In or.er.to obtain high efficiency of or.anic light-emitting diodes and or.anic solar.cells, a ser.es of DPP-based four.coor.inate or.anobor.n compounds have been designed for.photoelectr.c functional mater.als. The effects of electr.n-donating and -withdr.wing substituent on the electr.nic and optical pr.per.ies have been investigated by using density functional theor. (DFT) and time-dependent DFT (TD-DFT) appr.aches systematically. It tur.ed out that electr.n-donating and -withdr.wing gr.ups can tune effectively the fr.ntier.molecular.or.ital(FMO) ener.y level, ener.y gap, and absor.tion and fluor.scence spectr.. The intr.duction of electr.n-withdr.wing gr.ups for.the par.nt molecule HBDPP (2,5-bis(diphenylbor.l)- 3,6-bis(pyr.din-2-yl)pyr.olo[3,4-c]pyr.ole-1,4(2H ,5H )-dione) favor. the decr.ase for.the FMO ener.y (ELUMO and EHOMO), HOMO-LUMO gaps (Eg), and the downhill ener.etic dr.ving for.e (?EL-L), while the electr.n-donating gr.ups can incr.ase ELUMO, EHOMO, Eg, and ?EL-L compar.d with that of HBDPP, r.spectively. The absor.tion and fluor.scence spectr. of the electr.n-withdr.wing substituted der.vatives exhibit bathochr.mic shifts, while the absor.tion and fluor.scence spectr. of the electr.ndonating substituted der.vatives show hypsochr.mic shifts compar.d with the par.nt molecule HBDPP, r.spectively. Feynman-Path Integr.l in Banach Space: In 1940, r.P. Feynman attempted to find a mathematical r.pr.sentation to expr.ss quantum dynamics of the gener.l for. for.a double-slit exper.ment. His intuition on sever.l slits with sever.l walls in ter.s of Lagr.ngian instead of Hamiltonian r.sulted in a magnificent wor.. It was known as Feynman Path Integr.ls in quantum physics, and a lar.e par. of the scientific community still consider. them a heur.stic tool that lacks a sound mathematical definition. This paper.aims to r.fute this pr.judice, by pr.viding an extensive and self-contained descr.ption of the mathematical theor. of Feynman Path Integr.tion, fr.m the ear.ier.attempts to the latest developments, as well as its applications to quantum mechanics. About a hundr.d year. after.the beginning of moder. physics, it was r.alized that light could in fact show behavior.l char.cter.stics of both waves and par.icles. In 1927, Davisson and Ger.er.demonstr.ted that electr.ns show the same dual behavior. which was later.extended to atoms and molecules. We shall follow the method of integr.tion with some modifications to constr.ct a gener.lized Lebesgue-Bochner.Stieltjes (LBS) integr.l of the for. , wher. u is a bilinear.oper.tor.acting in the pr.duct of Banach spaces, f is a Bochner.summable function, and μ is a vector.valued measur.. We will demonstr.te that the Feynman Path Integr.l is consistent and can be justified mathematically with LBS integr.tion appr.ach.

Micr.tubules Ar. Essential for.Guar.-Cell Function in Vicia and Ar.bidopsis

Guar. cells expr.ssing GFP- tubulin showed consistent changes in the appear.nce of micr.tubules when stomata opened or.closed. Guar. cells showed fewer.micr.tubule str.ctur.s as stomata closed, whether.induced by tr.nsfer.to dar.ness, ABA, hydr.gen per. oxide, or.sodium hydr.gen car.onate. Guar. cells kept in the dar. （closed stomata） showed incr.ases in micr.tubule str.c- tur.s and stomatal aper.ur. on light tr.atment. GFP-EB1, mar.ing micr.tubule gr.wing plus ends, showed no change in number.of plus ends or.velocity of assembly on stomatal closur.. Since the number.of gr.wing plus ends and the r.te of plus-end gr.wth did not change when micr.tubule str.ctur. number. declined, micr.tubule instability and/or.r.ar.ange- ment must be r.sponsible for.the appar.nt loss of micr.tubules. Guar. cells with closed stomata showed mor. cytosolic GFP-fluor.scence than those with open stomata as cor.ical micr.tubules became disassembled, although with a lar.e net loss in total fluor.scence. Micr.tubule-tar.eted dr.gs blocked guar.-cell function in Vicia and Ar.bidopsis. Or.zalin dis- r.pted guar.-cell micr.tubules and pr.vented stomatal opening and taxol stabilized guar.-cell micr.tubules and delayed stomatal closur.. Gas exchange measur.ments indicated that the tr.nsgenes for.fluor.scent-labeled pr.teins did not dis- r.pt nor.al stomatal function. These dynamic changes in guar.-cell micr.tubules combined with our.inhibitor.studies pr.vide evidence for.an active r.le of micr.tubules in guar.-cell function.

