Moisture-enabled electricity(ME)is a method of converting the potential energy of water in the external environment into electrical energy through the interaction of functional materials with water molecules and can be directly applied to energy harvesting and signal expression.However,ME can be unreliable in numerous applications due to its sluggish response to moisture,thus sacrificing the value of fast energy harvesting and highly accurate information representation.Here,by constructing a moisture-electric-moisture-sensitive(ME-MS)heterostructure,we develop an efficient ME generator with ultra-fast electric response to moisture achieved by triggering Grotthuss protons hopping in the sensitized ZnO,which modulates the heterostructure built-in interfacial potential,enables quick response(0.435 s),an unprecedented ultra-fast response rate of 972.4 mV s^(−1),and a durable electrical signal output for 8 h without any attenuation.Our research provides an efficient way to generate electricity and important insight for a deeper understanding of the mechanisms of moisture-generated carrier migration in ME generator,which has a more comprehensive working scene and can serve as a typical model for human health monitoring and smart medical electronics design.

How to achieve uniform mixing of highly viscous fluids with low energy consumption is a major industry demand and one of the hot spots of mixing research.A typical multistage rotor-stator mixer(MRSM)equipped with a distributor was investigated to disclose the effects on the mixing performance and power consumption for highly viscous fluids via numerical simulation,considering the influence factors associated with different geometric parameters of both MRSM and the distributor.The mixing index and power consumption are used to evaluate the performance of the mixers.The dimensionless correlations for the mixing index and the power consumption are established considering the factors including the flow rate,rotor speed,the number of mixing units.Adopting the optimized mixer with the distributor(X1-T1),the mixing index increases to 0.85(obviously higher than 0.46 for the mixer T1 without a distributor),meanwhile the corresponding power consumption is about 1/5 of that of T1 achieving the same mixing effect.It illustrates that the distributor can significantly improve the mixing of highly viscous fluids in the MRSM without the cost of large power consumption.These results would provide a guidance on the design and optimization of multistage rotor-stator mixers in industrial applications.

Volatile organic compounds(VOCs)play an important role in the formation of ground-level ozone and secondary organic aerosol(SOA),and they have been key issues in current air pollution prevention and control in China.Considerable attention has been paid to industrial activities due to their large and relatively complex VOCs emissions.The present research aims to provide a comprehensive review on whole-process control of industrial VOCs,which mainly includes source reduction,collection enhancement and end-pipe treatments.Lower VOCs materials including water-borne ones are the keys to source substitution in industries related to coating and solvent usage,leak detection and repair(LDAR)should be regarded as an efficient means of source reduction in refining,petrochemical and other chemical industries.Several types of VOCs collection methods such as gas-collecting hoods,airtight partitions and others are discussed,and airtight collection at negative pressure yields the best collection efficiency.Current end-pipe treatments like UV oxidation,low-temperature plasma,activated carbon adsorption,combustion,biodegradation,and adsorption-combustion are discussed in detail.Finally,several recommendations are made for future advanced treatment and policy development in industrial VOCs emission control.

Promotional effect of Cu additive for the selective catalytic oxidation of n-butylamine over CeZrO_(x)catalyst

The catalytic elimination of nitrogen-containing volatile organic compounds(NVOCs)still encounters bottlenecks in NO_(x)formation and low N_(2)selectivity.Here,a series of Cu-promoted Ce-Zr mixed oxide catalysts were synthesized using a simple precipitation approach,and n-butylamine was adopted as the probe pollutant to evaluate their catalytic performance.The Ce Cu_(10%)ZrO_(x)catalyst exhibited the best catalytic activity,with 100%n-butylamine conversion and 90%N_(2)selectivity at 250℃.Concurrently,this sample also displayed good water resistance.A detailed characterization of the catalyst was performed through a series of experimental studies and theoretical calculations.The addition of Cu increased the redox property and promoted the production of oxygen vacancies,all of which were favorable for the greatest nbutylamine selective catalytic oxidation performance.The changes of oxygen vacancies over Ce Cu_(10%)ZrO_(x)in reaction process were studied by in situ Raman spectra.Moreover,in situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectra(DRIFTs)and theoretical calculations were employed to explore the reaction mechanism of n-butylamine selective oxidation.The high activity and selectivity of this catalyst confirm the practical feasibility of the selective oxidation of n-butylamine to CO_(2)and N_(2),and the exploration of the reaction mechanism provides new insights into the further design of catalysts.

