The interfacial reaction behavior of Al and Ti_3AlC_(2)at different pouring temperatures and its effect on the microstructure and mechanical properties of the composites were *** results show that the addition of3.0 wt.%Ti_3AlC_(2)refines the average grain size ofα(Al)in the composite by 50.1%compared to Al6061 *** analyses indicate that an in-situ Al_(3Ti)transition layer of-180 nm in thickness is generated around the edge of Ti_3AlC_(2)at 720℃,forming a well-bonded Al-Al_(3Ti)*** this processing temperature,the ultimate tensile strength of A16061-3.0 wt.%Ti_3AlC_(2)composite is 199.2 MPa,an improvement of 41.5%over the Al6061 *** analyses further elucidate that 720℃is favourable for forming the nano-sized transition layer at the Ti_3AlC_(2)***,the thermal mismatch strengthening plays a dominant role in this state,with a strengthening contribution of about 74.8%.

During smile evaluation and anterior esthetic construction,the anatomic and racial variations should be considered in order to achieve better matching *** aims of this study were to validate an objective method for recording spontaneous smile process and to categorize the smile and upper lip curvature of Chinese Han-nationality *** hundred and eighty-eight Chinese Han-nationality youths(88 males and 100 females) ranged from 20 to 35 years of age were *** smiles were elicited by watching comical movies and the dynamics of the spontaneous smile were captured continuously with a digital video *** subjects’ smiles were categorized into three types:commissure,cuspid and gummy smile based on video editing software and final ***’ upper lip curvatures were also measured and divided into three groups:upward,straight and *** analysis was conducted to obtain intra-rater reliabilities on twice *** Pearson Chi-square test was used to compare differences for each parameters(α=0.05).In smile classification,60.6%commissure smile,33.5%cuspid smile and 5.9%gummy smile were *** upper lip measurement,26.1%upward,39.9%straight and 34.0%downward upper lip curvature were *** commissure smile group showed statistically significant higher percentage of straight(46.5%) and upward(40.4%) in upper lip curvatures(P<0.05),while cuspid smile group(65.1%) and gummy smile group(72.7%) showed statistically significant higher frequency in downward upper lip curvature(P<0.05).It is evident that differences in upper lip curvature and smile classification exist based on race,when comparing Chinese subjects with those of Caucasian descent,and gender.

Experimental studies have shown that exercise and human adipose-derived stem cells(ADSCs)play positive roles in spinal cord injury(SCI).However,whether ADSCs and/or exercise have a positive effect on SCI-induced neuropathic pain is still ***,there is a need to explore the effects of exercise combined with administration of ADSCs on neuropathic pain after *** this study,a thoracic 11(T11)SCI contusion model was established in adult C57BL/6 *** was initiated from 7 days post-injury and continued to 28 days post-injury,and approximately 1×105 ADSCs were transplanted into the T11 spinal cord lesion site immediately after *** function and neuropathic pain-related behaviors were assessed weekly using the Basso Mouse Scale,von Frey filament test,Hargreaves method,and cold plate *** studies(Eriochrome cyanine staining and immunohistochemistry)were performed at the end of the experiment(28 days post-injury).Exercise combined with administration of ADSCs partially improved early motor function(7,14,and 21 days postinjury),mechanical allodynia,mechanical hypoalgesia,thermal hyperalgesia,and thermal *** of ADSCs reduced white and gray matter loss at the lesion *** addition,fewer microglia and astrocytes(as identified by expression of ionized calcium-binding adapter molecule 1 and glial fibrillary acidic protein,respectively)were present in the lumbar dorsal horn in the SCI+ADSCs and SCI+exercise+ADSCs groups compared with the sham *** findings suggest that exercise combined with administration of ADSCs is beneficial for the early recovery of motor function and could partially ameliorate SCIinduced neuropathic pain.

AIM:To observe the surgical effects of slanted bilateral lateral recession(S-BLR)versus conventional bilateral lateral recession(C-BLR)in convergence insufficiency intermittent exotropia(CI-IXT).METHODS:Using a randomized,double-blind,prospective design,22 patients with CI-IXT who were admitted to Renmin Hospital of Wuhan University from July 2019 to December 2020 were *** were randomly divided into either S-BLR or C-BLR group for their subsequent strabismus *** patients were followed up for *** deviation,distant deviation,and neardistance difference(NDD)were measured in all ***:Twelve months after surgery,NDD improvement was 10(8,13)prismatic degrees(PD)in S-BLR group and 3(1,6)PD in C-BLR group(P=0.011).The near deviation of S-BLR group was 0(-2,2)PD,while that of C-BLR group was-4(-6,-3)PD(P=0.005).Before and after surgery,the difference in the distant deviation between the two groups was not statistically *** was no statistically significant difference in near stereopsis between the two groups(P=0.380)at *** success rate at 12mo after operation was 90.91%and 72.73%in the two groups(P=0.280).CONCLUSION:CI-IXT patients treated with S-BLR have better surgical outcomes than those treated with C-BLR,which indicates S-BLR is a safe and effective operation pattern.

New generation of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)integrating solar energy conversion and storage is emerging,as they could solve the fluctuation problem in the utilization of solar ***-rechargeable lithium-ion batteries(PR-LIBs)are ideal devices for such target,in which solar energy is converted into electricity and stored in *** order to achieve the high performance of PR-LIB,it is crucial to develop dual-function electrode materials that can synergistically capture solar energy and store ***,we present photo-rechargeable lithium-ion batteries using defective black TiO_(2) as photoanode prepared by lithium *** photoanode exhibits excellent photo response in full solar spectrum with a capacity enhancement of 46.4%under illumination,corresponding to the energy conversion efficiency of 4.4%at the current density of 1 A·g^(-1).When illumination is applied at 20 mA·g^(-1),the battery capacity increases from~230 in dark to~349 mAh·g^(-1) at the first cycle,and then stabilizes at 310 mAh·g^(-1),approaching the theoretical value of 335 mAh·g^(-1) of TiO_(2) electrode *** finding provides thoughts for breaking the capacity limitations in TiO_(2) and paves the way for powering LIBs by solar illumination.
