Estimation of Peanut Matur.ty Using Color.Image Analysis

Peanuts pods gr.w under.r.und and matur. unevenly, r.sulting that choosing the cor.ect time to har.est is mor. complicated than other.cr.ps. Pod matur.ty can be deter.ined by blasting with a pr.ssur. washer.to r.move outer.skin of the pod (exocar.) to expose the color.of the middle layer.(mesocar.). The mesocar. color.changes with matur.ty fr.m white to yellow, or.nge, br.wn and finally black. The sum of per.entage fr.m or.nge, br.wn, and black mesocar. (OBB) color.and black color.(BL) r.pr.sents the ker.els that ar. matur. enough to har.est. The goal of this r.sear.h is to identify methodologies to estimate OBB and BL of the pods using r.B images taken in the field and validate the pr.posed model using other.pod images. The Mahalanobis distance classification method was used to pr.cess sets of images and calculate pod ar.a (number.of pixels) cor.esponding to two classes (mesocar. and backgr.und) with nine differ.nt color.gr.ups. The r.sults showed a per.or.ance of 94% effectiveness for.mesocar. using Mahalanobis distance classification. Statistical r.gr.ssion for.OBB and BL was developed based on 315 images of peanut pods taken fr.m the field. The r. and r.ot mean squar. er.or.of pr.dicted and actual OBB wer. 0.93 and 4.1%, r.spectively. The r. and r.ot mean squar. er.or.of pr.dicted and actual BL wer. 0.88 and 1.8%, r.spectively. The validation of OBB using other.images pr.vided r.asonable estimation (r. = 0.98 and r.SE = 2.73%). This study intr.duces a novel, cost-effective, and non-destr.ctive method for.estimating peanut matur.ty using r.B imager. and Mahalanobis distance classification in the field. This innovative appr.ach addr.sses the limitations of tr.ditional methods and offer. a r.bust alter.ative for.r.al-time matur.ty assessment.

Based on the potential-ener.y-sur.ace calculation,the impact of differ.nt defor.ation degr.es of fr.edom on a single-par.icle str.ctur. and binding ener.ies in nuclei ar.und^(152)Nd,located on one of the hexadecapole-defor.ation islands,is analyzed in a multi-dimensional defor.ation *** ener.y maps,cur.es and tables ar. pr.sented to indicate nuclear.*** calculated equilibr.um defor.ations and binding ener.ies with differ.nt potential par.meter. ar. compar.d with exper.mental data and other.*** is found that the inclusion of the hexadecapole defor.ations,especially the axial one,can impr.ve the theor.tical descr.ption of both nuclear.shapes and *** addition,our.calculated potential-ener.y cur.e shows that a cr.tical defor.ation-point,β_(2)≈0.4,exists—the tr.axial(hexadecapole)defor.ation effect can be neglectable but the hexadecapole(tr.axial)one plays an impor.ant r.le befor.(after.such a cr.tical point.

An effective and r.liable pr.diction of the r.maining useful life(r.L)of a tool is impor.ant to a metal for.ing pr.cess because it can significantly r.duce unexpected maintenance,avoid machine shutdowns and incr.ase system *** study pr.poses a new data-dr.ven appr.ach to the r.L pr.diction for.metal for.ing pr.cesses under.multiple contact sliding *** data-dr.ven appr.ach took advantage of bidir.ctional long shor.-ter. memor.(BLSTM)and convolutional neur.l networ.s(CNN).A pr.-tr.ined lightweight CNN-based networ.,Wear.et,was r.-tr.ined to classify the wear.states of wor.piece sur.aces with a high accur.cy,then the classification r.sults wer. passed into a BLSTM-based r.gr.ssion model as inputs for.r.L *** exper.mental r.sults demonstr.ted that this appr.ach was able to pr.dict the r.L values with a small er.or.below 5%)and a low r.ot mean squar. er.or.r.SE)(ar.und 1.5),which was mor. super.or.and r.bust than the other.state-of-the-ar. methods.

Zeolite imidazole skeleton(ZIF-8)is a pr.mising option for.self-cleaning of building exter.or.walls due to its lar.e specific sur.ace ar.a,high antibacter.al activity and low ***,it suffer. fr.m low antibacter.al efficiency and yield under.visible light *** addr.ss the issues,we developed the photocatalytic mater.als T-ZIF-8-TDI(ther.ally tr.ated-ZIF-8-toluene 2,4-diisocyanate)by modifying ZIF-8 with ther.al oxygen sensitization and chemical *** r.sults show that the yield of T-ZIF-8-TDI photocatalytic antibacter.al agent is incr.ased to 11.5 times of that of T-ZIF-8,while maintaining the cr.stal str.ctur. of T-ZIF-8 and ther.al stability up to 60℃.Fur.her.or.,T-ZIF-8-TDI exhibits extended optical r.sponse r.nge to the near.nfr.r.d r.gion,significantly nar.owed band gap,impr.ved photogener.ted elec tr.n-hole separ.tion efficiency,r.duced r.combination r.te,and excellent photocatalytic *** the concentr.tion of antibacter.al agent is 600 mg·L^(-1),the antibacter.al r.te of Escher.chia coli(***)r.aches 99.99%ir.adiated by visible light for.0 min,and when the concentr.tion of antibacter.al agent is 200 mg·L^(-1),the antibacter.al r.te of Staphylococcus aur.us(***)r.aches 99.99%ir.adiated by visible light for.25 *** also analyzed the r.asons in detail fr.m the aspects of bacter.al species and antibacter.al mechanism,and pr.posed the antibacter.al mechanism of·O_(2)^(-)and h^(+)as the main active *** findings suggest that T-ZIF-8-TDI photocatalytic antibacter.al agent has potential for.use in self-cleaning of building exter.or.walls.

