A novel fine inclusion removal technology was put forward with dispersed in-situ heterophases induced by the composite sphere explosive reaction. A composite sphere with this function was designed and prepared using a laboratory scale batch-type balling disc （at 12 r/min）, and the composite sphere was fed at the end of the RH refining process. The results indicate that inclusions in the IF molten steel can be removed effectively by feeding composite spheres in RH ladle. Compared with conventional inclusion removal technology, using this novel technology, the amount of oxide inclusions can be decreased to a lower level and the inclusion size becomes finer, the total oxygen content in the as-cast slab can approach 5×10？6, and the cost per ton of steel produced can be reduced by 5-12 Yuan RMB.

Through rolling experiments and interfacial tensile strength tests of cross-wedge rolled laminated shafts of 42CrMo/Q235 composites, the influence of process parameters, including forming angle, spreading angle, area reduction, rolling temperature and core material diameter on the interfacial shear strength was analyzed. The results show that the sequence of process parameters in order of greatest influence on interfacial tensile strength was rolling temperature, area reduction, core material diameter, forming angle and spreading angle. At the interface of the combined materials, tensile strength decreased as forming angle and spreading angle increased, whereas the tensile strength first increased and then decreased as area reduction, rolling temperature and core material diameter increased.

Leprosy is a chronic granulomatous infection caused by Mycobacterium leprae, which primarily affects the skin and peripheral nerves. In this article, we present a 45-year-old man and a 39-year-old women who suffered from asymptomatic irregular erythemas on their trunk and extremities. Since both patients denied the history of exposure to leprosy patients and were absent clinical signs of superficial sensation dysfunction and enlarged peripheral nerves, they were diagnosed of mycosis fungoides and livedo reticularis clinically. Nevertheless the biopsies of erythemas showed perineural and periadnexal foamy-cell granulomas in the dermis and Fite staining revealed a large number of acid-fast bacilli. A diagnosis of multibacillary leprosy was made finally. These cases revealed that since leprosy is still epidemic in some remote area in China and in other developing countries and its clinical manifestations may be very weird sometimes, the dermatologists should be alert of it and skin biopsy could confirm the diagnosis.

The relationship among heating rate, mechanical properties, microstructure and texture of Al-Mg-Si-Cu alloy during solution treatment was investigated through tensile test, scanning electron microscope, X-ray diffractometer and EBSD technology. The experimental results reveal that there is a non-monotonic relationship among solution heating rate, mechanical properties, microstructure and texture. As the solution heating rate increases, the strength variations are dependent on the tensile direction;work hardening exponent n decreases first, and then increases;plastic strain ratio r increases first, and then decreases, and finally increases. The final microstructure and texture are also affected by heating rate. As heating rate increases, the microstructure transforms from elongated grain structure to equiaxed grain structure, and the average grain size decreases first, and then increases, and decreases finally. Although the texture components including CubeND{001} and P{011} orientations almost have no change with the increase of heating rate, the texture intensity and volume fraction decrease first, and then increase, and finally decrease. Both microstructure and texture evolutions are weakly affected by heating rate. Improving heating rate is not always favorable for the development of fine equiaxed grain structure, weak texture and high average r value, which may be related to the recrystallization behavior.

To the editor： We report a 23-year-old Chinese man, who presented with a 2-month history of recurrent eruptions of asymptomatic, red, necrotic papules on his face and extremities. The skin lesions would regress spontaneously within several days, leaving atrophic scars. He had no systemic symptoms. A physical examination revealed many papules and nodules on his trunk and extremities （Figure I A）. Some papules had a necrotic center covered by black crusts. No lymphadenopathy was found.

Background： Lateral compartmental osteoarthritis （LCOA）, a major complication after medial mobile-bearing unicompartmental knee arthroplasty （UKA）, is highly associated with the increased stress of the lateral compartment. This study aimed to analyze the effects on the stress and load distribution of the lateral compartment induced by lower limb alignment and coronal inclination of the tibial component in UKA through a finite element analysis. Methods： Eight three-dimensional models were constructed based on a validated model for analyzing the biomechanical effects of implantation parameters on the lateral compartment after medial Oxford UKA： postoperative lower limb alignment of 3° valgus, neutral and 3° varus, and the inclination of tibial components placed in 4°, 2° valgus, square, and 2° and 4° varus. The contact stress of femoral and tibial cartilage and load distribution were calculated for all models. Results： In the 3° valgus lower limb alignment model, the contact stress of femoral （3.38 MPa） and tibial （3.50 MPa） cartilage as well as load percentage （45.78%） was highest compared to any other model, and was increased by 36.75%, 47.70%, and 27.63%, respectively when compared to 3° varus. In the condition of a neutral position, the outcome was comparable for the different tibial tray inclination models. The inclination did not greatly affect the lateral compartmental stress and load distribution. Conclusions： This study suggested that slightly varus （undercorrection） lower limb alignment might be a way to prevent LCOAin medial mobile-bearing UKA. However, the inclination （4° varus to 4° valgus） of the tibial component in the coronal plane would not be a risk factor for LCOA in neutral position.

An efficient quantum proactive incremental learning algorithm

In scenarios where a large amount of data needs to be learned, incremental learning can make full use of old knowledge, significantly reduce the computational cost of the overall learning process, and maintain high performance. In this paper, taking the MaxCut problem as our example, we introduce the idea of incremental learning into quantum computing, and propose a Quantum Proactive Incremental Learning algorithm(QPIL). Instead of a one-off training of quantum circuit, QPIL contains a multi-phase training on gradually-increased subgraphs of all vertices, proactively reducing large-scale problems to smaller ones to solve in steps, providing an efficient solution for MaxCut. Specifically, some vertices and corresponding edges are randomly selected for training to obtain optimized parameters of the quantum circuit at first. Then, in each incremental phase, the remaining vertices and corresponding edges are gradually added and the parameters obtained from the previous phase are reused in the parameter initialization of the current phase. We perform experiments on 120 different small-scale graphs, and it shows that QPIL performs superior to prevalent quantum and classical baselines in terms of approximation ratio(AR), time cost, anti-forgetting, and solving stability. In particular, QPIL's AR surpasses 20% of mainstream quantum baselines, and the time cost is less than 1/5 of them. The idea of QPIL is expected to inspire efficient and high-quality solutions in large-scale Max Cut and other combinatorial optimization problems.
