A fixed-point observation method was designed to research the dynamic tribological performance of one certain resin-based friction materials. The friction test was performed through a constant speed friction tester under various temperature conditions. It was found that the dynamic tribological performance of materials has a good consistency with the dynamic evolution of worn surfaces. At lower temperatures, the friction coefficient and wear rate were constant, resulted from the stable worn surfaces. At higher temperatures, the friction coefficient increased gradually, while the wear rate decreased, due to the increasing contact area and Fe concentration. A fade occurred above 250 ℃, which can be explained by the degradation of binders.

BACKGROUND： Estrogen is neuroprotective effects such as breast carcinoma, endometria but long-term estrogen treatment can induce side cancer, and stroke. However, phytoestrogen is neuroprotective without these side effects. OBJECTIVE： To study the effects of Ginsenoside Rgl on facial neurons and brain-derived neurotrophic factor （BDNF） expression in the facial nucleus in ovariectomized rats. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING： The randomized, controlled animal experiments were performed at the Ultrasonic Institute, Second Affiliated Hospital, Chongqing Medical University, China, from September 2007 to September 2008. MATERIALS： Ginsenoside Rgl （Sigma, USA）, rabbit anti-rat BDNF, Bcl-2, Bax antibodies, biotin-labeled goat anti-rabbit IgG （Boster, China）, and a TUNEL kit （Roche, Germany） were used in this study. METHODS： A total of 48 adult Sprague Dawley rats undergoing ovariectomy were randomly assigned into sham operation （n = 8）, model （n = 20）, and Ginsenoside Rgl （n = 20） groups. Facial nerve damage was induced by bilateral clamping of the facial nerve trunk. The bilateral facial nerve trunk was exposed in the sham operation group, with no clamping. Rats in the Ginsenoside Rgl group were intraperitoneally injected with 10 mg/kg per day Ginsenoside Rgl; other groups received 2 mL saline, once a day, for 14 days. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES： Morphologic changes in neurons of the facial nucleus were observed following hematoxylin-eosin staining. Neuronal apoptosis was detected by TUNEL. Changes in ultrastructure of the facial nerve fibers were observed with a transmission electron microscope. Expression of BDNF, Bcl-2, and Bax protein was quantified by semiquantitative immunohistochemistry. RESULTS： At 3-14 days following facial nerve damage, Ginsenoside Rgl increased BDNF expression and the number of regenerated nerve fibers, and produced thicker myelin sheaths （P 〈 0.05）. Dissimilar metal joining of Ti-6AI-4V （TC4） titanium alloy to as-rolled 40Cr steel rods was conducted with friction welding, and the effect of post-weld heat treatment （PWHT） on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the resultant joints was investigated. The average tensile strength of the as-welded joints reached 766 MPa and failure occurred in 40Cr steel base metal. However, after PWHT at 600℃ for 0.5, 1, 2 and 3 h, the tensile strength of the joints decreased and fracture happened through the interface with quasi-cleavage features. The bending angle of specimens was improved from 9.6° in as-welded state to 32.5° after PWHT for 2 h. The tensile strength of the joint was enhanced by martensitic transformation near the interface in as-welded state. Sorbite formed near the interface in PWHT state and improved the bending ductility of the joint. TiC brittle phase formed at the interface after PWHT for 0.5 h and deteriorated the tensile strength and bending ductility of the joint. After PWHT for 2 h, no TiC phase was detected at the interface. The microhardness on the interface in as-welded state was higher than that after PWHT, indicating that the decrease of microhardness around the interface could be accompanied by degradation of tensile strength but improvement of bending ductility of the joints.

TEM investigations on hydrogen induced phase transformation in Ti-6Al-4V alloys

The TEM and HRTEM were utilized to investigate the phase transformation of hydrogenated Ti-6Al-4V alloys （0 wt pct–0.9 wt pct H） treated by annealing and quenching from β field. The results indicate that the orthorhombic α martensite and β phase appear progressively with the increase of hydrogen concentration. On the other hand, hydrides with sizes of 2–5 nm are observed in the specimens containing more than 0.6 wt pct hydrogen. The formation of α and twins can be attributed to the internal stress caused by solid solution of hydrogen and hydrides precipitation.

Carbon capture,utilization,and storage(CCUS)is estimated to contribute substantial CO_(2)emission reduction to carbon neutrality in *** is yet a large gap between such enormous demand and the current capacity,and thus a sound enabling environment with sufficient policy support is imperative for CCUS *** study reviewed 59 CCUS-related policy documents issued by the Chinese government as of July 2022,and found that a supporting policy framework for CCUS is taking embryonic form in *** than ten departments of the central government have involved CCUS in their policies,of which the State Council,the National Development and Reform Commission(NDRC),the Ministry of Science and Technology(MOST),and the Ministry of Ecological Environment(MEE)have given the greatest attention with different *** policy terms are further analyzed following the method of content analysis and categorized into supply-,environment-and demand-type *** results indicate that supply-type policies are unbalanced in policy objectives,as policy terms on technology research and demonstration greatly outnumber those on other objectives,and the attention to weak links and industrial sectors is far from ***-type policies,especially legislations,standards,and incentives,are inadequate in pertinence and ***-type policies are absent in the current policy system but is essential to drive the demand for the CCUS technology in domestic and foreign *** meet the reduction demand of China's carbon neutral goal,policies need to be tailored according to needs of each specific technology and implemented in an orderly manner with well-balanced use on multiple objectives.

