Nowadays,silicon has become a promising anode active material for lithium-ion batteries due to its high specific ***,traditional binder materials cannot effectively restrain the volume expansion of silicon during lithiation/*** by the growth process of climbing plants,we sequentially crosslink sodium alginate with calcium ions and hyperbranched polyethyleneimine to construct a dual crosslinked network *** the sequentially crosslinking,sodium alginate preferentially crosslinks with Ca^(2+)to form the"trellis"network,which restricts the free movement of hyperbranched polyethyleneimine and guides it,like"vine",to gradually anchor on the surrounding"trellis"through hydrogen and ionic *** this dual crosslinked network,the ionic ally crosslinked sodium alginate maintains the anode structural integrity;the anchored hyperbranched polyethyleneimine forms strong multidimensional hydrogen bonds with silicon nanoparticles through its amino-rich branch chains;and the network utilizes the bonding reversibility of hydrogen and ionic bonds to repeatedly eliminate the mechanical stress and self-heal the structure damages caused by the volume change of *** from the multifunction of the dual crosslinked network,the silicon anode has achieved an excellent electrochemical performance with a specific capacity of 2403 mAh·g^(-1)at the current density of500 mA·g^(-1)after 100 cycles.

BACKGROUND Oral-facial-digital syndrome type 1(OFD1) is a rare ciliopathy mainly with an Xlinked dominant pattern of inheritance, which is caused by mutations in the OFD1 gene. The OFD1 protein is located within the centrosomes and basal bodies of the primary cilia. It is reported that approximately 15%–50% cases of OFD1 progress to end-stage renal disease(ESRD) following development of polycystic kidney diseases(PKD). Here we report a pair of childhood male twins who presented only renal failure and PKD caused by an OFD1 mutation in *** SUMMARY A pair of 14-year male twins were hospitalized with a complaint of abnormal renal function for nine days. They both complained of ankle pain for 3 mo vs 2 wk, respectively. They denied fever, abdominal pain, daytime or nighttime enuresis, urgency, dysuria, or gross hematuria. Laboratory tests at a local hospital showed renal failure(serum creatinine 485 μmol/L vs 442 μmol/L, blood urea nitrogen 14.7 mol/L vs 14.5 mol/L) and anemia(hemoglobin 88 g/L vs 98 g/L).The twins are monozygotic. There was no abnormal birth, past medical, or family history. Clinical data were analyzed and genetic analysis on PKD was carried out in the twins by next-generation sequencing. The results showed that the twins presented low-molecular-weight proteinuria, hyposthenuria, anemia, renal failure, and renal polycystic changes. Genetic tests showed that the twins both carried a hemizygous mutation in exon 19 c.2524 G>A(p. G842 R) of the OFD1 gene. Their mother heterozygously carried the same mutation as the twins but was without any phenotypes while their father was *** We have reported a pair of childhood male twins with an OFD1 mutation who presented ESRD and PKD but without any other phenotypes of OFD1 in China.

This article analyzes the diversity order of several proposed schemes, where the transmit antenna selection （TAS） strategies are combined with low-complexity decode-and-forward （DF） protocols in the multiple-input multiple-output （MIMO） relaying scenario. Although antenna selection is a suboptimal form of beamforming, it enjoys the advantages of tractable optimization and low feedback overhead. Specifically, this article proposes schemes that combine TAS strategies with fixed decode-and-forward （FDF） and selection decode-and-forward （SDF） protocols. Following that, the asymptotic expressions of outage probabilities are derived and the diversity order of the proposed schemes analyzed. These kinds of combination of transmit antenna selection strategies and low-complexity decode-and-forward protocols can achieve partial diversity order in the MIMO relaying scenario. The numerical simulations verify the analysis.

Objective To study the effect of patient age, the number and quality of embryos transferred on pregnancy outcome in in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer procedures （IVF-ETs）. Methods A retrospective study was conducted with infertile women who underwent a total of 1 800 cycles of lVF-ET and intracytoplasmic sperm injection （ICSI） at the Reproductive Medicine Center of the Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical College from Jan. 2006 to Dec. 2007. The patients were divided into three groups based on age （year）. 〈30, 30-34 and 235. The rates of clinical pregnancy and multiple pregnancies were compared in each group when 1-3 embryos and 0-3 goodquality embryos were transferred respectively. Results 1） In the group of patients aged 〈30 years, there was no significant difference in pregnancy outcomes with 1-3 embryos transferred. However, pregnancy rates were similar when 2 3 good-quality embryos were transferred, which was significantly higher compared with 0-1 good-quality embryos transferred; the incidence of multiple pregnancies was not an issue when only 1 embryo was transferred. 2） The pregnancy rate of the patients aged 30 34 was not significant not only when only 2-3 embryos were transferred but also when 2-3 good-quality embryos were transferred, which was significant compared with when 1 embryo or 0 1 good-quality embryo was transferred. The subgroup of 3 good-quality embryos transferred, at the same time, was expected to significantly increase multiple pregnancy rate. 3） For the patients aged 235, there were similar pregnancy rates in the subgroup involving 1-3 embryos transferred. Compared with 0-2 good-quality embryos transferred, the pregnancy rate was significantly higher in the patients with 3 good-quality embryos transferred. An increased trend toward multiple pregnancies was observed among not only the subgroups with 1-3 embryos transferred, but also when 1-3 good-quality embryos were transferred, although it was significantly higher in patien

