In this article,we evaluate the findings of the study by Qian et al,which explores the efficacy of combining hyperthermia with opioid therapy for enhanced cancer pain management in patients with middle and late-stage gastrointestinal *** study undertakes a retrospective analysis comparing traditional opioid therapy to an integrated approach of hyperthermia and opioids across 70 patients,highlighting significant benefits in pain control,reduction of opioid dosage,and minimization of adverse *** our article,we not only discuss these fin-dings but also emphasize the broader implications for clinical practice,parti-cularly in enhancing patient outcomes through innovative pain management *** advocate for further research to establish more robust data su-pporting this approach and to explore the mechanistic insights that enable these *** discussion reflects on the potential paradigm shift in managing debilitating cancer-related pain,urging a reevaluation of current practices to incorporate these findings effectively.

This paper presents an estimation of transient stability regions for large-scale power *** Part I,a Koopman operator based model reduction(KOMR)method is proposed to derive a low-order dynamical model with reasonable accuracy for transient stability analysis of large-scale power *** traditional reduction methods based on linearized models,the proposed method does not require linearization,but captures dominant modes of the original nonlinear dynamics by employing a Koopman operator defined in an infinite-dimensional observable *** with the Galerkin projection,the obtained dominant Koopman eigenvalues and modes produce a reduced-order nonlinear *** approximate the Koopman operator with sufficient accuracy,we introduce a Polynomial-based Multi-trajectory Kernel Dynamic Mode Decomposition(PMK-DMD)algorithm,which outperforms traditional DMD in various *** the end,the proposed method is applied to the IEEE 10-machine-39-bus power system and IEEE 16-machine-68-bus power system,which demonstrates that our method is significantly superior to the modal analysis method in both qualitative and quantitative aspects.

Part II of this paper presents a reduced-order stability region (ROSR) based method to estimate the full-order stability region (FOSR) of a large-scale power system. First, we introduce the definitions of FOSR and ROSR, followed by a comprehensive theory that reveals the relationships between them. Since the full-order system can be rewritten as a standard two timescale model and the reduced-order system is regarded as the slow subsystem of it, the proposed theory is derived based on the idea of singular perturbation. With rigorous mathematical proof, the properties of FOSR and ROSR are revealed. Moreover, a modified Energy Augmented Dynamic (EAD) algorithm and a constrained equidistant projection (CEP) approach are employed to estimate the ROSR and FOSR, respectively. The modified EAD algorithm and CEP form a so-called reduced-order stability region mapping (ROSRM) method. Finally, the proposed ROSRM method is applied to the IEEE 10-machine-39-bus power system, and simulation studies confirm its superiority to the traditional energy function method in terms of computational speed and reliability of results.

In the era of time-domain,multi-messenger astronomy,the detection of transient events on the high-energy electromagnetic sky has become more important than *** gravitational wave high-energy electromagnetic counterpart all-sky monitor(GECAM)is a dedicated mission to monitor gamma-ray transients,launched in December,2020.A real-time on-board trigger and location software,using the traditional signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)method for blind search,is constrained to relatively bright signals due to the limitations in on-board computing resources and the need for real-time *** this work,we developed a ground-based pipeline for GECAM to search for various transients,especially for weak bursts missed by on-board *** pipeline includes both automatic and manual mode,offering options for blind search and targeted *** targeted search is specifically designed to search for interesting weak bursts,such as gravitational wave-associated gamma-ray bursts(GRBs).From the ground search of the data in the first year,GECAM has been triggered by 54 GRBs and other transients,including soft gamma-ray repeaters,X-ray binaries,solar flares,terrestrial gamma-ray *** report the properties of each type of triggers,such as trigger time and light *** this search pipeline and assuming a soft Band spectrum,the GRB detection sensitivity of GECAM is increased to about 1.1×10^(-8)erg cm^(-2)s^(-1)(10-1000 ke V,burst duration of 20 s).These results demonstrate that the GECAM ground search system(both blind search and targeted search)is a versatile pipeline to recover true astrophysical signals which were too weak to be found in the on-board search.

东莞运河在莞城段上游采用一级强化处理,处理后尾水排入下游莞城段运河,由于尾水中仍然存在污染物和还原性物质以及河流底泥的好氧作用,需要对该段河流进一步维护复氧。着重探讨了东莞城段运河维护复氧方式、需氧量计算模型、复氧设备的布置形式等,计算得出经曝气的河流末段还原物氧浓度下降了2.492 mg/L、BOD5浓度下降了1.217mg/L、NH3+-H浓度下降了0.322mg/L。

Double carbohelicenes have attracted considerable attention due to their aesthetic structures,distinctπ-conjugation extension,inherent chirality,and intriguing optical and electronic ***,the concise de novo synthesis of a new double[5]carbohelicene 1 together with its chiroptical properties,isomerization process and lasing application is presented.1 was synthesized by a simple protocol involving the formation of a 6,6′-bipentacene as the key *** is worth noting that1 existed as two diastereomers 1-PP/MM and 1-PM,which were successfully isolated and unambiguously confirmed by Xray *** optical resolution of the racemic 1-PP/MM was successfully achieved by chiral-phase highperformance liquid chromatography(HPLC),and 1-PP and 1-MM were characterized by circular ***,it was found that 1-PP/MM could be completely isomerized to 1-PM upon heating,and the detailed thermodynamics and kinetics of the isomerization process were systematically investigated.1-PM exhibited deep-red luminescence with emission maximum at 723 nm and fluorescence quantum yield as high as 32.95%.Consequently,we can showcase the lasing application of 1-PM by doping with epoxy resin to assemble a bottle microlaser spontaneously,which the lasing wavelength is 796.6 nm at a threshold of 0.8 m J cm^(-2).We believe that our studies,including the facile synthesis methodology,detailed isomerization studies,and lasing application,will shed some light on the design and synthesis of novel carbohelical systems with more functions.

