Tectonic Boundary and Ceasing Time of Amalgamation between the North China Craton and the North Qinling Belt

The Qinling orogenic belt is a composite orogen, consisting of the north and south Qinling belts with different collision ages. The North Qinling belt is composed of several petro-tectonic units, including the Kuanping, Erlangping, Qinling and Danfeng groups with numerous granitoid plutons from Neoproterzoic to Middle Devonian. To the north of the Kuanping Group, a mylonitized granite body in the Luanchuan Group was determined to have the magmatic age of 850 Ma, which is the northernmost Neoprotozoic granite body. The volcanic rocks of the Dahongkou Formation from the Luanchuan Group had the eruptive age of -1 600 Ma, obtained from zircon U-Pb LA-ICP-MS analysis. The detrital zircons in meta-sandstones from the Taowan Group have three populations of-920-1 400, -1 600-2 100, and 〉2 200 Ma ages, whereas those from the Kuanping Group shows six populations with the peaks of -590, -767, -952, -1 590, -2 485, and -3 200 Ma. These data suggest that the boundary between the North China Craton and the North Qinling belt cannot simply be constrained by using the events determined from zircon U-Pb ages. The granitoid plutons with the magmatic age of 430 Ma were strongly deformed, while those with the magmatic age of -390 Ma show no or less deformation, indicating that the deformation of amalgamation between the North China Craton and the North Qinling belt ceased between 390 and 430 Ma.

Optical tomography system based on modified simultaneous iterative reconstruction technique is designed to real-time monitor spatial distribution and diffusion process of smoke plume in a power plant. Concentration profiles, rather than just a point value, of smoke plume concentrations are the goal of this method, and the tomography algorithm is analyzed. According to incomplete projection data in the process of reconstruction and exiting noise interference, the modified simultaneous iterative reconstruction technique (SIRT) is adopted to extract the information of the trace gas concentration by a fan beam scanning and is compared to the conventional SIRT. Three evaluation indexes show that the reconstruction effect is the best by choosing proper relaxation factor, which reduces the index d to 0.044 from 0.435 and reduces the index r to 0.044 from 0.376 for 5500 iterations. Hence, the modified algorithm performs better in estimating the shape of the plume, this method is used to process the measured spectra in field campaign, the reconstruction results and the measured data are basically consistent, which is further confirmed by the experimental results.

We investigate the topological excitations of rotating spin-1 ferromagnetic Bose–Einstein condensates with spin–orbit coupling(SOC)in an in-plane quadrupole *** a system sustains a rich variety of exotic vortex structures due to the spinor order parameter and the interplay among in-plane quadrupole field,SOC,rotation,and interatomic *** the nonrotating case,with the increase of the quadrupole field strength,the system experiences a transition from a coreless polar-core vortex with a bright soliton to a singular polar-core vortex with a density *** rotation but with a fixed quadrupole field,when the SOC strength increases,the system transforms from a central Mermin–Ho vortex into a criss-crossed vortex–antivortex string *** the rotating case,we give a phase diagram with respect to the quadrupole field strength and the SOC *** is shown that the rotating system supports four typical quantum phases:vortex necklace,diagonal vortex chain cluster,single diagonal vortex chain,and few vortex ***,the system favors novel spin textures and skyrmion excitations including an antiskyrmion,a criss-crossed half-skyrmion–half-antiskyrmion lattice,a skyrmion-meron necklace,a symmetric half-skyrmion lattice,and an asymmetric skyrmionmeron lattice.

In patients with Alzheimer’s disease,gamma-glutamyl transferase 5(GGT5)expression has been observed to be downregulated in cerebrovascular endothelial ***,the functional role of GGT5 in the development of Alzheimer’s disease remains *** study aimed to explore the effect of GGT5 on cognitive function and brain pathology in an APP/PS1 mouse model of Alzheimer’s disease,as well as the underlying *** observed a significant reduction in GGT5 expression in two in vitro models of Alzheimer’s disease(Aβ_(1-42)-treated hCMEC/D3 and bEnd.3 cells),as well as in the APP/PS1 mouse ***,injection of APP/PS1 mice with an adeno-associated virus encoding GGT5 enhanced hippocampal synaptic plasticity and mitigated cognitive ***,increasing GGT5 expression in cerebrovascular endothelial cells reduced levels of both soluble and insoluble amyloid-βin the brains of APP/PS1 *** effect may be attributable to inhibition of the expression ofβ-site APP cleaving enzyme 1,which is mediated by nuclear factor-kappa *** findings demonstrate that GGT5 expression in cerebrovascular endothelial cells is inversely associated with Alzheimer’s disease pathogenesis,and that GGT5 upregulation mitigates cognitive deficits in APP/PS1 *** findings suggest that GGT5 expression in cerebrovascular endothelial cells is a potential therapeutic target and biomarker for Alzheimer’s disease.

