Multi-Scale Pore Structure Heterogeneity in Tuff Reservoirs Investigated with Multi-Experimental Method and Fractal Dimensions in Chang 7 Formation,Southern Ordos Basin

The tight tuff reservoir is an unusual type of unconventional reservoir with strong ***,there is a lack of research on the microscopic pore structure that causes the heterogeneity of tuff *** the Chang 7 Formation in Ordos Basin,china as a case study,carbon-dioxide gas adsorption,nitrogen gas adsorption and high-pressure mercury injection are integrated to investigate the multi-scale pore structure characteristics of tuff ***,the fractal dimension is introduced to characterize the complexity of pore structure in tuff *** this multi-experimental method,the quantitative characterizations of the full-range pore size distribution of four tuff types were obtained and compared in the size ranges of micropores,mesopores and *** dimension curves derived from full-range pores are divided into six segments as D1,D2,D3,D4,D5 and D6 corresponding to fractal characteristics of micropores,smaller mesopores,larger mesopores,smaller macropores,medium macropores and larger macropores,*** macropore volume,average macropore radius and fractal dimension D5 significantly control petrophysical *** larger macropore volume,average macropore radius and D5 correspond to favorable pore structure and good reservoir quality,which provides new indexes for the tuff reservoir *** study enriches the understanding of the heterogeneity of pore structures and contributes to unconventional oil and gas exploration and development.

Establishment and evaluation of a prognostic model for patients with unresectable gastric cancer liver metastases

BACKGROUND Liver metastases(LM)is the primary factor contributing to unfavorable outcomes in patients diagnosed with gastric cancer(GC).The objective of this study is to analyze significant prognostic risk factors for patients with GCLM and develop a reliable nomogram model that can accurately predict individualized prognosis,thereby enhancing the ability to evaluate patient *** To analyze prognostic risk factors for GCLM and develop a reliable nomogram model to accurately predict individualized prognosis,thereby enhancing patient outcome *** Retrospective analysis was conducted on clinical data pertaining to GCLM(type III),admitted to the Department of General Surgery across multiple centers of the chinese PLA General Hospital from January 2010 to January *** dataset was divided into a development cohort and validation cohort in a ratio of 2:*** the development cohort,we utilized univariate and multivariate Cox regression analyses to identify independent risk factors associated with overall survival in GCLM ***,we established a prediction model based on these findings and evaluated its performance using receiver operator characteristic curve analysis,calibration curves,and clinical decision curves.A nomogram was created to visually represent the prediction model,which was then externally validated using the validation *** A total of 372 patients were included in this study,comprising 248 individuals in the development cohort and 124 individuals in the validation *** on Cox analysis results,our final prediction model incorporated five independent risk factors including albumin levels,primary tumor size,presence of extrahepatic metastases,surgical treatment status,and chemotherapy *** 1-,3-,and 5-years Area Under the Curve values in the development cohort are 0.753,0.859,and 0.909,respectively;whereas in the validation cohort,they are observed to be 0.772,0.848,and ***,th

Federated Dynamic Client Selection for Fairness Guarantee in Heterogeneous Edge Computing

Federated learning has emerged as a distributed learning paradigm by training at each client and aggregat-ing at a parameter *** heterogeneity hinders stragglers from responding to the server in time with huge com-munication *** client grouping in federated learning can solve the straggler problem,the stochastic selection strategy in client grouping neglects the impact of data distribution within each ***,current client grouping ap-proaches make clients suffer unfair participation,leading to biased performances for different *** order to guaran-tee the fairness of client participation and mitigate biased local performances,we propose a federated dynamic client selec-tion method based on data representativity(FedSDR).FedSDR clusters clients into groups correlated with their own lo-cal computational *** estimate the significance of client datasets,we design a novel data representativity evalua-tion scheme based on local data ***,the two most representative clients in each group are selected to optimize the global ***,the DYNAMIC-SELECT algorithm updates local computational efficiency and data representativity states to regroup clients after periodic average *** on real datasets show that FedS-DR improves client participation by 27.4%,37.9%,and 23.3%compared with FedAvg,TiFL,and FedSS,respectively,tak-ing fairness into account in federated *** addition,FedSDR surpasses FedAvg,FedGS,and FedMS by 21.32%,20.4%,and 6.90%,respectively,in local test accuracy variance,balancing the performance bias of the global model across clients.

