AIM:To investigate the role of FAT10 and mutant p53 in the pathogenesis,severity and prognosis of gastric ***:FAT10,mutant p53 mRNA and protein levels were measured by reverse transcription(RT)-PCR and immunohistochemistry in gastric cancer tissue(n = 62),tumoradjacent tissue(n = 62) and normal gastric tissue(n = 62).Relation of FAT10 and mutant p53 expression with clinicopathological features and clinical outcomes of gastric cancer patients were ***:The FAT10,mutant p53 mRNA and protein levels were signif icantly higher in gastric cancer than in its adjacent and normal *** FAT10 and mutant p53 levels in gastric cancer tissue were significantly correlated with lymph node metastasis and tumor,nodes,metastasis(TNM) ***,the high FAT10 level was associated with the overall survival rate of *** Cox-proportional hazards model analysis showed that mRNA and protein levels of FAT10 and mutant p53,lymph node metastasis,distant metastasis and TNM stage were the independent prognostic factors for gastric ***:FAT10 may be involved in gastric carcinogenesis,and is a potential marker for the prognosis of gastric cancer ***10 and mutant p53 may play a common role in the carcinogenesis of gastric cancer.

This paper proposes a practical algorithms of plane cutting, stereo clipping and arbitrary cutting for 3D surface model reconstructed from medical images. In plane cutting and stereo clipping algorithms, the 3D model is cut by plane or polyhedron. Lists of edge and vertex in every cut plane are established. From these lists the boundary contours are created and their relationship of embrace is ascertained. The region closed by the contours is triangulated using Delaunay triangulation algorithm. Arbitrary cutting operation creates cutting curve interactively. The cut model still maintains its correct topology structure. With these operations, tissues inside can be observed easily and it can aid doctors to diagnose. The methods can also be used in surgery planning of radiotherapy.

BACKGROUND:Budd-Chiari syndrome (B-CS) refers to post-hepatic portal hypertension and/or inferior vena cava hypertension caused by obstruction of blood flow at the portal cardinal hepatic *** treatments of B-CS include operations on pathological membrane lesions,shunting and combined *** have shown that China,Japan,India and South Africa have a high incidence of *** China,the Yellow River Basin in Henan,Shandong,Jiangsu and Anhui Provinces also have a high incidence,around 10 per 100 ***:The clinical data of 221 B-CS patients were analyzed *** focused on pathological types,surgical methods,effectiveness and complications of treatment,and ***:Based on imaging findings such as color ultrasonography,angiography or magnetic resonance angiography,the 221 patients were divided into 3 types (five subtypes):type Ia (72 patients),type Ib (20),type II (72),type IIIa (33),and type IIIb (24).Surgical procedures included balloon membranotomy with or without stent (65 patients),improved splenopneumopexy (18),radical resection of membrane and thrombus (17),inferior vena cava bypass [29,with cavocaval transflow (13) and cavoatrial transflow (16)],mesocaval shunt (41),splenocaval shunt (25),splenoatrial shunt (12),splenojugular shunt (6),and combined methods (8).The complication rate was 9.05% (20/221) and the perioperative death rate was 2.26% (5/221).All of the patients were followed up from 6 months to 5 *** success rate was 84.6% (187/221),and the recurrence rate was 8.9% (9/101) and 13.5% (13/96) after 1-and 5-year follow-up,***:The rational choice of surgical treatment based on B-CS pathological typing may increase the success rate and decrease the recurrence.

