Sulfur isotopes of S-bearing materials are powerful tools to trace various geological processes and sulfur sources in earth sciences,especially in ore deposits where sulfide-sulfate pair coprecipitates ***,in-situ S isotope determination of barite is challenging without natural matrix-matched reference *** this study,we present two natural barite reference materials(1-YS and 294-YS)for in-situ sulfur isotopic *** LA-MC-ICP-MS laboratories were utilized to test theδ34S micron-scale homogeneity of 1-YS and 294-YS barites that have 2s repeatabilities of better than±0.45‰and±0.41‰,***,the in-situ analysis results are consistent with the results of the bulk analysis by GS-IRMS within *** grand meanδ~(34)S values of 1-YS(13.37‰±0.42‰,2s)and 294-YS(14.38‰±0.44‰,2s)are the final recommended values obtained from four independent *** the results confirm the suitability of 1-YS and 294-YS barite used as calibration materials with respect to in-situ S isotopic ***,the new developed barite reference materials were used as matrix-matched standard to calibrate the barite samples from the Huayangchuan carbonatite-hosted U-polymetallic deposit(Qinling orogenic belt,western China)to obtainδ34S *** the temperaturedependentδ34S fractionation of barite-pyrite pair,we calculate the formation temperature of barite(i.e.,506 to 537°C)and theδ34S value of mineralizing fluid(i.e.,-7.11‰to-7.59‰)in the Huayangchuan *** results indicate an involvement of sedimentary sulfur,presumably acting as a potential uranium source(e.g.,upper crustal materials)for the giant Huayangchuan deposit.

Huanglian-Renshen-Decoction Maintains Isletβ-Cell Identity in T2DM Mice through Regulating GLP-1 and GLP-1R in Both Islet and Intestine

Objective: To elucidate the effect of Huanglian-Renshen-Decoction(HRD) on ameliorating type 2 diabetes mellitus by maintaining islet β-cell identity through regulating paracrine and endocrine glucagon-like peptide-1(GLP-1)/GLP-1 receptor(GLP-1R) in both islet and intestine. Methods: The db/db mice were divided into the model(distilled water), low-dose HRD(LHRD, 3 g/kg), high-dose HRD(HHRD, 6 g/kg), and liraglutide(400 μg/kg) groups using a random number table, 8 mice in each group. The db/m mice were used as the control group(n=8, distilled water). The entire treatment of mice lasted for 6 weeks. Blood insulin, glucose, and GLP-1levels were quantified using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kits. The proliferation and apoptosis factors of islet cells were determined by immunohistochemistry(IHC) and immunofluorescence(IF) staining. Then,GLP-1, GLP-1R, prohormone convertase 1/3(PC1/3), PC2, v-maf musculoaponeurotic fibrosarcoma oncogene homologue A(MafA), and pancreatic and duodenal homeobox 1(PDX1) were detected by Western blot, IHC,IF, and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction, respectively. Results: HRD reduced the weight and blood glucose of the db/db mice, and improved insulin sensitivity at the same time(Pfunction and identity of islet β cell, and the underlying mechanism is related to promoting the paracrine and endocrine activation of GLP-1 in pancreas and intestine.

The hot deformation behavior of Pt−10Ir alloy was studied under a wide range of deformation *** a low deformation temperature(950−1150℃),the softening mechanism is primarily dynamic *** addition,dynamic recrystallization by progressive lattice rotation near grain boundaries(DRX by LRGBs)and microshear bands assisted dynamic recrystallization(MSBs assisted DRX)coordinate the ***,it is difficult for the dynamic softening to offset the stain hardening due to a limited amount of DRXed *** a high deformation temperature(1250−1350℃),three main DRX mechanisms associated with strain rates occur:DRX by LRGBs,DRX by a homogeneous increase in misorientation(HIM)and geometric DRX(GDRX).With increasing strain,DRX by LRGBs is enhanced gradually under high strain rates;the“pinch-off”effect is enhanced at low strain rates,which was conducive to the formation of a uniform and fine microstructure.

