A visual analysis approach for data imputation via multi-party tabular data correlation strategies

Data imputation is an essential pre-processing task for data governance,aimed at filling in incomplete ***,conventional data imputation methods can only partly alleviate data incompleteness using isolated tabular data,and they fail to achieve the best balance between accuracy and *** this paper,we present a novel visual analysis approach for data *** develop a multi-party tabular data association strategy that uses intelligent algorithms to identify similar columns and establish column correlations across multiple ***,we perform the initial imputation of incomplete data using correlated data entries from other ***,we develop a visual analysis system to refine data imputation *** interactive system combines the multi-party data imputation approach with expert knowledge,allowing for a better understanding of the relational structure of the *** significantly enhances the accuracy and eficiency of data imputation,thereby enhancing the quality of data governance and the intrinsic value of data *** validation and user surveys demonstrate that this method supports users in verifying and judging the associated columns and similar rows using theirdomain knowledge.

Photocatalytic aerobic oxidation reactions are largely governed by the efficiency of charge separation and subsequent reactive oxygen species(ROS) generation. Herein, we report a polarization engineering strategy to promote the charge separation and ROS generation efficiency by substituting the benzene unit with furan/thiophene in porous organic polymers(POPs). Benefiting from the extent of local polarization, the thiophene-containing POP(JNU-218) exhibits the best photocatalytic performance in aerobic oxidation reactions, with a yield much higher than those for the furan-containing POP(JNU-217) and the benzenecontaining POP(JNU-216). Experimental studies and theoretical calculations reveal that the increase of local polarization can indeed reduce the exciton binding energy, and therefore facilitate the separation of electron-hole pairs. This work demonstrates a viable strategy to tune charge separation and ROS generation efficiency by modulating the dipole moments of the building blocks in porous polymeric organic semiconductors.

By systematic theoretical calculations,we reveal an excitonic insulator(EI)in the Ta_(2)Pd_(3)Te_(5)*** bulk Ta_(2)Pd_(3)Te_(5)is a van der Waals(vdW)layered compound,whereas the vdW layer can be obtained through exfoliation or molecular-beam ***-principles calculations show that the monolayer is a nearly zero-gap semiconductor with the modified Becke–Johnson *** to the same symmetry of the band-edge states,the two-dimensional polarization 2D would be finite as the band gap goes to zero,allowing for an EI state in the *** the first-principles many-body perturbation theory,the GW plus Bethe–Salpeter equation calculation reveals that the exciton binding energy is larger than the single-particle band gap,indicating the excitonic *** computed phonon spectrum suggests that the monolayer is dynamically stable without lattice *** findings suggest that the Ta_(2)Pd_(3)Te_(5) monolayer is an excitonic insulator without structural distortion.

In scientific and industrial research, three-dimensional (3D) imaging, or depth measurement, is a critical tool that provides detailed insight into surface properties. Confocal microscopy, known for its precision in surface measurements, plays a key role in this field. However, 3D imaging based on confocal microscopy is often challenged by significant data requirements and slow measurement speeds. In this paper, we present a novel self-supervised learning algorithm called SSL Depth that overcomes these challenges. Specifically, our method exploits the feature learning capabilities of neural networks while avoiding the need for labeled data sets typically associated with supervised learning approaches. Through practical demonstrations on a commercially available confocal microscope, we find that our method not only maintains higher quality, but also significantly reduces the frequency of the z-axis sampling required for 3D imaging. This reduction results in a remarkable 16×measurement speed, with the potential for further acceleration in the future. Our methodological advance enables highly efficient and accurate 3D surface reconstructions, thereby expanding the potential applications of confocal microscopy in various scientific and industrial fields.

