Developing high activity,low-cost and long durability catalysts for oxygen reduction reaction is of great significance for the practical application of microbial fuel *** ftill exposure of active sites in catalysts can enhance catalytic activity ***,novel Fe-N-doped graphene is successftilly synthesized via a one-step in situ ball milling *** graphite,ball milling graphene,N-doped graphene and Fe-N-doped graphene are applied in air cathodes,and enhanced performance is observed in microbial fuel cells with graphene-based ***,Fe-Ndoped graphene achieves the highest oxygen reduction reaction activity,with a maximum power density of 1380±20 mW/m^2 in microbial fUel cells and a current density of 23.8 A/m^2 at-0.16 V in electrochemical tests,which are comparable to commercial Pt and 390%and 640%of those of pristine *** investigation of the material characteristics reveals that the superior performance of Fe-Ndoped graphene results from the full exposure of Fe2O3 nanoparticles,pyrrolic N,pyridinic N and excellent Fe-N-G active sites on the graphene *** work not only suggests the strategy of maximally exposing active sites to optimize the potential of catalysts but also provides promising catalysts for the use of microbial fuel cells in sustainable energy generation.

A new bromethyl-substituted molecular rotor, [Cu（dabcoCH2Br）（H2O）Br3] （dabcoCH2Br＋=1-（2-bromethyl）-1,4-diazoniabi- cyclo[2.2.2]octane cation）, which belongs to a family of balomethyl-substituted molecular rotors, was synthesized and struc- turally characterized. The reversible phase transition at ca. 250 K was well established for this molecular rotor by thermal analyses, variable-temperature X-ray diffraction, and variable temperature dielectric measurements. The order-disorder trans- formation of the rotator part （dabco moiety） causes ferroelastic phase transition with an Aizu notation of mmmF2/m from high- temperature orthorhombic phase （Pbnm） to low-temperature monoclinic phase （P21/n）. More important, in reference to the density functional theory calculations and structural analyses, the key factors to tune the phase transition behaviors were dis- cussed in detail for this family of halomethyl-substituted molecular rotors.

Power-over-fiber technology provides several advantages for harsh industrial application and can potentially be widely used in electric power system. In this paper, a reliable power-over-fiber system is presented, which is able to adjust the optical power automatically corresponding to the variance of the output load. An optic-electric feedback energy management scheme is designed and experimentally verified. The static and dynamic responses of the system towards load variances are further tested. The results show that the working status of the laser can be dynamically changed according to the output load, rather than maintaining the laser at the status of high-power output, which will potentially prolong the life and enhance the reliability of the system.

Efficient removal of non-biodegradable and hazardous dyes from wastewater remains a hot research ***,a rationally designed a Cu(Ⅱ)-based metal–organic gel(Cu-MOG)with a nanoporous 3 D network structure prepared via a simple one-step mixing method was successfully employed for the removal of cationic *** Cu-MOG exhibited high efficiency,with an adsorption capacity of up to 650.32 mg/g,and rapid adsorption efficiency,with the ability to adsorb 80%of Neutral Red within 1 *** high adsorption efficiency was attributed to its large specific surface area,which enabled it to massively bind cationic dyes through electrostatic interaction,and a nanoporous structure that promoted intra-pore ***,the Cu-MOG displayed size-selective adsorption,based on adsorption studies concerning dyes of different sizes as calculated by density functional ***,the adsorption performance of the Cu-MOG still maintained removal efficiency of 100%after three regeneration *** results suggested that the Cu-MOG could be expected to be a promising and competitive candidate to conveniently process wastewater.

The shear behavior of the frozen soil-structure interface is important for accurately predicting the interface responses of structures adopted in the cold *** purpose of this study is to experimentally and theoretically investigate the shear behavior of frozen clay-concrete interface under engineering conditions.A large-scale direct shear apparatus with a temperature-controlled shear box is used to test the interface *** specimens consisting of a cement concrete block and frozen soil with initial water content ranging between 14.6%and 24.6%were prepared at different conditions of temperatures(15.4 to-9.8℃),shear rates(0.03-0.9 mm min^(-1)),and normal stresses(50-200 *** is found that the peak shear strength is linear developing with increasing of normal stress,initial water content,and *** increased from 67.7 to 133.3 kPa as the initial water content increased from 14.9%to 24.6%at temperature of-6.8 to-6.6℃,and it increased from 51.2 to 80.6 kPa with temperature decreasing from 15.4 to-9.8℃at initial water content of 14.6%-14.9%,furthermore it has a power law relationship with shear *** final vertical displacement increases with the decreasing temperature,and increasing initial water ***,it is slight or could be ignored at lower shear rates(e.g.0.03 mm min^(-1) and 0.15 mm min^(-1))and it is-0.25 mm and-0.28 mm at shear rate of 0.3 mm min^(-1) and 0.9 mm min^(-1),*** addition,the evolution of vertical displacement also varies with test condition,the growth rate at beginning increases with increasing initial water content and decreasing temperature or ice content,which is because of the ice film effects the particle ***,a disturbed state concept model combined with linear and nonlinear characteristics is developed to describe the interface shear *** disturbance D reflects the interface mechanical response and responds differently trend for different test conditions,increasing faster with i

The remnants of two gamma-ray bursts, GRB 030329 and GRB 041227, have been resolved by Very Long Baseline Interferometry observations. The radio counterparts were observed to expand with time. These observations provide an important way to test the dynamics of the standard fireball model. We show that the observed size evolution of these two events cannot be explained by a simple jet model, rather, it can be satisfactorily explained by the two-component jet model. It strongly hints that gamma-ray burst ejecta may have complicated structures.

