ZnSe thin films are successfully deposited by spray pyrolysis deposition technique. Deposited thin films are characterized by X-ray diffraction study, and it reveals that spray-deposited ZnSe thin films are polycrystalline with hexagonal crystal structure. Surface morphology is carried out by scanning electron microscopy. It shows cotton-like morphology, and optical properties, such as absorbance, transmittance, reflectance, band gap, refrac- tive index, extinction coefficient are studied. Photoluminescence shows strong emission at 497 nm. Also, spray- deposited ZnSe thin films are hydrophilic in nature, which is shown by contact angle meter.

This paper presents the NUBASE2016 evaluation that contains the recommended values for nuclear and decay properties of 3437 nuclides in their ground and excited isomeric （T1/2〉 100 ns） states. All nuclides for which any experimental information is known were considered. NUSASE2016 covers all data published by October 2016 in primary （journal articles） and secondary （mainly laboratory reports and conference proceedings） references, together with the corresponding bibliographical information. During the development of NUBASE2016, the data available in the ＂Evaluated Nuclear Structure Data File＂（ENSDF） database were consulted and critically assessed for their validity and completeness. Furthermore, a large amount of new data and some older experimental results that were missing from ENSDF were compiled, evaluated and included in NUBASE2016. The atomic mass values were taken from the ＂Atomic Mass Evaluation＂（AME2016, second and third parts of the present issue）. In cases where no experimental data were available for a particular nuclide, trends in the behavior of specific properties in neighboring nuclides （TNN） were examined. This approach allowed to estimate values for a range of properties that are labeled in NUBASE2016 as ＂non-experimental＂（flagged ＂#＂）. Evaluation procedures and policies used during the development of this database are presented, together with a detailed table of recommended values and their uncertainties.

Soil exhibits layers of extreme compaction from both natural causes and wheel *** compaction layers impede root growth,thereby reducing the plants capacity to obtain water during *** tillage is a remedy for adverse soil compaction that results in improved conditions for crop *** disturbance of subsoil increases water holding capacity and reduces impedance to root *** mulching is a technique that can be used to partially alleviate soil compaction within the critical root zones of deep rooted crops.A study was conducted by placing raw and composted coir pith using a two row subsoil coir pith mulching machine in three different soil depths(250,350,and 450 mm)at the three application rates of 15 t/ha,20 t/ha,and 25 t/ha and the effect of soil strength was *** experiment was conducted for a rainfed cotton *** soil strength profile was recorded in all the *** cone penetrometer resistance was measured for each increment of 10 mm and recorded manually from a digital force indicator during maturity stages of crop in all the treatment *** cone penetrometer resistance was measured directly on the row and the cone index was *** placement of mulch reduced the soil strength as compared to shallow *** lower soil strength(0.5 kPa to 0.8 kPa)in the loosened and mulched zone provided an impedance free zone for the root to *** rapid increase in cone index values at depths immediately below the respective depth of placement(250,350 and 450 mm)of raw and composted coir pith mulch indicated that the existence of undisturbed soil profile below the mulched zone which could be potential limiting factor for root development.

The aim of this study was the spatial and temporal monitoring of soil erosion patterns in *** g2 model was used,as an appropriate tool to provide the required month-time step country-wide soil loss maps and statistical *** input parameters were derived with field surveys and remote sensing imagery(MODIS,SRTM,SPOT,and Sentinel-2 scenes).An innovation for g2 was the consideration of the snow cover effect on the rainfall *** was also the first time g2 was used to map such a big country like Iran on a country *** mean annual soil erosion in Iran was found to be 16.5 t ha−1,which is equal to about 2.7 billion tons of soil *** spatial terms,the highest soil loss values were found in the north,west and southwest part of Iran,in the steep slopes in Alborz and Zagros *** temporal terms,the highest and lowest monthly erosion values of 3.2 and 0.09 t ha−1 correspond to January and July,respectively.

Natural materials(e.g. rocks and soils) are porous media, whose microstructures present a wide *** generally consist of a heterogeneous solid phase and a porous phase which may be fully or partially saturated with one or more fluids. The prediction of elastic and acoustic properties of porous materials is very important in many fields, such as physics of rocks, reservoir geophysics, civil engineering, construction field and study of the behavior of historical monuments. The aim of this work is to predict the elastic and acoustic behaviors of isotropic porous materials of a solid matrix containing dry, saturated and partially saturated spherical pores. For this, a homogenization technique based on the Morie Tanaka model is presented to connect the elastic and acoustic properties to porosity and degree of water saturation. Non-destructive ultrasonic technique is used to determine the elastic properties from measurements of P-wave velocities. The results obtained show the influence of porosity and degree of water saturation on the effective properties. The various predictions of Morie Tanaka model are then compared with experimental results for the elastic and acoustic properties of calcarenite.

Pancreatic cancer is the fourth most common cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States, with over 38000 deaths in 2013. The opportunity to detect pancreatic cancer while it is still curable is dependent on our ability to identify and screen high-risk populations before their symptoms arise. Risk factors for developing pancreatic cancer include multiple genetic syndromes as well as modifiable risk factors. genetic conditions include hereditary breast and ovarian cancer syndrome, Lynch Syndrome, familial adenomatous polyposis, Peutz-Jeghers Syndrome, familial atypical multiple mole melanoma syndrome, hereditary pancreatitis, cystic fibrosis, and ataxia-telangiectasia; having a genetic predisposition can raise the risk of developing pancreatic cancer up to 132-fold over the general population. Modifiable risk factors, which include tobacco exposure, alcohol use, chronic pancreatitis, diet, obesity, diabetes mellitus, as well as certain abdominal surgeries and infections, have also been shown to increase the risk of pancreatic cancer development. Several largevolume centers have initiated such screening protocols, and consensus-based guidelines for screening high-riskgroups have recently been published. The focus of this review will be both the genetic and modifiable risk factors implicated in pancreatic cancer, as well as a review of screening strategies and their diagnostic yields.

The Plaintive Cuckoo(Cacomantis merulinus) is a widespread brood parasite in Asia, but no data on host species utilization in Bangladesh exist. By searching for nests of all possible host species of the Plaintive Cuckoo at Jahangirnagar university campus, north of Dhaka, we were able to determine which hosts were used in this area. We found that the Common Tailorbird(Orthotomus sutorius) was the only potential host used by Plaintive Cuckoos, and parasitism rate was rather high(31.3 %, n = 16). However, both host and cuckoo breeding success was poor(0 %, n = 16) due to frequent nest predation. Details on host and cuckoo egg appearance are provided. Our findings indicate that Common Tailorbirds are common hosts of the Plaintive Cuckoo in Central Bangladesh.
