Stimulus-responsive metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)can be used for designing smart ***,we report a family of rationally designed MOFs which exhibit photoresponsive chiroptical and magnetic properties at room *** this design,two specific nonphotochromic ligands are selected to construct enantiomeric MOFs,{Cu_(2)(L-mal)_(2)(bpy)_(2)(H_(2)O)·3H_(2)O}n(1)and{Cu_(2)(D-mal)_(2)(bpy)_(2)(H_(2)O)·3H_(2)O}_(n)(2)(mal=malate,bpy=4,4’−bipyridine),which can alter their color,magnetism,and chiroptics concurrently in response to *** UV or visible light irradiation,long-lived bpy−radicals are generated via photoinduced electron transfer(PET)from oxygen atoms of carboxylates and hydroxyl of malates to bpy ligands,giving rise to a 23.7%increase of magnetic susceptibility at room *** participation of the chromophores(-OH and-COO^(−))bound with the chiral carbon during the electron transfer process results in a small dipolar transition;thus,the Cotton effects of the enantiomers are weakened along with a photoinduced color *** work demonstrates that the simultaneous responses of chirality,optics,and magnetism can be achieved in a single compound at room temperature and may open up a new pathway for designing chiral stimuli-responsive materials.

This study proposes a novel short-range multitarget motion parameter estimation method based on Hough transform. The proposed method can be used for multitarget detection, motion parameter estimation, and data association. In our proposed method, the measured radial distance and Doppler frequency versus time data is mapped to the motion parameter space by Hough transform. The motion parameter space data is binarized to determine the number of targets. The unsupervised nearest neighbor clustering technique is used to determine the search space of targets. The maximum value in each search space is estimated as the motion parameter of the corresponding target. Simulation results show that the proposed method has higher parameter estimation accuracy than that of conventional methods.

Based on the undisturbed, finite thickness disk gravitational potential, we carried out 3-D Monte Carlo simulations of normal pulsars. We find that their scale height evolves in a similar way for different velocity dispersions （δv）： it first increases linearly with time, reaches a peak, then gradually decreases, and finally approaches a stable asymptotic value. The initial velocity dispersion has a very large influence on the scale height. The time evolution of the scale height is studied. When the magnetic decay age is used as the time variable, the observed scale height has a similar trend as the simulated results in the linear stage, from which we derive velocity dispersions in the range 70 - 178km s^-1, which are near the statistical result of 90 - 270km s^-1 for 92 pulsars with known transverse velocities. If the characteristic age is used as the time variable, then the observed and theoretical curves roughly agree for t 〉 10^8 yr only if av 〈 25km s^-1.

Influence of opening ratios and directions of windows on natural smoke exhaust effect in atrium buildings

In this paper,the influence of different opening ratios and different opening directions of the windows on the natural smoke exhaust was studied through a series of real fire experiments and simulation *** the open area of the window could effectively improve the overall smoke exhaust *** the top windows were open and the opening ratio increased from 19.2%to 24.3%,the optical density was decreased by 12.4%.The average smoke exhaust rate per unit area of the window did not change *** the area of the natural smoke exhaust window could effectively increase the smoke exhaust rate and improve the overall effect of smoke *** the top windows were open,the temperature rise on the top floor was 30.8%-47.5%lower while the visibility was 16.8%-21.9%higher than that when the side windows were open.

The shear behavior of the frozen soil-structure interface is important for accurately predicting the interface responses of structures adopted in the cold *** purpose of this study is to experimentally and theoretically investigate the shear behavior of frozen clay-concrete interface under engineering conditions.A large-scale direct shear apparatus with a temperature-controlled shear box is used to test the interface *** specimens consisting of a cement concrete block and frozen soil with initial water content ranging between 14.6%and 24.6%were prepared at different conditions of temperatures(15.4 to-9.8℃),shear rates(0.03-0.9 mm min^(-1)),and normal stresses(50-200 *** is found that the peak shear strength is linear developing with increasing of normal stress,initial water content,and *** increased from 67.7 to 133.3 kPa as the initial water content increased from 14.9%to 24.6%at temperature of-6.8 to-6.6℃,and it increased from 51.2 to 80.6 kPa with temperature decreasing from 15.4 to-9.8℃at initial water content of 14.6%-14.9%,furthermore it has a power law relationship with shear *** final vertical displacement increases with the decreasing temperature,and increasing initial water ***,it is slight or could be ignored at lower shear rates(e.g.0.03 mm min^(-1) and 0.15 mm min^(-1))and it is-0.25 mm and-0.28 mm at shear rate of 0.3 mm min^(-1) and 0.9 mm min^(-1),*** addition,the evolution of vertical displacement also varies with test condition,the growth rate at beginning increases with increasing initial water content and decreasing temperature or ice content,which is because of the ice film effects the particle ***,a disturbed state concept model combined with linear and nonlinear characteristics is developed to describe the interface shear *** disturbance D reflects the interface mechanical response and responds differently trend for different test conditions,increasing faster with i
