deAD-box helicase 17(DDX17)is a typical member of the deAD-box family with transcriptional cofactor *** DDX17 is abundantly expressed in the myocardium,its role in heart is not fully *** generated cardiomyocyte-specific Ddx17-knockout mice(Ddx17-cKO),cardiomyocyte-specific Ddx17 transgenic mice(Ddx17-Tg),and various models of cardiomyocyte injury and heart failure(HF).DDX17 is downregulated in the myocardium of mouse models of heart failure and cardiomyocyte ***-specific knockout of Ddx17 promotes autophagic flux blockage and cardiomyocyte apoptosis,leading to progressive cardiac dysfunction,maladaptive remodeling and progression to heart *** of DDX17 expression in cardiomyocytes protects cardiac function under pathological *** studies showed that DDX17 can bind to the transcriptional repressor B-cell lymphoma 6(BCL6)and inhibit the expression of dynamin-related protein 1(DRP1).When DDX17 expression is reduced,transcriptional repression of BCL6 is attenuated,leading to increased DRP1 expression and mitochondrial fission,which in turn leads to impaired mitochondrial homeostasis and heart *** also investigated the correlation of DDX17 expression with cardiac function and DRP1 expression in myocardial biopsy samples from patients with heart *** findings suggest that DDX17 protects cardiac function by promoting mitochondrial homeostasis through the BCL6-DRP1 pathway in heart failure.

Intestinal macrophages play crucial roles in both intestinal inflammation and immune homeostasis. They can adopt two distinct phenotypes, primarily determined by environmental cues. These phenotypes encompass the classically activated pro-inflammatory M1 phenotype, as well as the alternatively activated anti-inflammatory M2.phenotype. In regular conditions, intestinal macrophages serve to shield the gut from inflammatory harm. However, when a combination of genetic and environmental elements influences the polarization of these macrophages, it can result in an M1/M2.macrophage activation imbalance, subsequently leading to a loss of control over intestinal inflammation. This shift transforms normal inflammatory responses into pathological damage within the intestines. In patients with ulcerative colitis-associated colorectal cancer (UC-CRC), disorders related to intestinal inflammation are closely correlated with an imbalance in the polarization of intestinal M1/M2.macrophages. Therefore, reinstating the equilibrium in M1/M2.macrophage polarization could potentially serve as an effective approach to the prevention and treatment of UC-CRC. This paper aims to scrutinize the clinical evidence regarding Chinese medicine (CM) in the treatment of UC-CRC, the pivotal role of macrophage polarization in UC-CRC pathogenesis, and the potential mechanisms through which CM regulates macrophage polarization to address UC-CRC. Our objective is to offer fresh perspectives for clinical application, fundamental research, and pharmaceutical advancement in UC-CRC.

Facial beauty analysis is an important topic in human *** may be used as a guidance for face beautification applications such as cosmetic *** neural networks(DNNs)have recently been adopted for facial beauty analysis and have achieved remarkable ***,most existing DNN-based models regard facial beauty analysis as a normal classification *** ignore important prior knowledge in traditional machine learning models which illustrate the significant contribution of the geometric features in facial beauty *** be specific,landmarks of the whole face and facial organs are introduced to extract geometric features to make the *** by this,we introduce a novel dual-branch network for facial beauty analysis:one branch takes the Swin Transformer as the backbone to model the full face and global patterns,and another branch focuses on the masked facial organs with the residual network to model the local patterns of certain facial ***,the designed multi-scale feature fusion module can further facilitate our network to learn complementary semantic information between the two *** model optimisation,we propose a hybrid loss function,where especially geometric regulation is introduced by regressing the facial landmarks and it can force the extracted features to convey facial geometric *** performed on the SCUT-FBP5500 dataset and the SCUT-FBP dataset demonstrate that our model outperforms the state-of-the-art convolutional neural networks models,which proves the effectiveness of the proposed geometric regularisation and dual-branch structure with the hybrid *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first study to introduce a Vision Transformer into the facial beauty analysis task.

Spatial scale error is one of the most serious problems in the estimates of land surface heat fluxes of sensible and latent from satellite-borne data such as MODIS 1km resolution reflectance and emissive data. One of the feasible and economic ways to decrease the spatial scale error is to use high resolution land use class data together with the MODIS data. CBERS-02.data were used to produce land use class of Baiyangdian area, Hebei Province, china in the autumn of 2.04. The area ratio of each class in MODIS pixel was calculated, and used to derive the heat fluxes of the mixed pixel. The results showed that the estimated heat fluxes of soil, sensible and latent have been changed remarkably after using the high resolution land class data. It could be concluded from the comparison between simulated and ground-measured fluxes as well as the theoretical analysis that high resolution land class data are useful to diminishing the scale error of heat fluxes estimated from low resolution satellite data.

Unveiling the Re,Cr,and I diffusion in saturated compacted bentonite using machine-learning methods

The safety assessment of high-level radioactive waste repositories requires a high predictive accuracy for radionuclide diffusion and a comprehensive understanding of the diffusion *** this study,a through-diffusion method and six machine-learning methods were employed to investigate the diffusion of ReO_(4)^(−),HCrO_(4)^(−),and I−in saturated compacted bentonite under different salinities and compacted dry *** machine-learning models were trained using two *** dataset contained six input features and 2.3 instances obtained from the diffusion database system of the Japan Atomic Energy Agency(JAEA-DDB)and 15 *** other dataset,comprising 15,000 pseudo-instances,was produced using a multi-porosity model and contained eight input *** results indicate that the former dataset yielded a higher predictive accuracy than the *** gradient-boosting exhibited a higher prediction accuracy(R2.0.92.and lower error(MSE=0.01)than the other machine-learning *** addition,Shapley Additive Explanations,Feature Importance,and Partial dependence Plot analysis results indicate that the rock capacity factor and compacted dry density had the two most significant effects on predicting the effective diffusion coefficient,thereby offering valuable insights.
