Spiropolymers have gained a great deal of interest from both academic and industrial fields by virtue of their unique geometric structures and physical ***,we prepared a series of spirocopolymers through the catalyst-free four-component spiropolymerization of diisocyanides,activated alkynes,and two different kinds of monomers with reactive carbonyl *** is found that the polymerization reactivity of monomers,feeding modes,and feed ratios play significant roles in *** with high reactivity and feeding reactive monomers first contribute to improving the molecular weights and yields of the *** constructed copolymers have two different kinds of spiro structures,which is confirmed by the nuclear magnetic *** addition,the spirocopolymers display the unique cluster-triggered emission and aggregation-induced emission properties,and their emission properties can be well-modulated by altering the ratio of *** is highly anticipated that this line of research will enrich the methodology of multi-component spiropolymerization,and provide a new insight into developing spiropolymers with various spiro structures and tunable properties.

Objectives:Hearing loss is a worldwide *** 50%of the patients,hearing loss is caused by genetic problems associated with GJB2,MTRNR1,SLC26A4,and other *** the recent development and cost reduction of whole-exome sequencing,it is possible to filter out the normal genes and find which among the more novel genes contributed to the loss of ***:After prescreening all individuals for GJB2,MTRNR1 and SLC26A4 mutations,whole-exome sequencing was performed in the proband,and the pathogenic variant was confirmed via Sanger ***:The compound-heterozygous variant namely c.8076G>C:p.E2692D and c.6362T>C:p.V2121A in OTOG was identified as a candidate gene of a consanguineous Kazakh ***:This is the first reported case of severe deafness caused by an OTOG compound-heterozygous variant in the world and the first case of deafness caused by an OTOG variant in *** discovery identified the important contribution of OTOG toward deafness and expanded the spectrum of variants responsible for human hearing loss.

In this paper,the diffusive nutrient-microorganism model subject to Neumann boundary conditions is *** Hopf bifurcations and steady state bifurcations which bifurcate from the positive constant equilibrium of the system are investigated in *** addition,the formulae to determine the direction of Hopf and steady state bifurcations are *** results show the existence of spatially homogeneous/nonhomogeneous periodic orbits and steady state solutions,which indicates the spatiotemporal dynamics of the *** numerical simulations are also presented to support the analytical results.

Temperature-sensitive Micelles as Artificial Chaperones for Insulin Protection

Insulin is an essential and versatile protein taking part in the control of blood glucose levels and protein ***,under prolonged storage or high temperature stress,insulin tends to unfold and aggregate into toxic amyloid fibrils,leading to loss of physiological *** by natural chaperones,a series of temperature-sensitive polycaprolactone-based micelles were designed to prevent insulin from *** micelles were fabricated through the self-assembly of amphiphilic copolymers of methoxy poly(ethylene glycol)-poly(4-diethylformamide caprolactone-co-caprolactone)(mPEG_(17)-P(DECL-co-CL)),which had a regular spherical morphology with particle sizes of about 100 *** addition,the lower critical solution temperature(LCST)of the micelles could be tuned to 9 and 29℃by changing the ratio of DECL to *** from the temperature-sensitivity of DECL segment,the binding ability of micelles to insulin could be modulated by changing the *** LCST,micelles effectively inhibited insulin aggregation and protected it from thermal inactivation due to the strong binding ability between the hydrophobic segment DECL and *** LCST,DECL segment returned to hydrophilic and bound weakly with insulin,leading to the release of insulin and assisting in its recovery of secondary ***,these temperature-sensitive micelles provided an effective strategy for insulin protection.

Dear Editor,This letter studies the bipartite consensus tracking problem for heterogeneous multi-agent systems with actuator faults and a leader's unknown time-varying control input. To handle such a problem, the continuous fault-tolerant control protocol via observer design is developed. In addition, it is strictly proved that the multi-agent system driven by the designed controllers can still achieve bipartite consensus tracking after faults occur.