Novel high-voltage cathode for aqueous zinc ion batteries:Porous K_(0.5)VOPO_(4)·1.5H_(2)O with reversible solid-solution intercalation and conversion storage mechanism

Cathode materials that possess high output voltage,as well as those that can be mass-produced using facile techniques,are crucial for the advancement of aqueous zinc-ion battery(ZIBs)applications,Herein,we present for the first time a new porous K_(0.5)VOPO_(4)·1.5H_(2)O polyanionic cathode(P-KIVP)with high output voltage(above 1.2 V)that can be manufactured at room temperature using straightforward coprecipitation and etching *** P-KVP cathode experiences anisotropic crystal plane expansion via a sequential solid-solution intercalation and phase co nversion pathway throughout the Zn^(2+)storage process,as confirmed by in-situ synchrotron X-ray diffraction and ex-situ X-ray photoelectron *** to other layered vanadium-based polyanionic materials,the P-KVP cathode experiences a progressive decline in voltage during the cycle,which is demonstrated to be caused by the irreversible conversion into amorphous VO_(x).By introducing a new electrolyte containing Zn(OTF)_(2) to a mixed triethyl phosphate and water solution,it is possible to impede this irreversible conversion and obtain a high output voltage and longer cycle life by forming a P-rich cathode electrolyte interface *** a proof-of-concept,the flexible fiber-shaped ZIBs based on modified electrolyte woven into a fabric watch band can power an electronic watch,highlighting the application potential of P-KVP cathode.

Spontaneous symmetry breaking(SSB)plays a central role in understanding a large variety of phenomena associated with phase transitions,such as superfluid and *** far,the transition from a symmetric vacuum to a macroscopically ordered phase has been substantially *** process bridging these two distinct phases is critical to understanding how a classical world emerges from a quantum phase transition,but so far remains unexplored in *** here report an experimental demonstration of such a process with a quantum Rabi model engineered with a superconducting *** move the system from the normal phase to the superradiant phase featuring two symmetry-breaking field components,one of which is observed to emerge as the classical *** results demonstrate that the environment-induced decoherence plays a critical role in the SSB.

Selective photosynthesis of imines from biomass-derived aldehydes over Ni/TiO_(2)

Photocatalytic reductive amination of biomass-derived aldehydes is a desirable way to selectively upgrade biomass into value-added nitrogen-containing chemicals under mild ***,it is challenging to produce imines in high selectivity because of the undesirable side reactions caused by the activity of functional ***,we demonstrate the highly reactive and selective production of imines from biomass derived aldehydes via the photocatalytic reductive amination,using a defective TiO_(2)supported nickel *** employment of methanol as the hydrogen donor and ammonia solution as the nitrogen source avoids the use of high-pressure H_(2)and expensive amines,rendering the current catalytic process safe,economical,and environmentally *** depth investigations attribute the improved separation and transfer of photogenerated charge carriers to the presence of oxygen vacancies and decorated Ni nanoparticles,thereby accelerating the production of imines from benzaldehyde amination(conversion,95.8%;seleetivity,95.2%).Furthermore,the developed system could be easily translated to the photocatalytic conversions of various biomass derived aldehydes,which provided an example of a cost-effective and sustainable approach for the valorization of biomass derived feedstocks.

