Cardiovascular disease (CVD) remains the leading cause of disease burden globally,and continued efforts are required in identifying new targets for CVD prevention and treatment (Vaduganathan et al.,2022).Breakthroughs in basic research are urgently needed to fully understand the CVD mechanism and improve clinical treatment modality.

This study explores the application of single photon detection(SPD)technology in underwater wireless optical communication(UWOC)and analyzes the influence of different modulation modes and error correction coding types on communication performance.The study investigates the impact of on-off keying(OOK)and 2-pulse-position modulation(2-PPM)on the bit error rate(BER)in single-channel intensity and polarization multiplexing.Furthermore,it compares the error correction performance of low-density parity check(LDPC)and Reed-Solomon(RS)codes across different error correction coding types.The effects of unscattered photon ratio and depolarization ratio on BER are also verified.Finally,a UWOC system based on SPD is constructed,achieving 14.58 Mbps with polarization OOK multiplexing modulation and 4.37 Mbps with polarization 2-PPM multiplexing modulation using LDPC code error correction.

Sixteen groups of comprehensive tests have been conducted to investigate the modifications in the physical properties of a weak expansive soil due to the addition of a cement jute fiber.The tests have been conducted to analyze the liquid plastic limit,the particle distribution and the free expansion rate.The results show that:(1)With an increase in the cement-jute fiber content,the free expansion rate of the modified expansive soil gradually decreases,however,such a rate rebounds when the fiber content exceeds 0.5%and the cement content exceeds 6%.(2)With an increase in the cement percentage,the particle unevenness coefficient(Cu)and curvature coefficient(Cc)of the modified expansive soil tend to grow gradually.The Cc coefficient reaches 1.0 when the cement content is 6%.The unevenness coefficient of 16 soil samples is greater than 5.0,however,the Cu coefficient decreases when the cement content reaches 6%.(3)The plastic limit of soil increases as the cement content is made higher,while the liquid limit and plastic index decrease gradually.When the content of the modified material is 2%+0.1%~2%+0.7%(Cement content+jute fiber content),the change of particle size distribution is most obvious.(4)When the contents of cement and jute fiber are is 6%and 0.5%,respectively,the modification induced in the physical properties of soil samples corresponds to the best case.

Phase Change Materials(PCMs)have high thermal inertia,and hemp concrete(HC),a bio-based concrete,has strong hygroscopic behavior.In previous studies,PCM has been extensively combined with many materials,however,most of these studies focused on thermal properties while neglecting hygroscopic aspects.In this study,the two materials have been combined into a building envelope and the related hygrothermal properties have been studied.In particular,numerical studies have been performed to investigate the temperature and relative humidity behavior inside the HC,and the effect of adding PCM on the hygrothermal behavior of the HC.The results show that there is a high coupling between temperature and relative humidity inside the HC,since the relative humidity changes on the second and third days are different,with values of 8%and 4%,respectively.Also,the variation of relative humidity with temperature indicates the dominant influence of temperature on relative humidity variation.With the presence of PCM,the temperature variation inside the HC is damped due to the high thermal inertia of the PCM,which also leads to suppression of moisture evaporation and thus damping of relative humidity variation.On the second and third days,the temperature changes at the central position are reduced by 4.6%and 5.1%,compared to the quarter position.For the relative humidity change,the reductions are 5.3%and 5.4%on the second and third days,respectively.Therefore,PCM,with high thermal inertia,acts as a temperature damper and has the potential to increase the moisture buffering capacity inside the HC.This makes it possible for such a combined envelope to have both thermal and hygric inertia.

Vacuum-dielectric interface is the most vulnerable part of vacuum insulation systems where surface electrical breakdown is prone to happen,hence severely restricts the development of advanced electro-vacuum devices with large capacity and its miniaturisation.Generally,a direct and effective way to improve vacuum surface insulation is to alleviate the initiation and development of multipactor phenomena.Inspired by this approach,the authors report a 3D-printed insulation structure designed with a millimetrescale surface cavity covered by periodic through-pore array via stereolithography,exhibiting remarkable multipactor suppression and flashover threshold improvement,well outperforming the conventional flashover mitigation strategies.Experiments and simulations demonstrate that electrons in the multipactor region pass through-pores and are unlikely to escape from the cavity,hence no longer participate in the above-surface multipactor process,and eventually improve flashover threshold.The proposed approach provides new inspiration for the design of advanced insulators featuring ultrahigh electrical withstanding capability and brings up new insight into pertinent industrial applications.

