The Middle Paleozoic tectonic evolution of the central Korean Peninsula(Gyeonggi Massif,Hongseong-Imjingang,and Okcheon zone of Okcheon Belts)remains ***,the occurrence of high-grade metamorphism and sedimentation need further *** this study,we conducted zircon U-Pb-rare earth element analyses from in the ultramafic-mafic complex in the central Korean Peninsula(Cheonan and Gapyeong areas)and the Paleozoic metasedimentary rocks in the Okcheon Zone of the Okcheon Belt to constrain the timing of maximum depositional and metamorphic *** also examined the metamorphic P-T-t path from garnet-bearing amphibolite in the central Korean Peninsula by pseudosection modeling and *** results show that(i)some of the ultramafic-mafic complex and metasedimentary rocks in the central Korean Peninsula formed during the Middle Paleozoic(ca.450–374 Ma);(ii)garnet-bearing amphibolite underwent successive metamorphism from amphibolite facies condition(7.5–8.0 kbar and 540–630℃)at pre-peak stage to granulite facies condition(10.9–11.8 kbar and 740–820℃)at peak stage,and then retrograded into amphibolite facies condition(5.7–7.7 kbar and 530–670℃)along the clockwise P–T path during ca.403–362 *** and previous studies suggest that the central Korean Peninsula underwent subduction-related orogenic events during the Middle Paleozoic era,and it is well correlated to those of the orogenic events in the North Qinling belt.

韩国和顺煤田淳昌剪切带的构造特征

沿着和顺煤田东部边界分布的淳昌剪切带持有N—S至NE—SW走向的不连续性韧性剪切带,局部地段尚可表现出一些连续性韧性剪切带的特征。在前寒武纪花岗质片麻岩区内发育着宽数米至700m不等的糜棱岩带,具有低侧伏角的拉伸线理和高角度糜棱... 详细信息

沿着和顺煤田东部边界分布的淳昌剪切带持有N—S至NE—SW走向的不连续性韧性剪切带,局部地段尚可表现出一些连续性韧性剪切带的特征。在前寒武纪花岗质片麻岩区内发育着宽数米至700m不等的糜棱岩带,具有低侧伏角的拉伸线理和高角度糜棱岩叶理构造。基底岩中糜棱岩带剪切位移量推算为3km以上。由于二轴性应变作用,使剪切带中发生强烈的非均质性多相变形,并伴随叶理构造,它具有渐发性弯曲及各种非对称微细构造。其错动方向属右型运动,从应变分析获知,剪切带有限应变为简单剪切加上较弱的纯剪切和伴随体积减少的渐进应变过程累积形成。推测韧性剪切作用是在绿片岩相变质条件下于三叠纪末至侏罗纪中期发生的。

本文讨论了中国东南沿海和西南日本两条白垩纪-古近纪火山-侵入岩带的地球动力学特征。两条火山-侵入岩带的下火山岩系岩石经受了左旋走滑的韧性剪切变形而形成片理或片麻理构造。中国东南沿海火山-侵入活动的起始时间、动力变形和结束时间都早于日本约30Ma。西南日本高镁安山岩和埃达克岩（120～105Ma）是在大面积白垩纪岩浆作用的起始阶段由大洋俯冲板片在高温条件下部分熔融形成的。火山-侵入活动的结束标志中国东南沿海岩浆岩带是板内环境的晶洞A型花岗岩和以流纹岩为主的双峰式火山岩；在西南日本岩浆岩带是年轻地壳挤压重熔的S型过铝质石榴石/白云母细粒花岗岩和流纹岩，不存在类似华南的壳源S型花岗岩，中国东南沿海没有代表洋壳俯冲的弧岩浆岩。两条火山-侵入岩带的源区都以幔源为主并有前寒武纪再旋回地壳物质加入，它们的Sr-Nd同位素组成表明：随时间推移，中国东南沿海火山-侵入岩中幔源组分增加，而西南日本则相反。华南中生代大规模岩浆活动的开始（170＆#177;5Ma）是在古太平洋板块斜向俯冲背景下，大陆岩石圈减薄，陆内深断裂再活化的结果。东亚大陆边缘在晚中生代（120Ma）进入古太平洋板块正向俯冲构造体系，但不同地段的表现不同。

Lactobacillus plantarum inhibits epithelial barrier dysfunction and interleukin-8 secretion induced by tumor necrosis factor-a

AIM： To determine whether Lactobacillus plantarum can modify the deleterious effects of tumor necrosis factor-α （TNF-α） on intestinal epithelial cells. METHODS： Caco-2 cells were incubated with TNF-α alone or in the presence of L. plantarum. Transepithelial electrical resistance was used to measure epithelial barrier function. Interleukin 8 （IL-8） secretion by intestinal epithelial cells was measured using an ELISA. Cellular lysate proteins were immunoblotted using the anti-extracellular regulated kinase （ERK）, anti-phospho- ERK and anti-IκB-α. RESULTS： A TNF-α-induced decrease in transepithelial electrical resistance was inhibited by L. plantarum. TNF- α-induced IL-8 secretion was reduced by L. plantarum. L. plantarum inhibited the activation of ERK and the degradation of IκB-α in TNF-a-treated Caco-2 cells. CONCLUSION： Induction of epithelial barrier dysfunction and IL-8 secretion by TNF-α is inhibited byL. plantarum. Probiotics may preserve epithelial barrier function and inhibit the inflammatory response by altering the signal transduction pathway.

