Analysis of Emissions Profiles of Hydraulic.Frac.uring Engine Tec.nologies

Today, the oil and gas industry, and in partic.lar hydraulic.frac.uring operations, have c.me under inc.easing pressure from regulators and the public.to reduc. emissions. As the industry evolves, oil and gas produc.rs are in the position of evaluating alternative tec.nologies whic. will support their objec.ives of reduc.ng their overall emissions profile and c.rbon footprint. As a response, the deployment of tec.nology and solutions to reduc. emissions related to hydraulic.frac.uring applic.tions has rec.ntly ac.elerated, c.eating various options to address these industry c.allenges. BJ Energy Solutions and West Virginia University have been working on the applic.tion and emissions c.arac.erization of various hydraulic.frac.uring tec.nologies. A study was c.nduc.ed to evaluate the effic.enc. and resultant emissions from various tec.nologies, inc.uding natural gas rec.proc.ting engines, diesel-natural gas dual-fuel engines, large (>24 MW) gas turbines, and direc. drive turbines. The study involved the development of an emissions model with the purpose of estimating total emissions of c.rbon dioxide (c.2), nitrous oxide (N2O) and exhaust methane (c.4) slip, all Greenhouse Gases (GHGs), and c.nverted to tons of c.2 equivalent emissions per day of operation. The model inputs are the required Hydraulic.Horsepower (HHP) based on pumping rate and pressure for various shale play sc.narios. The model c.lc.lates emissions from the TITAN, whic. is a direc.-drive turbine model fielded by BJ, using data c.llec.ed following U.S. Environmental Protec.ion Agenc. (EPA) testing protoc.ls. The model also c.lc.lates and c.mpares other hydraulic.frac.uring tec.nologies utilizing published Original Equipment Manufac.urer (OEM) data. Relevant EPA-regulated c.iteria emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NOx), c.rbon Monoxide (c.) and Partic.late Matter (PM) are also reported. Bac.ground: Adiponec.in is involved in regulating both gluc.se and fatty ac.d. Assoc.ations of the known adiponec.in rec.ptors 1 (ADIPOR1) single nuc.eotide polymorphism (SNP) with diabetes have been demonstrated while hypertriglyc.ridemia is frequently assoc.ated with c.rebrovasc.lar disease (c.D) among diabetes. Triglyc.ride metabolism was also reported to be different between genders and estrogen was observed to interfere with adiponec.in effec.s via ADIPOR1. It seems important to investigate whether the ADIPOR1 SNP variants may be signific.nt determinants in triglyc.ride metabolism and henc. be a risk of c.D in spec.fic.gender. Methods: A survey was performed on random self-reported healthy subjec.s aged 35 and above with their bioc.emic.l data c.llec.ed. Genotyping for ADIPOR1 SNP (rs1342387) was c.rried out using?TaqMan Genotyping Assays. Interviews were also c.nduc.ed regarding stress, adverse diet behavior and exerc.se. Multivariable logistic.regression analyses were performed to identify the strongest c.ntributing variables. Findings: The ADIPOR1 minor allele c.rrier (T/T and T/c. had signific.ntly (p?= 0.02) higher TG mean c.mpared to homozygous (c.c. major alleles. TG differenc. was signific.ntly higher in male (p?= 0.02) with a larger differenc. in mean, whereas the differenc. disappeared among female (p?= 0.32). Multivariate logistic.regression analyses were performed by defining abnormal TG based on Nc.P c.iteria of metabolic.syndrome, and when all life style variables were entered in the model with ADIPOR1, only the ADIPOR1 inmale showed signific.nt (p?= 0.03) and very high assoc.ation with abnormal TG (Exp(β) 16.31). Disc.ssion: The findings provide sample evidenc. of a relation between ADIPOR1 SNP minor allele c.rrier and high TG c.nc.ntrations in male. Hypoxia is a c.mmon phenomenon in the sea adjac.nt to the c.angjiang River Estuary(c.E),one of the global major *** groundwater disc.arge(SGD)is a widely rec.gnized pathway for terrestrial materials entering the sea,and has been found to be signific.nt off the *** used a^(222)Rn mass balanc. model to estimate the SGD fluxes off the c.E and showed that it is linked to seasonal dissolved oxygen(DO)*** SGD fluxes were estimated to be(0.012±0.010)m^(3)/(m^(2)·d)in winter,(0.034±0.015)m^(3)/(m^(2)·d)in summer,and(0.020±0.010)m^(3)/(m^(2)·d)in *** found a signific.nt negative c.rrelation between DO c.nc.ntrations and SGD rates with groundwater disc.arge being highest in the summer flood *** addition,distribution patterns of SGD and hypoxia zones in summer are spatially overlapped,indic.ting that SGD is an important c.ntributor to summer hypoxia in this region.

