The lepidocrocite-type H_(1.07)Ti_(1.73)O_(4) microsized structures with a tap density of 0.88 g·cm^(-3) were prepared through the ion exchange method with K_(0.8)Li_(0.27)Ti_(1.73)O_(4) powder as the precursor,and they exhibited good rate performance and outstanding cycle stability as an anode material for lithium ion batteries(LIB).The ion exchange method provides favorable conditions for H_(1.07)Ti_(1.73)O_(4) as an anode electrode material for LIBs.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)result demonstrates the existence of defects in the nonstoichiometric H1.07Ti1.73O4,which have a beneficial effect on the LIB *** electrochemical performance test proves that the half-cell with microsized H_(1.07)Ti_(1.73)O_(4)as the anode electrode can maintain a specific capacity of 129.5 mAh·g^(-1) after 1100 cycles and 101 mAh·g^(-1)after 3000 long cycles at high current densities of 2.0 and 5.0 A·g^(-1),*** addition,the small volume change rate of 3.6%in H_(1.07)Ti_(1.73)O_(4)during Li ion insertion was confirmed by real-time in situ transmission electron microscopy(TEM).The LiFePO_(4)||H_(1.07)Ti_(1.73)O_(4)full battery exhibits a longterm cycling stability with a specific capacity of73.8 mAh·g^(-1) at a current density of 500 mA·g^(-1) after 200 cycles.

BACKGROUND: Hepatitis B related end-stage liver disease is recently acknowledged as one of the main indications for orthotopic liver transplantation (OLT). However, the high recurrence rate of hepatitis B virus infection following transplantation is regarded as a major factor affecting the long-term survival of transplant recipients especially in Chi- na. Cyclosporine A (CsA), which is routinely used to pre- vent the allograft rejection, is reported to have the inhibito- ry activity on hepatitis B virus (HBV) replication in vitro. In this paper, we review the inhibitory effect and its possi- ble mechanisms of CsA on HBV replication in vitro. DATA RESOURCES: An English-language literature search was conducted using MEDLINE (1990-2004) on cyclospo- rine A, hepatitis B virus, mitochondria, calcium and other related reports and review articles. RESULTS: Hepatitis B x protein (HBx) is essential to HBV replication. The cytosolic calcium signaling mediated by mitochondria and the Src kinase pathway were involved during HBx activation of HBV replication. CsA inhibits the HBV replication in vitro by its binding to mitochondrial cy- clophilin D, then blocking the mitochondria-mediated cy- tosolic calcium signaling. The derivates of CsA also have the HBV replication inhibitory effect in vitro. CONCLUSIONS; By interacting with mitochondria, pre- venting the release of intramitochondrial calcium, and then blocking the cytosolic calcium signaling, CsA inhibits the HBV replication in vitro. The derivates of CsA also have this activity.

The synergistic influences of boron,oxygen,and titanium on growing large single-crystal diamonds are studied using different concentrations of B_(2)O_(3) in a solvent-carbon system under 5.5 GPa-5.7 GPa and 1300℃-1500℃.It is found that the boron atoms are difficult to enter into the crystal when boron and oxygen impurities are doped using B_(2)O_(3) without the addition of Ti ***,high boron content is achieved in the doped diamonds that were synthesized with the addition of ***,boron-oxygen complexes are found on the surface of the crystal,and oxygen-related impurities appear in the crystal interior when Ti atoms are added into the FeNi-C *** results show that the introduction of Ti atoms into the synthesis cavity can effectively control the number of boron atoms and the number of oxygen atoms in the *** has important scientific significance not only for understanding the synergistic influence of boron,oxygen,and titanium atoms on the growth of diamond in the earth,but also for preparing the high-concentration boron or oxygen containing semiconductor diamond technologies.

Zinc oxide(ZnO)serves as a crucial functional semiconductor with a wide direct bandgap of approximately 3.37 *** reaction is commonly used in the synthesis of ZnO micro/nanostructures,given its low cost,simplicity,and easy ***,ZnO morphology engineering has become desirable through the alteration of minor conditions in the reaction process,particularly at room *** this work,ZnO micro/nanostructures were synthesized in a solution by varying the amounts of the ammonia added at low temperatures(including room temperature).The formation of Zn^(2+)complexes by ammonia in the precursor regulated the reaction rate of the morphology engineering of ZnO,which resulted in various structures,such as nanoparticles,nanosheets,microflowers,and single ***,the obtained ZnO was used in the optoelectronic application of ultraviolet detectors.