In the current work, in situ surface passivation Ge substrate by using trimethylaluminum（TMA） prior to HfTiO films deposition and electrical properties of HfTiO/Ge gate stacks have been investigated by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy（XPS） and electrical measurements systematically. Based on analysis from XPS measurements, it has been confirmed that the interfacial layer of HfTiO/Ge gate stack has been suppressed effectively after 20 half-ALD cycles TMA pretreatment. Electrical properties of metal-oxidesemiconductor（MOS） capacitor based on HfTiO gate dielectrics have shown that the MOS capacitor with20 cycles TMA cleaning exhibits the lowest interface state density（~7.56 eV^（-1）cm^（-2）） and the smallest leakage current（~2.67 × 10^（-5）A/cm^2）. Correspondingly, the leakage current conduction mechanisms for MOS capacitor device with 20 cycles TMA cleaning also have been discussed in detail.

The rate-limiting enzyme in the mevalonic acid(MVA)pathway which can lead to triterpenoid saponin glycyrrhizic acid(GA)is 3-hydroxy-3-methylglutaryl-CoA reductase(HMGR).In order to reveal the effect of copy number variation in the HMGR gene on the MVA pathway,the HMGR gene from Glycyrrhiza uralensis Fisch.(GuHMGR)was cloned and over-expressed in Pichia pastoris GS115.Six recombinant P.pastoris strains containing different copy numbers of the GuHMGR gene were obtained and the content of ergosterol was analyzed by HPLC.The results showed that all the recombinant P.pastoris strains contained more ergosterol than the negative control and the strains with 8 and 44 copies contained significantly more ergosterol than the other strains.However,as the copy number increased,the content of ergosterol showed an increasing–decreasing–increasing pattern.This study provides a rationale for increasing the content of GA through over-expressing the GuHMGR gene in cultivars of G.uralensis.

目的建立疫苗中铝佐剂含量的高效液相色谱(high performance liquid chromatography,HPLC)测定方法,并进行验证及初步应用。方法采用8-羟基喹啉衍生化方法进行测定。色谱柱为苯基-己基色谱柱[Luna 5u Phenyl-Hexyl(250 mm×4.6 mm)],流动相为乙酸铵-8-羟基喹啉乙腈溶液(60∶40),并添加终浓度为20 mg/L的抗坏血酸,荧光检测器激发波长380 nm,发射波长520 nm,流动相流速为1.0 mL/min,柱温为40℃,进样量为50μL,等度洗脱。对方法的专属性、线性范围、准确性、重复性、稳定性和耐用性进行验证。采用建立的方法测定12批疫苗中的铝含量,并与《中国药典》三部(2020版)通则3106的滴定法测定结果进行比较。结果样品色谱图中无干扰色谱峰,非铝佐剂疫苗成分、磷酸盐缓冲液对测定均无干扰。铝标准品在6.25~100μg/mL浓度范围内线性关系良好,r=0.999 6;准确性验证试验中甲型肝炎灭活疫苗、重组乙型肝炎疫苗、吸附无细胞百白破疫苗及肠道病毒71型灭活疫苗铝含量平均加样回收率分别为98.32%、100.85%、101.09%和99.31%;4种疫苗同批次平行6份供试品溶液中铝含量检测结果的相对标准偏差(relative standard deviation,RSD)分别为1.09%、1.42%、0.97%和1.30%;4种疫苗样品溶液室温放置0、2、4、6、8 h,铝含量检测结果的RSD分别为0.82%、0.73%、0.40%和0.48%;流动相中乙酸铵溶液与8-羟基喹啉乙腈溶液比例在±5%范围改变时,4种疫苗铝含量测定结果波动范围均不超过2%。建立的HPLC法测定12批疫苗样品中铝含量结果与《中国药典》三部(2020版)滴定法结果无明显差异。结论成功建立了疫苗中铝佐剂含量HPLC测定方法,该方法专属性、线性、准确性、重复性、稳定性、耐用性良好,操作简便且自动化程度高,人为因素干扰少,可实现单支样品测定,为快速大批量测定疫苗成品中铝含量,以及生产过程中监控半成品分装提供了有效手段。