The discovery of superconductivity with Tcabove 77 K in pressurized La3Ni2O7has stimulated enormous interest in the field of unconventional superconductivity.A recent experiment in La2PrNi2O7has shown that the superconducting volume is close to100%.Because the superconductivity can only be achieved under high pressures,many intrinsic properties,such as the superconducting gaps,have not been measured *** report the Andreev reflection measurement of pressurized La3Ni2O7with the onset superconducting transition temperature at about 77 *** data reveal a clear peak of differential conductivity near zero bias in the tunneling spectrum;and appear also are some temperature-dependent steps that may reflect other superconducting *** based on the Blonder-Tinkham-Klapwijk model with multiple components can roughly fit the data,and the central peak can be fitted with a d-wave gap with a magnitude of about 9 meV,and other two s-wave gaps at about 16 and 26 *** latter two large gaps are determined from the enhanced steps of the differential conductivity,which may have other *** results reveal possible evidence of a sign-reversal gap and multi-component features of the superconducting gaps in the nickelate 327 systems.

The stability of matrix graphite under neutron irradiation and in corrosive environments is crucial for the safe operation of molten salt reactors(MSRs).Raman spectroscopy and a slow positron beam were employed to investigate the effects of He ion irradiation fluences and subsequent annealing on the microstructure and defects of the matrix *** ions with 500 keV energy and fluences ranging from 1.1×10^(15)ions∕cm^(2)to 3.5×10^(17)ions∕cm^(2)were used to simulate neutron irradiation at 300 *** samples with an irradiation fluence of 3.5×10^(16)ions∕cm^(2)were subjected to isochronal annealing at different temperatures(573 K,873 K and 1173 K)for 3 *** Raman results revealed that the D peak gradually increased,whereas the intrinsic G peak decreased with increasing irradiation *** the same irradiation fluence,the D peak gradually decreased,whereas the intrinsic G peak increased with increasing annealing *** positron beam analysis demonstrated that the density or size of irradiation defects(vacancy type)increased with higher irradiation fluence,but decreased rapidly with increasing annealing *** Raman spectral analysis of sample cross sections subjected to high irradiation fluences revealed the emergence of amorphization precisely at the depth where ion damage was most pronounced,whereas the surface retained its crystalline *** and positron annihilation analyses indicated that the matrix graphite exhibited good irradiation resistance to He ions at 300 ***,vacancy-type defects induced by He ion irradiation exhibit poor thermal stability and can be easily removed during annealing.

该研究采用小鼠脑组织代谢组学整合网络药理学探究加味芎归汤治疗阿尔茨海默病(Alzheimer's disease,AD)的作用机制。选择6月龄的APP/PS1小鼠进行实验,分为APP/PS1组和加味芎归汤干预组,以同月龄的C57BL/6小鼠作为对照,观察小鼠的认知能力以及病理损伤;运用GC-MS/MS技术分析小鼠脑组织的代谢谱,筛选差异代谢物并富集相关代谢通路;采用网络药理学方法筛选加味芎归汤活性成分,构建其治疗AD的核心靶点的蛋白-蛋白相互作用网络并对加味芎归汤潜在治疗AD靶点进行基因本体论(Gene Ontology,GO)和京都基因与基因组百科全书(Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes,KEGG)富集分析;最后构建“代谢物-反应-酶-基因”网络进行代谢组学与网络药理学联合分析。结果显示加味芎归汤对小鼠脑组织中参与乙醛酸和二羧酸代谢,甘氨酸、丝氨酸和苏氨酸代谢,丙酮酸代谢,丙氨酸、天冬氨酸和谷氨酸代谢和三羧酸循环等(tricarboxylic acid cycle,TCA)15条代谢通路的18个差异代谢物有显著回调趋势;加味芎归汤的383个核心靶点参与了磷脂酰肌醇3-激酶(phosphoinositide 3-kinase,PI3K)/蛋白激酶B(protein kinase B,Akt)信号通路、钙离子信号通路等。整体分析显示能量代谢、氨基酸代谢和脂肪酸代谢是加味芎归汤治疗AD的关键代谢途径。结果表明,加味芎归汤可通过改善小鼠脑组织代谢保护神经细胞,进而发挥改善认知障碍的作用。

The production of ultra-low sulfur clean fuels holds global significance for improving energy efficiency and reducing environmental pollution. Photocatalytic aerobic oxidative desulfurization（PODS） offers an attractive approach to efficiently remove refractory heterocyclic aromatic sulfur compounds under mild conditions. However, the sluggish charge dynamics,insufficient molecule activation, and slow mass transfer within photocatalysts restrict the overall desulfurization efficiency,hindering the widespread application of this technology. Herein, we developed a defective g-C3N4（M1U3CN） photocatalyst with bridged N3Cvacancies and hierarchical porous structures to address these limitations. This catalyst not only demonstrates outstanding dibenzothiophene（DBT） removal efficiency of 99.6% for model oil with high conversion and selectivity but also achieves complete sulfur removal from gasoline as well as 96.7% sulfur removal for distilled diesel at room temperature,successfully achieving ultradeep aerobic oxidative desulfurization. The introduction of rich N3Cvacancies and abundant micromeso-macroporous distribution in M1U3CN enhances kinetic efficiencies by promoting charge carrier separation, mass transfer,and molecular activation simultaneously; resulting in exceptional PODS performance. This work provides a collaborative strategy to overcome kinetic challenges in aerobic oxidative desulfurization via defect and structural engineering of the catalyst.
