In this paper,we address matrix-valued distributed stochastic optimization with inequality and equality constraints,where the objective function is a sum of multiple matrix-valued functions with stochastic variables and the considered problems are solved in a distributed manner.A penalty method is derived to deal with the constraints,and a selection principle is proposed for choosing feasible penalty functions and penalty gains.A distributed optimization algorithm based on the gossip model is developed for solving the stochastic optimization problem,and its convergence to the optimal solution is analyzed *** numerical examples are given to demonstrate the viability of the main results.

The interplay between the host circadian clock and microbiota has significant influences on host metabolism processes,and circadian desynchrony triggered by high-fat diet(HFD)is closely related to metabolic *** this study,the modulatory effects of piperine(PIP)on lipid metabolism homeostasis,gut microbiota community and circadian rhythm of hepatic clock gene expressions in obese rats were *** Sprague-Dawley(SD)rats were fed with normal diet(ND),HFD and HFD supplemented with PIP,*** 9 weeks,rats were sacrificed with tissue and fecal samples collected for circadian *** showed that chronic PIP administration ameliorated the obesity-induced alterations in lipid metabolism and dysregulation of hepatic clock gene expressions in obese *** gut microbial communities studied through 16S rRNA sequencing showed that PIP ameliorated the imbalanced nicrobiota and recovered the circadian rhythm of Lactobacillaceae,Desulfovibrionaceae,Paraprevotellaceae,and *** fecal metabolic profiles indicated that 3-dehydroshikimate,cytidine and lithocholyltaurine were altered,which were involved in the amino acid and fatty acid metabolism *** findings could provide theoretical basis for PIP to work as functional food to alleviate the lipid metabolism disorder,circadian rhythm misalignment,and gut microbiota dysbiosis with wide applications in the food and pharmaceutic industries.

Research on delayed neural networks with variable self-inhibitions, interconnection weights, and inputs is an important issue. In this paper, we discuss a large class of delayed dynamical systems with almost periodic self-inhibitions, inter-connection weights, and inputs. This model is universal and includes delayed systems with timevarying delays, distributed delays as well as combination of both. We prove that under some mild conditions, the system has a unique almost periodic solution, which is globally exponentially stable. We propose a new approach, which is independent of existing theory concerning with existence of almost periodic solution for dynamical systems.

Estimating the global state of a networked system is an important problem in many application *** classical approach to tackling this problem is the periodic(observation)method,which is inefficient because it often observes states at a very high *** inefficiency has motivated the idea of event-based method,which leverages the evolution dynamics in question and makes observations only when some rules are triggered(i.e.,only when certain conditions hold).This paper initiates the investigation of using the event-based method to estimate the equilibrium in the new application domain of cybersecurity,where equilibrium is an important metric that has no closed-form *** specifically,the paper presents an event-based method for estimating cybersecurity equilibrium in the preventive and reactive cyber defense dynamics,which has been proven globally *** presented study proves that the estimated equilibrium from our trigger rule i)indeed converges to the equilibrium of the dynamics and ii)is Zeno-free,which assures the usefulness of the event-based *** examples show that the event-based method can reduce 98%of the observation cost incurred by the periodic *** order to use the event-based method in practice,this paper investigates how to bridge the gap between i)the continuous state in the dynamics model,which is dubbed probability-state because it measures the probability that a node is in the secure or compromised state,and ii)the discrete state that is often encountered in practice,dubbed sample-state because it is sampled from some *** bridge may be of independent value because probability-state models have been widely used to approximate exponentially-many discrete state systems.

Classification and rating of disintegrated dolomite strata for slope stability analysis

Although disintegrated dolomite,widely distributed across the globe,has conventionally been a focus of research in underground engineering,the issue of slope stability issues in disintegrated dolomite strata is gaining increasing *** is primarily due to their unique properties,including low strength and loose *** methods for evaluating slope stability,such as basic quality(BQ)and slope stability probability classification(SSPC),do not adequately account for the poor integrity and structural fragmentation characteristic of disintegrated *** address this challenge,an analysis of the applicability of the limit equilibrium method(LEM),BQ,and SSPC methods was conducted on eight disintegrated dolomite slopes located in Baoshan,Southwest ***,conflicting results were ***,this paper introduces a novel method,SMRDDS,to provide rapid and accurate assessment of disintegrated dolomite slope *** method incorporates parameters such as disintegrated grade,joint state,groundwater conditions,and excavation *** findings reveal that six slopes exhibit stability,while two are considered partially ***,the proposed method demonstrates a closer match with the actual conditions and is more time-efficient compared with the BQ and SSPC ***,due to the limited research on disintegrated dolomite slopes,the results of the SMRDDS method tend to be conservative as a safety *** conclusion,the SMRDDS method can quickly evaluate the current situation of disintegrated dolomite slopes in the *** contributes significantly to disaster risk reduction for disintegrated dolomite slopes.

The aim of this paper is to provide a sys- tematic review on the framework to analyze dynamics in recurrently connected neural networks with discontinu- ous right-hand sides with a focus on the authors＇ works in the past three years. The concept of the Filippov so- lution is employed to define the solution of the neural network systems by transforming them to differential in- clusions. The theory of viability provides a tool to study the existence and uniqueness of the solution and the Lya- punov function （functional） approach is used to investi- gate the global stability and synchronization. More pre- cisely, we prove that the diagonal-dominant conditions guarantee the existence, uniqueness, and stability of a general class of integro-differential equations with （al- most） periodic self-inhibitions, interconnection weights, inputs, and delays. This model is rather general and in- cludes the well-known Hopfield neural networks, Cohen- Grossberg neural networks, and cellular neural networks as special cases. We extend the absolute stability anal- ysis of gradient-like neural network model by relaxing the analytic constraints so that they can be employed to solve optimization problem with non-smooth cost func- tions. Furthermore, we study the global synchronization problem of a class of linearly coupled neural network with discontinuous right-hand sides.

Stability analysis plays a central role in nonlinear dynamical systems, attached more and more importance due to its applications in real world control systems. In this paper, the contraction of the Filippov solutions of a class of switched dynamical systems is studied. By the uniform contraction of a sequence of continuous dynamical systems which approximate the switched Filippov systems in terms of the evolution map graphs, we derive sufficient conditions to guarantee that the solutions of switched Filippov systems exponentially converge to each other, namely incrementally stable. Several examples are presented and more applications of the derived theoretical results are explored afterwards.
