Fabricating SiC ceramics via the digital light processing(DLP)technology is of great challenge due to strong light absorption and high refractive index of deep-colored SiC powders,which highly differ from those of resin,and thus significantly affect the curing performance of the photosensitive SiC slurry.In this paper,a thin silicon oxide(SiO_(2))layer was in-situ formed on the surface of SiC powders by pre-oxidation treatment.This method was proven to effectively improve the curing ability of SiC slurry.The SiC photosensitive slurry was fabricated with solid content of 55 vol%and viscosity of 7.77 Pa·s(shear rate of 30 s^(−1)).The curing thickness was 50μm with exposure time of only 5 s.Then,a well-designed sintering additive was added to completely convert low-strength SiO_(2) into mullite reinforcement during sintering.Complexshaped mullite-bond SiC ceramics were successfully fabricated.The flexural strength of SiC ceramics sintered at 1550℃in air reached 97.6 MPa with porosity of 39.2 vol%,as high as those prepared by spark plasma sintering(SPS)techniques.

Palmitic acid reduces the methylation of the FOXO1 promoter to suppress the development of diffuse large B-cell lymphoma via modulating the miR-429/DNMT3A axis

Diffuse large B-cell lymphoma(DLBCL)is characterized by significant treatment resistance.Palmitic acid(PA)has shown promising antitumor properties.This study aims to elucidate the molecular mechanisms by which PA influences DLBCL progression.We quantified the expression levels of microRNAs(miRNAs),Forkhead box protein O1(FOXO1),and DNA methyltransferase 3A(DNMT3A)in both untreated and PA-treated DLBCL tumors and cell lines.Assessments were made of cell viability,apoptosis,and autophagy-related protein expression following PA administration.Interaction analyses among miR-429,DNMT3A,and FOXO1 were conducted using luciferase reporter assays and methylation-specific(MSP)Polymerase chain reaction(PCR).After transfecting the miR-429 inhibitor,negative control(NC)inhibitor,shRNA against DNMT3A(sh-DNMT3A),shRNA negative control(sh-NC),over-expression vector for DNMT3A(oe-DNMT3A),or overexpression negative control(oe-NC),we evaluated the effects of miR-429 and DNMT3A on cell viability,mortality,and autophagy-related protein expression in PA-treated DLBCL cell lines.The efficacy of PA was also tested in vivo using DLBCL tumor-bearing mouse models.MiR-429 and FOXO1 expression levels were downregulated,whereas DNMT3A was upregulated in DLBCL compared to the control group.PA treatment was associated with enhanced autophagy,mediated by the upregulation of miR-429 and downregulation of DNMT3A.The luciferase reporter assay and MSP confirmed that miR-429 directly inhibits DNMT3A,thereby reducing FOXO1 methylation.Subsequent experiments demonstrated that PA promotes autophagy and inhibits DLBCL progression by upregulating miR-429 and modulating the DNMT3A/FOXO1 axis.In vivo PA signific-antly reduced the growth of xenografted tumors through its regulatory impact on the miR-429/DNMT3A/FOXO1 axis.Palmitic acid may modulate autophagy and inhibit DLBCL progression by targeting the miR-429/DNMT3A/FOXO1 signaling pathway,suggesting a novel therapeutic target for DLBCL management.

As part of“The Earth Summit Mission-2022”during the second Tibetan Plateau Scientific Expedition and Research(STEP)in April and May 2022,we conducted the ozone sounding experiment(an ozonesonde mated to a radiosonde)at Mt.Qomolangma Base Camp(MQBC;86.85°E,28.14°N;5200 m),a location at an extremely high altitude.A total of ten sounding profiles were obtained between April 30 and May 06,2022,of which seven profiles were above35 km in altitude,with a maximum detection altitude up to 39.0 km.This study presents the temporal variation and vertical distributions of atmospheric temperature,humidity,and ozone during the MQBC campaign.The averaged ozone concentration was high(68.3 ppbv)at the surface and then increased smoothly until peaking(~110 ppbv)in the middle troposphere(approximately 10 km),and afterward,the ozone concentration increased rapidly from the upper troposphere to a maximum of~10 ppmv at~30 km.The enhanced ozone concentration in the middle troposphere was associated with the blocking high pressure,and transport from the southern flank of the Himalayas occurred during the campaign period.The average total ozone column was 291.9±21.4 DU for the seven profiles exceeding 35km in altitude.The ozonesonde measurements were also compared with the vertical ozone profiles retrieved from the space-borne ozone products from the Microwave Limb Sounder(MLS)onboard the Aura satellite and the Atmospheric Infrared Sounder(AIRS)onboard the Aqua satellite.

