A new photovoltaic-thermochemical(PVTC) conceptual system integrating photon-enhanced thermionic emission(PETE) and methane steam reforming is proposed. Major novelty of the system lies in its potential adaptivity to primary fuels(e.g. methane) and high efficiencies of photovoltaic and thermochemical power generation, both of which result from its operation at much elevated temperatures(700–1000 °C)compared with conventional photovoltaic-thermal(PVT) systems. Analysis shows that an overall power generation efficiency of 45.3% and a net solar-to-electric efficiency of 39.1% could be reached at an operating temperature of 750 °C, after considering major losses during solar energy capture and conversion processes. The system is also featured by high solar share(37%) in the total power output, as well as high energy storage capability and very low CO_2 emissions, both enabled by the integration of methane reforming with photovoltaic generation at high temperatures.

In recent years,we have witnessed a surge in mobile devices such as smartphones,tablets,smart watches,etc.,most of which are based on the Android operating ***,because these Android-based mobile devices are becoming increasingly popular,they are now the primary target of mobile malware,which could lead to both privacy leakage and property *** address the rapidly deteriorating security issues caused by mobile malware,various research efforts have been made to develop novel and effective detection mechanisms to identify and combat ***,in order to avoid being caught by these malware detection mechanisms,malware authors are inclined to initiate adversarial example attacks by tampering with mobile *** this paper,several types of adversarial example attacks are investigated and a feasible approach is proposed to fight against ***,we look at adversarial example attacks on the Android system and prior solutions that have been proposed to address these ***,we specifically focus on the data poisoning attack and evasion attack models,which may mutate various application features,such as API calls,permissions and the class label,to produce adversarial ***,we propose and design a malware detection approach that is resistant to adversarial *** observe and investigate how the malware detection system is influenced by the adversarial example attacks,we conduct experiments on some real Android application datasets which are composed of both malware and benign *** results clearly indicate that the performance of Android malware detection is severely degraded when facing adversarial example attacks.

Ground source heat pumps (GSHPs) are one of the renewable energy technologies with features of high efficiency, energy saving, economic feasibility and environmental protection. In China, GSHPs have been widely used for building heating and cooling in recent years, and have shown great potential for future energy development. This paper summarizes the classification, development history, and use status of shallow GSHPs. Several typical engineering cases of GSHP technology are also specified and analyzed. Finally, promising development trends and some advanced technologies are illustrated.

Spatial distribution of charcoal in topsoil and its potential determinants on the Tibetan Plateau

As an important proxy for investigating past fire activities,charcoal is often used to explore the characteristics of fire distribution and its relationships with vegetation,climate,and human *** into the spatial distribution and environmental determinants for charcoal,however,is still *** this study,we identified and counted charcoal from topsoil samples covering the Tibetan Plateau using the pollen methodology,and investigated its relationships with vegetation net primary production(NPP),elevation,climate(precipitation,mean temperature of the coldest month and warmest month)and human population by boosted regression trees(BRT).Results reveal that the concentration of microscopic charcoal,macroscopic charcoal,and total charcoal all increase from south-west to north-east,which is consistent with the trend that the population density on the Tibetan Plateau is high in the east and low in the west,suggesting that an increase in human activity is likely to promote the occurrence of *** BRT modeling reveals that NPP,elevation,and mean temperature of the coldest month are important factors for total charcoal concentration on the Tibetan Plateau,and the frequency and intensity of fires further increase with increasing vegetation biomass,decreasing elevation,and decreasing mean temperature of the coldest *** spatial variation characteristics of charcoal from topsoil on the Tibetan Plateau not only reflect well the spatial fire situation in the region,but also have a good indicative significance for vegetation,climate,and human activities.

