AIM:To investigate diabetic retinopathy(DR)prevalence in Chinese renal-biopsied type 2.diabetes mellitus(T2.M)patients with kidney dysfunction,and to further evaluate its relationship with diabetic nephropathy(DN)incidence and the risk factors for DR development in this ***:A total of 84 renal-biopsied T2.M patients were *** and imaging examinations were employed for DR *** information and clinical measures along with renal histopathology were analyzed for comparisons between the DR and non-DR *** factors on DR development were analyzed with multiple logistic ***:DR prevalence was 50%in *** incidences of DN,non-diabetic renal disease(NDRD)and mixed-type pathology were 47.6%,19.0%and 33.3%in the DR group respectively,while 11.9%,83.3%and 4.8%in the non-DR *** blood pressure,ratio of urinary albumin to creatine ratio,urinary albumin,2.-hours urinary protein,the incidence and severity of DN histopathology were found statistically increased in the DR *** logistic regression analysis showed histopathological DN incidence significantly increased the risk of DR development[odds ratio(OR)=2..664,95%confidential interval(CI)5.588 to 83.991,P2.7.611,P2.M patients inexperienced of regular fundus examinations.

Lignin is a typical biological macromolecule with a three-dimensional network structure and abundant functional groups. It has excellent ionic complexation ability and amphiphilic molecular structure *** this study, the carbon steel anticorrosion performance of sodium lignosulfonate(SLS) in an acid solution was evaluated using the weight loss method, electrochemical measurements, scanning vibration electrode technique(SVET), and surface characterization methods. SLS exhibited excellent corrosion inhibition efficiency for Q2.5carbon steel in 1 mol·L^(-1) HCl, reaching a maximum value of 98%. A low SLS concentration of 2. mg·L^(-1) resulted in the maximum corrosion inhibition efficiency, which remained nearly constant at higher SLS *** SVET test demonstrated that the formation of an SLS adsorption film can impede corrosion. This study confirms the significance of the application of green biomass resources in the field of metal corrosion protection and green functional materials.

BACKGROUND Colon cancer is acknowledged as one of the most common malignancies worldwide,ranking third in United States regarding incidence and ***,approximately 40%of colon cancer cases harbor oncogenic KRAS mutations,resulting in the continuous activation of epidermal growth factor receptor *** To investigate the key pathogenic genes in KRAS mutant colon cancer holds considerable *** weighted gene co-expression network analysis,in combination with additional bioinformatics analysis,were conducted to screen the key factors driving the progression of KRAS mutant colon ***,various in vitro experiments were also conducted to explore the biological function of transglutaminase 2.TGM2..RESULTS Integrated analysis demonstrated that TGM2.acted as an independent prognostic factor for progression-free *** analysis on tissue microarrays revealed that TGM2.was associated with an elevated probability of perineural invasion in patients with KRAS mutant colon ***,biological roles of the key gene TGM2.was also assessed,suggesting that the downregulation of TGM2.attenuated the proliferation,invasion,and migration of the KRAS mutant colon cancer cell *** This study underscores the potential significance of TGM2.in the progression of KRAS mutant colon *** insight not only offers a theoretical foundation for therapeutic approaches but also highlights the need for additional clinical trials and fundamental research to support our preliminary findings.

The rich phase behavior of block copolymers(BCPs)has drawn great attention in recent ***,the double diamond(DD)phase is rarely obtained because of the competition between the minimization of interfacial energy and packing ***,a rod-coil BCP containing mesogen-jacketed liquid crystalline polymer is designed to acquire ordered bicontinuous network *** reduction of internal energy originating from the orientational interaction among the rod blocks can compensate for the free energy penalty of packing frustration to stabilize the DD *** resulting BCP can also experience lamellae-to-DD and double gyroid-to-lamellae transitions by changing the annealing *** results make the rod-coil BCP an excellent candidate for the self-assembly of ordered network structures,demonstrating great potential in nanopatterning and metamaterials.

Through theoretical analysis,we construct a physical model that includes the influence of counter-external driven current opposite to the plasma current direction in the neoclassical tearing mode(NTM).The equation is used with this model to obtain the modified Rutherford equation with co-current and counter-current *** with the reported experimental results,numerical simulations have shown that the localized counter external current can only partially suppress NTM when it is far from the resonant magnetic *** some circumstances,the Ohkawa mechanism dominated current drive(OKCD)by electron cyclotron waves can concurrently create both co-current and *** this instance,the minimal electron cyclotron wave power that suppresses a particular NTM was calculated by the Rutherford *** result is marginally less than when taking co-current alone into *** a result,to suppress NTM using OKCD,one only needs to align the co-current with a greater OKCD peak well with the resonant magnetic *** effect of its lower counter-current does not need to be considered because the location of the counter-current deviates greatly from the resonant magnetic surface.