PSCA, Cox-2, and Ki-67 are independent, predictive markers of biochemical recurrence in clinically localized prostate cancer： a retrospective study

Prostate cancer is the second most common male cancer, with half of all patients going on to develop metastases. To better identify patients at high risk for prostate cancer progression and reduce prostate cancer-related mortality, improved prognostic factors are required. In this study, we used immunohistochemistry （IHC） to determine the prognostic values of multiple tissue biomarkers in hormone-na＇l＇ve prostatectomy specimens of prostate cancer. Using 510 prostatectomy specimens collected between 2002 and 2012, IHC analysis was performed for Cerb-2, Cyclin D1, VEGF, EGFR, Rb, PSCA, p53, Bcl-2, Cox-2, PMS2, and Ki-67 on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections. The Cox proportional hazard model was used to determine the predictive risk factors for biochemical recurrence （BCR） of prostate cancer. During a median 44-month follow-up, 128 （25.1%） patients developed BCR. A multivariate regression analysis revealed that Ki-67 （hazard ratio [HR]. 1.60, P = 0.033）, PSCA （HR： 0.42, P 〈 0.001）, and Cox-2 （HR： 2.05, P = 0.003） were the only significant prognostic tissue markers of BCR. Resection margin status （HR： 1.67, P = 0.010）, pathologic pTO/l/2 stage （vs pT3/4; HR： 0.20, P = 0.002）, preoperative PSA levels （HR.. 1.03, P 〈 0.001）, biopsied （HR： 1.30, P = 0.022） and pathologic （HR： 1.42, P = 0.005） Gleason scores, and prostate size （HR： 0.97, P = 0.003） were significant clinicopathologic factors. The expression of Ki-67, PSCA, and Cox-2 biomarkers along with other clinicopathologic factors were prognostic factors for BCR in patients with clinically localized prostate cancer following radical prostatectomy.

Noninvasive Parameters and hepatic fibrosis scores in children with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease

AIM:To evaluate the noninvasive parameters and hepatic fibrosis scores in obese children with nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).METHODS:A total of 77 children diagnosed with NAFLD via liver biopsy were included and divided into 2 subgroups according to the histopathologic staging of hepatic fibrosis:mild(stage 0-1)vs significant fibrosis(stage 2-4).Clinical and laboratory parameters were evaluated in each *** aspartate aminotransferase(AST)/alanine aminotransferase(ALT)ratio,AST/platelet ratio index(APRI),PGA index,Forns index,FIB-4,NAFLD fibrosis score,and pediatric NAFLD fibrosis index(PNFI)were ***:No clinical or biochemical parameter exhibited a significant difference between patients with mild and significant *** noninvasive hepatic fibrosis scores,only APRI and FIB4 revealed a significant difference between patients with mild and significant fibrosis(APRI:0.67±0.54 vs 0.78±0.38,P=0.032 and FIB4:0.24±0.12 vs 0.31±0.21,P=0.010).The area under the receiving operating characteristic curve of FIB4 was 0.81,followed by Forns index(0.73),APRI(0.70),NAFLD fibrosis score(0.58),AST/ALT ratio(0.53),PGA score(0.45),and PNFI(0.41).CONCLUSION:APRI and FIB4 might be useful noninvasive hepatic fibrosis scores for predicting hepatic fibrosis in children with NAFLD.

Clinical and ABCB11 profiles in Korean infants with progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis

AIM: To investigate clinical profiles and mutations of ABCB11 in Koreans with progressive familial intrahepatic cholestasis 2 and review the differences between Koreans and ***: Of 47 patients with neonatal cholestasis, five infants had chronic intrahepatic cholestasis with normal γ-glutamyl transpeptidase. Direct sequencing analyses of ABCB11, including exons and introns, were performed from peripheral ***: Living donor-liver transplantation was performed in four patients because of rapidly progressive hepatic failure and hepatocellular carcinoma. Three missense mutations were found in two patients: compound heterozygous 677C>T(S226L)/3007G>A(G1003R) and heterozygous 2296G>A(G766R). The mutations were located near and in the transmembranous space. CONCLUSION: Alterations in the transmembrane of the bile salt export pump in the Korean infants were different from those previously reported in Chinese, Japanease, Taiwan Residents, and European patients.
