Adsorption and desorption of Cd in reclaimed soil under the influence of humic acid:characteristics and mechanisms

Exogenous humus can change the content and migration activity of cadmium(Cd)in soil.Humic acid(HA)is an important soluble humus component in soil.In order to explore the relationship between cadmium pollution mechanism and ecological environment of humic acid in reclaimed soil,the characteristics of humic acid adsorbing cadmium in alkaline conditions were studied.This study employed reclaimed soil from the Huainan mining area,China.The adsorption and desorption characteristics as well as influence mechanisms on the heavy metal cadmium(Cd)were explored under the influence of HA.The results show that:(1)When Cd concentration was low(0.2–10 mg/L),HA had little effect on Cd adsorption and desorption in reclaimed soil.When the Cd concentration was high(15–80 mg/L),HA had a great influence on the adsorption and desorption of Cd in reclaimed soil.The addition of HA can inhibit the adsorption of Cd by reclaimed soil and effectively improve the desorption capacity of Cd by reclaimed soil.(2)The kinetic curves of Cd adsorption and desorption of reclaimed soil with added HA show that both processes(adsorption and desorption)include two stages:rapid reaction and slow reaction.The adsorption of Cd by reclaimed soil under the influence of HA was 18.18%lower than that of normal reclaimed soil,and the increase of Cd desorption was 50.29%.(3)The factors affecting the adsorption and desorption of Cd in the soil were analyzed with gray theory,and their importance can be ordered as follows:Cd concentration>HA concentration>pH>temperature.Considering the influence of HA,a multi-factor coupling function model of adsorption and desorption of Cd in soil is established.This model provides theoretical guidance for the scientific prediction and evaluation of Cd environmental pollution risks in soil and will be useful for developing a new solution for engineering remediation of high concentration Cd contaminated soil.

目的观察益气养心方治疗冠心病室性心律失常的临床疗效及其对心肌缺血的血液流变学指标、CXC趋化因子配体9(CXCL9)水平的影响。方法选取2021年6月至2022年12月在该院治疗的70例冠心病室性心律失常患者作为研究对象,采用随机数字表法分为对照组和观察组,每组35例。两组患者均实施常规对症治疗,对照组在常规对症治疗的基础上给予酒石酸美托洛尔片治疗,观察组在对照组的基础上给予益气养心方治疗,两组患者均连续治疗4个月。观察两组临床疗效、血液流变学指标水平、血清CXCL9水平及不良反应情况。结果观察组治疗后总有效率高于对照组(P<0.05);两组治疗后全血低切黏度、全血高切黏度、血浆比黏度、纤维蛋白水平均低于治疗前,且观察组均低于对照组(P<0.05);两组治疗后血清CXCL9水平均低于治疗前,且观察组低于对照组(P<0.05);两组治疗过程中均未见严重不良反应,仅有极少数患者出现轻微恶心、呕吐症状。结论益气养心方治疗冠心病室性心律失常临床疗效较佳,可调低血清CXCL9水平,减轻心肌损伤,改善心肌的血液流变学指标,促进心律失常改善,且治疗安全性较高。

Compressed air energy storage(CAES)is an important technology in the development of renewable energy.The main advantages of CAES are its high energy capacity and environmental friendliness.One of the main challenges is its low energy density,meaning a natural cavern is required for air storage.High-pressure air compression can effectively solve the problem.A liquid piston gas compressor facilitates high-pressure compression,and efficient convective heat transfer can significantly reduce the compression energy consumption during air compression.In this paper,a near isothermal compression method is proposed to increase the surface area and heat exchange by using multiple tube bundles in parallel in the compression chamber in order to obtain high-pressure air using liquid-driven compression.Air compression with a compression ratio of 6.25:1 is achieved by reducing the tube diameter and increasing the parallel tube number while keeping the compression chamber cross-sectional area constant in order to obtain a high-pressure air of 5 MPa.The performances of this system are analyzed when different numbers of tubes are applied.A system compression efficiency of 93.0%and an expansion efficiency of 92.9%can be achieved when 1000 tubes are applied at a 1 minute period.A new approach is provided in this study to achieve high efficiency and high pressure compressed air energy storage.

