Double-pulse LIBS is a promising technique for deep-sea *** measurements in shallow water with up to 400 mJ each pulse were done to select laser parameters which promote optimized spectral line emission from plasma even at elevated pressures,where line broadening until loss of most of the spectral information can *** emission spectroscopy,using a Czerny-Turner spectrometer,has been applied to investigate the dependence of the emitted radiation on laser parameters and hydrostatic *** has been found,that higher laser pulse energies,especially with short pulse delay as required in high water pressure,can also have an adverse effect on the measured spectrum.

Biodegradable implants are critical for regenerative orthopaedic procedures,but they may suffer from too fast corrosion in human-body *** necessitates the synthesis of a suitable coating that may improve the corrosion resistance of these implants without compromising their mechanical *** this study,an AZ91 magnesium alloy,as a representative for a biodegradable Mg implant material,was modified with a thin reduced graphene oxide(rgO)-calcium carbonate(CaCO_(3))composite *** analytical and in-vitro electrochemical characterization reveals that this coating significantly improves the corrosion resistance and mechanical integrity,and thus has the potential to greatly extend the related application field.

The relationships between the thermal conductivity and some material properties of rocks such as the uniaxial compressive strength unit mass tensile strength cohesion Young's modulus point load strength Schmidt rebound hardness Shore scleroscope hardness and toughness strength were investigated. The statistical analysis of the data obtained in laboratory tests shows that the thermal conductivity increases with increasing the uniaxial compressive strength unit mass tensile strength cohesion Young's modulus point load strength Schmidt rebound hardness and Shore scleroscope hardness and decreases with increasing the toughness strength.

Energy transfer between the adjacent parts of rocks in underground mines is widely influenced by the thermal conductivity of rocks. The relationships between the thermal conductivity and some material properties of rocks such as the uniaxial compressive strength, unit mass, tensile strength, cohesion, Young’s modulus, point load strength, Schmidt rebound hardness, Shore scleroscope hardness and toughness strength were investigated. The impact of climate change on groundwater vulnerability has been assessed in the Pannonian basin over 1961–***-resolution climatemodels,aquifers composition,land cover,and digital elevation model were the main factors which served to perform the spatial analysis using Geographical Information *** analysis reported here is focused on the long-term period,including three temporal time sets:the past period of 1961–1990(1990s),the present period of 2011–2040(2020s),and the future period of 2041–2070(2050s).During the 1990s,the high and very high areas of groundwater vulnerability were identified in all the central,western,eastern,southeastern,and northern sides of the Pannonian *** these areas,the water availability is lower and the pollution load index is high,due to the agricultural *** low and very low vulnerability classwas depicted in the South-West part of the basin and in few locations from the peripheral areas,mainly in the North and *** medium groundwater vulnerability spreads over the Pannonian basin,but it ismore concentrated in the central,South,and *** most affected territory is Hungary,while the territories of Slovenia,Croatia,and Bosnia and Herzegovina are less *** the present and future periods,the very high groundwater vulnerability increased in areas by 0.74%and 0.87%,*** low class area decreased between the 1990s and the 2020s by 2.33%and it is expected to decrease up to 2.97%in the *** on this analysis and the groundwater vulnerabilitymaps,the Pannonian basin appears more vulnerable to climate change in the present and *** findings demonstrate that the aquifers from Pannonian basin experience high negative effect under climate *** addition,the land cover contributes to this negative status of groundwater *** original maps of groundwater vulnerability represent an instrument for water management planning and for research.

Positron emission tomography （PET） is an in vivo molecular imaging tool which is widely used in nuclear medicine for early diagnosis and treatment follow-up of many brain diseases. PET uses biomolecules as probes which are labeled with radionuclides of short half-lives, synthesized prior to the imaging studies. These probes are called radiotracers. Fluorine-18 is a radionuclide routinely used in the radiolabeling of neuroreceptor ligands for PET because of its favorable half-life of 109.8 min. The delivery of such radiotracers into the brain provides images of transport, metabolic, and neurotransmission processes on the molecular level. After a short introduction into the principles of PET, this review mainly focuses on the strategy of radiotracer development bridging from basic science to biomedical application. Successful radiotracer design as described here provides molecular probes which not only are useful for imaging of human brain diseases, but also allow molecular neuroreceptor imaging studies in various small-animal models of disease, including genetically- engineered animals. Furthermore, they provide a powerful tool for in vivo pharmacology during the process of pre-clinical drug development to identify new drug targets, to investigate pathophysiology, to discover potential drug candidates, and to evaluate the pharmacokinetics and pharmacodynamics of drugs in vivo.

This research aims for an objective identification, tracking, and a statistical analysis of the Moving Magnetic Features (MMFs) around sunspots using SOHO/MDI high-resolution magnetograms. To this end, we develop a computerized tracking program and study the motion and magnetism of the outflows of MMFs around 26 sunspots. Our method locates 4-27 MMFs per hour, with higher counts for large sunspots. We differentiate MMFs into type α that have a polarity opposite to the parent sunspots, and type β that share the sunspot's polarity. These sunspots' MMF subsets exhibit a wide range of central tendencies which have distinctive correlations with the sunspots. In general, α-MMFs emerge farther from the sunspot, carry less flux, and move faster than β-MMFs. The typical α/β-MMFs emerge at 2.2 - 8.1/0.1 - 3.2 Mm outside the penumbra limb, with lifetimes of 1.1 - 3.1/1.3 - 2.0 h. They are 1.1 - 6.6/1.4 - 3.6 Mm2 in area and carry 1.4 - 12.5/4.8 - 11.4 ×1018 Mx of flux. They travel a distance of 2.7 - 5.9/2.8 - 3.6 Mm with the speed of 0.5 - 0.9/0.4 - 0.7 km/s. Compared to the α-MMFs produced by large sunspots, those of small spots are smaller. They emerge closer to sunspot, move farther, live longer, and carry less flux. β-MMFs show much less correlation with the sunspots. The flux outflow carried by the MMFs ranges from 0.2 to 8.3 × 1019Mx· h-1 and does not show obvious correlation with the sunspots' evolution. The frequency distributions of the MMFs' distance traveled, area, and flux are exponential. This suggests the existence of numerous small, weak, and short-timescale magnetic objects which might contribute to the sunspot flux outflow.