Terahertz spectroscopy of water in nonionic reverse micelles

The dynamics of water within a nanopool of a reverse micelle is heavily affected by the amphiphilic interface.In this work,the terahertz(THz)spectra of cyclohexane/Igepal/water nonionic reverse micelle mixture are measured by THz timedomain spectroscopy and analyzed with two Debye models and complex permittivity of background with volume ratios.Based on the fitted parameters of bulk and fast water,the molar concentration of all kinds of water molecules and hydration water molecule number per Igepal molecule are calculated.We find that slow hydration water has the highest proportion in water when the radius parameterω_(0)<10,while bulk water becomes the main component whenω_(0)≥10.The feature radius ratio of nonhydrated and hydrated water to total water nanopool is roughly obtained from 0.39 to 0.85 with increasingω_(0).

Background: Arterial stiffening increases with age and blood pressure and is associated with cardiovascular disease (CVD), but the relationship between blood pressure lowering and arterial stiffening is still uncertain, especially in older people. This study aimed to evaluate the effect of intensive blood pressure treatment on the progression of arterial stiffness and risk of CVD in older patients with hypertension.Methods: The Strategy of Blood Pressure Intervention in the Elderly Hypertensive Patients (STEP) trial was a multicenter, randomized, controlled trial performed at 42 clinical centers throughout China, and 8511 patients aged 60–80 years with essential hypertension were enrolled and randomly assigned to systolic blood pressure (SBP) target of 110 mmHg to <130 mmHg (intensive treatment) or 130 mmHg to <150 mmHg (standard treatment). Patients underwent repeated examinations of the brachial-ankle pulse wave velocity (baPWV) and ankle-brachial index (ABI) at baseline, and the arterial stiffness was evaluated at the 3-year follow-up. A total of 5339 patients who had twice repeated measurements were included in this study. Changes in arterial stiffness between the intensive and standard treatment groups were analyzed using a multivariate linear regression model. The Cox proportional hazard regression model was used to evaluate the effect of intensive treatment on primary CVD outcomes.Results: The changes in baPWV were 61.5 cm/s (95% confidence interval [CI]: 49.8–73.2 cm/s) in the intensive treatment group and 98.4 cm/s (95% CI: 86.7–110.1 cm/s) in the standard treatment group (P <0.001). Intensive treatment significantly delayed the progression of arterial stiffness, with an annual change of 23.1 cm·s–1·year–1vs. 36.7 cm·s–1·year-1 of baPWV in the intensive and standard treatment groups, respectively. During a median follow-up period of 3.36 years, primary CVD outcomes occurred in 77 (2.9%) patients in the intensive treatment group compared with 93 (3.5%) in the standard treatment group. Enhancement of farming management relies heavily on enhancing farmer knowledge.In the past,both the direct learning approach and the personnel extension system for improving fertilization practices of smallholders has proven insufficiently effective.Therefore,this article proposes an interactive knowledge learning approach using artificial intelligence as a promising alternative.The system consists of two parts.The first is a dialog interface that accepts information from farmers about their current farming practices.The second part is an intelligent decision system,which categorizes the information provided by farmers in two categories.The first consists of onfarm constraints,such as fertilizer resources,split application times and seasons.The second comprises knowledge-based practices by farmers,such as nutrient in-and output balance,ratios of different nutrients and the ratios of each split nutrient amount to the total nutrient input.The interactive knowledge learning approach aims to identify and rectify incorrect practices in the knowledge-based category while considering the farmer's available finance,labor,and fertilizer resources.Investigations show that the interactive knowledge learning approach can make a strong contribution to prevention of the overuse of nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers,and mitigating agricultural non-point sourcepollution.

