Various mobile devices and applications are now used in daily *** devices require high-speed data processing,low energy consumption,low communication latency,and secure data transmission,especially in 5G and 6G mobile ***-security cryptography guarantees that essential data can be transmitted securely;however,it increases energy consumption and reduces data processing ***,this study proposes a low-energy data encryption(LEDE)algorithm based on the Advanced Encryption Standard(AES)for improving data transmission security and reducing the energy consumption of encryption in internet-of-Things(ioT)*** the proposed LEDE algorithm,the system time parameter is employed to create a dynamic S-Box to replace the static S-Box of *** indicated that six-round LEDE encryption achieves the same security level as 10-round conventional AES *** reduction in encryption time results in the LEDE algorithm having a 67.4%lower energy consumption and 43.9%shorter encryption time than conventional AES;thus,the proposed LEDE algorithm can improve the performance and the energy consumption of ioT edge devices.

Background Tuberous sclerosis complex(TSC)is an autosomal dominant genetic disorder with a birth incidence of i:6000 in the United States that is characterized by the growth of non-cancerous tumors in multiple organ systems including the brain,kidneys,lungs,and ***,TSCis also associated with signicant neurological manifestations including epilepsy TSC-associated neuropsychiatric disorders,intellectual disabilities,and autism spectrum *** in the TSCi or TSC2 genes are well-established causes of TSC,which lead to TSC1/TSC2 deficiency in organs and hyper-activation of the mammalian target of rapamycin signaling *** models have been widely used to study the effect of TSCl/2 genes on the development and function of the *** considerable progress in understanding the molecular mechanisms underlying TSC in animal models,a human-specific model is urgently needed to investigate the effects of TSCl/2 mutations that are unique to human *** sources Literature reviews and research articles were published in PubMed-indexed *** Human-induced pluripotent stem cells(iPSCs),which capture risk alleles that are identical to their donors and have the capacity to differentiate into virtually any cell type in the human body,pave the way for the empirical study of previously inaccessible biological systems such as the developing human *** in this review,we present an overview of the recent progress in modeling TSC with human iPSC models,the existing limitations,and potential directions for future research.

The accelerated method in solving optimization problems has always been an absorbing *** on the fixedtime(FxT)stability of nonlinear dynamical systems,we provide a unified approach for designing FxT gradient flows(FxTGFs).First,a general class of nonlinear functions in designing FxTGFs is provided.A unified method for designing first-order FxTGFs is shown under Polyak-Łjasiewicz inequality assumption,a weaker condition than strong *** there exist both bounded and vanishing disturbances in the gradient flow,a specific class of nonsmooth robust FxTGFs with disturbance rejection is *** the strict convexity assumption,Newton-based FxTGFs is given and further extended to solve time-varying ***,the proposed FxTGFs are further used for solving equation-constrained ***,an FxT proximal gradient flow with a wide range of parameters is provided for solving nonsmooth composite *** show the effectiveness of various FxTGFs,the static regret analyses for several typical FxTGFs are also provided in ***,the proposed FxTGFs are applied to solve two network problems,i.e.,the network consensus problem and solving a system linear equations,respectively,from the perspective of ***,by choosing component-wisely sign-preserving functions,these problems can be solved in a distributed way,which extends the existing *** accelerated convergence and robustness of the proposed FxTGFs are validated in several numerical examples stemming from practical applications.

BACKGROUND Pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC)has a poor prognosis,with a 5-year survival rate of less than 10%,owing to its late-stage *** detection of pancreatic cancer(PC)can significantly increase survival *** To identify the serum biomarker signatures associated with early-stage PDAC by serum N-glycan *** An extensive patient cohort was used to determine a biomarker signature,in-cluding patients with PDAC that was well-defined at an early stage(stages i and ii).The biomarker signature was derived from a case-control study using a case-cohort design consisting of 29 patients with stage i,22 with stage ii,4 with stage iii,16 with stage iV PDAC,and 88 *** used multiparametric analysis to identify early-stage PDAC N-glycan signatures and developed an N-glycan sig-nature-based diagnosis model called the“Glyco-model”.RESULTS The biomarker signature was created to discriminate samples derived from patients with PC from those of controls,with a receiver operating characteristic area under the curve of *** addition,the biomarker signature combined with cancer antigen 19-9 could discriminate patients with PDAC from controls,with a receiver operating characteristic area under the curve of ***-model demonstrated favorable diagnostic performance in all stages of *** diagnostic sensitivity for stage i PDAC was 89.66%.Core Tip:This study employed a patient cohort to investigate the N-glycan signature of early-stage pancreatic cancer(PC).Serum N-glycans analysis was conducted to identify the serum biomarker signature associated with early-stage pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma(PDAC),resulting in the identification of nine early-stage PDAC N-glycan ***,utilizing these biosignatures,a diagnostic model named the“Glyco-model”was developed,demonstrating promising diagnostic performance across all stages of *** study revealed that the diagnostic sensitivity for stage i PDAC was determined to be 89.66%.Co

Metallic lithium represents a promising anode candidate to be utilized in future high-energy lithium ***,the undesirable dendrite growth and fragile solid-electrolyte interphase(SEi)pose critical challenge for pursuing further practical *** contrast to traditional approaches of using inert/lithiophilicity coating,here,we demonstrate a reverse strategy of introducing a highly conductive and lithophobic carbon fabric(CF)scaffold on lithium foil to guide a favorable nucleation site of lithium far away from the anode/separator *** CF scaffold with high conductivity can couple with inner electric field for achieving a uniform distribution of the lithium-ion flux,while the lithophobic feature offers the condition to guide the preferred deposition of lithium onto the underlying lithium foil,which greatly reduces the risk of dendrite-induced short ***,the SEi immersed in the CF scaffold is well supported by CF fibers and therefore exhibits extremely high stability during charge–discharge *** a result,the lithium/CF anodes show>2,000-h stable cycling at 0.5 mA cm−*** metal batteries equipped with our lithium/CF anode deliver a high capacity retention of~99.99%per cycle,i.e.,retain~97.3%capacity after 200 *** unique interface-regulation strategy is versatile for various conductive scaffolds(e.g.,ultrathin and ultralight conductive fabrics),exhibiting high superiority for highly safe lithium metal batteries.

The biological effects of magnetic fields(MFs)have been a controversial ***,in recent years,there has been increasing evidence that MFs do affect biological ***,the physical mechanism remains ***,we show that MFs(16 T)reduce apoptosis in cell lines by inhibiting liquid–liquid phase separation(LLPS)of Tau-441,suggesting that the MF effect on LLPS may be one of the mechanisms for understanding the“mysterious”magnetobiological *** LLPS of Tau-441 occurred in the cytoplasm after induction with *** phase-separated droplets of Tau-441 recruited hexokinase(HK),resulting in a decrease in the amount of free HK in the *** cells,HK and Bax compete to bind to the voltage-dependent anion channel(VDAC i)on the mitochondrial membrane.A decrease in the number of free HK molecules increased the chance of Bax binding to VDAC i,leading to increased Bax-mediated *** the presence of a static MF,LLPS was marked inhibited and HK recruitment was reduced,resulting in an increased probability of HK binding to VDAC i and a decreased probability of Bax binding to VDAC i,thus reducing Bax-mediated *** findings revealed a new physical mechanism for understanding magnetobiological effects from the perspective of *** addition,these results show the potential applications of physical environments,such as MFs in this study,in the treatment of LLPS-related diseases.
