The anisotropy of suprathermal electrons in the Martian ionosphere

Suprathermal electrons are an important population of the Martian ionosphere, either produced by photoionization of atmospheric neutrals or supplied from the Solar Wind (SW). This study is dedicated to an in-depth investigation of the pitch angle distribution of suprathermal electrons at two representative energies, 19−55 eV and 124−356 eV, using the extensive measurements made by the Solar Wind Electron Analyzer on board the Mars Atmosphere and Volatile Evolution. Throughout the study, we focus on the overall degree of anisotropy, defined as the standard deviation of suprathermal electron intensity among different directions which is normalized by the mean omni-directional intensity. The available data reveal the following characteristics: (1) In general, low energy electrons are more isotropic than high energy electrons, and dayside electrons are more isotropic than nightside electrons;(2) On the dayside, the anisotropy increases with increasing altitude at low energies but remains roughly constant at high energies, whereas on the nightside, the anisotropy decreases with increasing altitude at all energies;(3) Electrons tend to be more isotropic in strongly magnetized regions than in weakly magnetized regions, especially on the nightside. These observations indicate that the anisotropy is a useful diagnostic of suprathermal electron transport, for which the conversion between the parallel and perpendicular momenta as required by the conservation of the first adiabatic invariant, along with the atmospheric absorption at low altitudes, are two crucial factors modulating the observed variation of the anisotropy. Our analysis also highlights the different roles on the observed anisotropy exerted by suprathermal electrons of different origins.

A considerable efficiency gap exists between large-area perovskite solar modules and small-area perovskite solar cells.The control of forming uniform and large-area film and perovskite crystallization is still the main obstacle restricting the efficiency of PSMs.In this work,we adopted a solid-liquid two-step film formation technique,which involved the evaporation of a lead iodide film and blade coating of an organic ammonium halide solution to prepare perovskite films.This method possesses the advantages of integrating vapor deposition and solution methods,which could apply to substrates with different roughness and avoid using toxic solvents to achieve a more uniform,large-area perovskite film.Furthermore,modification of the NiO_(x)/perovskite buried interface and introduction of Urea additives were utilized to reduce interface recombination and regulate perovskite crystallization.As a result,a large-area perovskite film possessing larger grains,fewer pinholes,and reduced defects could be achieved.The inverted PSM with an active area of 61.56 cm^(2)(10×10 cm^(2)substrate)achieved a champion power conversion efficiency of 20.56%and significantly improved stability.This method suggests an innovative approach to resolving the uniformity issue associated with large-area film fabrication.

Currently,applications accessing remote computing resources through cloud data centers is the main mode of operation,but this mode of operation greatly increases communication latency and reduces overall quality of service(QoS)and quality of experience(QoE).Edge computing technology extends cloud service functionality to the edge of the mobile network,closer to the task execution end,and can effectivelymitigate the communication latency problem.However,the massive and heterogeneous nature of servers in edge computing systems brings new challenges to task scheduling and resource management,and the booming development of artificial neural networks provides us withmore powerfulmethods to alleviate this limitation.Therefore,in this paper,we proposed a time series forecasting model incorporating Conv1D,LSTM and GRU for edge computing device resource scheduling,trained and tested the forecasting model using a small self-built dataset,and achieved competitive experimental results.

Evolution and control of inclusions of Ti-bearing ultra-low carbon steel during the steelmaking process

