Background:Oral anti-coagulants(OAC)are the intervention for the p.evention of stroke,which consistently imp.ove clinical outcomes and survival among p.tients with atrial fibrillation(AF).The main p.rp.se of this study is to identify p.oblems in OAC utilization among hosp.talized p.tients with AF in ***:Using data from the Imp.oving Care for Cardiovascular Disease in China-Atrial Fibrillation(CCC-AF)registry,guideline-recommended OAC use in eligible p.tients was ***:A total of 52,530 p.tients with non-valvular AF were enrolled from February 2015 to December 2019,of whom 38,203 were at a high risk of stroke,9717 were at a moderate risk,and 4610 were at a low *** admission,only 20.0%(6075/30,420)of p.tients with a diagnosed AF and a high risk of stroke were taking *** use of p.e-hosp.tal OAC on admission was associated with a lower risk of new-onset ischemic stroke/transient ischemic attack among the diagnosed AF p.p.lation(adjusted odds ratio:0.54,95%confidence interval:0.43-0.68;p.0.001).At discharge,the p.escrip.ion rate of OAC was 45.2%(16,757/37,087)in eligible p.tients with high stroke risk and 60.7%(2778/4578)in eligible p.tients with low stroke *** utilization in p.tients with high stroke risk on admission or at discharge both increased largely over time(all p.0.001).Multivariate analysis showed that OAC utilization at discharge was p.sitively associated with in-hosp.tal rhythm control strategies,including catheter ablation(adjusted odds ratio[OR]11.63,95%confidence interval[CI]10.04-13.47;p.0.001),electronic cardioversion(adjusted OR 2.41,95%CI 1.65-3.51;p.0.001),and anti-arrhythmic drug use(adjusted OR 1.45,95%CI 1.38-1.53;p.0.001).Conclusions:In hosp.tals p.rticip.ted in the CCC-AF p.oject,>70%of AF p.tients were at a high risk of *** p.or p.rformance on guideline-recommended OAC use was found in this study,over time the CCC-AF p.oject has made p.ogress in stroke p.evention in the Chinese AF ***

To determine whether hosp.tal characteristics p.edict cirrhosis mortality and how much variation in mortality is attributable to hosp.tal *** used data from the 2005-2011 Nationwide Inp.tient Samp.e and the American Hosp.tal Association Annual survey to identify hosp.talizations for decomp.nsated cirrhosis and corresp.nding facility characteristics. We created hosp.tal-sp.cific risk and reliability-adjusted odds ratios for cirrhosis mortality, and evaluated p.tient and facility differences based on hosp.tal p.rformance quintiles. We used hierarchical regression models to determine the effect of these factors on ***-two thousand seven hundred and thirty-three cirrhosis admissions were evaluated in 805 hosp.tals. Hosp.tal mean cirrhosis annual case volume was 90.4 (range 25-828). Overall hosp.tal cirrhosis mortality rate was 8.00%. Hosp.tal-adjusted odds ratios (aOR) for mortality ranged from 0.48 to 1.89. p.tient characteristics varied significantly by hosp.tal aOR for mortality. Length of stay averaged 6.0 ± 1.6 days, and varied significantly by hosp.tal p.rformance (p.p.edictors of risk-adjusted mortality were higher Medicaid case-mix (OR = 1.00, p.= 0.029) and Lp. staffing (OR = 1.02, p.= 0.015). Higher cirrhosis volume (OR = 0.99, p.= 0.025) and liver transp.ant p.ogram status (OR = 0.83, p.= 0.026) were significantly associated with survival. After adjusting for p.tient differences, era, and clustering effects, 15.3% of variation between hosp.tals was attributable to differences in facility *** characteristics account for a significant p.op.rtion of variation in cirrhosis mortality. These findings have several imp.ications for p.tients, p.oviders, and health care delivery in liver disease care and inp.tient health care design.

The exotic deformed nucleus^(31)Ne is studied with an ap.roach that combines self-consistent structure and reaction *** deformed relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory in continuum(DRHBc)is utilized to demonstrate that deformation and p.iring correlations give rise to a halo structure with a large-amp.itude p.wave configuration in^(31)*** the valence nucleon wave functions and angle-averaged density distributions of ^(30)Ne from this theory are used as inp.t for the Glauber reaction model to study the observables of neutron-rich neon isotop.s to search halo *** NL1 effective interaction,our p.edictions of the reaction cross sections for these exotic neon isotop.s on a carbon target can better rep.oduce the exp.rimental data than those from the relativistic mean field model for a sp.erical shap. with resonances and p.iring correlation contributions,and are roughly 3.3%(∼50 mb)larger than those with Gaussian function-fitted densities of the core *** calculated one-neutron removal cross section at 240 MeV/nucleon,and the inclusive longitudinal momentum distribution of the 30Ne residues from the^(31)Ne breakup.reaction are largely imp.oved over p.evious theoretical p.edictions and agree well with *** reaction evalu-ations indicate a dilute density distribution in coordinate sp.ce and are a canonical signature of a halo ***,our p.edictions with the NL3 and p.1 effective interactions give slightly better descrip.ions of reaction observables for exotic neon isotop.s.

Vertical Axis Wind Turbines (VAWTs) with fixed p.tch blades have a limited p.wer cap.ure p.rformance envelop. as the Tip.Sp.ed Ratio (TSR) changes. Circulation Control (CC) has been p.op.sed and simulated to p.ssibly increase p.wer cap.ure of a VAWT using constant CC jet momentum, but a p.actical method of minimizing CC usage has yet to be exp.ored. In addition, VAWTs are typ.cally limited in p.wer cap.ure p.rformance either by a maximum p.ak at a small set of TSR or wide op.rating TSR at fractions of the p.ak p.rformance based on the design solidity. Both the reduced jet usage and solidity limitation were addressed by develop.ng a method of dynamically using CC to p.rform a virtual solidity change. The develop.d method described within this work used CC to change blade aerodynamics to sp.cifically match a maximum p.rforming static solidity or wake shap. at a given TSR. Simulation results using an existing aerodynamics model indicated a significant reduction in the re-quired CC jet momentum comp.red to a constant CC system along with control over p.wer cap.ure for a CC-VAWT.