Protein trap-engineered metal-organic frameworks for advanced enzyme encapsulation and mimicking

Immobilizing enzymes within metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)enables enzymes to against extreme environments.However,these MOF shells are just like armors,protective but heavy,which shield the enzymes from threats while locking them in the cage.The exploitation of immobilization strategy and intrinsic property of MOFs themselves is of great significance.Here,we proposed a functional protein trap strategy for efficient enzyme encapsulation.The ferrocenedicarboxylic acid(Fc)was used to induce the formation of defect-rich Co-based MOFs(CoBDC-Fc).As result,the engineered protein trap can not only improve the enzyme loading but also accelerate catalytic efficiency.Specifically,the atomically dispersed Fc sites serve as cocatalysts/cofactors and even change the conformation of enzymes in the construed microenvironment.Furthermore,the obtained CoBDC-Fc/enzyme exhibits excellent recyclability and tolerance to inhospitable conditions.Benefited by these,the CoBDC-Fc/enzyme/antigen composites were further prepared for cascade enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay of prostate-specific antigen with satisfactory sensitivity.

Self-sustained Oscillation Pulsed Air Blowing System for Energy Saving

Currently, many studies have been made for years on dimensions of pneumatic nozzle, which influence the flow characteristic of blowing system. For the purpose of outputting the same blowing force, the supply pressure could be reduced by decreasing the ratio of length to diameter of nozzle. The friction between high speed air and pipe wall would be reduced if the nozzle is designed to be converging shape comparing with straight shape. But the volume flow and pressure, discussed in these studies, do not describe energy loss of the blowing system directly. Pneumatic power is an innovative principle to estimate pneumatic system’s energy consumption directly. Based on the above principle, a pulse blowing method is put forward for saving energy. A flow experiment is carried out, in which the high speed air flows from the pulse blowing system and continuous blowing system respectively to a plate with grease on top. Supply pressure and the volume of air used for removing the grease are measured to calculate energy consumption. From the experiment result, the pulse blowing system performs to conserve energy comparing with the continuous blowing system. The frequency and duty ratio of pulse flow influence the blowing characteristic. The pulse blowing system performs to be the most efficient at the specified frequency and duty ratio. Then a pneumatic self-oscillated method based on air operated valve is put forward to generate pulse flow. A simulation is made about dynamic modeling the air operated valve and calculating the motion of the valve core and output pressure. The simulation result verifies the system to be able to generate pulse flow, and predicts the key parameters of the frequency and duty ratio measured by experiment well. Finally, on the basis of simplifying and solution of the pulse blowing system’s mathematic model, the relationship between system’s frequency duty ratio and the dimensions of components is simply described with four algebraic equations. 为了分析大气环境温度对发动机起动过程的影响,采用三段积分法计算发动机起动特性,开展了不同大气环境温度条件下某型涡扇发动机地面起动试验研究。结果表明:冷态条件下,发动机的起动特性与理论计算结果一致,标准大气温度下发动机起动时间和脱开时间均为最短;热态条件下,发动机起动最快时的大气温度比理论计算温度低2 K左右,起动时间和脱开时间均快于冷态时间(约快2.9 s);热态起动比冷态起动的风扇、压气机转速出现时间早约0.5 s,热态供油压力、排气温度的建立更早;分析认为,热态试验结果比理论计算温度低的原因与大气温度变化引起的燃油粘度、滑油粘度、空气密度等变化及热态发动机焓值的变化有关。该试验研究结果可为地面起动试验提供参考。

目的:探讨老年冠心病(CHD)患者血清脂联素(APN)、生长素释放肽(Ghrelin)水平与血小板聚集率(PAG)及主要心脏不良事件(MACE)之间的相关性。方法:选择83例老年CHD患者为病例组,另收集同期72例健康体检者作为对照组。入院后收集所有受试者一般资料,并检测其空腹血糖、血脂等生化指标。酶联免疫吸附法检测血清APN、Ghrelin水平。采用血小板聚集仪比浊法测定PAG,分析其与血清APN、Ghrelin水平之间的相关性。出院后随访12周,记录患者MACE发生情况,分析血清APN、Ghrelin水平与MACE之间的相关性。结果:CHD组与对照组总胆固醇(TC)、甘油三酯(TG)、高密度脂蛋白(HDL)、低密度脂蛋白(LDL)、血尿酸(UA)、左心室舒张末期内径(LVEDD)及左心室射血分数(LVEF)等水平比较,差异有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。与对照组比较,CHD组APN与Ghrelin水平明显降低(均P<0.05)。与对照组比较,CHD组PAG显著增加(均P<0.05)。Pearson相关性分析显示,CHD患者血清APN、Ghrelin水平与PAG呈明显负相关(r=-0.792,-0.578,均P<0.05)。83例CHD患者有26例发生MACE,与未发生MACE患者比较,两组HDL、LVEDD、LVEF、APN及Ghrelin水平比较差异有统计学意义(均P<0.05)。Logistic回归分析显示,HDL、LVEF、APN、Ghrelin是MACE发生的保护因素(均P<0.05)。结论:老年CHD患者血清APN、Ghrelin水平显著降低,且与血小板聚集率及预后有着密切关系,低水平APN、Ghrelin可一定程度上反映CHD患者MACE的发生风险。