The Pacific saury Cololabis saira is a commercially important pelagic species with wide distribution in the North Pacific Ocean. Previous studies identified two geographical groups by comparing the radius of otolith annual rings(ROA) of the fish collected during the pre-fishing season. Moreover, understanding the group composition in the mixed catch from the fishing ground is essential for sustainable exploitation of this species. Using samples collected during the fishing season(July–November) from 2016 to 2018, the potential of applying otolith shape analysis as a tool to identify these two mixed groups was tested in this research. Two otolith morphotypes that belong to the eastern group and western group were identified by K-means cluster analysis using Fourier coefficients and ROA. The high classification success of random forest further confirmed the effectiveness of otolith shape analysis. The western group accounted for the majority of catch in July and August at 160?E. With the passing of sampling time and fishing fleets moving westward, the proportion of eastern group gradually increased and finally reached more than 60% of the whole catch in November at 150°E. This result suggests that the eastern and western groups are well mixed during spawning migration. In addition, the temporal and spatial dynamics of their catch composition provide information for their migration route. This study is helpful for improving fisheries management and understanding the short-term stock fluctuation of Pacific saury.

The inability of Fenneropenaeus chinensis to tolerate low temperatures is of major economic concern in temperate climates,as it reduces their growing season and leads to over-winter *** this study,the heritability of body weight under low grow-out temperature and cold tolerance in *** were first investigated and estimated using 88 ful-sib families,which might provide crucial information in Chinese fleshy prawn breeding *** heritability for body weight under suitable and low temperature of *** were both moderate（0.158 0±0.307 5 and 0.132 0±0.026 9 respectively）;the large coefficient of variation（approximately 21%） and moderate estimate of heritability for body weight indicated substantial potential for selective *** heritability estimate for cold tolerance was low（0.019 2±0.023 5）,and showed no significant differences from zero（P〉0.05）.A weak genetic correlation between cold tolerance and body weight was also estimated in the present study,also showing no significant differences from zero（P〉0.05）.Thus,more research needs to be conducted on the more accurate heritability estimate of cold tolerance and genetic correlations between traits in *** to further improve the achievement of breeding goals.

Cordyceps sinensis(***)is a widely used and highly valuable traditional Chinese *** dipeptides have been detected in ***,but current scientific knowledge of its chemical makeup remains *** this study,an improved approach that integrates offline two-dimensional liquid chromatography(2D LC)separation,precursor ion list,library screening,and diagnostic ion filtering was established to systematically screen and characterize dipeptides in *** 2D LC integrating hydrophilic interaction LC and reverse phase separations was established to eliminate interference and identify the target dipeptides.A library containing the potential 400 dipeptides was created,and a precursor ion list with all theoretical precursor ions was adopted to trigger the MS/MS scan with high *** identify dipeptides,the type and connection sequence of amino acids were determined according to the product *** and Leu residues were differentiated for the first time according to the characteristic ion at m/z ***,170 dipeptides were identified or tentatively characterized from ***,and most are reported for the first time in this species *** addition,the identified dipeptides were also applied for discrimination among the three Cordyceps species,and 11 markers were *** obtained results provide a deeper understanding of the chemical basis of ***.

Pnpt1 mediates NLRP3 inflammasome activation by MAVS and metabolic reprogramming in macrophages

Polyribonucleotide nucleotidyltransferase 1(Pnpt1)plays critical roles in mitochondrial homeostasis by controlling mitochondrial RNA(mt-RNA)processing,trafficking and ***1 deficiency results in mitochondrial dysfunction that triggers a type I interferon response,suggesting a role in ***,the role of Pnpt1 in inflammasome activation remains largely *** this study,we generated myeloid-specific Pnpt1-knockout mice and demonstrated that Pnpt1 depletion enhanced interleukin-1 beta(IL-1β)and interleukin-18(IL-18)secretion in a mouse sepsis *** cultured peritoneal and bone marrow-derived macrophages,we demonstrated that Pnpt1 regulated NLRP3 inflammasome-dependent IL-1βrelease in response to lipopolysaccharide(LPS),followed by nigericin,ATP or poly(I:C)***1 deficiency in macrophages increased glycolysis after LPS administration and mt-reactive oxygen species(mt-ROS)after NLRP3 inflammasome ***1 activation of the inflammasome was dependent on increased glycolysis and the expression of mitochondrial antiviral-signaling protein(MAVS)but not NF-κB ***,these data suggest that Pnpt1 is an important mediator of inflammation,as shown by activation of the NLRP3 inflammasome in murine sepsis and cultured macrophages.