Modulating reversible isomerization of hydrophobic dyes in aqueous solutions is greatly desired. Here we report on reversible isomerization of solvatochromic donor-acceptor Stenhouse adducts(DASAs) in water through the confinement from dendritic oligoethylene glycols(OEGs). Dendronization of DASAs with dendritic OEGs affords them characteristic thermoresponsiveness. These dendronized DASAs spontaneously isomerize in water from hydrophobic linear state into hydrophilic cyclic state at room temperature due to the strong hydration. However, hydrophobic microenvironment through thermally dehydration and collapse of the dendritic OEGs at elevated temperatures confines hydration of the DASA moieties and mediates their interactions with the collapsed hydrophobic OEG domains, affording their isomerization recovery in water efficiently from the hydrophilic cyclic state into the hydrophobic linear state. The confinement-mediated reversible isomerization of DASA moieties in water can be repeated through alternative photo-irradiation and thermal dehydrations, exhibiting excellent fatigue resistance.

A Novel Hotfix Scheme for System Vulnerability Based on the Android Application Layer

At present, fixing Android system vulnerabilities relies on official Android support and various equipment manufacturers, and it is mainly implemented by system upgrades. This situation causes many problems, such as high costs and delayed fixing of vulnerabilities. This study is performed to design a novel fixing policy construction model targeting Android system vulnerabilities, which can be used for vulnerability feature quantification and fixing policy customization. On this basis, a novel security vulnerability solution called DroidHFix is proposed and implemented. This solution constructs security policies and loads security policy files during the risky application startup. The system helps to fix Android system vulnerabilities dynamically and defend against attacks on the risky application depending on system vulnerability exploitation. Experimental results show that DroidHFix fixes the Android system vulnerabilities effectively, with good performance and compatibility.

In this study,a refined numerical model for segmental lining of a shield tunnel,which contains detailed models of reinforcement and connecting bolts,is established using finite element *** model is first validated by the results from a full-scale model ***,based on the load-structure method,this numerical model is adopted to investigate the internal force distribution and the transverse deformation characteristics of the shield tunnel when it is subject to local soil *** influence of loosening position,loosening range,and loosening extent on the mechanical response is extensively studied through comprehensive numerical *** results show that the main influence of local soil loosening on the ring is to disturb the force balance and change the constraint conditions,thus changing the deformation pattern and force *** the loosening occurs,the bending moment of the ring in the loosening range increases and the axial force *** vertical convergence of the ring is the largest and the equivalent stiffness of the ring is the smallest when the local soil loosened at the haunch and the loosening range a is 90°.The vertical convergence of the ring increases with increasing of the loosening extent,and the equivalent stiffness decreases linearly with increasing of the loosening *** results can enhance our understanding of mechanical behaviors of segmental lining associated soil loosening,and will show a possible way for detecting soil loosening based on the measured deformation and internal forces.

Sodium hypochlorite(NaClO)is a commonly applied cleaning agent for ultrafiltration membranes in water and wastewater ***-term exposure to NaClO might change the properties and performance of polymeric membranes,and ultimately shorten membrane *** species in NaClO solution vary with solution pH,and the aging effects can change depending on the membrane *** this study,the aging of polyvinylidene fluoride(PVDF)and polyethersulfone(PES)membranes by NaClO at pH 3–11 was investigated by examining variations in chemical composition,surface charge,surface morphology,mechanical strength,permeability,and retention *** pyrrolidone(PVP),which was blended in both membranes,was oxidized and dislodged due to NaClO aging at all investigated pH values,but the oxidation products and dislodgement ratio of PVP varied with solution *** the PVDF membrane,NaClO aging at pH 3–11 caused a moderate increase in permeability and decreased retention due to the oxidation and release of *** tensile strength decreased only at pH 11 because of the defluorination of PVDF *** the PES membrane,NaClO aging at all investigated pH resulted in chain scission of PES molecules,which was favored at pH 7 and 9,potentially due to the formation of free ***,a decrease in tensile strength and retention ability,as well as an increase in permeability,occurred in the PES membrane for NaClO aging at pH 3–***,the results can provide a basis for selecting chemical cleaning conditions for PVDF and PES membranes.

The outstanding mechanical properties of nanocarbon materials, especially carbon nanotube（CNT）, make them one of the most promising reinforcing nanofillers for the high-performance lightweight structural material. However, the complicated but not eco-friendly surface functionalization processes（e.g. HNO3 oxidation） are generally necessary to help disperse nanocarbon materials into epoxy or build chemical bonds between them. Herein, nitrogen doped carbon nanotube（NCNT） was used to replace CNT to reinforce the epoxy resin, and the mechanical properties of the NCNT/epoxy nanocomposite showed significant superiorities over the CNT/epoxy nanocomposites. The fabrication process was simple and environmentally friendly, and avoided complicated, polluting and energy intensive surface functionalization processes. Moreover, the NCNT/epoxy suspension exhibited a relative low viscosity, which was favorable for the subsequent application. The reinforcing mechanism of NCNT was also proposed. The present work gives out an easy solution to the preparation of a high-performance nanocomposite as a potential lightweight structure material.
