Failure of oocyte activation,including polyspermy and defects in pronuclear(PN)formation,triggers early embryonic developmental *** studies have shown that phospholipase C zeta 1(PLCZ1)mutations cause failure of PN formation following intracytoplasmic sperm injection(ICSI);however,whether PLCZ1 mutation is associated with polyspermy during in vitro fertilization(IVF)remains ***-exome sequencing(WES)was performed to identify candidate mutations in couples with primary *** sequencing was used to validate the *** PLCZ1-mutated sperm were injected into human and mouse oocytes to explore whether PN formation was *** oocyte activation(AOA)after ICSI was performed to overcome the failure of oocyte *** identified three PLCZ1 mutations in three patients who experienced polyspermy during IVF cycles,including a novel missense mutation c.1154C>T,*** formation failure was observed during the ICSI ***,injection of multiple PLCZ1-mutated sperm induced PN formation,suggesting that the Ca2+oscillations induced by the sperm exceeded the necessary threshold for PN *** after ICSI enabled normal fertilization,and all patients achieved successful *** findings expand the mutational spectrum of PLCZ1 and suggest an important role for PLCZ1 in terms of blocking ***,this study may benefit genetic diagnoses in cases of abnormal fertilization and provide potential appropriate therapeutic measures for these patients with sperm-derived polyspermy.

The NaNbO3 powders were synthesized and their crystal structure changes were analyzed by ultrahigh pressure up to 6 *** results indicate that the pure NaNbO3 powders can be synthesized at 300℃ under a pressure of 4 GPa, to sig- nificantly restrain the Na element volatilization compared with the traditional syn- thesis method. It is found that the crystal structure of synthesized NaNbO3 changes from low symmetry to high symmetry with the increase of the pressure.

The thick target neutron yields （TTNYs） of deuteron-induced reaction on AI and Cu isotopes are analyzed by combining the improved nuclear models and particle transport effects. The modified Glauber model is employed mainly to produce the peak of double differential cross section for the breakup process, and the exciton model and the Hauser-Feshbach theory are used for the statistical processes. The thin-layer accumulation method is used to calculate the TTNYs considering the neutron attenuation effects in the target. The calculated results are compared with the existing experimental data, and the analysis method can predict the TTNY data well at the deuteron energy of 40 MeV.

The depression mechanism of sulfite ions on sphalerite and Pb^(2+)activated sphalerite in the flotation separation of galena from sphalerite still lacked in-depth ***,the depression mechanism of sulfite ions on sphalerite and Pb^(2+)activated sphalerite in the flotation separation of galena from sphalerite was further systematically investigated with experiments and density functional theory(DFT)*** X-ray photoelectric spectroscopy(XPS)results,DFT calculation results,and frontier molecular orbital analysis indicated that sulfite ions were difficult to be adsorbed on sphalerite surface,suggesting that sulfite ions achieved depression effects on sphalerite through other non-adsorption ***,the oxygen content in the surface of sphalerite treated with sulfite ions in creased,which enhanced the hydrophilicity of the sphalerite and further increased the difference in hydrophilicity between sphalerite and ***,sulfite ions were chelated with lead ions to form PbSO_(3)in *** hydrophilic PbSO_(3)was more easily adsorbed on sphalerite than *** interaction between sulfite ions and lead ions could effectively inhibit the activation of *** addition the UV spectrum showed that after adding sulfite ions,the peak of perxanthate in the sphalerite treated xanthate solution was significantly stronger than that in the galena with xanthate solution,indicating that xanthate interacted more readily with sulfite ions and oxygen mo lecules within the sphalerite system,leading to the formation of ***,sulfite ions hardly depressed the flotation of ga lena and could promote the flotation of galena to some *** study deepened the understanding of the depression mechanism o sulfite ions on sphalerite and Pb^(2+)activated sphalerite.

A microscopic approach is employed to study the optical potential for the 7li-nucleus interaction system without any free *** is obtained by folding the microscopic optical potentials of the constituent nucleons of 7li over their density *** employ an isospin-dependent nucleon microscopic optical potential,which is based on the Skyrme nucleon-nucleon effective interaction and derived using the Green's function method,as the nucleon optical *** harmonic oscillator shell model is used to describe the internal wave function of 7li and obtain the nucleon density *** 7li microscopic optical potential is used to predict the reaction cross-sections and elastic scattering angular distributions for the target range from 27Al to 208Pb and energy range below 450 ***,the results can reproduce the measured data reasonably *** addition,the microscopic optical potential is comparable to a global phenomenological optical potential by fitting the presently existing measured data.