Background:Infections still represent the main factors influencing morbidity and mortality following liver *** study aimed to evaluate the incidence and risk factors for infection and survival after liver ***:We retrospectively examined medical records in 210 liver recipients who underwent liver transplantation between April 2015 and October 2017 in our *** manifestations and results of pathogen detection test were used to define *** analyzed the prevalence,risk factors and prognosis of patients with ***:The median follow-up was 214 days;the incidence of infection after liver transplantation was 46.7%(n=98)which included pneumonia(43.4%),biliary tract infection(21.9%),peritonitis(21.4%)and bloodstream infection(7.6%).Among the pathogens in pneumonia,the most frequently isolated was Acinetobacter baumanii(23.5%)and Klebsiella pneumoniae(21.2%).Model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)score(OR=1.083,95%CI:1.045–1.123;P<0.001),biliary complication(OR=4.725,95%CI:1.119–19.947;P=0.035)and duration of drainage tube(OR=1.040,95%CI:1.007–1.074;P=0.017)were independent risk factors for posttransplant ***-cause mortality was 11.0%(n=23).The prognostic factors for postoperative infection in liver recipients were prior-transplant infection,especially pneumonia within 2 weeks before ***-Meier curves of survival showed that recipients within 2 weeks prior infection had a significantly lower cumulative survival rate compared with those without infection(65.2%vs.90.0%;hazard ratio:4.480;P<0.001).Conclusions:Infection,especially pneumonia within 2 weeks before transplantation,complication with impaired renal function and MELD score after 7 days of transplantation was an independent prognostic factor for postoperative infection in liver transplant recipients.

AIM: To observe the effect of response-guided add-on therapy with adefovir(ADV) and lamivudine(LAM) in cirrhotic hepatitis B(CHB) ***: A total of 100 patients with CHB and cirrhosis were divided into three arms according to hepatitis B virus(HBV) DNA level after 24 wk LAM monotherapy: Arm A(complete response, HBV DNA ≤ 60 IU/m L, n = 49), Arm B(partial response, HBV DNA: 60-2000 IU/m L, n = 31) and Arm C(inadequate response, HBV DNA > 2000 IU/m L, n = 20). ADV was added to LAM at week 48 in Arms A and B, but at week 24 in Arm C. Virological response, YMDD mutations, biochemical response, and liver function were ***: Comparison of the three arms demonstrated that early complete virologic response at week 24was associated with maintained viral suppression(undetectable rate of HBV DNA at week 144 was 95.96%, 66.67% and 35.29%, respectively, P = 0.000) and reduced YMDD mutations(mutation rate at week 144 was 0%, 3.23% and 15%, respectively, P = 0.015) after 144 wk treatment. For patients who failed to achieve complete virological response at week 24, switching to combination therapy further decreased HBV DNA level by 1 log10 IU/m L. All three arms obtained biochemical benefits including decline of alanine aminotransferase and elevation of albumin. In patients who developed HBV DNA breakthrough for YMDD mutations, ADV add-on therapy did not induce further multiple drug resistance to LAM or ***: Optimized response-guided add-on therapy of ADV and LAM maintains long-term suppression of HBV DNA and improves liver function in CHB patients with compensated liver cirrhosis.

AIM: To compare the histological outcome of chronic hepatitis B(CHB) patients treated with entecavir(ETV) or lamivudine(LAM)-based ***: We conducted a retrospective analysis of data from 42 CHB patients with advanced fibrosis(baseline Ishak score ≥ 2) or cirrhosis who were treated with ETV or LAM-based therapy in Beilun People's Hospital, Ningbo between January 2005 and May 2012. The patients enrolled were more than 16 years of age and underwent a minimum of 12 mo of antiviral therapy. We collected data on the baselinecharacteristics of each patient and obtained paired liver biopsies pre- and post-treatment. The Knodell scoring system and Ishak fibrosis scores were used to evaluate each example. An improvement or worsening of necroinflammation was defined as ≥ 2-point change in the Knodell inflammatory score. The progression or regression of fibrosis was defined as ≥ 1-point change in the Ishak fibrosis score. The continuous variables were compared using t-test or Mann-Whitney test, and the binary variables were compared using χ2 test or Fisher's exact test. The results of paired liver biopsies were compared with a Wilcoxon signed rank ***: Nineteen patients were treated with ETV and 23 patients were treated with LAM therapy for a mean duration of 39 and 42 mo, respectively. After long-term antiviral treatment, 94.74%(18/19) of the patients in the ETV arm and 95.65%(22/23) in the LAM arm achieved an HBV DNA level less than 1000 IU/m L. The majority of the patients(94.74% in the ETV arm and 73.91% in the LAM arm) had normalized ALT levels. The median Knodell necroinflammatory score decreased from 11 to 0 in the patients receiving ETV, and the median Knodell score decreased from 9 to 3 in the patients receiving LAM(P = 0.0002 and < 0.0001, respectively). The median Ishak fibrosis score showed a 1-point reduction in ETV-treated patients and a 2-point reduction in LAM-treated patients(P = 0.0019 and 0.0205, respectively). The patients receiving ETV
