Mapping multiple phases in curcumin binary solid dispersions by fluorescence contrasting

The microphases and miscibility in binary curcumin(Cur)solid dispersions(SDs)with amorphous polyvinylpyrrolidone K30(PVP K30)and semi-crystalline poloxamer(P407)and poly(ethylene glycol)6000(PEG6000)as carriers were investigated by fluorescence contrasting utilizing confocal laser scanning microscopy.A super sensitive fluorophore P4 with typical aggregation-caused quenching properties was employed to stain the continuous polymer phases and contrasted with the autofluorescence of the model drug *** addition,differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)and powder X-ray diffraction(PXRD)were utilized to assist in explanation of the fluorescence *** all three SD systems,there is always a homogenous polymer phase stained by P4 and it is difficult to adulterate Cur crystals by ***-enriched rather than polymer-enriched domains could be *** the Cur-PVP K30 system,Cur exists in an amorphous form at a Cur loading level of 50%and below,while Cur crystallines phase out and continuously grow with the increase of Cur loading from 60%to 90%.The phase behaviors in the Cur-P407 and Cur-PEG 6000 systems are similar but with minor *** both systems,Cur phases out as clusters of drug-enriched domains at a loading level of 20%and below,which however cannot be correlated with crystallization,as evidenced by both DSC and *** is a transition from an amorphous to a crystalline state from 20%to 30%Cur loading,above which Cur crystallines can be *** is interesting that a co-mix phase of both Cur-and PEG 6000-enriched domains can be identified at Cur loading levels of 10%and *** together,it is concluded that contrasting Cur autofluorescence with the signals of P4 proves to be a functional strategy to reveal multiple phases in the binary SD systems investigated.

RNA m6A dynamic modification mediated by nucleuslocalized FTO is involved in follicular reserve

In eukaryotic organisms,the most common internal modification of messenger RNA(m RNA)is N6-methyladenosine(m6A).This modification can be dynamically and reversibly controlled by specific enzymes known as m6A writers and *** fat-mass and obesity-associated protein(FTO)catalyzes RNA demethylation and plays a critical role in various physiological and pathological *** research identified dynamic alterations in both m6A and FTO during the assembly of primordial follicles,with an inverse relationship observed for m6A levels and nuclear-localized FTO *** of Fto small interfering RNA(si RNA)altered the expression of genes related to cell proliferation,hormone regulation,and cell chemotaxis,and affected RNA alternative *** of the full-length Fto gene led to changes in m6A levels,alternative splicing of Cdk5,cell proliferation,cell cycle progression,and proportion of primordial ***,overexpression of Fto lacking a nuclear localization signal(NLS)did not significantly alter m6A levels or primordial follicle *** findings suggest that FTO,localized in the nucleus but not in the cytoplasm,regulates RNA m6A demethylation and plays a role in cell proliferation,cell cycle progression,and primordial follicle *** results highlight the potential of m6A and its eraser FTO as possible biomarkers and therapeutic targets.

Joint Planning of Active Distribution Network and EV Charging Stations Considering Vehicle-to-Grid Functionality and Reactive Power Support

This paper proposes a collaborative planning model for active distribution network(ADN)and electric vehicle(EV)charging stations that fully considers vehicle-to-grid(V2G)function and reactive power support of EVs in different *** paper employs a sequential decomposition method based on physical characteristics of the problem,breaking down the holistic problem into two sub-problems for *** I optimizes the charging and discharging behavior of autopilot electric vehicles(AEVs)using a mixed-integer linear programming(MILP)*** II uses a mixed-integer secondorder cone programming(MISOCP)model to plan ADN and retrofit or construct V2G charging stations(V2GCS),as well as multiple distributed generation resources(DGRs).The paper also analyzes the impact of bi-directional active-reactive power interaction of V2GCS on ADN *** presented model is tested in the 47-node ADN in Longgang District,shenzhen,China,and the IEEE 33-node ADN,demonstrating that decomposition can significantly improve the speed of solving large-scale problems while maintaining accuracy with low AEV penetration.