This article investigates the evolution and control of inclusions in the smelting process of titanium containing ultra-low carbon steel. Through industrial experiments, the influence of oxygen content before aluminum addition on inclusions in ultra-low carbon IF steel was explored, and the evolution process of inclusions was studied. The microstructure of different types of inclusions was observed using three-dimensional analysis techniques.Research has found that the oxygen content before aluminum addition has no significant effect on the final oxygen content. However, under low aluminum and low oxygen conditions, the size of inclusions formed is small and difficult to float and remove. Even if the cycle time is extended, the AF index of inclusions remains at a high level. Through three-dimensional morphology analysis of inclusions, it was found that alumina formed under high aluminum and high oxygen conditions is very dense, while inclusions are relatively loose under low aluminum and low oxygen conditions. In addition, through the analysis of aluminum oxygen supersaturation before the formation of aluminum oxide inclusions, it was found that due to the low oxygen content, the nucleation rate of aluminum oxide in the early stage of inclusion formation is relatively low, and the inclusions grow along the trajectory of oxygen, ultimately forming polycrystalline aluminum oxide inclusions. This article also observed for the first time the initial three-dimensional morphology of Al Ti inclusions, providing a theoretical basis for further optimizing smelting processes and controlling inclusions.

Audio2AB:Audio-driven collaborative generation of virtual character animation

Background Considerable research has been conducted in the areas of audio-driven virtual character gestures and facial animation with some degree of success.However,few methods exist for generating full-body animations,and the portability of virtual character gestures and facial animations has not received sufficient attention.Methods Therefore,we propose a deep-learning-based audio-to-animation-and-blendshape(Audio2AB)network that generates gesture animations and ARK it's 52 facial expression parameter blendshape weights based on audio,audio-corresponding text,emotion labels,and semantic relevance labels to generate parametric data for full-body animations.This parameterization method can be used to drive full-body animations of virtual characters and improve their portability.In the experiment,we first downsampled the gesture and facial data to achieve the same temporal resolution for the input,output,and facial data.The Audio2AB network then encoded the audio,audio-corresponding text,emotion labels,and semantic relevance labels,and then fused the text,emotion labels,and semantic relevance labels into the audio to obtain better audio features.Finally,we established links between the body,gestures,and facial decoders and generated the corresponding animation sequences through our proposed GAN-GF loss function.Results By using audio,audio-corresponding text,and emotional and semantic relevance labels as input,the trained Audio2AB network could generate gesture animation data containing blendshape weights.Therefore,different 3D virtual character animations could be created through parameterization.Conclusions The experimental results showed that the proposed method could generate significant gestures and facial animations.

Fine structure and facet analyses of tunnel-structured FeOOH nanocrystals

The development of energy storage systems in the future relies on identifying suitable target materials and synthesizing target materials with controllable physicochemical properties to unlock their electrochemical contributions. Based on the structure-property-performance relationship established in materials science, it is crucial to determine the fine structure of key functional materials. Among these materials, tunnel-structured β-FeOOH is widely studied due to its low-cost, decent performance and environmental friendliness; yet, its fine structure in terms of the atomic framework and surface configuration has not been well understood. In this work, we successfully synthesized β-FeOOH nanorods and analyzed their crystallographic features via transmission electron microscopy(TEM). By combining ultramicrotome and aberration-corrected scanning TEM with atomic resolution,we first experimentally revealed the structural details of β-FeOOH featuring 1 × 1 tunnels and 2 × 2 tunnels along the c-axis([001]), the same as the nanorod growth direction. The dominant exposed facets of β-FeOOH nanorods were further revealed to be {010}. Such fine structural elucidation unveils the long-existing mystery in this material system, which is expected to contribute to structural/compositional engineering toward functionality optimization in the near future.

Revealing the specific role of sulfide and nano-alumina in composite solid-state electrolytes for performance-reinforced ether-nitrile copolymers

Composite solid-state electrolytes represent a critical pathway that balances the interface compatibility and lithium-ion conductivity in all-solid-state batteries.The quest for stable and highly ion-conductive combinations between polymers and fillers is vital,but blind attempts are often made due to a lack of understanding of the mechanisms involved in the interaction between polymers and fillers.Herein,we employ in-situ polymerization to prepare a polymer based on an ether-nitrile copolymer with high cathode stability as the foundation and discuss the performance enhancement mechanisms of argyrodite and nano-alumina.With 1%content of sulfide interacting with the polymer at the two-phase interface,the local enhancement of lithium-ion migration capability can be achieved,avoiding the reduction in capacity due to the low ion conductivity of the passivation layer during cycling.The capacity retention after 50cycles at 0.5 C increases from 83.5%to 94.4%.Nano-alumina,through anchoring the anions and interface inhibition functions,eventually poses an initial discharge capacity of 136.8 m A h g^(-1)at 0.5 C and extends the cycling time to 1000 h without short-circuiting in lithium metal batteries.Through the combined action of dual fillers on the composite solid-state electrolyte,promising insights are provided for future material design.