Permian tectonic evolution and continental accretion in the eastern Central Asian Orogenic Belt:A perspective from the intrusive rocks

The tectonic evolution and history of continental accretion of the eastern Central Asian Orogenic Belt(CAOB)are not yet fully understood.In this study,we investigate Permian intrusive rocks from the Jiamusi Block of the eastern CAOB to constrain the tectonic evolution and continental accretion of this region during the late-stage evolution of the Paleo-Asian Ocean.Our new data show that Early Permian gabbro-diorites were derived from the partial melting of depleted mantle metasomatized by oceanic-slab-released fluids.Middle Permian adakitic granites have low Na2O and MgO and high K2O contents,indicating a thickened-lower-crust source.Late Permian S-type granites were derived from the partial melting of continental crust.A compilation of the available geochronological data for Permian intrusive rocks(including adakitic and A-,S-,and I-type granites and mafic rocks)from the eastern CAOB reveals that the A-type granites formed mainly during the Early–Middle Permian,S-type and adakitic granites mostly during the Middle–Late Permian,and I-type granites and mantle-derived mafic rocks throughout the Permian.The A-type granites,which are proposed to have been sourced from thinned continental crust,indicate an extensional setting in the eastern CAOB during the Early Permian.The Middle–Late Permian adakitic granites imply a thickened continental crust,which indicates a compressional setting.Therefore,the eastern CAOB underwent a transition from extension to compression during the Middle Permian,which was probably triggered by the late-stage subduction of Paleo-Asian oceanic crust.Considering the petrogenesis of the intrusive rocks and inferred regional tectonic evolution of the eastern CAOB,we propose that vertical underplating of mantle-and oceanic-slabderived magmas contributed the materials for continental crust accretion.

由于无线传感器网络(WSN)中传感器的传输功率有限,同时可能与基站(BS)传输距离较远,造成无法及时交付数据,数据新鲜度过低,影响时延敏感型业务决策质量。因此,采用无人机(UAV)辅助收集传感器数据,成为提升无线传感器网络数据新鲜度的有效手段。该文通过信息年龄(AoI)性能指标评估无线传感器网络数据新鲜度,并基于集中式训练分布式执行框架的多智能体近端策略优化(MAPPO)方法研究了无人机轨迹优化算法。通过联合优化所有无人机的飞行轨迹,实现地面节点平均加权信息年龄的最小化。仿真结果验证了所提多无人机路径规划算法在降低无线传感器网络信息年龄方面的有效性。

Acylation of 2-methylnaphthalene(2-MN) is a very important reaction in organic synthesis,and the effiency of the continuous reactor is more than one of the batch reactor.Considering that the Friedel–Crafts acylation is a rapid exothermic reaction,in this study,we perform the acylation of 2-MN in a stainless steel microchannel flow reactor,which is characterized by high mass and heat transfer rates.The effect of reactant ratio,mixing temperature,reaction temperature,and reaction time on product yield and selectivity were investigated.Under the optimal conditions,2-methyl-6-propionylnaphthalene(2,6-MPN) was obtained in 85.8% yield with 87.5% selectivity.Compared with the conventional batch system,the continuous flow microchannel reactor provides a more efficient method for the synthesis of 2,6-MPN.

A review of regional groundwater flow modeling

Significant advances in regional groundwater flow modeling have been driven by the demand to predict regional impacts of human inferences on groundwater systems and associated environment. The wide availability of powerful computers, user friendly modeling systems and GIS stimulates an exponential growth of regional groundwater modeling. Large scale transient groundwater models have been built to analyze regional flow systems, to simulate water budget components changes, and to optimize groundwater develop- ment scenarios. This paper reviews the historical development of regional groundwater modeling. Examples of Death Valley and Great Artesian Basin transient groundwater models are introduced to show the application of large scale regional groundwater flow models. Specific methodologies for regional groundwater flow modeling are descried and special issues in regional groundwater flow modeling are discussed.