Immune checkpoint blockade(ICB)has emerged as a promising immunotherapeutic modality against cancer in the ***,only 10-30%of patients respond to ICB,primarily due to poor immunogenicity and insufficient T cell infiltration in solid ***,we presented an approach for high-performance cancer treatment using the programmed cell death protein-1 and programmed cell death ligand-1(PD-1/PD-L1)inhibitor(BMS-202)-loaded PEGylated graphene oxide(GPi).On the one hand,GPi dissociated tight junctions of vascular endothelial cells(VECs)in tumor,thus promoting the extravasation and intratumoral accumulation of liposomal doxorubicin(LipDox),which then effectively induced immunogenic cell death of tumor *** the other hand,GPi also stimulated VECs to upregulate the expression of cell-cell interaction molecules,such as intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1 and vascular cell adhesion molecule-1,which facilitated the infiltration of T cells in *** acting as a stimulator of VECs,GPi could exert responsive release of BMS-202 under the acidic tumor microenvironment and blockade PD-1/PD-L1 axis in ***,the alternating administration of GPi and LipDox effectively inhibited tumor growth in a 4T1 tumor model,providing a novel treatment mode for chemo-immunotherapy.

ProNet Adaptive Retinal Vessel Segmentation Algorithm Based on Improved UperNet Network

This paper proposes a new network structure,namely the ProNet *** medical image segmentation can help clinical diagnosis of related eye diseases and is essential for subsequent rational *** baseline model of the ProNet network is UperNet(Unified perceptual parsing Network),and the backbone network is ConvNext(Convolutional Network).A network structure based on depth-separable convolution and 1×1 convolution is used,which has good performance and *** further optimise ProNet mainly in two *** is data enhancement using increased noise and slight angle rotation,which can significantly increase the diversity of data and help the model better learn the patterns and features of the data and improve the model’s ***,it can effectively expand the training data set,reduce the influence of noise and abnormal data in the data set on the model,and improve the accuracy and reliability of the *** is the loss function aspect,and we finally use the focal loss *** focal loss function is well suited for complex tasks such as object *** function will penalise the loss carried by samples that the model misclassifies,thus enabling better training of the model to avoid these errors while solving the category imbalance problem as a way to improve image segmentation density and segmentation *** the experimental results,the evaluation metrics mIoU(mean Intersection over Union)enhanced by 4.47%,and mDice enhanced by 2.92% compared to the baseline *** generalization effects and more accurate image segmentation are achieved.

A Novel Locomotion Rule Rmbedding Long Short-Term Memory Network with Attention for Human Locomotor Intent Classification Using Multi-Sensors Signals

Locomotor intent classification has become a research hotspot due to its importance to the development of assistive robotics and wearable *** work have achieved impressive performance in classifying steady locomotion ***,it remains challenging for these methods to attain high accuracy when facing transitions between steady locomotion *** to the similarities between the information of the transitions and their adjacent steady ***,most of these methods rely solely on data and overlook the objective laws between physical activities,resulting in lower accuracy,particularly when encountering complex locomotion modes such as *** address the existing deficiencies,we propose the locomotion rule embedding long short-term memory(LSTM)network with Attention(LREAL)for human locomotor intent classification,with a particular focus on transitions,using data from fewer sensors(two inertial measurement units and four goniometers).The LREAL network consists of two levels:One responsible for distinguishing between steady states and transitions,and the other for the accurate identification of locomotor *** classifier in these levels is composed of multiple-LSTM layers and an attention *** introduce real-world motion rules and apply constraints to the network,a prior knowledge was added to the network via a rule-modulating *** method was tested on the ENABL3S dataset,which contains continuous locomotion date for seven steady and twelve transitions *** results showed that the LREAL network could recognize locomotor intents with an average accuracy of 99.03%and 96.52%for the steady and transitions states,*** is worth noting that the LREAL network accuracy for transition-state recognition improved by 0.18%compared to other state-of-the-art network,while using data from fewer sensors.

Enhance the Performance of Directional Feature-based Palmprint Recognition by Directional Response Stability Measurement

Palmprint recognition is an emerging biometrics technology that has attracted increasing attention in recent years. Many palmprint recognition methods have been proposed, including traditional methods and deep learning-based methods. Among the traditional methods, the methods based on directional features are mainstream because they have high recognition rates and are robust to illumination changes and small noises. However, to date, in these methods, the stability of the palmprint directional response has not been deeply studied. In this paper, we analyse the problem of directional response instability in palmprint recognition methods based on directional feature. We then propose a novel palmprint directional response stability measurement (DRSM) to judge the stability of the directional feature of each pixel. After filtering the palmprint image with the filter bank, we design DRSM according to the relationship between the maximum response value and other response values for each pixel. Using DRSM, we can judge those pixels with unstable directional response and use a specially designed encoding mode related to a specific method. We insert the DRSM mechanism into seven classical methods based on directional feature, and conduct many experiments on six public palmprint databases. The experimental results show that the DRSM mechanism can effectively improve the performance of these methods. In the field of palmprint recognition, this work is the first in-depth study on the stability of the palmprint directional response, so this paper has strong reference value for research on palmprint recognition methods based on directional features.