Anti-Attacking Modeling and Analysis of Cyberspace Mimic DNS

With the rapid development of information technology,the cyberspace security problem is increasingly serious.Kinds of dynamic defense technology have emerged such as moving target defense and mimic defense.This paper aims to describe the architecture and analyze the performance of Cyberspace Mimic DNS based on generalized stochastic Petri net.We propose a general method of anti-attacking analysis.For general attack and special attack model,the available probability,escaped probability and nonspecial awareness probability are adopted to quantitatively analyze the system performance.And we expand the GSPN model to adjust to engineering practice by specifying randomness of different output vectors.The result shows that the proposed method is effective,and Mimic system has high anti-attacking performance.To deal with the special attack,we can integrate the traditional defense mechanism in engineering practice.Besides,we analyze the performance of mimic DNSframework based on multi-ruling proxy and input-output desperation,the results represent we can use multi ruling or high-speed cache servers to achieve the consistent cost of delay,throughput compared with single authorized DNS,it can effectively solve 10%to 20%performance loss caused by general ruling proxy.

The recent era of fast optical manipulation and optical devices owe a lot to exciton-polaritons being lighter in mass,faster in speed and stronger in nonlinearity due to hybrid light-matter characteristics.The room temperature existence of polaritons in two dimensional materials opens up new avenues to the design and analysis of all optical devices and has gained the researchers attention.Here,spin-selective optical Stark effect is introduced to form a waveguide effect in uniform community of polaritons,and is used to realize polarization modulation of polaritons.The proposed device basically takes advantage of the spin-sensitive properties of optical Stark effect of polaritons inside the WS_(2)microcavity so as to guide different modes and modulate polarization of polaritons.It is shown that polaritonic wavepacket of different mode profiles can be generated by changing intensity of the optical Stark beam and the polarization of polaritons can be controlled and changed periodically along the formed waveguide by introduction birefringence that is sensitive to polarization degree of the optical Stark beam.

Terahertz bound states in the continuum with incident angle robustness induced by a dual period metagrating

Metasurface-empowered bound state in the continuum(BIC)provides a unique route for fascinating functional devices with infinitely high quality factors.This method is particularly attractive to the terahertz community because it may essentially solve the deficiencies in terahertz filters,sensors,lasers,and nonlinear sources.However,most BIC metasurfaces are limited to specified incident angles that seriously dim their application prospects.Here,we propose that a dual-period dielectric metagrating can support multiple families of BICs that originate from guided mode resonances in the dielectric grating and exhibit infinite quality factors at arbitrarily tilted incidence.This robustness was analyzed based on the Bloch theory and verified at tilted incident angles.We also demonstrate that inducing geometric asymmetry is an efficient way to manipulate the leakage and coupling of these BICs,which can mimic the electromagnetically induced transparency(EIT)effect in our dual-period metagrating.In this demonstration,a slow-light effect with a measured group delay of 117 ps was achieved.The incidence-insensitive BICs proposed here may greatly extend the application scenarios of the BIC effect.The high Q factor and outstanding slow-light effect in the metagrating show exciting prospects in realizing high-performance filters,sensors,and modulators for prompting terahertz applications.

Regulating the growth of lithium dendrite by coating an ultra-thin layer of gold on separator for improving the fast-charging ability of graphite anode

With the ever-growing application of lithium-ion batteries(LIBs), their fast-charging technology has attracted great interests of scientists. However, growth of lithium dendrites during fast charge of the bat teries with high energy density may pose great threats to the operation and cause serious safety issues Herein, we prepared a functional separator with an ultra-thin(20 nm) layer of Au nanoparticles deposited by evaporation coating method which could regulate growth direction and morphology of the lithium dendrites, owing to nearly zero overpotential of lithium meal nucleation on lithiated Au. Once the Li den drites are about to form on the graphite anode during fast charging(or lithiation), they plate predomi nantly on the Au deposited separator rather than on the graphite. Such selective deposition does no compromise the electrochemical performance of batteries under normal cycling. More importantly, i enables the better cycling stability of batteries at fast charge condition. The Li/Graphite cells with Au nanoparticles coated separator could cycle stably with a high areal capacity retention of 90.5% over 95 cycles at the current density of 0.72 m A cm^(-2). The functional separator provides an effective strategy to adjust lithium plating position at fast charge to ensure high safety of batteries without a compromise on the energy density of LIBs.