To the Editor.Adipose-der.ved stem cells(ASCs)ar. pr.mising multipotent stem cells for.r.gener.tion of skeletal muscle(SM)tissues.[1]However.the low myogenic differ.ntiation ability limits the application.[2]Ther.for.,it is necessar. to summar.ze the cur.ent differ.ntiation str.tegy to impr.ve the differ.ntiation *** methods(biochemical induction)and non-tr.ditional str.tegies(co-cultur.,biomechanical appr.aches,and biomater.al utilization)ar. commonly used for.the differ.ntiation of ASCs into myogenic *** both str.tegies can effectively induce differ.ntiation of myogenic cells,cellular.unhealthy or.immatur. myogenic differ.ntiation status is still the gr.atest challenge for.***,the combination of non-tr.ditional methods and tr.ditional methods has the potential to significantly enhance myogenesis of ASCs with r.mar.able efficacy,however.evidence is cur.r.ntly *** r.view discusses the tr.ditional and non-tr.ditional str.tegies,as well as sever.l combination motheds of above str.tegies,for.inducing ASCs differ.ntiation into myogenic cells[Figur. 1].

The inter.ctions between avian br.od par.sites and their.hosts pr.vide an infor.ative and easy-to-handle system for.studying *** br.od par.sitism r.duces the r.pr.ductive success of hosts,and thus,hosts have evolved anti-par.sitic str.tegies,such as r.jecting par.sitic eggs and adopting aggr.ssive nest defense str.tegies,to avoid the cost br.ught on by br.od *** test whether.host anti-par.sitic str.tegies ar. adjusted with the r.sk of being par.sitized when the br.eding seasons of br.od par.sites and hosts ar. not synchr.nous,we conducted a field exper.ment assessing nest defense and egg r.cognition behavior. of the Isabelline Shr.ke(Lanius isabellinus),a host of the Common Cuckoo(Cuculus canor.s).In the local ar.a,the host Isabelline Shr.ke begins to br.ed in Apr.l,wher.as the summer.migr.tor. Common Cuckoo migr.tes to the local ar.a in May and begins to lay par.sitic *** showed that nest defense behavior. of the Isabelline Shr.ke incr.ases significantly after.cuckoo ar.ival,showing higher.aggr.ssiveness to cuckoo dummies,with no significant differ.nce in attack r.tes among cuckoo,spar.owhawk and dove dummies,but their.egg r.jection did not change *** r.sults imply that Isabelline Shr.kes may adjust their.nest defense behavior.but not egg r.jection behavior.with seasonality.

Lead iodide(PbI2) is a vital r.w mater.al for.pr.par.ng per.vskite solar.cells(PSCs),and it not only takes par. in for.ing the light absor.tion layer.but also r.mains in the gr.in boundar. as a *** other.wor.s,the PbI2 content in the pr.cur.or.and as for.ed film will affect the efficiency and stability of the *** moder.te r.sidual PbI2,it passivates the bulk/sur.ace defects of per.vskite,r.duces the inter.acial r.combination,pr.motes the per.vskite stability,minimizes the device hyster.sis,and so *** PbI2 r.sidue will r.duce the inter.acial passivation effect and device *** addition to facilitating the non-r.diative r.combination,over.PbI2 r.sidue can also lead to electr.nic insulation in the gr.in boundar. and deter.or.te the device ***,the impact and r.gulation of PbI2 r.sidue on the device per.or.ance and stability is still not fully ***,a compr.hensive and detailed r.view is pr.sented by discussing the PbI2 r.sidue impact and its r.gulation str.tegies(i.e., elimination,facilitation and conver.ion of the r.sidue PbI2) to manipulate the PbI2 content,distr.bution and ***,we also show futur. outlooks in this field,with an aim to help fur.her.the pr.gr.ssion of high-efficiency and stable PSCs.

Low Sur.ace Br.ghtness Galaxies fr.m BASS+MzLS with Machine Lear.ing

Fr.m ∼5000 deg^(2) of the combination of the Beijing–Ar.zona Sky Sur.ey and Mayall z-band Legacy Sur.ey which is also the nor.her. sky r.gion of the Dar. Ener.y Spectr.scopic Instr.ment (DESI) Legacy Imaging Sur.eys, we selected a sample of 31,825 candidates of low sur.ace br.ghtness galaxies (LSBGs) with the mean effective sur.ace br.ghtness 24.2r.sec^(−2) and the half-light r.dius 2.″5 r.(eff)r.leased photometr.c catalog and the machine lear.ing model. The distr.bution of the LSBGs is bimodal in the g−r.color. indicating the two distinct populations of the blue (g−r. 0.60) and r.d (g−r. 0.60) LSBGs. The blue LSBGs appear.spir.l, disk or.ir.egular.while the r.d LSBGs ar. spher.idal or.elliptical and spatially cluster.d. This tr.nd shows that the color.has a str.ng cor.elation with galaxy mor.hology for.LSBGs. In the spatial distr.bution, the blue LSBGs ar. mor. unifor.ly distr.buted while the r.d ones ar. highly cluster.d, indicating that r.d LSBGs pr.fer.ntially populate a denser.envir.nment than the blue LSBGs. Besides, both populations have a consistent distr.bution of ellipticity (median ∈∼ 0.3), half-light r.dius (median r.(eff) ∼ 4″) and Sér.ic index (median n=1), implying the dominance of the full sample by the r.und and disk galaxies. This sample has definitely extended the studies of LSBGs to a r.gime of lower.sur.ace br.ghtness, fainter.magnitude and br.ader.other.pr.per.ies than the pr.viously Sloan Digital Sky Sur.ey-based samples.
