In this article, morphology, structure and size controllable chitosan microspheres with high mechanical strength were synthesized by microfluidic technology combining chemical crosslinking and used as an adsorbent for methyl orange. The synthesized adsorbents were characterized using scanning electron microscopy(SEM),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR), and an Energy Dispersive Spectrometer(EDS). The effect of pH revealed that the adsorption process depended on pH and the pH variation of methyl orange solution after adsorption indicated that adsorption capacity was affected through the associated role of chitosan nature and pH variation. Experimental results suggested that the as-prepared chitosan microspheres were controlled within a narrow size distribution(coefficients of variation is 1.81%), whose adsorption capacity reached to 207 mg·g^(-1) and mechanical strength was suitable to resist forces. In addition, the adsorption isotherm was well fitted with the Langmuir model, and the adsorption kinetic was best described by the pseudo-second-order kinetic model.The high performance microfluidic-synthesized chitosan microspheres have promising potentials in the applications of removing dyes from wastewater.

A microsphere biosorbent with uniform size （CV = 1.52%）, controllable morphology and component, and high mechanical strength was synthesized from chitosan by microfluidic technology combining with chemical crosslinking and solvent extraction. This chitosan microsphere （CS-MS） was prepared with a two-step solidification process, which was acquired by drying for the enhancement of mechanical property in final. The adsorption behavior of CS-MS towards copper （II） and main influencing factors on adsorption performance were investigated by batch experiments. Kinetic data high-lighted dominant chemical bonding along with electrons transferring in adsorption process. Isothermal analysis indicated that adsorption capacity was relevant to the number of active site. All these explorations provided a new direction for preparing highly comprehensive performance sorbent used in heavy metal treatment via microfluidic technology.

“概率统计”是一门应用性很强的大学数学基础课程。地质空间是一个高度不确定性的复杂系统,地质过程具有不确定性,研究地质空间和地质过程常用的数学模型是随机数学类模型,因此概率统计在地球科学中有着广泛的应用。本文结合办学特色,开展基于地球科学应用为特色的地矿类“概率统计”课程教学改革研究与实践,包括教学改革的必要性、主要工作和研究成果。研究结果显示,结合专业应用的课程教学改革可以有效地提高学生的学习兴趣和应用能力。

泰莱地区矿产资源丰富,拥有铁矿、金矿、煤等多种金属及非金属矿产资源。本文采用地质勘探、地球物理、地球化学、自然重砂特征以及遥感等手段,对区内成矿地质条件和矿产资源特征进行调查研究。梳理了研究区域内矿床、矿(化)点等71处,其中包括新发现矿(化)点7处;确定了各矿种的矿床地质特征、成因类型以及成矿时代;总结了区域成矿规律与成矿模式,以及划分了成矿远景与找矿靶区。本研究为下一步找矿方向与工作布署提供了重要参考与指导意义。

Thermomorphogenesis and the heat shock(HS)response are distinct thermal responses in plants that are regulated by PHYTOCHROME-INTERACTING FACTOR 4(PIF4)and HEAT SHOCK FACTOR A1s(HSFA1s),respectively.Little is known about whether these responses are interconnected and whether they are activated by similar mechanisms.An analysis of transcriptome dynamics in response to warm temperature(28℃)treatment revealed that 30 min of exposure activated the expression of a subset of HSFA1 target genes in Arabidopsis thaliana.Meanwhile,a loss-of-function HSFA1 quadruple mutant(hsfa1-cq)was insensitive to warm temperature-induced hypocotyl growth.In hsfa1-cq plants grown at 28℃,the protein and transcript levels of PIF4 were greatly reduced,and the circadian rhythm of many thermomorphogenesis-related genes(including PIF4)was disturbed.Additionally,the nuclear localization of HSFA1s and the binding of HSFA1d to the PIF4 promoter increased following warm temperature exposure,whereas PIF4 overexpression in hsfa1-cq partially rescued the altered warm temperature-induced hypocotyl growth of the mutant.Taken together,these results suggest that HSFA1s are required for PIF4 accumulation at a warm temperature,and they establish a central role for HSFA1s in regulating both thermomorphogenesis and HS responses in Arabidopsis.

