Preparation of mesoporous MgO-templated carbons from phenolic resin and their applications for electric double-layer capacitors

Mesoporous carbons were synthesized using thermoplastic phenolic resin(PF) as carbonaceous precursor and magnesium citrate as template *** structure was determined as ink-bottle-like geometry through TEM,N2 adsorption analysis combined with TG *** porous carbons prepared were then applied as electrode material for electric double-layer *** capacitor performance was examined in 30 wt% KOH aqueous solution by cyclic voltammetry and galvanostatic charge/discharge *** carbon prepared with MgO/PF mass ratio of 8/2 had a BET surface area of 1920 m2 g-1 and exhibited a capacitance of 220 F g-1 at a current density of 50 mA ***,the carbon with the ratio of 4/6 had the optimize proportion of mesopores,which ensures its good rate performance that up to 98.3%,expressed as the ratio of the capacitance measured at 1000 mA g-1 against that at 50 mA g-1.

背景:肌电生物反馈技术具有非侵入性、实时反馈、个性化治疗和促进神经可塑性等独特优势,加速了脊髓损伤患者的功能恢复。目的:综述肌电生物反馈联合运动疗法、外骨骼机器人以及虚拟现实技术在脊髓损伤运动功能恢复中的应用现状及治疗效果。方法:应用计算机检索中国知网、PubMed数据库建库至2024年5月期间的相关文献,英文检索词为“Spinal cord injury,EMG biofeedback,physical therapy,robotic exoskeleton,VR,motor function,exercise”,中文检索词为“脊髓损伤,肌电生物反馈,运动疗法,外骨骼机器人,虚拟现实,运动功能,运动”,最终纳入71篇文献进行综述。结果与结论:肌电生物反馈疗法促进脊髓损伤康复的机制包括促进神经可塑性变化、增强神经肌肉连接和改善运动模式。肌电生物反馈作为新兴的技术手段,通常与运动疗法、外骨骼机器人以及虚拟现实联合用于脊髓损伤后运动功能的恢复,综合治疗效果得到明显提升。然而目前仍存在一些问题和挑战,例如缺乏机制的详细解析、缺少为结合疗效提供有力证据的大规模试验、技术适应性有限等。未来的研究可以集中在这些方面:提高肌电生物反馈的个性化和精准性;可以探索将肌电生物反馈与更先进的技术或工学设备相结合开发新型康复设备,扩大应用领域;将肌电生物反馈应用到步态训练系统、呼吸训练系统以及四肢联动康复系统中,提高反馈的准确性和个性化治疗方案的效果,同时提高设备的易用性和舒适性。

Soil splash erosion:An overlooked issue for sustainable rubber plantation in the tropical region of China

Soil erosion by water is known to be a major driver of land *** erosion is the initial stage of water erosion and directly contributes to the detachment of soil particles on sloping *** erosion may be exacerbated or mitigated by ongoing land use/cover *** estimate the effects of various land use and management systems on splash erosion in the humid tropics,we measured the actual splash erosion under natural rainfall conditions in a tropical rainforest(TR),rubber monoculture(RM),and four rubber agroforestry ecosystems in Xishuangbanna,Southwestern *** average cumulative splash mass in the RM was 48.7 times higher compared to that in the TR,indicating that the replacement of TR by RM results in severe splash *** the rubber agroforestry systems,the throughfall kinetic energy and splash mass were 34-76%and 86-97%lower,respectively,than that in the RM,indicating that intercropping crops with rubber trees can effectively alleviate erosive power of throughfall and thus splash *** all land use regimes,in the plots where the litter layer was removed,splash erosion was significantly(2.0-12.1 times)higher and more spatially heterogeneous than in those with litter *** highlighted the key role of the forest litter layer in protecting the soil from raindrop *** the study area,the actual splash erosion was strongly correlated with the conditions of precipitation(amount and intensity(I10)of rainfall)and the vegetation structure(especially the crown base height,leaf area index,and canopy cover),but weakly correlated with the soil *** the importance of near-ground intercrops(height<5 m)for improving the vegetation structure,surface cover,and soil conditions,the intercropping of Camellia sinensis and Theobroma cacao with rubber trees is a promising approach for controlling splash erosion and also has benefits on the sus-tainable development of rubber plantation.

The edge-graphitized carbon nitride(C_(3)N_(4)-C g)was prepared by secondary pyrolysis to construct ZnO/C_(3)N_(4)-C g(ZCN)type-Ⅱheterojunction photocatalyst via a facile sonication dispersion method,which achieved∼7.04-fold and∼18.3-fold enhanced visible-light-driven photocatalytic performance for refrac-tory micropollutant removal and simultaneous hydrogen(H_(2))evolution respectively compared to con-ventional ZnO/g-C_(3)N_(4)Step-scheme *** apparent quantum efficiency of the ZCN_(0.4)het-erojunction reaches 0.92%(λ=420 nm).Such excellent performance stems from that the edge-graphene moieties stitched onto the interface of heterojunction extend light absorption to the full visible spec-trum,meanwhile,the built-in electric field generated during Fermi level alignment accompanying fa-vorable band-bending structure provides an effective pathway for the rapid migration of photoinduced electrons via the edge graphene channel to improve interfacial charge separation ***,the midgap states introduced in ZCN heterojunction could temporarily retain photoexcited electrons to effectively inhibit the in situ carrier recombination for improved photocatalytic H_(2)***,ZCN/peroxymonosulfate system exhibited excellent anti-interference performance against complex water bodies under visible illumination due to the synergistic effect between the co-existing anions and organic ***,the eco-friendly nature of the ZCN/peroxymonosulfate system showed no biotoxicity of reaction filtrate on cell proliferation after treatment,which avoided secondary ***-ering the outstanding performance in photocatalysis,the ZCN system exhibits broad potential for practical applications in water pollution control and green energy production.