BACKGROUND As a well-known fact to the public,gestational diabetes mellitus(GDM)could bring serious risks for both pregnant women and *** this important investigation into the linkage between GDM patients and their altered expression in the serum,proteomics techniques were deployed to detect the differentially expressed proteins(DEPs)of in the serum of GDM patients to further explore its pathogenesis,and find out possible biomarkers to forecast GDM *** Subjects were divided into GDM and normal control groups according to the IADPSG diagnostic *** samples were randomly selected from four cases in each group at 2.-2. wk of gestation,and the blood samples were identified by applying iTRAQ technology combined with liquid chromatography-tandem mass *** proteins and signaling pathways associated with GDM were identified by bioinformatics analysis,and the expression of key proteins in serum from 12.wk to 16 wk of gestation was further verified using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA).RESULTS Forty-seven proteins were significantly differentially expressed by analyzing the serum samples between the GDMgravidas as well as the healthy ones. Among them, 31 proteins were found to be upregulated notably and the rest16 proteins were downregulated remarkably. Bioinformatic data report revealed abnormal expression of proteinsassociated with lipid metabolism, coagulation cascade activation, complement system and inflammatory responsein the GDM group. ELISA results showed that the contents of RBP4, as well as ANGPTL8, increased in the serumof GDM gravidas compared with the healthy ones, and this change was found to initiate from 12.wk to 16 wk *** GDM symptoms may involve abnormalities in lipid metabolism, coagulation cascade activation, complementsystem and inflammatory response. RBP4 and ANGPTL8 are expected to be early predictors of GDM.

MXene-contained paper is a good choice to design ultrathin and flexible electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding ***,the deficiencies in strength and stability of MXene-contained paper impede its practical ***,a composite paper was proposed to address the problems,in which a filter paper was modified with a three-layer structured surface via a facile layer-by-layer coating ***,the TEMPO-oxidized cellulose nanofibers(TOCN)/cationic starch(CS)/MXene gel layer and TOCN/MXene nacre structure layer ensured the good EMI shielding and mechanical performances of the composite paper,while the uppermost TOCN/CS hydrogel film layer mainly protected *** composite paper achieved an EMI SE of 40.3 dB at a thickness of merely 0.1894 mm(SE/t value of ca.2.2.8 dB mm^(−1),SSE/t values of ca.132.6 dB cm 2.g^(−1))and the total MXene dosage was 2. g m^(−2..Its tensile strength could be up to 11.7 MPa while the original filter paper was 6.4 *** pieces of this composite papers could be easily packed together to attain an EMI SE of nearly 70 ***,the hydrogel film layer efficiently protected the MXene and maintained the EMI shielding performance of the composite paper when immersed in different liquids including water,HCl(1 M)and ethanol,due to the dense and compact structure of hydrogel film *** work provides a practical way to develop ultrathin,flexible and durable EMI shielding materials.

A gel based on polyacrylamide,exhibiting delayed crosslinking characteristics,emerges as the preferred solution for mitigating degradation under conditions of high temperature and extended shear in ultralong *** viscosity/viscoelasticity of the fracturing fluid was required to maintain excellent proppant suspension properties before *** into account both the cost and the potential damage to reservoirs,polymers with lower concentrations and molecular weights are generally *** this work,the supramolecular action was integrated into the polymer,resulting in significant increases in the viscosity and viscoelasticity of the synthesized supramolecular polymer *** double network gel,which is formed by the combination of the supramolecular polymer system and a small quantity of Zr-crosslinker,effectively resists temperature while minimizing permeability damage to the *** results indicate that the supramolecular polymer system with a molecular weight of(2.8—380)×10^(4)g/mol can achieve the same viscosity and viscoelasticity at 0.4 wt%due to the supramolecular interaction between polymers,compared to the 0.6 wt%traditional polymer(hydrolyzed polyacrylamide,molecular weight of 1078×10^(4)g/mol).The supramolecular polymer system possessed excellent proppant suspension properties with a 0.55 cm/min sedimentation rate at 0.4 wt%,whereas the0.6 wt%traditional polymer had a rate of 0.57 cm/*** comparison to the traditional gel with a Zrcrosslinker concentration of 0.6 wt%and an elastic modulus of 7.77 Pa,the double network gel with a higher elastic modulus(9.00 Pa)could be formed only at 0.1 wt%Zr-crosslinker,which greatly reduced the amount of residue of the fluid after *** viscosity of the double network gel was66 m Pa s after 2.h shearing,whereas the traditional gel only reached 2. m Pa s.