Thermoelectric Modulation of Neat Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXenes by Finely Regulating the Stacking of Nanosheets

Emerging two-dimensional MXenes have been extensively studied in a wide range of fields thanks to their superior electrical and hydrophilic attributes as well as excellent chemical stability and mechanical *** them,the ultrahigh electrical conductivity(σ)and tunable band structures of benchmark Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene demonstrate its good potential as thermoelectric(TE)***,both the large variation ofσreported in the literature and the intrinsically low Seebeck coefficient(S)hinder the practical ***,this study has for the first time systematically investigated the TE properties of neat Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) films,which are finely modulated by exploiting different dispersing solvents,controlling nanosheet sizes and constructing ***,deionized water is found to be superior for obtaining closely packed MXene sheets relative to other polar ***,a simultaneous increase in both S andσis realized via elevating centrifugal speed on MXene aqueous suspensions to obtain small-sized nanosheets,thus yielding an ultrahigh power factor up to~156μW m^(-1) K^(-2).Third,S is significantly enhanced yet accompanied by a reduction inσwhen constructing MXene-based nanocomposites,the latter of which is originated from the damage to the intimate stackings of MXene ***,a correlation between the TE properties of neat Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) films and the stacking of nanosheets is elucidated,which would stimulate further exploration of MXene TEs.

Catalytic production of high-energy-density spiro polycyclic jet fuel with biomass derivatives

High-energy-density（HED） fuel（*** used JP-10 and RJ-4）,featuring compact 3D polycyclic structure with high strain,is of critical importance for volume-limited military aircraft,since their high density and combustion heat can provide more propulsion *** reduce the reliance on petroleum source,it is highly desirable to develop renewable alternatives for the production of strained polycyclic HED fuel,but which remains a big challenge because of the inaccessibility caused by the high strain,We herein demonstrate a three-step catalytic route towards highly strained C17and C18spirofuel with biomass *** process includes catalytic aldol condensation of renewable cyclohexanone/cyclopentanone with benzaldehyde,catalytic spiro Diels-Alder（D-A） reaction of aldol adduct with isoprene,and catalytic *** key spiro D-A reaction is enabled by the catalysis of heterogeneous Lewis acidic ionic *** chloroaluminate IL,formed by benign urea and AICl3,exhibits good catalytic performance and reusability for this *** eventual hydrodeoxygenation（HDO）over Pd/C and H-Y produces strained tricyclic spirofuel with density>0.93 g/mL,combustion heat>41 MJ/L and freezing point <-40℃,which are better than the properties of tactical fuel ***,it is anticipated that the as-prepared renewable fuels have the potential to replace traditional petroleum-derived HED fuels.

Heavy metal stress strengthens the stability and complexity of microbial molecular ecological networks in Sanyang wetland sediments

Pollution from heavy metals(HMs)(Cd,As,Cr,and Ni,etc.)has become a serious environmental issue in urban wetland ecosystems with more and more *** studies conducted in agricultural soils,rivers,and lakes demonstrated that microbial communities exhibit a response to HM ***,little is known about the response of microbial communities to HM pollution in urban wetland *** examined how heavy metals affect the stability of the microbial networks in the sediments of Sanyang wetland,wenzhou,*** environmental parameters,including HMs,TC(total carbon),TN(total nitrogen),TP(total phosphorus),S,and pH,varied profoundly between moderately and heavily polluted areas in shaping microbial ***,the microbial community composition in moderately polluted sites correlated significantly(P<0.05)with Ni,Cu,Cd and TP,whereas in heavily polluted sites,they correlated significantly with Cd,TN,TP,and *** show that the heavily polluted sites demonstrated more intricate and more stable microbial networks than those of the moderately polluted *** heavily polluted sites exhibited higher values for various network parameters including total nodes,total links,average degree,average clustering coefficient,connectance,relative modularity,robustness,and ***,the structural equation modeling analysis demonstrated a positive correlation between the stability of microbial networks and Cd,TN,TP,and S in heavily polluted ***,in moderately polluted sites,the correlation was positively linked to Cd,Ni,and sediment *** implies that Cd could potentially play a crucial role in affecting the stability of microbial *** study shall enhance our comprehension of microbial co-occurrence patterns in urban wetland ecosystems and offer insights into the ways in which microbial communities respond to environmental factors in varying levels of HM pollution.