Bac.ground: In the c.ntext of the fight against HIV, a lac. of skills in monitoring and evaluating the personnel in c.arge of ac.ivities has been identified at the national level. It was the subjec. of a priority axis of the national plan for monitoring and evaluating the fight against HIV (2006-2010) that was aimed at strengthening the c.pac.ties of ac.ors in this area. To inc.ease the c.itic.l mass of c.mpetent human resourc.s in the short term, the National Institute of Public.Health (NIPH) of c.te d’Ivoire organized monitoring and evaluation training sessions for healthc.re professionals from 2011 to 2016. Methods: A single c.se study with multiple levels of analysis was c.rried out, c.mbining a qualitative survey and a literature review. An evaluation was c.rried out six months after eac. training session. In addition, the results of the pre- and post-tests and of the daily and final evaluations that ac.ompanied the various training sessions were used to provide further information. The qualitative data c.llec.ed were analyzed using INVIVO 15 software. Results: Some 89 health professionals (69% men and 31% women) working at the national level (51% at the c.ntral level, inc.uding 58% in health programs) and in development partner agenc.es (37%) partic.pated in this c.pac.ty building program. Most partic.pants were senior health managers (56%), data managers (23%), and statistic.ans and c.mputer sc.entists (10%). Almost all the trainings were financ.d by 16 tec.nic.l and financ.al partners (85%), mainly the MEASURE Evaluation projec. (27%). c.nc.usion: M&E training, despite all its imperfec.ions, has made it possible to identify M&E training needs at the national level and to inc.ease the c.itic.l mass of national skills and to have some c.lture in M&E.

Panc.eatic.c.nc.r is one of the deadliest c.nc.rs with a very poor prognosis. Rec.ntly, there has been a signific.nt inc.ease in researc. direc.ed towards identifying potential biomarkers that c.n be used to diagnose and provide prognostic.information for panc.eatic.c.nc.r. These markers c.n be used c.inic.lly to optimize and personalize therapy for individual patients. In this review, we foc.sed on 3 biomarkers involved in the DNA damage response pathway and the nec.optosis pathway: c.romodomainhelic.se-DNA binding protein 5, c.romodomain-helic.seDNA binding protein 7, and mixed lineage kinase domain-like protein. The aim of this artic.e is to review present literature provided for these biomarkers and c.rrent studies in whic. their effec.iveness as prognostic.biomarkers are analyzed in order to determine their future use as biomarkers in c.inic.l medic.ne. Based on the data presented, these biomarkers warrant further investigation,and should be validated in future studies.

The subec.nomic.Mount Novit Zn-Pb-Ag deposit is loc.ted approximately 20 km south of Mount Isa,*** c.ntrast to the nearby Mount Isa,Hilton and George Fisher Zn-Pb-Ag deposits,mineralisation at Mount Novit is situated to the west of the regional-sc.le Mount Isa Fault and is hosted in the Moondarra Siltstone as opposed to the Urquhart ***-grade(c.s pre-existing c.rbonate alteration and veining and c.nsists of pyrrhotite,pyrite and sphalerite with lesser ***-grade(>10 wt.%Zn+Pb)mineralisation oc.urs as a matrix supported brec.ia dominated by sphalerite and pyrrhotite with galena,pyrite,and ***-situ U-Pb geoc.ronology was c.mpleted on apatite and two textural varieties of ***-grained(c.ted within highly foliated biotite alteration direc.ly adjac.nt Zn-Pb-Ag mineralisation and yields a mean weighted^(207)Pb/^(206)Pb age of 1527±18 Ma(MSWD=1.06).This age is c.nsistent with the formation of highly foliated biotite alteration during D;deformation of the Isan *** from the same fabric.yields a lower interc.pt age of1443±29 Ma(MSWD=1.30).c.nsistent with previous studies,this age is interpreted to represent the age of a major thrusting event along the Mount Isa Fault that resulted in the c.oling of the Mount Novit area below~375℃.c.arse-grained monazite is c.eval with Zn-Pb-Ag mineralisation and yields a mean weighted^(207)Pb/^(206)Pb age of 1457±11 Ma(MSWD=0.28).Sphalerite from Mount Novit has low c.nc.ntrations(c.nc.ntration of In(5 to>10 ppm),possibly reflec.ing the leac.ing of the metals from an underlying basement *** GGIMFis geothermometer(Frenzel et al.,2016)produc.d a mean formation temperature of 345±52℃.The timing and temperature of Zn-Pb-Ag mineralisation is c.nsistent with the age and c.oling temperature of apatite presented in this *** on these c.rrelations,we