Broody behavior is regulated by hypothalamic prolactin secretion,which seriously affects egg production in poulty *** studies have provided evidence that animal behavior is governed by dynamic bidirectional communication between specific gut bacteria and their host via the brain-gut-microbiome ***,little research focused on how the gut microbiota influence broody behavior in *** this study,Zhedong white geese in laying and brooding phases were *** differentially abundant bacteria in cecum were detected between brooding and laying geese through metagenomic analyses and 16S rRNA sequencing(P<0.05),and Bacteroides fragilis was specifically identified as a key driver species in the brooding ***,the serum metabolites were quantified,and the 313 differentially abundant metabolites were found between the two groups of different physiological *** were primarily enriched in the tryptophan metabolism *** correlation analyses revealed there was a significant positive correlation between *** abundance and the context of 11 tryptophan metabolism-related metabolites(such as serotonin,etc.)in broody geese,which hinted that those tryptophan metabolites might be produced or driven by ***,the serum hormone levels were also *** found there was a positive correlation between *** abundance and content of ***,prolactin secreted by the pituitary gland was greater in brooding geese than that in laying geese,which was also highly correlated with *** *** result implied that *** could promote the secretion of prolactin by the pituitary ***,the current study findings provided the information on gut microbiota influencing broody behavior,*** produced or driven more serum serotonin,and stimulated the pituitary gland to secret more prolactin,which potentially offered a new enlightenment for the intervention of broody behavior in pou

Skeletal muscle plays a vital role in the regulation of systemic metabolism,partly through its secretion of endocrine factors which are collectively known as *** myokine levels are associated with metabolic diseases,such as type 2 diabetes(T2D).The significance of interorgan crosstalk,particularly through myokines,has emerged as a fundamental aspect of nutrient and energy ***,a comprehensive understanding of myokine biology in the setting of obesity and T2D remains a major chal*** this review,we discuss the regulation and biological functions of key myokines that have been extensively studied during the past two decades,namely interleukin 6(IL-6),irisin,myostatin(MSTN),growth differentiation factor 11(GDF11),fibroblast growth factor 21(FGF21),apelin,brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF),meteorin-like(Metrnl),secreted protein acidic and rich in cysteine(SPARC),β-aminoisobutyric acid(BAIBA),Musclin,and Dickkopf 3(Dkk3).Related to these,we detail the role of exercise in myokine expression and secretion together with their contributions to metabolic physiology and *** significant advancements in myokine research,many myokines remain challenging to measure accurately and investigate ***,new research techniques and detection methods should be developed and rigorously ***,developing a comprehensive perspective on myokine biology is crucial,as this will likely offer new insights into the pathophysiological mechanisms underlying obesity and T2D and may reveal novel targets for therapeutic interventions.

Animal body size variation is of particular interest in evolutionary biology,but the genetic basis remains largely *** studies have shown the presence of two parallel evolutionary genetic clusters within the fish genus Epinephelus with evident divergence in body size,providing an excellent opportunity to investigate the genetic basis of body size variation in ***,we performed phylotranscriptomic analysis and reconstructed the phylogeny of 13 epinephelids originating from the South China *** genetic clades with an estimated divergence time of approximately 15.4 million years ago were correlated with large and small body size,respectively.A total of 180 rapidly evolving genes and two positively selected genes were identified between the two *** enrichment analyses of these candidate genes revealed distinct enrichment categories between the two *** pathways and genes may play important roles in body size variation in groupers through complex regulatory *** on our results,we speculate that the ancestors of the two divergent groups of groupers may have adapted to different environments through habitat selection,leading to genetic variations in metabolic patterns,organ development,and lifespan,resulting in body size divergence between the two locally adapted *** findings provide important insights into the genetic mechanisms underlying body size variation in groupers and species differentiation.

The widespread use of advanced electronic devices has led to the emergence of spatial crowdsourcing,a method that taps into collective efforts to perform real-world tasks like environmental monitoring and traffic *** research focuses on a specific type of spatial crowdsourcing that involves ongoing,collaborative efforts for continuous spatial data ***,due to limited budgets and workforce availability,the collected data often lacks completeness,posing a data deficiency *** address this,we propose a reciprocal framework to optimize task assignments by leveraging the mutual benefits of spatiotemporal subtask *** introduce an entropy-based quality metric to capture the combined effects of incomplete data acquisition and interpolation *** on this,we explore a quality-aware task assignment method,corresponding to spatiotemporal assignment *** the assignment problem is NP-hard,we develop a polynomial-time algorithm with the guaranteed approximation *** indexing and pruning techniques are proposed to further enhance *** experiments conducted on datasets validate the effectiveness of our methods.