Analysis Hierarchy Process Model for Plain River Reach Health Assessment of the Luanhe River

In light of the ecological health problem occurring between the plain river reach between Daheiting and the estuary of the Luanhe River, three first-level indicators （river physical characteristic, eco-hydrological characteristic and socio-economic features） and corresponding fifteen second-level indicators such as river natural connectivity, water quantity, etc., were employed to establish the analysis hierarchy process （AHP） model. After fitting the AHP model with the data of 2005, the results show that the overall plain river reach health assessment score is 0.698 and the ecology is basically healthy. Moreover, construction of the Panjiakou Reservoir on the river mainstream destroyed the river natural morphologies, and finally contributed to the relatively low scores： 0 and 0.5 for river natural connectivity and river curve degree, respectively. It implicates that measures such as construction of ecological river course and reservoir dispatching should be taken into account in further restoration projects of the Luanhe River.

A First-principles Study on the Adhesion Strength,Interfacial Stability,and Electronic Properties of Mg/Mg_(2)Y Interface

The interfacial microstructures and configurations directly affect the comprehensive properties of the composites,but their interfacial adhesion mechanism is complicated to expound by experimental methods.In this work,based on the stacking sequence of the Mg/Mg_(2)Y interface models,nine different Mg/Mg_(2)Y interface configurations with top site,bridge site,and hollow site(HCP)under Mg1,Mg_(2),and Y terminations were successfully constructed and systematically explored by first-principles calculations.The results showed that the Mg_(2)Y(0001)surface with Y termination is the most stable when the yttrium chemical potential()is less than-1.09 eV;otherwise,Mg_(2)Y(0001)surface with Mg1 termination is the most stable.The seven-layer Mg(0001)and eleven-layer Mg_(2)Y(0001)slabs are employed to reflect the bulk-like interior properties.Additionally,the Mg(0001)/Mg_(2)Y(0001)with the Y-HCP stacking has the largest interface thermodynamic stability with the value of 2.383 J/m^(2) in all interface configurations owing to its largest work of adhesion.In addition,the interfacial energy of Y-HCP stacking is significantly smaller than those of Mg1-HCP when is approximately less than-0.55 eV,showing that it is more stable.The thermodynamic stability of Mg/Mg_(2)Y with Y-HCP is due to Mg-Y chemical bonds formed between Mg and Y atoms.Lastly,the Mg/Mg_(2)Y interfaces are strong interfaces based on the Griffith fracture theory.

构建政府和企业间有效的合作激励机制成为保证泥沙资源利用效率和实现泥沙资源市场化、产业化发展的重要途径。目前关于泥沙资源化中政府的激励机制研究非常有限,且未建立与约束企业投机行为相关的监督机制。本文基于委托代理理论,对不对称信息下泥沙资源化的政府激励与监督机制设计进行研究。首先构建了泥沙资源化的激励机制设计模型,然后考虑引入监督机制对激励契约进行改进,分别得到单一激励机制以及激励与监督相结合机制下的政府固定补贴、激励系数、企业最优努力水平和政企期望效用,对比分析了监督努力水平等相关参数对政企最优决策的影响。最后,结合算例对模型进行分析验证。结果表明,引入监督机制可以提高企业泥沙资源利用的努力水平以及政府对企业道德风险的防范。而政府的激励机制与监督机制具有一定替代关系,通过比较监督成本与监督收益的变化,设计的最优契约结构可使政府的激励与监督机制发挥最大效益。