Practical applications of diverse flexible wearable electronics require electrochemical energy storage(EES)devices with multiple ***,to fabricate flexible EES devices with high energy density and stability,organic integration from electrode design to device assembly is *** address these challenges,a free-standing reduced graphene oxide(rGO)/carbon film with a unique sandwich structure has been designed via the assistance of vacuum-assistant filtration for lithium-ion capacitors(LICs).The graphene acts as not only a binder to construct a three-dimensional conductive network but also an active material to provide additional capacitive lithium storage sites,thus enabling fast ion/electron transport and improving the *** designed rGO/hard carbon(rGO/HC)and rGO/activated carbon(rGO/AC)free-standing films exhibit enhanced specific capacities(513.7 mA h g^(-1)for rGO/HC and 102.8 mA h g^(-1)for rGO/AC)and excellent ***,the integrated flexible quasi-solid-state rGO/AC//rGO/HC LIC devices possess a maximum energy density of 138.3 Wh kg^(-1),a high power density of 11 kW kg^(-1),and improved cycling performance(84.4%capacitance maintained after 10,000 cycles),superior to the AC//HC LIC(43.5%retention).Such a strategy enlightens the development of portable flexible LICs.

Herein,we prepare the unique hierarchical polypyrrole@cobalt sulfide(PPy-hs@CoS)hollow sphere-based nanofilms as interdigitated electrodes for flexible on-chip micro-supercapacitors(MSC).Benefiting from the excellent flexibility and high electrical conductivity of PPy-hs combined with the great electrochemical activity of CoS,such PPy-hs@CoS composite material can not only inhibit the volume expansion of PPy but also promote the diffusion of the electrolyte *** PPy-hs@CoS filmbased electrode delivers a greatly improved specific capacitance and small *** functional theory calculations infer that OH−prefers to bind to PPy on CoS@PPy and confirms the synergistic effect of each component for enhanced reaction kinetics.A quasi-solid-state on-chip flexible asymmetric MSC based on PPy-hs@CoS and activated carbon(AC)microelectrodes exhibits large areal-specific capacitance(131.9 mF/cm2 at 0.3 mA/cm2),ultrahigh energy density(0.041 mWh/cm2@0.224 mW/cm2 and 25.6 mWh/cm3@140.6 mW/cm3),and long cycle *** demonstrate the possibility to scale up the PPy-hs@CoS nanofilm microelectrode by arranging two of our asymmetric MSC in series and parallel connections,which respectively increase the output voltage and current.A self-charging system by connecting our asymmetric MSCs with a piece of commercial solar cells is developed as a potential possible mode for future highly durable and high-voltage integrated electronics.

Herein,a unique mesoporous heterostructure(average pore size:15 nm)cobalt disulfide/carbon nanofibers(CoS_(2)/PCNFs)composite with excellent hydrophilicity(contact angle:23.5°)is prepared using polyethylene glycol(PEG)as a pore-forming *** CoS_(2)/PCNF electrode exhibits excellent cycle stability(95.2%of initial specific capacitance at 10 A·g^(-1)after 8000 cycles),good rate performance(46.5%at 10 A·g^(-1)),and high specific capacity(86.1 mAh·g^(-1)at 1 A·g^(-1),about 688.8 F·g^(-1)at 1 A·g^(-1)).Density functional theory(DFT)simulation elucidates that CoS_(2)tends to transfer substantial charges to *** the center of positive charge,CoS_(2)is more likely to capture negative ions in the electrolyte,thus accelerating the ion diffusion *** excellent properties of the electrode material can not only accelerate the electrochemical reaction kinetics,but also provide abundant redox-active sites and a high Faradaic capacity for the entire electrode due to the synergistic contributions of CoS_(2)nanoparticles,mesoporous heterostructure of PCNF,and admirable hydrophilicity of the composite material.A CoS_(2)/PCNF-0.25//AC(AC:activated carbon)asymmetric supercapacitor is assembled using CoS_(2)/PCNF-0.25 as the positive electrode and AC as the negative electrode,which possesses a high energy density(35.5 Wh·kg^(-1)at a power density of 824 W·kg^(-1))and superior cycling stability(maintaining over 98%of initial capacitance after 2000 cycles).In addition,the unique CoS_(2)/PCNF electrode is expected to be widely used in other electrochemical energy storage devices,such as lithium-ion batteries,sodium-ion batteries,lithium-sulfur batteries,etc.

Solar-driven water evaporation is a sustainable method to purify ***,traditional volumetric water-evaporation systems suffer from the poor sunlight absorption and inefficient light-to-thermal ***,their anti-bacterial and antifouling performances are crucial for the practical ***,we introduce reduced graphene oxide(RGO)with broadband absorbance across the entire solar spectrum,and polypyrrole(PPy),an antibacterial polymer with efficient solar absorption and low thermal conductivity,to develop integrated RGO/PPy aerogel as both the solar absorber and evaporator for highly efficient solar-driven steam *** a result,the RGO/PPy aerogel shows strong absorption and good photothermal performance,leading to an evaporation rate of 1.44 kg·m^(−2)·h^(−1)and high salt rejection(up to 99.99%)for real seawater,with photothermal conversion efficiency>90%under one sun *** result is attributed to the localized heat at the air-water interface by the RGO/PPy and its porous nature with functional groups that facilitates the water ***,the RGO/PPy demonstrates excellent durability and antibacterial efficiency close to 100%for 12 h,crucial characteristics for longterm *** well-designed RGO/PPy aerogel with efficient water desalination performance and antibacterial property provides a straightforward approach to improve the solar-driven evaporation performance by multifunctional materials integration,and offers a viable route towards practical seawater desalination.