Perovskite oxides(POs)are emerging as a class of highly efficient catalysts for reducing oxygen to H_(2)O.Although a rich variety of POs-based catalysts have been developed by tuning the complex composition,a highly efficient PO catalyst that is able to alter the reaction pathway from a 4e−process to a 2e−process for H_(2)O_(2)production has rarely been achieved.We modified the structure and composition of a Ca-and Nb-based PO material by realizing a uniform two-dimensional(2D)morphology and varied Ta doping,resulting in the 2D Ca_(2)Nb_(3−x)Ta_(x)O_(10)−(x=0,0.5,1,and 1.5)monolayer catalysts.The obtained catalysts exhibit a dominant 2e−pathway and show exceptional H_(2)O_(2)production efficiency.The typical Ca_(2)Nb_(2.5)Ta_(0.5)O_(10)−nanoflakes showed an onset potential of 0.735 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE),a remarkably high selectivity over 95%across a wide range of 0.3-0.7 V,an impressively high Faradaic efficiency of 94%,and a notable H_(2)O_(2)productivity of 1571 mmol·gcat^(−1)·h^(−1).These findings highlight the great potential of 2D perovskite oxide nanoflakes as advanced electrocatalysts for 2e−oxygen reduction reaction.

Photon counting technique as a potential tool in micro-defect detection of epoxy insulation pull rod in gas-insulated switchgears

The micro-defects in epoxy-based insulation materials generate a local high electric field which results in continuous degradation,seriously endangering the insulation system of gas-insulated switchgears.A highly sensitive detection technique is reported for micro-defects of insulation pull rods based on the photon counting(PC)technique.The re-sults demonstrated that for an epoxy-based insulation pull rod,the photons released during electroluminescence and ionisation at 2 kV,which is less than the partial discharge inception voltage,can be clearly detected.The findings presented a strong correlation between photon counts and defect severity.Discourse has been conducted to elucidate the mechanism behind defect-induced PC,employing the amplification of ionising luminescence through electric field distortion induced by micro defects and the augmentation of electroluminescence through the aggregation of trap charge.In this regard,the authors verified that PC can serve as a potential tool in the detection of micro-insulation defects,which also has huge potential in online insulation condition monitoring.

Ultrasmall gold nanoparticles(AuNPs)typically includes atomically precise gold nanoclusters(AuNCs)and AuNPs with a core size below 3 nm.Serving as a bridge between small molecules and traditional inorganic nanoparticles,the ultrasmall AuNPs show the unique advantages of both small molecules(e.g.,rapid distribution,renal clearance,low non-specific organ accumulation)and nanoparticles(e.g.,long blood circulation and enhanced permeability and retention effect).The emergence of ultrasmall AuNPs creates significant opportunities to address many challenges in the health field including disease diagnosis,monitoring and treatment.Since the nano–bio interaction dictates the overall biological applications of the ultrasmall AuNPs,this review elucidates the recent advances in the biological interactions and imaging of ultrasmall AuNPs.We begin with the introduction of the factors that influence the cellular interactions of ultrasmall AuNPs.We then discuss the organ interactions,especially focus on the interactions of the liver and kidneys.We further present the recent advances in the tumor interactions of ultrasmall AuNPs.In addition,the imaging performance of the ultrasmall AuNPs is summarized and discussed.Finally,we summarize this review and provide some perspective on the future research direction of the ultrasmall AuNPs,aiming to accelerate their clinical translation.

Juvenile idiopathic arthritis (JIA) is one of the most common chronic inflammatory rheumatic diseases in children,with onset before age 16 and lasting for more than 6 weeks.JIA is a highly heterogeneous condition with various consequences for health and quality of life.For some JIA patients,early detection and intervention remain challenging.As a result,further investigation of the complex and unknown mechanisms underlying JIA is required.Advances in technology now allow us to describe the biological heterogeneity and function of individual cell populations in JIA.Through this review,we hope to provide novel ideas and potential targets for the diagnosis and treatment of JIA by summarizing the current findings of single-cell RNA sequencing studies and understanding how the major cell subsets drive JIA pathogenesis.