Objective： Non-small cell lung cancer （NSCLC） patients with epidermal growth factor receptor （EGFR）-activating mutations have higher response rate and more prolonged survival following treatment with single-agent EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor （EGFR-TKI） compared with patients with wild-type EGFR. However, all patients treated with reversible inhibitors develop acquired resistance over time. The mechanisms of resistance are complicated. The lack of established therapeutic options for patients after a failed EGFR-TKI treatment poses a great challenge to physicians in managing this group of lung cancer patients. This study evaluates the influence of EGFR-TKI retreatment following chemotherapy after failure of initial EGFR-TKI within at least 6 months on NSCLC patients. Methods：＇i-he data of 27 patients who experienced treatment failure from their initial use of EGFR-TKI within at least 6 months were analyzed. After chemotherapy, the patients were retreated with EGFR-TKI （gefitinib 250 mg qd or erlotinib 150 mg qd）, and the tumor progression was observed. The patients were assessed for adverse events and response to therapy. Targeted tumor lesions were assessed with CT scan. Results： Of the 27 patients who received EGFR-TKI retreatment~ 1 （3.7%） patient was observed in complete response （CR）, 8 （29.6%） patients in partial response （PR）, 14 （51.9%） patients in stable disease （SD）, and 4 （14.8%） patients in progressive disease （PD）. The disease control rate （DCR） was 85.2% （95% CI： 62%-94%）. The median progression-free survival （mPFS） was 6 months （95% CI： 1-29）. Of the 13 patients who received the same EGFR-TKI, 1 patient in CR, 3 patients in PR, 8 patients in SD, and 2 patients in PD were observed. The DCRwas 84.6%, and the mPFS was 5 months. Of the 14 patients who received another EGFR-TKI, no patient in CR~ 6 patients in PR, 6 patients in SD, and 2 patients in PD were observed. The DCRwas 85.7%, and the mPFS was 9.5 months. Several nanostructures we produced by ion irradiation have been reviewed in this paper. By using ions to irradiate two ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene targets respectively, it was found that small fullerenes C20 and C26 were grown, adding two members to the fullerene family. Meanwhile, crystalline diamonds also have been produced by Ar+ ions irradiation of graphite. In the experiment of double ions Ni+ and Ar+ irradiation, nanoscale argon bubbles formed. On the other side, when multi-wall carbon nanotubes were irradiated by C+, many MWCNTs evolved to amorphous carbon nanowires and amorphous carbon nanotubes. And there are possible welding in the crossed nanotubes.

The ^(232)Th(n,f)cross section is very important in basic nuclear physics and applications based on the Th/U fuel *** the time-of-flight method and a multi-cell fast-fission ionization chamber,a novel measurement of the^(232)Th(n,f)cross sec-tion relative to^(235)U in the 1–200 MeV range was performed at the China Spallation Neutron Source Back-n white neutron source(Back-n).The fission event-neutron energy spectra of^(232)Th and^(235)U fission cells were measured in the single-bunch *** 232Th/235U fission cross-sectional ratios were obtained,and the measurement uncertainties were 2.5–3.7%for energies in the 2–20 MeV range and 3.6–6.2%for energies in the 20–200 MeV ***^(232)Th(n,f)cross section was obtained by introducing the standard cross section of^(235)U(n,f).The results were compared with those of previous theoreti-cal calculations,measurements,and *** measured 232Th fission cross section agreed with the main evaluation results in terms of the experimental uncertainty,and 232Th fission resonances were observed in the 1–3 MeV *** present results provide^(232)Th(n,f)cross-sectional data for the evaluation and design of Th/U cycle nuclear systems.

Nerve plane-sparing radical hysterectomy： a simplified technique of nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy for invasive cervical cancer

Background In order to simplify the complicated procedure of nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy, a novel technique characterized by integral preservation of the autonomic nerve plane has been employed for invasive cervical cancer. The objective of this study was to introduce the nerve plane-sparing radical hysterectomy technique and compare its efficacy and safety with that of nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy. Methods From September 2006 to August 2010, 73 consecutive patients with International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics stage IB to IIA cervical cancer underwent radical hysterectomy with two different nerve-sparing approaches. Nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy was performed for the first 16 patients （nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy group）. The detailed autenomic nerve structures were identified and separated by meticulous dissection during this procedure. After January 2008, the nerve plane-sparing radical hysterectomy procedure was developed and performed for the next 57 patients （nerve plane-sparing radical hysterectomy group）. During this modified procedure, the nerve plane （meso-ureter and its extens;ion） containing most of the autonomic nerve structures was integrally preserved. The patients＇ clinicopathologic characteristics, surgical parameters, and outcomes of postoperative bladder function were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences between the nerve plane-sparing radical hysterectomy and nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy groups regarding age, International Federation of Gynecology and Obstetrics stage, pathological type, preoperative treatment, or need for intraoperative blood transfusion. The nerve plane-sparing radical hysterectomy group had a higher body mass index than that of the nerve-sparing radical hysterectomy group （P=0.028）.
