Designing hybrid materials with numerous catalytic active sites,high specific surface area,and interfacial interactions is an effective strategy to improve electrocatalytic *** this work,iron-based metal organic frameworks(Fe-MOFs)@(Co,Ni)Fe-layered double hydroxide(LDH)is successfully constructed using the similar"MOF growing on LDH"strategy for oxygen evolution reaction and hydrogen evolution reaction in the alkaline *** synthesized hybrid materials in this particular way show excellent electrochemical overall water-splitting performance with the cell voltage of 1.62 V at10 mA·cm^(-2) in the alkaline environment due to the optimized adsorption/desorption properties of metal ions on oxygencontaining species and interfacial effects of hybrid ***-MOFs@(Co,Ni)Fe-LDH also exhibits excellent hydrogen and oxygen production efficiency of 370 and 175μL·min^(-1),*** work draws on an effective approach to the fabrication of MOF@LDH structures and provides new insights into overall water-splitting in alkaline conditions.

The dark soliton pulse with spectral sideband is experimentally observed in a dispersion-managed ail-fiber ring laser with net negative cavity group velocity *** find that,for single or multiple dark solitons,the spectral sidebands always appear and exhibit asymmetric characteristics which are similar to bright *** experimental measurements of spectral sideband positions are carried out and the results are in good agreement with the calculated *** results show that spectral sideband effect is also an intrinsic feature of a dark soliton fiber laser.

Q-switched mode-locked multimode fiber laser based on a graphene-deposited multimode microfiber

We report Q-switched mode-locked(QML)pulses generation in an Yb-doped multimode fiber(MMF)laser by using a graphene-deposited multimode microfiber(GMM)for the first time,to the best of our *** single-wavelength QML operation with the central wavelength tunable from 1028.81 nm to 1039.20 nm and the dual-wavelength QML operation with the wavelength spacing tunable from 0.93 nm to 5.79 nm are achieved due to the multimode interference filtering effect induced by the few-mode fiber and MMF structure and the GMM in the ***,in the single-wavelength QML operation,the fifth harmonic is also realized owing to the high nonlinear effect of the *** obtained results indicate that the QML pulses can be generated in the MMF laser,and such a flexible tunable laser has promising applications in optical sensing,measuring,and laser processing.

Precise integration method for a class of singular two-point boundary value problems

In this paper we present a precise integration method based on high order multiple perturbation method and reduction method for solving a class of singular twopoint boundary value ***,by employing the method of variable coefficient dimensional expanding,the non-homogeneous ordinary differential equations（ODEs） are transformed into homogeneous *** the interval is divided evenly,and the transfer matrix in every subinterval is worked out using the high order multiple perturbation method,and a set of algebraic equations is given in the form of matrix by the precise integration relation for each segment,which is worked out by the reduction *** numerical examples are elaboratedd to validate the present method.

A thermodynamic model on predicting density of medium-Mn steels with experimental verification

A new model on predicting the density of hot-rolled multi-phased medium-Mn steel has been presen ted on the basis of thermodynamic calculations. This is an integrated model, which includes one for calculating the retained austenite （RA） fraction and the other for volume expansion during the aus tenite-to martensite transformation, because both of them are key parameters for calculating the den- sity of steel at ambient temperature. The existing empirical equations for calculating Mx temperature and lattice constants of both martensite and austenite have been all rcassessed by the XRD measure ments on the microstructures of seven hot-rolled medium-Mn steels. Finally, the densities ot seven steels were calculated merely from compositions and compared with the measured ones. The differ ence between them is no more than 1 %, suggesting that the presented model should be of good value in designing the low density steels.

Selective Laser Melting of 30CrMnSiA Steel: Laser Energy Density Dependence of Microstructural and Mechanical Properties

Three-dimensional parts of the 30 CrMnSiA steel were successfully fabricated using selective laser melting（SLM）. The microstructures and mechanical properties of the SLM-processed 30 CrMnSiA samples were investigated by scanning electron microscope and transmission electron microscopy. The results indicate that the microstructures of the 30 CrMnSiA samples consist mainly of lath martensite and acicular martensite. The value of the surface roughness decreases with increasing laser energy density（LED） before it reaches a minimum and then increases with further increasing LED. The relative density, microhardness and ultimate tensile strength of the SLM-processed samples initially increase and then decrease with increasing LED. By taking the relative density, surface roughness, microhardness and ultimate tensile strength into account, the optimized LED should be in the range of 46.15–51.28 J mm^（-3） for the SLM-processed30 CrMnSiA alloys. In addition, the differences in the microstructures and mechanical properties between the conventionally wrought 30 CrMnSiA sample and SLM-processed 30 CrMnSiA samples were also studied.

Insights into heat management of hydrogen adsorption for improved hydrogen isotope separation of porous materials

Separating high-purity hydrogen isotopes from their mixture still remains a huge challenge due to almost the identical physicochemical *** importance has been attached to tune microstructure of porous materials,while heat management during hydrogen isotope separation tends to be ***,a porous material 5 A molecular sieve(5 A)is mixed with graphene(GE)under ball grinding to enhance its thermal conductivity for hydrogen isotope *** thermal conductivity increases from 0.19 W m^(-1)K^(-1)of neat 5 A,0.75 W m^(-1)K^(-1)of 5 A/GE2(2 wt%GE)to 1.23 W m^(-1)K^(-1)of 5 A/*** addition,introducing GE into 5 A promotes hydrogen adsorption and D_(2)/H_(2)adsorption ratio.5 A/GE2 shows the highest D_(2)adsorption capacity(5.40 mmol/g)and the largest D_(2)/H_(2)adsorption ratio(1.07)among the *** also displays a high efficiency of heat transfer that contributes to a low energy consumption due to the shortened cycle time during hydrogen isotope *** work offers new insights into material design for improved hydrogen isotope separation,which is greatly crucial to scientific and industrial applications,such as fuel self-sustaining in fusion reactors.

Risk Assessment of Nitrogen Discharge from a Coastal Watershed

Probabilistic risk assessment （PRA） uses probability theory to quantify the probability of occurrence of an event. In this study, PRA was conducted for the discharge of excess nitrogen （N） from an agricultural （Jiulong River） watershed in Southeast China. Using fault tree analysis, a type of PRA, the probability of occurrence of excess N discharge into the river during a runoff event was evaluated both qualitatively and quantitatively. Land use maps, soil maps, fertilizer use records, and expert opinions were used to determine probabilities of individual events within the fault tree and to calculate the overall probability of excess N discharge during a runoff event. Qualitative analysis showed that the risk of excess N discharge was mainly related to crop and livestock practices in the watershed. Proper management of tillage, fertilizer, and manure was necessary to control N releases. Quantitative assessment results indicated that alternative practices including reduction of fertilization, installation of vegetative strip buffer around the pig farms, and installation of more riparian buffers along the Jiulong River could reduce the likelihood of N discharge through runoff.
