In order to better guide the design of industrial process for purification and recovery of VOCs,temperature swing adsorption(TSA)and temperature vacuum swing adsorption(TVSA)process for VOCs purification and recovery were studied systematically with activated carbon *** adsorption and desorption behaviors of benzene on activated carbon in above two processes were investigated *** of operating parameters on process performances were further analyzed,including as regeneration temperature,purging feed ratio and hot–cold purging *** results showed that the increase of hot–cold purging ratio(HP/CP)could obtain the same regeneration effect as the increase of desorption *** the feed purge ratio without increasing the hot–cold purging ratio is not conducive to bed regeneration,because a large number of cold purge gases cannot utilize the residual heat of temperature wave,thus reducing the desorption effect of the cooling step on the *** addition,the vacuum step can enhance the regeneration ability of hot nitrogen to the bed at the same regeneration temperature,making the bed regeneration of TVSA process more *** in the middle and lower part of the bed in TVSA process was higher and the regeneration was more *** conclusion,TVSA has more obvious advantages than TSA in terms of energy consumption,hot or cold purge volume and bed regeneration.

The excellent properties of the multi-principal element alloys(e.g.,the CoCrNi medium-entropy alloy)make them a perfect candidate for structure *** low strength and poor wear-resistance,however,limit considerably their *** this study,a lamellar eutectic microstructure was introduced by addition of Hf into CoCrNi alloy to produce a series of CoCrNiHf_(x)(x=0.1,0.2,0.3 and 0.4)eutectic medium-entropy alloys.A homogeneous eutectic microstructure with an alternate array of the soft FCC solid-solution phase and the hard Laves phase was identified for the as-cast CoCrNiHf_(0.3)*** an investigation of the microstructure,mechanical and tribological properties,it was found that the hardness(plasticity)increases(decreases)with the increasing volume fraction of the Laves phase and the CoCrNiHf_(0.3)eutectic alloy exhibits both good plasticity and high *** wear behavior is strongly dependent on the applied normal *** a low normal load,its tribological behavior follows the Archard's equation and a higher hardness due to Hf addition can resist plastic deformation and abrasive *** the normal load is high enough,the hypoeutectic or hypereutectic alloy,which possessing either high strength or good ductility but not at the same time,exhibit a poor wear *** comparison,the full eutectic CoCrNiHf_(0.3)alloy with a superior combination of strength and toughness shows the best wear performance,as it can significantly reduce fracture during wear.

Dissolved organic matter(DOM)derived from various composts can promote significant changes of soil ***,little is known about the DOM compositions and their similarities and differences at the molecular *** this study,the molecular compositions of DOM derived from kitchen waste compost(KWC),green waste compost(GWC),manure waste compost(MWC),and sewage sludge compost(SSC)were characterized by electrospray ionization coupled with Fourier transform ion cyclotron resonance mass spectrometry(ESI FT-ICR MS).The molecular formulas were classified into four subcategories:CHO,CHON,CHOS,and *** KWC,MWC,and SSC DOM represented the highest fraction(35.8%-47.4%)of CHON subcategory,while the GWC DOM represented the highest fraction(68.4%)of CHO *** GWC DOM was recognized as the nitrogen-and sulfurdeficient compounds that were less saturated,more aromatic,and more oxidized compared with other *** analysis of the oxygen,nitrogen-containing(N-containing),and sulfur-containing(S-containing)functional groups in the four subcategories revealed higher organic molecular *** of the similarities and differences of the four samples revealed 22.8%ubiquitous formulas and 17.4%,11.1%,10.7%,and 6.3%unique formulas of GWC,KWC,SSC,and MWC DOM,respectively,suggesting a large proportion of ubiquitous DOM as well as unique,source-specific molecular *** findings presented herein provide new insight into the molecular characterization of DOM derived from various composts and demonstrated the potential role of these different compounds for agricultural utilization.

Deactivation of polyphenol oxidase(PPO)in natural products is essential for downstream processing of functional molecules used as food or food additives,particularly those served as *** the present work,we identified two proteins with PPO activity from lowbush blueberry using ammonium sulphate precipitation and chromatography *** of these proteins was studied using aqueous solutions of ethanol of different *** PPO activity was recovered after ethanol removal for the protein samples previously soaked in a lowconcentration ethanol solution.A complete and unrecoverable deactivation of the proteins was achieved using ethanol with concentration over 70%(v/v),as manifested by the significant changes in circular dichroism(CD)and fluorescence spectroscopy *** on these findings,we propose a new extraction process for blueberry anthocyanin,in which an ethanol shock,*** blueberry fruit in a 70%(v/v)ethanol solution for 1 h,is implemented before subsequent *** new process increases the anthocyanin yield by 55%in comparison to that without the ethanol shock.

Carotenoids are valuable pigments that have been widely used in food,pharmaceutical,animal breeding and cosmetics *** to the increasing demand for carotenoids of natural origin,the trend for production of carotenoids by red yeast has become *** Rhodotorula mucilaginosa CYJ03 was isolated from northern Yellow Sea of China for its carotenoid producing *** was found that the whole genome of CYJ03 was 19.03 Mb in size and contained 6301 protein-coding genes including a gene cluster for the carotenoids *** genome sequence would be valuable for exploring the potential biological properties of CYJ03,as well as for facilitating the molecular genetic analysis and the manipulation of carotenoids accumulation in this strain,and for the development of it as an engineered host for carotenoid production.

In this study, a simple and effective method was proposed to improve the electrocatalytic ability of overoxidized poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-overoxidized polypyrrole composite films modified on glassy carbon electrode for rutin and luteolin determination. The composite electrode was prepared by cyclic voltammetry copolymerization with LiClO_(4)-water as the supporting electrolyte. The peak current of rutin and luteolin on the composite electrode gradually decreased or even disappeared with the increase in the positive potential limit. After incubation in NaOH–ethanol solution with a volume ratio of 1:1, the composite electrodes prepared at positive potential limit greater than 1.5 V exhibited enhanced differential pulse voltammetry peak currents, reduced charge transfer resistance, larger effective specific surface area and higher electron transfer rate constant. The composite electrode prepared in the potential range of 0–1.7 V showed optimal electrocatalytic performance. The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results indicated that the content of –SO_(2)/–SO and –C=N– groups in the composite film increased significantly after incubation. Further, the Raman spectra and Fourier transform infrared spectra revealed that the thiophene ring structure changed from benzene-type to quinone-type, and the quinone-type pyrrole ring was formed. The electrocatalytic mechanism of the composite film was proposed based on the experimental results and further verified by Density Functional Theory calculation.
