Aquaculture industry contributes significant aquaculture species production to meet fish protein demand from the *** industry is gearing towards intensification to increase more production in the near *** technologies and efforts were introduced into aquaculture industry to bring it up to the next higher ***,the development of aquaculture industry is hindered by disease *** a result,excessive use of antibiotics and chemicals were applied to reduce or minimize risk of disease outbreak in aquaculture farming ***,aquacultures products and environment were highly exposed to these antibiotics and *** resolve this issue,fish farmers were encouraged to utilize alternative method in aquaculture species health *** has become a new approach in aquaculture industry to maintain aquaculture species health and a good environment at the same time produce chemical and antibiotic-free aquaculture *** this review paper,we summarize and discuss the effects of prebiotic mixtures administration on growth performance,immune response,disease resistance,and tolerance against abiotic stressors of aquatic animals.

The SARS-CoV-2 Omicron variants are notorious for their transmissibility,but little is known about their subgenomic RNA(sgRNA)*** study applied RNA-seq to delineate the quantitative and qualitative profiles of canonical sgRNA of 118 respiratory samples collected from patients infected with Omicron BA.2 and compared with 338 patients infected with non-variant of concern(non-VOC)-D614G.A unique characteristic profile depicted by the relative abundance of 9 canonical sgRNAs was reproduced by both BA.2 and non-VOCD614G regardless of host gender,age and presence of ***,such profile was lost in samples with low viral load,suggesting a potential application of sgRNA pattern to indicate viral activity of individual patient at a specific time point.A characteristic qualitative profile of canonical sgRNAs was also reproduced by both BA.2 and *** presence of a full set of canonical sgRNAs carried a coherent correlation with crude viral load(AUC¼0.91,95%CI 0.88–0.94),and sgRNA ORF7b was identified to be the best surrogate marker allowing feasible routine application in characterizing the infection status of individual *** potentials in using sgRNA as a target for vaccine and antiviral development are worth pursuing.

Objective: To report the clinical maternal and fetal outcomes of pregnant women with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), along with any associated pregnancy complications, in Hong Kong, China, and to assess the impact of COVID-19 vaccination on these ***: This prospective registry-based observational study included pregnant women who were recruited through convenient sampling and had a laboratory-confirmed severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection with a cycle threshold (Ct) value result available on admission to eight local hospitals in Hong Kong, China. Data on clinical symptoms, laboratory results, medical treatments, delivery timing and mode, and pregnancy complications were extracted from the Hospital Authority’s electronic medical record system. Maternal, fetal, and pregnancy outcomes were compared between unvaccinated pregnant women with COVID-19 and those who had received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine before diagnosis. Nonparametric continuous variables and categorical variables were analyzed using the Mann-WhitneyU test and the Pearson’s chi-squared test respectively. AP value less than 0.05 was considered statistically ***: A total of 164 pregnant women were included, of whom 78 (47.56%) were nulliparous. COVID-19 was diagnosed before 28 weeks’ gestation in 30 (18.29%), while 134 (81.71 %) were diagnosed at or after 28 weeks’ gestation. Sixty-two (37.80%) women received at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. There were no significant differences between vaccinated and unvaccinated groups in the time interval between COVID-19 diagnosis and delivery, the Ct value, and the gestational age at infection onset or delivery (P > 0.05). The majority of women were symptomatic at diagnosis regardless of vaccination status (55 (88.71%) in vaccinated groupvs. 78 (76.47%) in unvaccinated group (P = 0.052). This prospective multicenter phase II study evaluated the clinical efficacy of neoadjuvant nivolumab-exclusive(N)and nivolumab–chemotherapy(N/C)combinations based on PD-L1 *** patients exhibited resectable clinical stage IIA–IIIB(AJCC 8th edition)NSCLC without EGFR/ALK *** received either mono-nivolumab(N)or nivolumab+nabpaclitaxel+carboplatin(N/C)for three cycles based on PD-L1 *** primary endpoint was the major pathological response(MPR).Key secondary endpoints included the pathologic complete response(pCR),objective response rate(ORR),and event-free survival(EFS).Baseline PD-L1 expression and perioperative circulating tumor DNA(ctDNA)status were correlated with pCR and ***-two patients were enrolled,with 46 undergoing *** MPR was 50.0%(26/52),with 25.0%(13/52)achieving pCR,and 16.7%and 66.7%for patients with PD-L1≥50%in N and N/C groups,***(25.0%)patients experienced grade 3 or higher immune-related adverse events during neoadjuvant *** with post-neoadjuvant ctDNA negativity was more likely to have pCR(39.1%)compared with those remained positive(6.7%,odds ratio=6.14,95%CI 0.84-Inf,p=0.077).With a median follow-up of 25.1 months,the 18-month EFS rate was 64.8%(95%CI 51.9–81.0%).For patients with ctDNA–***+,the 18m-EFS rate was 93.8%vs 47.3%(HR,0.15;95%CI 0.04,0.94;p=0.005).Immunochemotherapy may serve as an optimal neoadjuvant treatment even for patients with PD-L1 expression≥50%.ctDNA negativity following neoadjuvant treatment and surgery could help identify superior pathological and survival benefits,which requires further confirmation in a prospective clinical trial(NCT04015778).

Prediction of tunneling-induced ground settlements is an essential task,particularly for tunneling in urban *** settlements should be limited within a tolerable threshold to avoid damages to aboveground *** learning(ML)methods are becoming popular in many fields,including tunneling and underground excavations,as a powerful learning and predicting ***,the available datasets collected from a tunneling project are usually small from the perspective of applying ML *** ML algorithms effectively predict tunneling-induced ground settlements when the available datasets are small?In this study,seven ML methods are utilized to predict tunneling-induced ground settlement using 14 contributing factors measured before or during tunnel *** methods include multiple linear regression(MLR),decision tree(DT),random forest(RF),gradient boosting(GB),support vector regression(SVR),back-propagation neural network(BPNN),and permutation importancebased BPNN(PI-BPNN)*** methods except BPNN and PI-BPNN are shallow-structure ML *** effectiveness of these seven ML approaches on small datasets is evaluated using model accuracy and *** model accuracy is measured by the coefficient of determination(R2)of training and testing datasets,and the stability of a learning algorithm indicates robust predictive ***,the quantile error(QE)criterion is introduced to assess model predictive performance considering underpredictions and *** study reveals that the RF algorithm outperforms all the other models with the highest model prediction accuracy(0.9)and stability(3.0210^(-27)).Deep-structure ML models do not perform well for small datasets with relatively low model accuracy(0.59)and stability(5.76).The PI-BPNN architecture is proposed and designed for small datasets,showing better performance than typical *** important contributing factors of ground settlements are identified,including

傅文笛是加拿大艺术家,从事油画创作长达20多年。同时,她也担任滑铁卢大学瑞纳森学院的校长。文笛的画作曾在中国、德国和加拿大等地展出,并被中国、加拿大、美国、英国及其他欧洲国家的高校、政府机构以及私人收藏。当她还是个年轻姑娘时,艺术和中国一样,就已深深嵌入了文笛的心怀。1987年,还在攻读博士学位时,她首次踏上了华夏大地。深受中国文化和历史之美感染的同时,她也从遇到的中国学者和学生身上感受到千丝万缕的紧密相连的纽带。步入中年时,她重新拾起对艺术的热忱,也接续上了早年与中华大地的联系。