Cu-Ni-Si alloys are widely used due to their good electrical conductivities in combination with high strength and hardness. In the present work, minor-alloying with M =（Cr, Fe, Mo, Zr） was conducted for the objective of further improving their hardness while maintaining their conductivity level. A cluster-plus-glue-atom model was introduced to design the compositions of M-alloyed Cu-Ni-Si alloys, in which an ideal composition formula[（Ni,Si,M）-Cu;]Cu;（molar proportion） was proposed. To guarantee the complete precipitation of solute elements in fine δ-Ni;Si precipitates, the atomic ratio of（Ni,M）/Si was set as 2/1. Thus the designed alloy series of Cu;（Ni/Zr）;Si;（Cr/Fe/Mo）;（at%） were arc-melted into ingots under argon atmosphere, and solidsolutioned at 950 ℃ for 1 h plus water quenching and then aged at 450 ℃ for different hours. The experimental results showed that these designed alloys exhibit high hardness（HV> 1.7 GPa） and good electrical conductivities（≥ 35% IACS）. Specifically, the quinary Cu;Ni;Si;（Cr/Fe）;Zr;alloys(Cu-3.32 Ni-0.93 Si-0.37（Cr/Fe）-0.30 Zr wt%) possess both a high hardness with HV = 2.5-2.7 GPa, comparable to the highstrength KLFA85 alloy（Cu-3.2 Ni-0.7 Si-1.1 Zn wt%,HV= 2.548 GPa）,and a good electrical conductivity（35-36% IACS）.

Using naturally colored cotton(NCC)can eliminate dyeing,printing and industrial processing,and reduce sewage discharge and energy ***(PAs),the primary coloration components in brown fibers,are polyphenols formed by oligomers or polymers of flavan-3-ol units derived from *** essential structural genes for flavanone and flavonoid hydroxylation encoding flavanone-3-hydroxylase(F3H),flavonoid 3’-hydroxylase(F3’H)and flavonoid 3’5’-hydroxylase(F3’5’H)are initially committed in the flavonoid biosynthesis pathway to produce common *** three genes were all expressed predominantly in developing fibers of NCCs,and their expression patterns varied temporally and spatially among NCC *** GhF3Hi,GhF3’Hi and GhF3’5’Hi silenced lines of NCC varieties XC20 and ZX1,the expression level of the three genes decreased in developing cotton fiber,negatively correlated with anthocyanidin content and fiber color *** color depth and type in RNAi lines changed with endogenous gene silencing efficiency and expression pattern,the three hydroxylase genes functioned in fiber color ***3H showed functional differentiation among NCC varieties and GhF3’H acted in the accumulation of anthocyanin in *** with GhF3’H,GhF3’5’H was expressed more highly in brown fiber with a longer duration of expression and caused lighter color of fibers in GhF3’5’H silenced *** three genes regulating fiber color depth and type could be used to improve these traits by genetic manipulation.

BACKGROUND： Studies have demonstrated that damaged facial nerves synthesize prosaposin to promote repair of facial neurons. OBJECTIVE： To observe time-course changes of prosaposin expression in the facial nerve nucleus of Sprague Dawley rats following facial nerve transection and repair. DESIGN, TIME AND SETTING： A randomized control neuropathological animal experiment was performed in Chongqing Medical University between March 2007 and September 2008. MATERIALS： A total of 48 adult, male, Sprague Dawley rats were selected and randomly divided into transection and transection ＋ end-to-end anastomosis groups （n =24）. Rabbit anti-rat prosaposin antibody, instant SABC immunohistochemical kit, and antibody dilution solution were purchased from Wuhan Uscn Science Co., Ltd., China. METHODS： In the transection group, the nerve trunk of the distal retroauricular branch of the left facial nerves was ligated in Sprague Dawley rats, and a 5-mm nerve trunk at the distal end of the ligation site was removed. In the transection ＋ end-to-end anastomosis group, epineurial anastomosis was performed immediately following transection of the left facial nerves. The right facial nerves in the two groups served as the normal control group. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES： The number of prosaposin-positive neurons, as welt as intensity of immunostaining in facial nerve nucleus, following transection and end-to-end anastomosis were determined by immunohistochemistry at 1, 3, 7, 14, 21, and 35 days after injury. RESULTS： Transection group： transection of facial nerves resulted in increased number of prosaposin-positive neurons and immunoreactivity intensity in the facial nucleus on day 1. These values significantly increased by day 3. Expression was greater than in the control side. The peak of the reduction was reached at 7 days post-surgery. The abundant water resources, rainy climate and dense water network had deeply influenced the formation and development of traditional villages in the southern Hunan region of China. This paper was adopted buffer zone analysis, categorical statistical analysis, vectorization analysis and data literature analysis, studied the shaping of traditional village site selection, plane form and internal spatial structure by water systems in southern Hunan, China, and the mechanism of their effects. The results showed that: 1) The shaping ability and mechanism of the traditional village water system in Xiangnan area on spatial morphology was mainly based on the function of the water system. 2) The layout and spatial morphology of traditional villages were deeply affected by the width, area and form of water systems in Xiangnan area. 3) Traditional villages gave more consideration to water systems with large watershed areas in site selection. 4) Water systems with small watershed areas generally had a greater impact on the internal structure of traditional villages.

In order to understand the point defect structure in NiAl Intermetallic compound, the positron lifetime in binary Ni_(100-x)Al_x (53≥x≥45) and ternary B2 Ni_(50-x)Co_xAl_(50) (x=0, 5, 10, 15) intermetallic compounds as a function of composition were measured. It is shown that the positron lifetime spectra of these compounds can be consistently expressed by single-component lifetimes. The positron lifetime value in ternary Ni_(50-x)Co_xAl_(50) alloy is independent of Co content and equal to that detected in both stoichiometric and Al-rich NiAl. From an analysis of the present results, it is suggested that the constant lifetime ofт≈180 ps should be ascribed to saturation trapping and annihilation of positron exclusively at Ni vacancy, no evidence for the presence of Al vacancy is available.