This study presents a novel method to fabricate metal-decorated,sulfur-doped layered double hydroxides （M/SLDH） through spontaneous redox and sulfurization *** developed Ag/SLDH and Pt/SLDH catalysts with abundant heterogeneous interfaces and hierarchical nanostructures demonstrated outstanding oxygen evolution reaction （OER） and hydrogen evolution reaction （HER） performance,achieving low overpotentials of 212 and 35 mV at 10 mA cm-2in 1 M KOH,*** both anode and cathode in water splitting,they required only 1.47 V to reach 10 mA cm-2and exhibited high structural robustness,maintaining stability at 1000 mA cm-2for 300 ***-situ Raman analysis revealed that the synergistic effects of metal nanoparticles and S doping significantly promote the transformation into the S-Co1-xFexOOH layer,which serves as the active phase for water ***,ultraviolet photoelectron spectroscopy （UPS） and density functional theory （DFT） analyses indicated that incorporating metal nanoparticles and S doping increase electron density near the Fermi level and reduce reaction energy barriers,thus enhancing intrinsic OER and HER *** study provides a scalable strategy for synthesizing high-performance electrocatalysts for water splitting,with promising potential for broader applications.

Alzheimer's disease is an age-related neurodegenerative disorder with a complex and incompletely understood pathogenesis. Despite extensive research, a cure for Alzheimer's disease has not yet been found. Oxidative stress mediates excessive oxidative responses, and its involvement in Alzheimer's disease pathogenesis as a primary or secondary pathological event is widely accepted. As a member of the selenium-containing antioxidant enzyme family, glutathione peroxidase 4 reduces esterified phospholipid hydroperoxides to maintain cellular redox homeostasis. With the discovery of ferroptosis, the central role of glutathione peroxidase 4 in anti-lipid peroxidation in several diseases, including Alzheimer's disease, has received widespread attention. Increasing evidence suggests that glutathione peroxidase 4 expression is inhibited in the Alzheimer's disease brain, resulting in oxidative stress, inflammation, ferroptosis, and apoptosis, which are closely associated with pathological damage in Alzheimer's disease. Several therapeutic approaches, such as small molecule drugs, natural plant products, and non-pharmacological treatments, ameliorate pathological damage and cognitive function in Alzheimer's disease by promoting glutathione peroxidase 4 expression and enhancing glutathione peroxidase 4 activity. Therefore, glutathione peroxidase 4 upregulation may be a promising strategy for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. This review provides an overview of the gene structure, biological functions, and regulatory mechanisms of glutathione peroxidase 4, a discussion on the important role of glutathione peroxidase 4 in pathological events closely related to Alzheimer's disease, and a summary of the advances in small-molecule drugs, natural plant products, and non-pharmacological therapies targeting glutathione peroxidase 4 for the treatment of Alzheimer's disease. Carbon materials are widely recognized as highly promising electrode materials for various energy storage system *** tar residues(CTR),as a type of carbon-rich solid waste with high value-added utilization,are crucially important for the development of a more sustainable *** this study,we employed a straightforward direct carbonization method within the temperature range of 700-1000℃to convert the worthless solid waste CTR into economically valuable carbon materials as anodes for potassium-ion batteries(PIBs).The effect of carbonization temperature on the microstructure and the potassium ions storage properties of CTR-derived carbons(CTRCs)were systematically explored by structural and morphological characterization,alongside electrochemical performances *** on the co-regulation between the turbine layers,crystal structure,pore structure,functional groups,and electrical conductivity of CTR-derived carbon carbonized at 900℃(CTRC-900H),the electrode material with high reversible capacity of 265.6m Ah·g^(-1)at 50 m A·g^(-1),a desirable cycling stability with 93.8%capacity retention even after 100 cycles,and the remarkable rate performance for PIBs were ***,cyclic voltammetry(CV)at different scan rates and galvanostatic intermittent titration technique(GITT)have been employed to explore the potassium ions storage mechanism and electrochemical kinetics of *** indicate that the electrode behavior is predominantly governed by surface-induced capacitive processes,particularly under high current densities,with the potassium storage mechanism characterized by an“adsorption-weak intercalation”*** work highlights the potential of CTR-based carbon as a promising electrode material category suitable for high-performance PIBs electrodes,while also provides valuable insights into the new avenues for the high value-added utilization of CTR.
