg, i.p.） was administered after reperfusion. Brain infarction was measured by 2,3,5,-triphenyltetrazolium chloride staining. Neuronal damage was observed by haematoxylin eosin, Nissl staining and immunohistochemistry using anti-neuronal nuclei（Neu N）, anti-glial fibril ary acidic protein（GFAP）, and antiCD11 b/c（OX42） antibodies in ischemic brain. The expressions of inducible nitric oxide synthase（i NOS）, tumor necrosis factor（TNF-α）, and hypoxia-inducible factor-1 a（HIF-1α） were determined by Western blot. BV2 microglial cel s were treated with FF extract or its main bioactive compound, tussilagone with or without lipopolysaccharide（LPS）. Nitric oxide（NO） production was measured in culture medium by Griess assay. The expressions of i NOS, COX-2 and pro-inflammatory cytokines mRNA were analyzed by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction. The expression of i NOS, and COX-2 proteins, the phosphorylation of ERK1/2, JNK, and p38 MAPK and the nuclear expression of NF-κB p65 in BV2 cells were determined by Western blot. Results： FF extract significantly decreased brain infarctions in ischemic rats（P〈0.01）. The neuronal death and the microglia/astrocytes activation in ischemic brains were inhibited by FF extract. FF extract also suppressed i NOS, TNF-α, and HIF-1α expression in ischemic brains. High-efficiency technique based on dielectrophoresis for assembling metal,semiconductor,and polymer nanorods

This paper presents a high-efficiency technique based on dielectrophoresis (DEP) for assembling metal, semiconductor, and polymer nanorods, which are synthesized by electrochemical deposition (ECD). The assembly patterns of these nanorods (width: 20 nm; length: 7 μm) were designed using a finite element method (FEM) simulation tool. Further, these nanorods were used in our experiment after their assembly patterns were fabricated. The assembly yield was found to be approximately 70% at an AC voltage of 30 Vp-p and at frequencies of 20 and 30 kHz, and the DC voltage prevented the random alignment of the nanorods at the edge of the assembly pattern. Moreover, the above-mentioned nanorods, which had different permittivities, were found to have similar assembly yields. The proposed method can be improved and applied to nanostructure device fabrication.
