In this paper,an elasto-plastic constitutive model is employed to capture the shear failure that may occur in a rock mass presenting mechanical discontinuities,such as faults,fractures,bedding planes or other planar weak *** failure may occur in two modes:a sliding failure on the weak plane or an intrinsic failure of the rock *** rock matrix is expected to behave elastically or fail in a brittle manner,being represented by a non-associated Mohr-Coulomb behavior,while the sliding failure is represented by the evaluation of the Coulomb criterion on an explicitly defined *** may furthermore affect the hydraulic properties of the rock mass:the shearing of the weakness plane may create a transmissive fluid *** of the mechanical submodel is conducted by comparison with an analytical solution,while the coupled hydro-mechanical behavior is validated with field data and will be applied within a model and code validation *** work presented here aims at documenting the progress in code development,while accurate match of the field data with the numerical results is current work in progress.

Aims In this paper,we highlighted some key progresses in mangrove conservation,restoration and research in China during last two *** Based on intensive literature review,we compared the distribution and areas of existing mangroves among selected provinces of China,discussed the issues associated with mangrove conservation and restoration and highlighted major progresses on mangrove research conducted by key institutions or universities in China's Mainland,Hong Kong,Taiwan and *** findings The population boom and rapid economic developments have greatly reduced mangrove areas in China since 1980s,leaving only 22700 ha mangroves in China's Mainland in *** government has launched a series of programs to protect mangroves since 1980s and has established mangrove ecosystems as high-priority areas for improving environmental and living resource *** last three decades,a total of 34 natural mangrove conservation areas have been established,which accounts for 80%of the total existing mangroves areas in *** restoration areas in China' Mainland accounted for<7%of the total mangroves areas in 2002.A great deal of research papers on Chinese mangroves has been published in international ***,more systematic protection strategies and active restoration measurements are still urgently needed in order to preserve these valuable resources in China.

InGaN MQW LEDs, grown by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) on Si(111) substrates, were successfully bonded and transferred onto new Si substrate. After chemical etching Si(111) substrate and inductively coupled plasma (ICP) etching the transferred LED film to Si-doped layer, a vertical structure GaN blue LEDs were then fabricated. The characteristics of the lateral structure LED (grown on Si) and the vertical structure LED (bonded on Si) were investigated. It shows the performance of ver- tical structure LEDs had obviously been improved compared to the lateral structure LEDs and the tensile stress in GaN layer of vertical structure LEDs is smaller than that in lateral structure LEDs.

Precursor-derived ceramic SiOC(PDC-SiOC)microlattices exhibit excellent oxidation resistance,high-temperature stability,and superior mechanical ***,the printing accuracy of the PDC-SiOC microlattices by 3D printing is still limited,and mechanical properties of the PDC-SiOC microlattices have not been studied ***,PDC-SiOC octet microlattices were fabricated by projection micro stereolithography(PμSL)3D printing,and photoabsorber(Sudan III)’s effect on the accuracy was systematically *** results showed that the addition of Sudan III improved the printing accuracy ***,the ceramization process of the green body was analyzed in *** order of the green body decreased,and most of their chemical bonds were broken during *** that,the PDC-SiOC microlattices with different truss diameters in the range of 52–220μm were fabricated,and their mechanical properties were *** PDC-SiOC microlattices with a truss diameter of 52μm exhibited higher compression strength(31 MPa)than those with bigger truss *** size effect among the PDC-SiOC microlattices was *** work provides a deeper insight into the manufacturing of PDC-SiOC micro-scaled architectures by 3D printing and paves a path to the research of the size effect in ceramic structures.

Salts containing aniline radical cations have been isolated and characterized by electron paramagnetic resonance(EPR)spectroscopy, UV-Vis absorption spectroscopy and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The EPR spectra and theoretical calculations indicate the unpaired electron is delocalized on phenyl rings and nitrogen atoms. Both radical cations feature a quinoidal geometry with a partially double C–N bond, but are distinct in that the C–N bond is coplanar to the phenyl plane in one cation while deviates from the plane in the other due to steric crowding. The work provides the first unequivocal examples of stable aniline radical cations.
