The efficient utilization of visible light catalysts for organic reactions necessitates not only the effective separation of photogenerated electrons and holes to participate in the reaction,but also their ability to form key intermediates with reactant *** present study successfully synthesized a crusiform-like mesoporous structure of nitrogen-doped carbon-coated Cu_(2)O/Cu(Cu_(2)O/Cu/n-C)with a Cu_(2)O/dual electron acceptor interface using etched hKUST-1 as the precursor.A series of theoretical and experimental studies have demonstrated that the Cu_(2)O/Cu/n-C interface in the photocatalytic homo-coupling of terminal alkynes not only effectively enh.nces the separation of photogenerated electron−hole pairs,but also facilitates the formation of the key intermediate[Cu_(2)O/Cu/n-C]-ph.nylacetylide and promotes the rearrangement of its internal *** a result,the homo-coupling reaction can be effectively *** primary reason for the functional role of Cu_(2)O/Cu/n-C interface lies in the downward bending of energy band from Cu_(2)O to n-doped C layers,induced by the different work functions of Cu_(2)O,Cu and n-doped C ***,Cu_(2)O/Cu/n-C photocatalysts demonstrate exceptional photocatalytic activity in the homo-coupling reaction of terminal alkynes under blue-light irradiation and air *** present study presents a novel research methodology for the development of highly efficient visible light catalysts to facilitate organic reactions in future applications.

Catch organism assemblages along artificial reefs area and adjacent waters in haizhou Bay

To better understand the community patterns mediated by connectivity in artificial reefs of coastal areas, it is necessary to understand the distribution and coexistence of organisms with artificial reefs area and adjacent waters. This study was conducted to examine main catches assemblages collected by trawls in haizhou Bay,which included five habitats: the artificial reef area(AR), aquaculture area(AA), natural area(nA), estuary area(EA) and compreh.nsive effect area(CEA). The result shows that the total abundances of species in the five habitats were highly different(univariate PERMAnOVA: P = 0.001, n = 24), but some species were also unique in their habitat(e.g. Scapharca subcrenata and Glossaulax didyma in AA). The body size distribution of specific species between habitats are different. For Collichthys lucidus, their body size in AR(14.63 cm ± 1.64 cm) and EA(14.3 cm ± 0.85 cm) is higher th.n that in nA(10.65 cm ± 1.64 cm), CEA(11.28 cm ± 1.85 cm) and AA(12.1 cm ±0.43 cm), which indicates the potential connection from AR to EA mediated by their adult population. We concluded that artificial reefs in AR can be considered key components that have the ability to support species assemblages in adjacent habitats. This study has implications for the conservation and monitoring of species assemblages in coastal areas in terms of that artificial reefs can be applied in different stages of habitat protection implementation and in different combinations of scenarios.

Extreme drought with seasonal timing consistently promotes Ch_(4) uptake through inconsistent pathways in a temperate grassland, Ch.na

Meth.ne(Ch_(4))is a potent greenhouse gas that has a substantial impact on global warming due to its substantial influence on the greenhouse *** extreme precipitation events,such as drought,attributable to global warming that caused by greenhouse gases,exert a profound impact on the intricate biological processes associated with Ch_(4) ***,the timing of extreme drought occurrence emerges as a pivotal factor influencing Ch_(4) uptake,even wh.n the degree of drought remains ***,it is still unclear how the growing season regulates the response of Ch_(4) uptake to extreme *** an effort to bridge this knowledge gap,we conducted a field manipulative experiment to evaluate the impact of extreme drought on Ch_(4) uptake during early,middle,and late growing stages in a temperate steppe of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region,*** result showed that all extreme drought consistently exerted positive effects on Ch_(4) uptake regardless of seasonal ***,the magnitude of this effect varied depending on the timing of season,as evidenced by a stronger effect in early growing stage th.n in middle and late growing ***,the pathways of Ch_(4) uptake were different from seasonal *** drought affected soil physical-chemical properties and aboveground biomass(AGB),consequently leading to ch.nges in Ch_(4) *** structural equation model showed that drought both in the early and middle growing stages enh.nced Ch_(4) uptake due to reduced soil water content(SWC),leading to a decrease in nO_(3)–-n and an increase in pmoA ***,drought in late growing stage primarily enh.nced Ch_(4) uptake only by decreasing *** results suggested that seasonal timing significantly contributed to regulate the impacts of extreme drought pathways and magnitudes on Ch_(4) *** findings can provide substantial implications for understanding how extreme droughts affect Ch_(4) uptake and improve the prediction of

Effects of typical karst tourist town on the Lijiang River water: from heavy metals to n-nitrosamines

n-nitrosamines are nitrogenous organic pollutants with high carcinogenicity to human. heavy metal pollution in aquatic system is currently a major environmental problem. Tourism in typical karst areas may influence the environment through wastewater discharge. however， it remains unclear whether these activities would cause water pollution. To evaluate the impact of tourism activities in typical tourist towns， this study investigated the occurrence and sources of 18 n-nitrosamines， eight heavy metals （hMs）， and dissolved inorganic nitrogen （DIn） in the Lijiang River and its tributaries. Seven n-nitrosamines were detected as the dominant compounds in n-nitroso-n-ethylaniline （nEA， average of 24.8 ng/L） and n-nitroso-l-proline （nPRO， 20.4 ng/L）， while especially low concentrations of hMs （Mn， Cu， As， ni， Cr， Co， Pb， and Cd） and DIn (nh4+-n， nO2--n， and nO3--n) were observed. The most important influencing factors were seasonal factors， followed by land-use type and mainstem and tributary factors. Principal component analysis revealed that in the city with developed tourism and relatively less heavy industry， aquaculture and agricultural wastewater were identified as the primary sources of n-nitrosamines. Meanwhile， domestic sewage and agricultural wastewater were found to be the main sources of hMs and DIn， respectively. The ecological risk assessments for all pollutants are relatively low （herefore， n-nitrosamines， hMs， and DIn pollution caused by tourist activities pose a negligible risk to the Lijiang River.

Optimizing high-coordination shell of Co-based single-atom catalysts for efficient ORR and zinc-air batteries

Atom-level modulation of the coordination environment for single-atom catalysts(SACs)is considered as an effective strategy for elevating the catalytic *** the Mnxsite,breaking the symmetrical geometry and charge distribution by introducing relatively weak electronegative atoms into the first/second shell is an efficient way,but it remains challenging for elucidating the underlying mech.nism of ***,a practical strategy was reported to rationally design single cobalt atoms coordinated with both phosphorus and nitrogen atoms in a hierarchically porous carbon derived from metal-organic frameworks.X-ray absorption spectrum reveals that atomically dispersed Co sites are coordinated with four n atoms in the first shell and varying numbers of P atoms in the second shell(denoted as Co-n/P-C).The prepared catalyst exhibits excellent oxygen reduction reaction(ORR)activity as well as zinc-air battery *** introduction of P atoms in the Co-SACs weakens the interaction between Co and n,significantly promoting the adsorption process of ^(*)OOh,resulting in the acceleration of reaction kinetics and reduction of thermodynamic barrier,responsible for the increased intrinsic *** discovery provides insights into an ultimate design of single-atom catalysts with adjustable electrocatalytic activities for efficient electrochemical energy conversion.