Screening for musculoskeletal system malformations and birth injuries in newborns:Results of a screening program in two hospitals in Shenzen,China

Importance:There are a variety of musculoskeletal malformations and injuries that can occur in newborns.These can be a significant cause of perinatal death or a reason for miscarriage and can lead to long-term functional issues if not managed appropriately.There is no systematic and well-established screening program for neonatal musculoskeletal malformations and injuries in China now.Objective:To report the incidence and types of congenital musculoskeletal malformations in two hospitals in Shenzhen City,to explore and discuss the details of the screening procedure and improve future prevention and treatment.Methods:From October 2013 to May 2014,2564 one-day-old newborns were screened by a pediatric orthopedic physical examination,in combination with ultrasonography when required,and the incidence and variety of diseases were recorded statistically.Results:Among 2564 screened newborns,the following musculoskeletal conditions were identified:congenital muscular torticollis(CMT)(seven cases,0.27%),hip subluxation(four cases,0.16%),hip dysplasia(47 cases,1.83%),congenital talipes equinovarus(CTEV)(two cases,0.08%),congenital talipes calcaneovalgus(15 cases,0.58%),polydactyly(nine cases,0.35%),syndactyly(one case,0.04%),and spinal hemivertebra(one case,0.04%).Additionally,there were five(0.19%)neonates with birth injuries.Interpretation:It is feasible to carry out neonatal screening and identification of musculoskeletal malformations and birth injuries in China.This is helpful as timely detection and early intervention for many of these conditions can avoid permanent functional impairment in these children.

Boosting the energy density of aqueous MXene-based supercapacitor by integrating 3D conducting polymer hydrogel cathode

The wide-spread proliferation of aqueous MXene-based supercapacitor has been largely shadowed by the limited cell potential window(typically in the range of 0-0.6 V).To address this baffling issue,designing asymmetric supercapacitor(ASC)is proposed as a rational strategy to enlarge the potential window(thus energy density)of individual cell in aqueous electrolytes.To this date,however,it still remains a great challenge to develop easy fabricating,3D nanostructured,and pseudocapacitive cathode materials that can perfectly match with MXene anodematerials.In this work,we propose a supramolecular strategy to construct conducting polymer hydrogel(CPH)with highly interconnected 3D nanostructures and large pseudocapacitance,which can finely match with 2D Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x).The as-assembled CPH//Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) ASCwith CPH cathode and MXene anode can operate in a broadened potential window of 1.15 V in aqueous PVA/H_(2)SO_(4) gel electrolyte with remarkably improved energy density of 16.6μWh/cm^(2)(nine times higher than that of symmetric MXene supercapacitor).Additionally,this ASC exhibits outstanding cyclic stability with no trackable performance decay over 30,000 galvanostatic charge and discharge cycles.It is demonstrated in this work that employing positive CPH electrode is a feasible yet promising strategy to enhance the potential window and energy density of aqueous MXene supercapacitors.

Energy conversion characteristics of reciprocating piston quasi- isothermal compression systems using water sprays

Air compressors are vital and have numerous industrial applications. Approximately 8% of the annual operating electricity consumption in industrial countries is constituted by due to the use of air compressors. Because the poor heat transfer to the environment in the rapid compression process, the compression is non-isothermal, the efficiency of compressors is restricted. To improve their efficiency and achieve isothermal compression, this study proposes energy conversion reciprocating piston quasiisothermal compression using a water spray. First, a mathematical model of a reciprocating piston compressor with water sprays was established. Through experimental investigation and simulations, the mathematical model was validated. The energy conversion characteristics of the reciprocating piston compressor were then studied. To reduce compression power and enhance compression efficiency, it was first discovered that the critical parameters were the input pressure of the driving chamber, water spray mass, and compression volume ratio, which were then evaluated thoroughly. The higher the inlet pressure of the driving chamber, the faster the air compression velocity. Additionally, the compression efficiency was elevated as the water spray mass was gradually increased for a given compression volume ratio. When the compression volume ratio was increased from 2 to 3,the compression power increased from 172.7 J/stroke to 294.2 J/stroke and the compression efficiency was enhanced from 37.3%(adiabatic) to 80.6%. This research and its performance analysis can be referred to during the parameter design optimisation of reciprocating piston quasi-isothermal compression systems using water sprays.
