We are very glad to see that the Asian Journal of Andrology published a Special Issue on Semen Analysis in 21st Century Medicine, which well revealed some behind-the-scene controversies of the 5th edition of the WHO laboratory manual for the examination and processing of human semen [1]. Three articles from the special issue, two on the reference values of semen parameters [2, 3] and another presenting the investigation results of 118 laboratories performing semen analysis in China's Mainland [4], are very thoughtprovoking and we would like to share some of our views on these topics.

We combined data from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey(SDSS) and the Arecibo Legacy Fast ALFA Survey(ALFALFA) to establish the HI mass vs. stellar mass and halo mass scaling relations using an abundance matching method that is free of the Malmquist bias. To enable abundance matching, a cross-match between the SDSS DR7 galaxy group sample and the ALFALFA HI sources provides a catalog of 16520 HI-galaxy pairs within 14270 galaxy groups(halos). By applying the observational completeness reductions for both optical and HI observations, we used the remaining 8180 ALFALFA matched sources to construct the model constraints. Taking into account the dependence of HI mass on both the galaxy and group properties, we establish two sets of scaling relations: one with a combination of stellar mass,(g-r) color and halo mass, and the other with stellar mass,specific star-formation rate(sSFR), and halo mass. We demonstrate that our models can reproduce the HI mass component as both stellar mass and halo mass. Additional tests showed that the conditional HI mass distributions as a function of the cosmic web type and the satellite fractions were well recovered.

BACKGROUND Gastrointestinal stromal tumors(GISTs)are the most common mesenchymal tumors of the gastrointestinal(GI)tract,and cases of GISTs tend to be of the disseminated type,with a global incidence of 10 to 15 cases/million each *** rarer familial GISTs,which often represent a population,differ in screening,diagnosis,and *** GISTs include primary familial GISTs with predominantly KIT/PDGFRA mutations and wild-type ***,whether the same genetic family has different phenotypes has not been *** SUMMARY We report two cases of rare GISTs in the same family:A male patient with the V561D mutation in exon 12 of the PDGFRA gene,who has been taking the targeted drug imatinib since undergoing surgery,and a female patient diagnosed with wild-type GIST,who has been taking imatinib for 3 years since undergoing *** favorable prognosis of these patients during the 7-year follow-up period validates the accuracy of our treatment strategy,and we have refined the entire process of diagnosis and treatment of familial GISTs in order to better manage this rare familial *** Different mutation types of familial GISTs in the same family are very rare,thus it is very important to make the correct diagnosis and treatment strategies according to the results of molecular detection for the management of familial GISTs.

TSCompiler: efficient compilation framework for dynamic-shape models

Today's deep learning models face an increasing demand to handle dynamic shape tensors and computation whose shape information remains unknown at compile time and varies in a nearly infinite range at runtime. This shape dynamism brings tremendous challenges for existing compilation pipelines designed for static models which optimize tensor programs relying on exact shape values. This paper presents TSCompiler, an end-to-end compilation framework for dynamic shape models. TSCompiler first proposes a symbolic shape propagation algorithm to recover symbolic shape information at compile time to enable subsequent optimizations. TSCompiler then partitions the shape-annotated computation graph into multiple subgraphs and fine-tunes the backbone operators from the subgraph within a hardware-aligned search space to find a collection of high-performance schedules. TSCompiler can propagate the explored backbone schedule to other fusion groups within the same subgraph to generate a set of parameterized tensor programs for fused cases based on dependence analysis. At runtime, TSCompiler utilizes an occupancy-targeted cost model to select from pre-compiled tensor programs for varied tensor shapes. Extensive evaluations show that TSCompiler can achieve state-of-the-art speedups for dynamic shape models. For example, we can improve kernel efficiency by up to 3.97× on NVIDIA RTX3090, and 10.30× on NVIDIA A100 and achieve up to five orders of magnitude speedups on end-to-end latency.