The methanol-to-olefins（MTO） reaction offers an alternative pathway for the production of low-carbon olefins from non-oil feedstocks. Fundamental research has been impeded by a lack of comprehensive understanding of its underlying mechanism,despite the significant progress made in industry. In-situ solid-state nuclear magnetic resonance（ss NMR） spectroscopy has emerged as a pivotal tool, offering crucial insights into key species under real-time operando conditions. Furthermore, the host–guest interaction between zeolites or surface species residing on zeolites and the reactant/active intermediates is revealed by the combination of in-situ13C MAS NMR and 2D correlation spectroscopy. Moreover, recent technological advancements in hyperpolarization（HP） methods, including HP129Xe NMR and dynamic nuclear polarization（DNP）, have significantly improved the sensitivity of ss NMR, enabling detailed structural and kinetic analysis as well as the detection of trace species. In this feature article, we summarized recent advancements in（in-situ） ss NMR spectroscopy applied to MTO reaction processes,encompassing mechanistic investigations at various stages and the intricate host–guest interactions. These theoretical insights into the dynamic evolution of MTO reactions lay a solid foundation for the optimization of catalytic processes and the development of efficient catalysts, thereby advancing the techniques towards more sustainable and economical production route for olefins.

Mangroves are crucial to the ecological security of the Earth and human well-being. Their management, conservation, and restoration are of great importance and necessitate the support of spatio-temporal information and multidisciplinary knowledge such as biology and ecology. Traditional knowledge services such as plant atlas provide illustrated textual knowledge of mangroves. However, this kind of service is oriented to information retrieval and is incapable of effectively mining and utilizing fragmented knowledge from multi-source heterogeneous data, facing the problem of “massive data, rare knowledge”. Knowledge graphs are capable of extracting, organizing, and fusing the knowledge contained in massive data into semantic networks that can be understood and computed by computers. They provide a solution for the realization of intelligent knowledge services. Focusing on the urgent need for mangrove knowledge acquisition, formal representation, and intelligent services, this paper proposes a research prospect on mangrove knowledge graphs and knowledge services. We first analyze the similarities and differences between various domain-specific concepts of Tupu. On this basis, we define the mangrove knowledge graph as a large-scale knowledge base that integrates multi-disciplinary knowledge and spatio-temporal information with mangrove ecosystems as the core. Then, we propose a research framework for mangrove knowledge services that can realize the transformation from multi-modal data to intelligent knowledge services, including multiple research levels such as ubiquitous data sensing and aggregation, knowledge organization and graph construction, and intelligent mangrove knowledge services. Subsequently, the methods and workflow for constructing mangrove knowledge graphs are introduced. Microglial activation that occurs rapidly after closed head injury may play important and complex roles in neuroinflammation-associated neuronal damage and *** previously reported that induced neural stem cells can modulate the behavior of activated microglia via CXCL12/CXCR4 signaling,influencing their activation such that they can promote neurological ***,the mechanism of CXCR4 upregulation in induced neural stem cells remains *** this study,we found that nuclear factor-κB activation induced by closed head injury mouse serum in microglia promoted CXCL12 and tumor necrosis factor-αexpression but suppressed insulin-like growth factor-1 ***,recombinant complement receptor 2-conjugated Crry(CR2-Crry)reduced the effects of closed head injury mouse serum-induced nuclear factor-κB activation in microglia and the levels of activated microglia,CXCL12,and tumor necrosis factor-α.Additionally,we observed that,in response to stimulation(including stimulation by CXCL12 secreted by activated microglia),CXCR4 and Crry levels can be upregulated in induced neural stem cells via the interplay among CXCL12/CXCR4,Crry,and Akt signaling to modulate microglial *** agreement with these in vitro experimental results,we found that Akt activation enhanced the immunoregulatory effects of induced neural stem cell grafts on microglial activation,leading to the promotion of neurological recovery via insulin-like growth factor-1 secretion and the neuroprotective effects of induced neural stem cell grafts through CXCR4 and Crry upregulation in the injured cortices of closed head injury ***,these beneficial effects of Akt activation in induced neural stem cells were positively correlated with the therapeutic effects of induced neural stem cells on neuronal injury,cerebral edema,and neurological disorders post–closed head *** conclusion,our findings reveal that Akt activation may enhance the immunoregulatory effects of induced neura

The generation of various β-chiral sulfones bearing chiral cyclic sulfinamides through photoredox-catalyzed sulfur dioxide insertion with asymmetric radical cyclization is described. This method features a broad substrate scope and excellent stereospecificity. Computational studies reveal that the dispersion interaction between sulfinyl group and CH2SO2Ph group plays a crucial role in the stereoselectivity control.
