High-tenacity in-situ Ti/Zr-based bulk metallic glasses composites fabricated by industrial high-pressure die casting

The glass-forming ability and mechanical properties of metallic glasses and their composites are well known to be sensitive to the preparation conditions and are highly deteriorated by industrial preparing conditions such as low-purity raw materials and low ***,we showed that a series of in-situ bulk metallic glass composites(BMGCs)which exhibit excellent ductility and segmental work hardening were successfully developed utilizing a high vacuum high-pressure die casting(HV-HPDC)technology along with industrial-grade raw *** tensile properties of these BMGCs are systematically investigated and correlated with the alloy *** compared with the copper mold suction casting method,the volume fraction difference of the dendrite phase for the BMGCs with the same composition is not significant when fabricated by the HV-HPDC,whereas the size of theβ-phase is generally *** BMGCs with the composition of Ti_(48)Zr_(20)(V_(12/17)Cu_(5/17))19 Be 13 obtained by the HV-HPDC process show ductility up to 11.3%under tension at room temperature and exhibit a certain amount of work *** conditions need to be met to enable the BMGCs,which are prepared by vacuum die-casting to retain favorable ductility:(1)The volume fraction ofβphase stays below 62%±2%;(2)The equiaxed crystals with a more uniform size in the range of 5-10μ***,the results of the present study provided guidance for developing BMGCs with good ductile properties under industrial conditions.

A novel lightweight,radiation-shielding Mg-Ta-Al layered metal-matrix composite(LMC)was successful designed by doping the extremely refractory metal(Ta)into Mg *** Mg-based LMCs sheets shows excellent radiation-dose shield effect,about 145 krad·a^(−1),which is about 17 times of traditional Mg alloy,while its surface density is only about 0.9 g·cm^(−2),reducing by 60%than that of pure *** quantitate relationship between radiation-dose and the materials’thickness was also confirmed to the logistic function when the surface density is in the range of 0.6-1.5 g·cm^(−2).Meantime,the rolling parameters,interface microstructure and mechanical properties in both as-rolled and annealing treated samples were *** sheets possess a special dissimilar atoms diffusion transitional zone containing an obvious inter-diffusion Mg-Al interface and the unique micro-corrugated Ta-Al interface,as well as a thin Al film with a thickness of about 10μ*** special zone could reduce the stress concentration and enhance the strength of Mg-Ta-Al *** interface bonding strength reaches up to 54-76 *** ultimate tensile strength(UTS)and yield strength(TYS)of the Mg-Ta-Al sheet were high to 413 MPa and 263 MPa,respectively,along with an elongation of 5.8%.The molecular dynamics(MD)analysis results show that the two interfaces exhibit different formation mechanism,the Mg-Al interface primarily depended on Mg/Al atoms diffusion basing point defects movement,while the Ta-Al interface with a micro-interlock pining shape formed by close-packed planes slipping during high temperature strain-induced deformation process.

Single-trial ERP evidence for the three-stage scheme of facial expression processing

Using a rapid serial visual presentation paradigm, we previously showed that the average amplitudes of six event-related potential (ERP) components were affected by different categories of emotional faces. In the current study, we investigated the six discriminating components on a single-trial level to clarify whether the amplitude difference between experimental conditions results from a difference in the real variability of single-trial amplitudes or from latency jitter across trials. It is found that there were consistent amplitude differences in the single-trial P1, N170, VPP, N3, and P3 components, demonstrating that a substantial proportion of the average amplitude differences can be explained by the pure variability in amplitudes on a single-trial basis between experimental conditions. These single-trial results verified the three-stage scheme of facial expression processing beyond multitrial ERP averaging, and showed the three processing stages of "fear popup", "emotional/unemotional discrimination", and "complete separation" based on the single-trial ERP dynamics.

Effect of Kovar alloy oxidized in simulated N_2/H_2O atmosphere on its sealing with glass

The effect of Kovar alloy oxidized in simulated field atmosphere on its sealing with glass was studied in this article. After Kovar plates and pins were preoxidized in N2 with 0℃, 10℃ and 20℃ dew points at 1000℃ for different times, Fe304 and Fe203 existed in the oxidation products on Kovar surface, and the quantity of Fe203 increased with increasing dew point and oxidation time. Then they were sealed with borosilicate glass insulator at 1030℃ for 20 rain. The results indicated that the type and quantity of oxidation products would directly influence the quality of glass-to-metal seals. With the increase of oxidation products, gas bubbles in the glass insulator were more serious, the climbing height of glass along the pins was higher, and corrosion of Kovar pins caused from the molten glass was transformed from uniform to the localized.