BACKGROUND The increasing risk of cardiovascular disease(CVD)associated with worsening environmental exposure is a critical health concern garnering global research *** To systematically assess the scope and characteristics of research on the relationship between environmental exposure and *** A thorough examination of publications on the relationship between environmental exposure and CVD from 1999 to 2022 was carried out by extensively screening the literature using the Web of Science Core *** language of the selected publications was standardized to ***,different academic tools such as CiteSpace,VOSviewer,HistCite,Python,Matplotlib,and Bibliometrix were utilized to examine the research trends in this *** The study’s findings indicated a steady increase in scientific publications among the 1640 analyzed documents,peaking in 2022 with 197 *** United States emerged as the leading nation regarding high-quality publications and international *** University was identified as the most prolific institution.“Environmental research”was the most frequently contributing journal,and Muenzel T was recognized as the top *** research hotspots are primarily concentrated on themes such as“cardiovascular disease”,“exposure”,“risk”,“mortality”,and“air pollution”.CONCLUSION This study highlights increasing research on the link between environmental exposure and CVD,identifying key exposures and diseases while emphasizing the need for further investigation into underlying mechanisms.

Phosphor-in-glass(PiG)has been prepared into various types of phosphor films owing to its simplicity process,exceptional color purity,and convenient color ***,existing reflective PiGs films have encountered limitations in terms of stability and feasibility as reliable color converters,mainly attributed to issues related to thermal deposition and insufficient optical ***,we propose to use AlN substrate with superior thermal conductivity to coat the TiO_(2) layer to obtain TiO_(2)-AlN(TA),which enhances the reflectivity of blue light to facilitate the light conversion *** incorporating highly thermally stable LuAG:Ce-PiGs on a TA substrate,the LuAG:Ce-PiTA converter exhibits a luminous flux of 1102 lm@6.4 W,and maintains a relative intensity of 94.6%at 473 K benefiting from the high thermal conductivity of 34.1 W/(m·K).The addition of CASN_(3):Eu to the color converter 50 L&10C-PiTA enables an impressive CRI of *** lumine scence intensities of LuAG:Ce-PiTA and 50 L&10C-PiTA only decrease by 5.35%and 3.28%,respectively,in the 24 h illumination aging decay test of the reflective laser *** results confirm the suitability of the optimally designed TA substrate for LuAG:Ce color converter applications in high-power reflective laser illumination.

Background:Computed tomography(CT)plays a great role in characterizing and quantifying changes in lung structure and function of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease(COPD).This study aimed to explore the performance of CT-based whole lung radiomic in discriminating COPD patients and non-COPD ***:This retrospective study was performed on 2785 patients who underwent pulmonary function examination in 5 hospitals and were divided into non-COPD group and COPD *** radiomic features of the whole lung volume were *** absolute shrinkage and selection operator(LASSO)logistic regression was applied for feature selection and radiomic signature construction.A radiomic nomogram was established by combining the radiomic score and clinical *** operating characteristic(ROC)curve analysis and decision curve analysis(DCA)were used to evaluate the predictive performance of the radiomic nomogram in the training,internal validation,and independent external validation ***:Eighteen radiomic features were collected from the whole lung volume to construct a radiomic *** area under the curve(AUC)of the radiomic model in the training,internal,and independent external validation cohorts were 0.888[95%confidence interval(CI)0.869–0.906],0.874(95%CI 0.844–0.904),and 0.846(95%CI 0.822–0.870),*** were higher than the clinical model(AUC were 0.732,0.714,and 0.777,respectively,P<0.001).DCA demonstrated that the nomogram constructed by combining radiomic score,age,sex,height,and smoking status was superior to the clinical factor ***:The intuitive nomogram constructed by CT-based whole-lung radiomic has shown good performance and high accuracy in identifying COPD in this multicenter study.