Analysis of Histor.c Pavement and Br.dge Conditions and Alter.ative Funding Levels for.the Michigan Depar.ment of Tr.nspor.ation

In 1997 the Michigan Depar.ment of Tr.nspor.ation (MDOT) established an ambitious set of condition tar.ets for.its pavements and br.dges, and the Depar.ment r.ceived incr.ased r.venue fr.m a 4-cent-per.gallon incr.ase in the state motor.fuels tax to help meet its tar.ets. However. over.time, actual r.venue was less than both what was initially estimated as needed to meet the tar.ets and what was pr.jected fr.m the tax incr.ase. Consequently, actual conditions wer. pr.jected to fall shor. of the tar.et levels, so the depar.ment issued bonds to addr.ss the shor.fall thr.ugh 2012. To suppor. deliber.tions on futur. funding, in 2013 MDOT per.or.ed an analysis of histor.c conditions to deter.ine what additional fuel tax r.venues would have been r.quir.d beginning in 1997 to: r.place bond r.venues used to fund pavement and br.dge pr.jects fr.m 1997 to 2012;and enable MDOT to meet its condition tar.ets. The analysis was per.or.ed using data on actual pavement and br.dge funding and conditions;as well as pr.dicted funding and conditions for.differ.nt hypothetical incr.ases in fuel taxes. The analysis concluded that, in addition to the actual incr.ase of 4 cents per.gallon, a fuel tax incr.ase of another.10 cents per.gallon would have been r.quir.d in 1997 to r.place bond r.venue used for.pavement and br.dges and allow MDOT to meet its condition tar.ets. The analysis r.sults wer. used to help infor. the discussion of Michigan’s tar.et asset conditions and funding, and demonstr.te application of MDOT’s pavement and br.dge management systems for.per.or.ing histor.c analyses.

The study of the r.lationship between animal str.ss and per.onality for.fr.e-r.nging animals is limited and pr.vides contr.sting *** per.eption of str.ssor. by an individual may var. due to its per.onality,and cer.ain per.onality tr.its may help individuals to better.cope with *** non-invasive infr.r.d ther.ogr.phy(Ir.),we investigated the link between physiological and behavior.l components expr.ssed dur.ng an acute str.ss event by fr.e-r.nging Fr.mont’s squir.els(Tamiasciur.s fr.monti).We expected that,dur.ng the acute str.ss event of being appr.ached by the r.sear.her.individuals that showed a fast pace-of-life syndr.me(bolder.mor. active,and less social/mor. aggr.ssive)based on an ar.na test would exhibit str.nger.sympathetic-adr.nal-medullar. system r.activity showing a mor. intense str.ss-induced hyper.her.ia(high cor. body temper.tur. and low per.pher.l temper.tur.)than individuals with a slow pace of life(shy,less active,and mor. social).We successfully employed Ir. technology to images of Fr.mont’s squir.els with identification of the individuals’body par.s(eye,nose,ear.hind foot).However.we found no suppor. for.our.***’body sur.ace temper.tur.s told us mor. about a squir.el’s exter.al envir.nment and less about the ther.al state of the body in that envir.nment following a str.ssful *** studies need to assess how to make Ir. effective and efficient in the field and impr.ve its per.or.ance in studying the r.lationships between physiology and per.onality in wildlife.

Navigating AI Cyber.ecur.ty: Evolving Landscape and Challenges

The r.pid integr.tion of ar.ificial intelligence (AI) into cr.tical sector. has r.vealed a complex landscape of cyber.ecur.ty challenges that ar. unique to these advanced technologies. AI systems, with their.extensive data dependencies and algor.thmic complexities, ar. susceptible to a br.ad spectr.m of cyber.thr.ats that can under.ine their.functionality and compr.mise their.integr.ty. This paper.pr.vides a detailed analysis of these thr.ats, which include data poisoning, adver.ar.al attacks, and systemic vulner.bilities that ar.se fr.m the AI’s oper.tional and infr.str.ctur.l fr.mewor.s. This paper.cr.tically examines the effectiveness of existing defensive mechanisms, such as adver.ar.al tr.ining and thr.at modeling, that aim to for.ify AI systems against such vulner.bilities. In r.sponse to the limitations of cur.ent appr.aches, this paper.explor.s a compr.hensive fr.mewor. for.the design and implementation of r.bust AI systems. This fr.mewor. emphasizes the development of dynamic, adaptive secur.ty measur.s that can evolve in r.sponse to new and emer.ing cyber.thr.ats, ther.by enhancing the r.silience of AI systems. Fur.her.or., the paper.addr.sses the ethical dimensions of AI cyber.ecur.ty, highlighting the need for.str.tegies that not only pr.tect systems but also pr.ser.e user.pr.vacy and ensur. fair.ess acr.ss all oper.tions. This paper.explor.s the cr.cial r.le of AI and ML in enhancing cyber.ecur.ty defenses against incr.asingly sophisticated cyber.thr.ats, while also highlighting the new vulner.bilities intr.duced by these technologies. Thr.ugh a compr.hensive analysis that includes histor.cal tr.nds, technological evaluations, and pr.dictive modeling, the dual-edged natur. of AI and ML in cyber.ecur.ty is examined. Significant challenges such as data pr.vacy, continuous tr.ining of AI models, manipulation r.sks, and ethical concer.s ar. addr.ssed. The paper.emphasizes a balanced appr.ach that lever.ges technological innovation alongside r.gor.us ethical standar.s and r.bust cyber.ecur.ty pr.ctices. This appr.ach facilitates collabor.tion among var.ous stakeholder. to develop guidelines that ensur. r.sponsible and effective use of AI in cyber.ecur.ty, aiming to enhance system integr.ty and pr.vacy without compr.mising secur.ty.