洋流对桩基的冲刷可能导致海洋风电平台结构失稳。因此,需要深入研究洋流对桩基周围的冲刷过程,探索不同桩基直径在洋流下的冲刷规律。文章设计了2.4米、3.5米、4.0米直径的桩基,对桩基和流场进行多尺度的网格划分,通过CFD实验研究了不同直径的单桩基础周围的海床冲刷问题。仿真实验结果表明,当桩基直径增大时,如果冲刷水流速度不变,冲刷孔的深度会增加。根据仿真试验结果,提出了预测风电桩基周围冲刷深度的经验公式。

旨在探究倾斜结构在LiTaO_(3)-POI多层结构上对SAW谐振器横向模态杂散的影响。通过有限元方法(FEM),构建两种单端口谐振器模型,半周期P为0.98μm和1.42μm,孔径均为40P。然后对一系列倾斜角度(0°,2.5°,5°,7.5°,10°,12.5°,15°,17.5°,20°)进行了仿真分析,并完成版图绘制和流片测试。研究结果表明,实测数据与仿真结果之间具有高度一致性。在相同的半周期条件下,随着倾斜角度的增加,SAW谐振器对横向模态杂散抑制能力在一定范围内先增强后减弱。机电耦合系数随之逐渐减小,阻抗比的变化规律是先增大后降低,特别是在倾斜角度为2.5°和5°时,阻抗比达到最大值。这些规律揭示了倾斜结构对LiTaO_(3)-POI多层结构SAW谐振器横向模态杂散具有显著的抑制作用,为SAW滤波器的设计和制造提供了重要的理论依据和实践指导。研究结果表明,适当的倾斜角度能够有效优化SAW谐振器的性能,对于高性能射频滤波器的研制具有重要意义。

为了提高声表面波(SAW)滤波器的使用寿命和设计效率,有必要研究谐振单元对滤波器功率耐受力的影响。首先通过FEM有限元软件搭建由Al电极、42°Y-X LiTaO_(3)压电材料薄膜和SiO_(2)/Poly-Si/Si衬底构成的谐振器模型,并分析IDT、声孔径、半周期对其阻抗的影响。同时,提出了一种谐振器功率测试方法,该方法可以计算出谐振器的各个频点下加载功率随输入功率的变化。为了验证功率测试方法的可靠性,对采用3030C封装的B41(2515~2675 MHz)滤波器进行功率测试,结果显示在输入功率为23 dBm时,滤波器被烧毁,与仿真数据一致。最后结合电容公式和仿真数据证实了谐振器的面积变化会改变滤波器的电容比,进而影响滤波器的散热,因此可以通过改变SAW滤波器各支路串并联结构以及各谐振器叉指对数、孔径、半周期,来提高滤波器功率耐受性。

LONG-TERM CREEP ASSESSMENT OF VISCOELASTIC POLYMER BY TIME-TEMPERATURE-STRESS SUPERPOSITION

Nonlinear viscoelastic creep properties of poly （methyl methacrylate） at various temperatures and stress levels were measured in short-term tests to check the applicability of time-temperature-stress superposition principle, which is the combined form of time-temperature superposition principle and time-stress superposition principle. A unified master creep compli- ance curve was constructed from the short-term tests by joint application of time-temperature superposition and time-stress superposition. The unified master curve establishes the creep com- pliance over two years, which is 4.2 decades longer than the test duration. Moreover, it is verified that in nonlinear viscoelastic cases, the time-temperature shift factors are dependent on stresses at which the shifts are applied, while the time-stress shift factors are dependent on temperatures.

Controllable growth of dielectric/semiconductor integrated films

Currently, electronic information systems are developing quickly towards further miniaturization and monolithic integration so as to realize smaller volume, higher velocity and lower power consumption. For this purpose, the integration of all sorts of active devices (mainly fabricated by semiconductors) with passive devices (fabricated by functional materials) is particularly important and impendent. Therefore, it is necessary to integrate multifunctional oxide dielectrics possessing electric, magnetic, acoustic, optical and thermal properties characterized by spontaneous polarization with semiconductors bearing the characters of carrier transportation to form artificial structures via deposition of solid films. This kind of integrated films may have two characters, i.e., the all-in-one multifunction and modulation of electromagnetic properties by hetero-interface. This makes it possible to realize mono-lithic integration of detecting, processing, transmission, executing and storing of electronic information. Meanwhile, possible integrated coupling effects will be pursued instead of exploring the limited physical properties of the related materials. In this paper, we put forward a new direction of developing electronic devices with higher performances, and demonstrate some results concerning our recent research on the interface-controllable integrated growth of dielectrics and GaN. Recent progresses of the related research in the world are also reviewed.