The development of high-performance aqueous batteries calls for an in-depth knowledge of their chargedischarge redox and failure mechanism,as well as a systematic understanding of the dynamic evolution of microstructure,phase composition,chemical composition,and local chemical environment of the materials for ***-situ characterization technology is expected to understand and reveal the problems faced by aqueous rechargeable batteries,such as the dissolution of electrode materials,the growth of metal negative electrode dendrites,passivation,corrosion,side reactions and a series of *** on this,typical in-situ characterization techniques and their basic mechanisms are summarized,including in-situ optical visualization,in-situ microscopy techniques(in-situ scanning electron microscopy(SEM),in-situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM)),in-situ X-ray techniques(in-situ X-ray diffraction(XRD),in-situ X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS),in-situ near-edge structural X-ray absorption spectroscopy(XANES)),and in-situ spectroscopy techniques(in-situ Raman spectroscopy,in-situ Fourier transform infrared(FTIR)).Moreover,some emerging techniques concerning aqueous battery research,especially gas evolution and materials dissolution issues,such as in-situ electrochemical quartz crystal microbalance(EQCM).in-situ fiber-optic sensing,in-situ gas chromatography(GC) are *** last,the applications of advanced in-situ characterizations in future research of aqueous batteries are emphasized and discussed,along with some of the remaining challenges and possible solutions.

Phenylacetylglutamine(PAGln)is an amino acid derivate that comes from the amino acid *** are increasing studies showing that the level of PAGln is associated with the risk of different cardiovascular *** this review,we discussed the metabolic pathway of PAGln production and the quantitative measurement methods of *** summarized the epidemiological evidence to show the role of PAGln in diagnostic and prognostic value in several cardiovascular diseases,such as heart failure,coronary heart disease/atherosclerosis,and cardiac *** underlying mechanism of PAGln is now considered to be related to the thrombotic potential of platelets via adrenergic ***,other possible mechanisms such as inflammatory response and oxidative stress could also be induced by ***,since PAGln is produced across different organs including the intestine,liver,and kidney,the cross-talk among multiple organs focused on the function of this uremic toxic ***,the prognostic value of PAGln compared to the classical biomarker was discussed and we also highlighted important gaps in knowledge and areas requiring future investigation of PAGln in cardiovascular diseases.

Serrated flow behavior of GH536 superalloy under different loading rates at room temperature

Serrated flow phenomenon has been widely observed among different metals due to the potential influence on their *** tensile tests of nickel-based superalloy GH536 were carried out at loading rates of 0.06,0.60,3.60,and 36.00 mm·min^(-1)at room temperature,*** tensile stress-strain curves demonstrate repetitive and discontinuous yielding behavior,namely serrated *** is observed that the stress-strain curves were dominated by type B serration,and original annealing twin boundaries(TBs)were distorted to various degrees under comparatively different lower tensile *** contrast,the TBs almost disappear,and the type B serrations become smoother and regular under the higher loading *** phenomenon can be attributed to the interactions between TBs and dislocations during tensile *** effects of the mobile and immobile dislocations illustrate the unsteady amplitude of serrations observed in stress-strain *** electron microscope images of tested pieces reveal the interaction of dislocation and TB,with dislocation tangling around the TBs.

A thermo-responsive rewritable plasmonic bio-memory chip has been successfully fabricated on an indium tin oxide(ITO)glass slide by assembling core-satellite gold nanoclusters with different size of gold nanoparticles(AuNPs)using double-strand DNA(dsDNA)*** the prepared 70@DNA20@13 gold nanoclusters(AuNCs)exhibited more stable and greater photothermal conversion *** short time irradiation by 633 nm microbeam laser,every individual AuNCs could be excited and remove the satellite AuNPs on its ***,in the dissociation process of AuNCs with 3−5 satellite,its color would change from yellow to green,which showed more significant reduction in the red channel of the dark-field microscopy(DFM)images and could be defined to state“0”and“1”***,this plasmonic nano bio-memory could transform cyclically its state between 0 and 1 which exhibited excellent rewritable ability.
