First-principles study on the diffusion behavior of Cs and I in Cr coating

Cs and I can migrate through fuel-cladding interfaces and accelerate the cladding corrosion process induced by the fuel-cladding chemical *** coating has emerged as an important candidate for mitigating this chemical *** this study,first-principles calculations were employed to investigate the diffusion behavior of Cs and I in the Cr bulk and grain boundaries to reveal the microscopic interaction mitigation mechanisms at the fuel-cladding *** interaction between these two fission products and the Cr coating were studied systematically,and the Cs and I temperature-dependent diffusion coefficients in Cr were obtained using Bocquet’s oversized solute-atom model and Le Claire’s nine-frequency model,*** results showed that the Cs and I migration barriers were significantly lower than that of Cr,and the Cs and I diffusion coefficients were more than three orders of magnitude larger than the Cr self-diffusion coefficient within the temperature range of Generation-IV fast reactors(below 1.00 K),demonstrating the strong penetration ability of Cs and ***,Cs and I are more likely to diffuse along the grain boundary because of the generally low migration barriers,indicating that the grain boundary serves as a fast diffusion channel for Cs and I.

Phase behavior of gas condensate in porous media using real-time computed tomography scanning

The phase behavior of gas condensate in reservoir formations differs from that in pressure-volume-temperature(PVT)cells because it is influenced by porous media in the reservoir *** was used as a sample to investigate the influence of porous media on the phase behavior of the gas *** pore structure was first analyzed using computed tomography(CT)scanning,digital core technology,and a pore network *** sandstone core sample was then saturated with gas condensate for the pressure depletion *** each pressure-depletion state was stable,realtime CT scanning was performed on the *** scanning results of the sample were reconstructed into three-dimensional grayscale images,and the gas condensate and condensate liquid were segmented based on gray value discrepancy to dynamically characterize the phase behavior of the gas condensate in porous *** network models of the condensate liquid ganglia under different pressures were built to calculate the characteristic parameters,including the average radius,coordination number,and tortuosity,and to analyze the changing mechanism caused by the phase behavior change of the gas *** types of condensate liquid(clustered,branched,membranous,and droplet ganglia)were then classified by shape factor and Euler number to investigate their morphological changes dynamically and *** results show that the dew point pressure of the gas condensate in porous media is 1..7 MPa,which is 0.7 MPa higher than 1..0 MPa in PVT *** average radius,volume,and coordination number of the condensate liquid ganglia increased when the system pressure was between the dew point pressure(1..7 MPa)and the pressure for the maximum liquid dropout,Pmax(1..0 MPa),and decreased when it was below *** volume proportion of clustered ganglia was the highest,followed by branched,membranous,and droplet *** study provides crucial experimental evidence for the phase behavior chan

Synergic catalytic effect between active sites and supports greatly determines the catalytic activity for the aerobic oxidative desulfurization of fuel *** this work,Ni-doped Co-based bimetallic metal-organic framework(CoNi-MOF)is fabricated to disperse N-hydroxyphthalimide(NHPI),in which the whole catalyst provides plentiful synergic catalytic effect to improve the performance of oxidative desulfurization(ODS).As a bimetallic MOF,the second metal Ni doping results in the flower-like morphology and the modification of electronic properties,which ensure the exposure of NHPI and strengthen the synergistic effect of the overall *** with the monometallic Co-MOF and naked NHPI,the NHPI@CoNi-MOF triggers the efficient activation of molecular oxygen and improves the ODS performance without an *** sulfur removal of dibenzothiophene-based model oil reaches 96.4%over the NHPI@CoNi-MOF catalyst in 8 h of ***,the catalytic product of this aerobic ODS reaction is sulfone,which is adsorbed on the catalyst surface due to the difference in *** work provides new insight and strategy for the design of a strong synergic catalytic effect between NHPI and bimetallic supports toward high-activity aerobic ODS materials.

Quenching and flow of charm and bottom quarks via semi-leptonic decay of D and B mesons in Pb+Pb collisions at the LHC

Heavy flavor particles provide important probes of the microscopic structure and thermodynamic properties of the quark-gluon plasma(QGP)produced in high-energy nucleus-nucleus *** studied the energy loss and flow of charm and bottom quarks inside the QGP via the nuclear modification factor(R_(AA))and elliptic flow coefficient(v_(2))of their decayed leptons in heavy-ion collisions at the *** dynamical evolution of the QGP was performed using the CLVisc(3+1.-dimensional viscous hydrodynamics model;the evolution of heavy quarks inside the QGP was simulated with our improved Langevin model that considers both collisional and radiative energy loss of heavy quarks;the hadronization of heavy quarks was simulated via our hybrid coalescence-fragmentation model;and the semi-leptonic decay of D and B mesons was simulated via *** the same spatial diffusion coefficient for charm and bottom quarks,we obtained smaller R_(AA) and larger v_(2) of charm decayed leptons than bottom decayed leptons,indicating stronger energy loss of charm quarks than bottom quarks inside the QGP within our current model setup.

The privileged C_(2)-symmetric rigid phenol-type ligand is more attractive but challenging in asymmetric ***,we designed and synthesized a class of rigid-featured chiral tridentate Phenol-2NO ligands,that incorporate the advantages of both the phenol skeleton and pyrroloimidazolone-based N-oxide moiety,from readily available L-prolinamides in operationally simple two steps and up to 44%overall *** importantly,using an achiral quinoline derivative as an additive,the newly developed Phenol-2NO ligand could serve as the anioic ligand upon deprotonative activation to coordinate to Zn(II)to form a highly enantioselective catalyst for the asymmetric Michael-type Friedel-Crafts alkylation reaction of indoles with 2,*** yields(up to 90%)and high enantioselectivities(up to 99%ee)are obtained for a wide range of substrates under mild *** and DFT calculations revealed the reaction mechanism and the origins of the *** also represented the first activation of phenol-type ligand/metal complex by an achiral organic base as the additive in asymmetric catalysis.

In this study,we reported the discovery and structure-activity relationship analysis of chrysin derivatives as a new class of inhibitors targeting poly(ADP-ribose)polymerase 1.PARP1..Among these derivatives,compound 5d emerged as the most effective chrysin-based inhibitor of PARP1.with an IC50 value of 1.8 nmol·L^(-1..This compound significantly inhibited the proliferation and migration of breast cancer cell lines HCC-1.37 and MDA-MB-436 by inducing DNA ***,5d induced apoptosis and caused an extended G1.S-phase in these cell *** docking studies revealed that 5d possesses a strong binding affinity toward *** vivo,in a xenograft model,5d effectively reduced tumor growth by downregulating PARP1.***,compound 5d shows promise as a potential therapeutic agent for the treatment of BRCA wild-type breast cancer.
