Here,we characterize the temporal and spatial dynamics of forest community structure and species diversity in a subtropical evergreen broad-leaved forest in *** found that community structure in this forest changed over a 15-year ***,renewal and death of common species was large,with the renewal of individuals mainly concentrated within a few populations,especially those of Aidia canthioides and Cryptocarya *** numbers of individual deaths for common species were concentrated in the small and mid-diameter *** spatial distribution of community species diversity fluctuated in each monitoring period,showing a more dispersed diversity after the 15-year study period,and the coefficient of variation on quadrats *** 2010,the death and renewal of the community and the spatial variation of species diversity were different compared to other survey *** weather may have affected species regeneration and community stability in our subtropical monsoon evergreen broad-leaved *** findings suggest that strengthening the monitoring and management of the forest community will help better understand the long-and short-term causes of dynamic fluctuations of community structure and species diversity,and reveal the factors that drive changes in community structure.

Since the industrial revolution,enhancement of atmospheric greenhouse gas concentrations as a result of human activities has been the primary cause of global *** monitoring and evaluation of greenhouse gases are significant prerequisites for carbon emission *** monthly data of global atmospheric carbon dioxide(CO_(2))and methane(CH4)column concentrations(hereinafter XCO_(2) and XCH_(4),respectively)retrieved by the Greenhouse Gas Observation Satellite(GOSAT),we analyzed the variations in XCO_(2)and XCH_(4)in China during 2010-2022 after confirming the reliability of the ***,the influence of a strong El Niño event in 2015-2016 on XCO_(2) and XCH_(4) variations in China was further *** results show that the retrieved XCO_(2) and XCH_(4) from GOSAT have similar temporal variation trends and significant correlations with the ground observation and emission inventory data of an atmospheric background station,which could be used to assess the variations in XCO_(2) and XCH_(4) in ***_(2) is high in spring and winter while XCH_(4) is high in *** XCO_(2) and XCH_(4) gradually declined from Southeast China to Northwest and Northeast China,with variation ranges of 401-406 and 1.81-1.88 ppmv,respectively;and the high value areas are located in the middle-lower Yangtze River ***_(2) and XCH_(4) in China increased as a whole during 2010-2022,with rapid enhancement and high levels of XCO_(2) and XCH_(4) in several *** significant increases in XCO_(2) and XCH_(4) over China in 2016 might be closely related to the strong El Niño-Southern Oscillation(ENSO)event during *** a global warming background in 2015,XCO_(2) and XCH_(4) increased by 0.768%and 0.657%in 2016 in *** analysis reveals that both the XCO_(2) and XCH_(4) variations might reflect the significant impact of the ENSO event on glacier melting in the Tibetan Plateau.

Valley-polarized quantum anomalous Hall effect(VQAHE), combined nontrivial band topology with valleytronics,is of importance for both fundamental sciences and emerging applications. However, the experimental realization of this property is challenging. Here, by using first-principles calculations and modal analysis, we predict a mechanism of producing VQAHE in two-dimensional ferromagnetic van der Waals germanene/MnI_(2) heterostructure. This heterostructure exhibits both valley anomalous Hall effect and VQAHE due to the joint effects of magnetic exchange effect and spin–orbital coupling with the aid of anomalous Hall conductance and chiral edge state. Moreover interestingly, through the electrical modulation of ferroelectric polarization state in In_(2)Se_(3), the germanene/Mn I_(2)/In_(2)Se_(3) heterostructure can undergo reversible switching from a semiconductor to a metallic behavior. This work offers a guiding advancement for searching for VQAHE in ferromagnetic van der Waals heterostructures and exploiting energy-efficient devices based on the VQAHE.

Association between the polymorphisms of interleukin-4, the interleukin-4 receptor gene and asthma

Background Interleukin-4 （IL4） is one of the most important cytokines involved in a variety of allergic disorders, particularly, asthma. A number of genetic epidemiological studies have identified an association between the gene polymorphisms of IL4 and interleukin-4 receptor （IL4R） and asthma in different populations. However, these studies have been inconsistent and inconclusive. The aim of this study was to investigate the association between the single nucleotide polymorphism （SNP） of IL-4, IL-4R and asthma risk in case-controlled studies using meta-analysis. Method A genetic model-free approach was used to perform the meta-analysis. Asthma （atopy status nondefined）, nonatopic and atopic asthma subgroups were separately analyzed. Next, the ethnic subgroup was analyzed. Heterogeneity and publication bias were also explored. Results Only two polymorphisms of IL4 （rs2243250 and rs2070874） and four polymorphisms of IL4R （rs1801275, rs1805011, rs1805010, and rs1805015） were included in the meta-analysis. Polymorphisms rs2243250 and rs2070874 of IL-4 and rs1801275 and rs1805011 of IL4R were associated with asthma. The overall odds ratio （OR） of rs2243250 in the CC versus TT＋TC genotypes was 0.84 （95% CI： 0.75-0.94）, and the Z-test for the overall effect was 3.0 （P=0.003）. We obtained significant results from this polymorphism in the Caucasian ethnicity and adult groups. However, the overall OR of rs1801275 for the GG＋AG versus AA genotype was 1.16 （95% CI： 1.00-1.35）, and the Z-test for the overall effect was 1.87 （P=0.06）. Moreover, significant results were only obtained from the sub-group analysis in Asians （P=0.02）. In the rs1805011 polymorphism of IL4R, the overall OR for the CC ＋AC versus AA genotypes was 0.39 （95% CI： 0.16-0.95）, and the Z-test for the overall effect was 2.08 （P=0.04）. One key strategy to enhance photocatalytic performance is to improve the transfer and separation efficiency of photogenerated carriers by building optimized ***,novel Bi4O5Br2/NH2-MIL-125（Ti）Z-scheme heterojunctions are fabricated and used as photocatalysts for organic pollutant *** NH2-MIL-125（Ti） nanosheets are exfoliated via a self-developed alkali solution stripping approach and then uniformly decorated on *** as-prepared Bi4O5Br2/NH2-MIL-125（Ti） presents more than 90% degradation of various pollutants,outperforming the counterpart individual *** various characterization results suggest that the enhanced degradation rate is due to the more intimate face-to-face interfacial contact of the lamellar Z-scheme heterojunction materials,in which the migration path of carriers from the material's interior to the surface can be reduced,in turn enhancing migration efficiency and separation capability significantly.A possible photocatalytic reaction mechanism is proposed based on the photoelectric behaviors,radical trapping experiments and liquid chromatography mass spectrometry *** work promotes the development of new photocatalytic materials for heterojunctions with face-to-face interfacial contacts,as well as the effective purification of wastewater in environmental remediation.
