BACKGROUND Two or multiple primary malignant neoplasms(MPMNs)rarely occur in the same *** has been reported that MPMNs are easily misdiagnosed as the recurrence or metastasis of malignancies in clinical practice,affecting the choice of treatment for the patients,thereby resulting in the delay of optimal *** generation sequencing(NGS)can be used to distinguish between multiple primary lung cancers and intrapulmonary metastasis,and may distinguish the origin of tumours in different sites of the *** SUMMARY We report the case of 66-year-old woman who suffered from different malignant neoplasms in the rectum and esophageal and gastrointestinal *** first neoplasm rectal adenocarcinoma was diagnosed and removed in *** second and third lesions were diagnosed with esophageal squamous-cell carcinoma(ESCC)and gastrointestinal stromal tumour(GIST),respectively,in *** whole exome sequencing was performed on the tissue specimens of rectal carcinoma,esophageal cancer,GIST,and white blood cells to investigate the relationship between malignancies at different timeframe and determine whether the ESCC and GIST evolved from the rectal *** including v-Ki-ras2-Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog,adenomatosis polyposis coli,and mothers against decapentaplegic homolog 4 were detected in rectal adenocarcinoma sample,mast/stem cell growth factor receptor was detected in GIST tissue,and lysine methyltransferase 2D was detected in ESCC ***,ESCC and GIST were not genetically evolved from rectal adenocarcinoma,and this patient did not have a trunk driven *** NGS is an effective tool to study clonal evolution of tumours and distinguish between MPMNs and intrapulmonary metastasis.

Cascade Integrator Comb(CIC) filter is the main part of the next generation High Frequency (HF) radar. This paper describes the key points of CIC theory in the Digital Down Conversion (DDC) module of a radar receiver, and takes advantage of the high flexibility and high density feature of Field Programmable Gate Array (FPGA) for putting forth to design the CIC filter by using FPGA. This paper provides particular insight into design by FPGA, which has advantages in high speed operation and simply structure. Some important and practical applications are given in this paper. The simulation result proves the validity and veracity. Because we can adjust the parameters freely according to our need, the CIC filter can be adapted to the next generation HF radar. During the initial impoundment period of a canyon-shaped reservoir,the water body fluctuated violently regarding water level,hydrological condition,and thermal *** variations may alter the structure of phytoplankton community,resulting in algal blooms and seriously threatening the ecological security of the *** is of great significance to understand the continuous changes of phytoplankton in the initial impoundment period for the protection of reservoir water ***,a two-year in-situ monitoring study was conducted on water quality and phytoplankton in a representative canyonshaped reservoir named Sanhekou and the interannual changes of phytoplankton community and its response to environmental changes during the initial impoundment period were discussed at taxonomic versus functional classification *** results showed that the total nitrogen and permanganate index levels were relatively high in the first year due to rapid water storage and heavy rainfall input,and the more stable hydrological conditions in the second year promoted the increase of algae density and the transformation of community,and the proportion of cyanobacteria increased *** succession order of phytoplankton in the first year of the initial impoundment periodwas Chlorophyta-Bacillariophyta-Chlorophyta,or J/F/X1-P/MP/W1-A/X1/MP,*** the succession order in the second year was Cyanobacteria/Chlorophyta-Bacillariophyta-Chlorophyta,or L_(M)/G/P-P/A/X1-X1/J/*** temperature,relativewater column stability,mixing depth,and pHwere crucial factors affecting phytoplankton community *** study revealed the interannual succession law and driving factors of phytoplankton in the initial impoundment period and provided an important reference for the operation management and ecological protection of canyon-shaped reservoirs.

To illuminate the corrosion behavior of MgO-based refractories under electromagnetic field(EMF),herein,the slag corrosion and penetration resistance of MgO–MgAl_(2)O_(4),MgO–CaO,and MgO–C refractories were investigated using the rotary immersion slag resistance test at 1873 K for 1 *** results showed that the order of the good slag resistance of as-tested refractories was MgO–C>MgO–CaO>MgO–MgAl_(2)O_(4).The EMF accelerated the corrosion and penetration of slag to the refractories,which caused the molten slag to be easier into the refractories by natural convection and Marangoni *** addition,the MgO–C refractories did not show an overwhelming advantage in slag resistance because EMF impeded the formation of the dense protection ***,in view of the present results,the MgO–C refractories are still the most promising slag line material for refining furnace among MgO–MgAl_(2)O_(4),MgO–CaO,and MgO–C refractories.

Quantum metrology with optimal control under an arbitrary non-Markovian bosonic environment

Finding the optimal control is of importance to quantum metrology under a noisy *** this paper, we tackle the problem of finding the optimal control to enhance the performance of quantum metrology under an arbitrary non-Markovian bosonic environment. By introducing an equivalent pseudomode model, the non-Markovian dynamic evolution is reduced to a Lindblad master equation, which helps us to calculate the gradient of quantum Fisher information and perform the gradient ascent algorithm to find the optimal control. Our approach is accurate and circumvents the need for the Born–Markovian approximation. As an example, we consider the frequency estimation of a spin with pure dephasing under two types of non-Markovian environments. By maximizing the quantum Fisher information at a fixed evolution time, we obtain the optimal multi-axis control, which results in a notable enhancement in quantum metrology. The advantage of our method lies in its applicability to the arbitrary non-Markovian bosonic environment.

Background:The prognostic significance of the chemokine receptor CCR7 in diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)has been reported ***,the detailed mechanisms of CCR7 in DLBCL,particularly regarding its interaction with lenalidomide treatment,are not fully ***:Our study utilized bioinformatics approaches to identify hub genes in SU-DHL-2 cell lines treated with lenalidomide compared to control *** data and clinical information from 122 patients with DLBCL were analyzed to assess the correlation of CCR7 and p-ERK1/2 expression with the prognosis of ***,in vitro and in vivo experiments were conducted to clarify the role of CCR7 in the response of DLBCL to lenalidomide ***:Our bioinformatics analysis pinpointed CCR7 as a hub gene in the context of lenalidomide treatment in ***,31.14%and 36.0%(44/122)of DLBCL cases showed positive expression for CCR7 and ERK1/2 respectively,establishing them as independent prognostic factors for adverse outcomes in DLBCL via multivariate Cox regression ***,our studies demonstrated that the external application of the protein CCL21 promoted proliferation,migration,invasion,and activation of the ERK1/2 pathway in SU-DHL-2 and OCI-LY3 cell lines with high levels of CCR7 *** effect was mitigated by CCR7 silencing through siRNA,application of ERK inhibitors,or lenalidomide *** vivo experiments reinforced the efficacy of lenalidomide,significantly reducing tumor growth rate,tumor mass,serum total LDH levels,and expression of CCR7 and p-ERK1/2 in a SUDHL-2 xenograft model in nude mice(p<0.05).Conclusion:Our study clarifies the potential role of the CCL21/CCR7/ERK1/2 axis in the therapeutic effects of lenalidomide in DLBCL treatment.

Dear Editor,This letter studies the bipartite consensus tracking problem for heterogeneous multi-agent systems with actuator faults and a leader's unknown time-varying control input. To handle such a problem, the continuous fault-tolerant control protocol via observer design is developed. In addition, it is strictly proved that the multi-agent system driven by the designed controllers can still achieve bipartite consensus tracking after faults occur.