The prescription“huang's SiYu Pill”(HSYP)was founded by professor huang Haibo,a famous traditional Chinese medicine in Inner Mongolia,based on long-term clinical *** this study we observed the effects of HYSP on sperm quality,hormone level and the expression level of reproductive related genes and proteins in testicular stromal cells of rats with kidney-yin deficiency to explore the therapeutic mechanism of HSYP in the treatment of infertility with kidney-yin deficiency,Liuwei Dihuang Pill group(LDP)and Tamoxifen Citrate Tablets combined with Pancreatic Kallidinogenase Enteric Coated Tablets were used to be the positive control *** 25 days of medicine administration,the animals were anesthetized and killed,the serum and testicular tissues were retained for further *** ELISA results showed that HSYP had a better effect on increasing serum FSH level than the conventional Chinese medicine or western medicine,while there was no remarkable difference in the regulation of serum LH in each administration *** results of RT-qPCR showed that the transcription levels of Cyp11a1,Hsd3b1,Lhcgr and Star genes in the medium and high dose groups of HSYP were significantly upregulated compared with the model group of kidney-yin deficiency,while the expression of Nr5a1 gene was not significantly *** results of HE and immunohistochemistry showed that HSYP significantly improved the development level of testicular stromal cells and promoted the expression levels of CYP11A1 and HSD11B1 in testicular stromal cells,compared with the model group of kidney-yin ***,our results showed that huang's SiYu Pills can significantly improve the development and function of Leydig cells in SD rats with kidney-yin deficiency model,which provided a good research basis for deep research on relevant pharmacological mechanisms of the medicine.

The inner fission barriers of the even-even uranium isotopes from the proton to the neutron drip line are examined using the deformed relativistic Hartree-Bogoliubov theory in continuum.A periodic-like evolution for the ground state shapes is shown with respect to the neutron number,i.e.,spherical shapes at shell closures 126,184,258,and prolate dominated shapes between *** to the shape evolution,the inner fission barriers also exhibit a periodic-like behavior:peaks at the shell closures and valleys in the *** triaxial effect on the inner fission barrier is evaluated using triaxial relativistic mean field calculations combined with a simple BCS method for *** the triaxial correction is included,the inner barrier heights show good consistency with available empirical ***,the evolution from the proton to the neutron drip line aligns with results from the multi-dimensionally constrained relativistic mean field theory.A flat valley in the fission barrier height is predicted around the neutron-rich nucleus U which may play a role of fission recycling in astrophysical r-process nucleosynthesis.

China has planned and built several world-class cascade high dams in Jinsha River,Dadu River,Lancang River,and Yarlung Zangbo *** complex geological conditions in the reservoir area and numerous large-scale landslide bodies make the potential disaster risk of overflowing and cascade dam failure caused by landslide-generated tsunami under increasing severe ***,the study on describing and predicting the complex dynamic processes of generation,propagation,overflowing,wave setup,and the interaction between tsunami and lakeshore has not been systematically carried *** on the high-order Boussinesq-type equations,the development of the dynamic system of tsunamis in lakes coupled with the landslide process is realized using the finite volume method in this *** verify the accuracy and reliability of the study,the Xiluodu Reservoir is selected as the object to simulate the potential landslide-generated *** factors such as the generation and propagation of tsunamis,dam overflowing,and wave setup in the downstream river are quantitatively evaluated and *** constructed landslide with a total volume of 24×10^(6)m^(3)generates a near-field wave amplitude of about 28 *** maximum wave run-up height is about 95 m,the volume of the dam overflowing water up to 2.13×10^(6)m^(3),and the maximum wave height above the dam crest presents an M-shaped *** LGWs event raises the downstream water level by nearly 40 *** results show that the risk of landslide-generated tsunamis in the reservoir area in China cannot be *** developed Boussinesq-type equations coupled with the landslide dynamics can simulate the whole process of generation,propagation,runup,and estimating the overflowing water volume of the tsunamis in the lake,laying a foundation for the quantitative risk assessment of tsunamis in lakes of high cascade dams in China.

Developing electrocatalysts with fast kinetics and long-term stability for alkaline hydrogen oxidation reaction(HOR)and hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is of considerable importance for the industrial production of green and sustainable ***,an ultrathin Ir-Sb nanowires(Ir-Sb NWs)protected by antimony oxides(SbO_(x))was synthesized as an efficient bifunctional catalyst for both HOR and HER under alkaline *** from the much higher mass activities of Ir-Sb nanowires than those of Ir nanowires(Ir NWs)and commercial Pt/C,the SbO_(x) protective layer also contributes to the maintenance of morphology and anti-CO poisoning ability,leading to the long-term cycling performance in the presence of ***,the Ir-Sb NW/SbO_(x) exhibits the highest catalytic activities,which are about 3.5 and 4.8 times to those of Ir NW/C and commercial Pt/C toward HOR,*** work provides that the ultrathin morphology and H_(2)O-occupied Sb sites can exert the intrinsic high activity of Ir and effectively optimize the absorption of OH*both in alkaline HER/HOR electrolysis.
