Radiation therapy is a standard treatment for head and neck ***,patients often exhibit cognitive impairments following radiation *** studies have revealed that hippocampal dysfunction,specifically abnormal hippocampal neurogenesis or neuroinflammation,plays a key role in radiation-induced cognitive ***,the long-term effects of radiation with respect to the electrophysiological adaptation of hippocampal neurons remain poorly *** found that mice exhibited cognitive impairment 3 months after undergoing 10 minutes of cranial irradiation at a dose rate of 3 Gy/***,we observed a remarkable reduction in spike firing and excitatory synaptic input,as well as greatly enhanced inhibitory inputs,in hippocampal CA1 pyramidal *** to the electrophysiological adaptation,we found reduced expression of synaptic plasticity marker VGLUT1 and increased expression of ***,in irradiated mice,long-term potentiation in the hippocampus was weakened and GluR1 expression was *** findings suggest that radiation can impair intrinsic excitability and synaptic plasticity in hippocampal CA1 pyramidal neurons.

Amassive market penetration of electric vehicles(EVs)associated with nonnegligible energy consumption and environmental issues has imposed a big challenge on evaluating electrical power distribution and related transportation facilities improvement in response to the largescale EV charging service *** deployment of EV charging stations including location and determination ofnumber of slowcharging stations and fast charging stationshas become an emerging concern and one of the most pressing needs in *** paper conducts a comprehensive survey of EV charging demand and distribution models with consideration of realistic driver behaviors *** is currently a shortage in academic literature,but indeed has drawn practical attention in the strategic planning *** address the need,this paper presents an in-depth literature review of relevant studies that have identified different types of EV charging facilities,needs or concerns that are considered into EV charging demand and distribution modeling,alongside critical impacting factor identification,mathematical relationshipsof the contributing factorsandEVchargingdemand and distribution *** findings from the current literature are summarized with strategies for optimized plan of charging station deployments(i.e.,location and related number of charging station),in an attempt to provide a valuable reference for interested readers.

Immune checkpoint blockade(ICB)therapy for cancer has achieved great success both in clinical results and on the *** the same time,success drives more attention from scientists to improve ***,only a small portion of patients are responsive to this therapy,and it comes with a unique spectrum of side effects termed immunerelated adverse events(irAEs).The use of nanotechnology could improve ICBs’delivery to the tumor,assist them in penetrating deeper into tumor tissues and alleviate their *** nanomedicine has been investigated and used for decades,and is well-recognized as the most successful nano-drug delivery *** successful combination of ICB with liposomal nanomedicine could help improve the efficacy of ICB *** this review,we highlighted recent studies using liposomal nanomedicine(including new emerging exosomes and their inspired nanovesicles)in associating ICB therapy.

In the determination of the Earth gravity field in satellite geodesy, the inclination functions represent the projection of data observed along the orbital plane of a satellite orbit into the sphere in the terrestial reference frame. The inclination functions in this work is studied from a group theoretical perspective. The inclination functions are proved to generate a representation of the SO(3) group. An orthogonal relation of the inclination functions is derived and some recurrence relations for the inclination functions are given, based on which an algorithm to calculate the inclination functions is proposed.

Stochastic electricity markets have drawn attention due to fast increase of renewable *** results in two issues:one is to reduce uplift payments arising from non-convexity under renewable uncertainties,and the other one is to allocate reserve costs based on renewable *** resolve the first issue,a convex hull pricing method for stochastic electricity markets is *** dual variables of system-wide constraints in a chance-constrained unit commitment model are shown to reduce expected uplift payments,together with developing a linear program to efficiently calculate such *** resolve the second issue,an allocation method is proposed to allocate reserve costs to each renewable power plant by explicitly investigating how renewable uncertainties of each renewable power plant affect reserve *** proposed methods are validated in a 24-period 3-unit test example and a 24-period 48-unit utility example.

In this paper,we consider the Chan–Vese(C-V)model for image segmentation and obtain its numerical solution accurately and *** this purpose,we present a local radial basis function method based on a Gaussian kernel(GA-LRBF)for spatial *** to the standard radial basis functionmethod,this approach consumes less CPU time and maintains good stability because it uses only a small subset of points in the whole computational ***,since the Gaussian function has the property of dimensional separation,the GA-LRBF method is suitable for dealing with isotropic ***,a numerical scheme that couples GA-LRBF with the fourth-order Runge–Kutta method is applied to the C-V model,and a comparison of some numerical results demonstrates that this scheme achieves much more reliable image segmentation.

With the trend of multiple energies or flexible demand in power systems,binary variables appear in systemwide constraints,which are the foundation of marginal pricing currently in *** appropriate pricing method incentivizes compliance of market participants;otherwise,compliance can be incentivized by paying discriminatory uplift payments which jeopardize transparency of *** paper proposes two theorems to examine whether the binary variables brought by multiple energies and flexible demand will impact compliance under marginal *** first theorem shows sufficient conditions with which marginal pricing with fixed binary variables incentivizes compliance,while the second theorem shows sufficient conditions to require uplift *** improve transparency by reducing uplift payments under cases which fall into the second theorem,this paper further proposes a pricing method by combining 1)designed constraints to price binary variables in system-wide constraints,and 2)convex hull pricing to price binary variables in private *** of the proposed theorems and pricing method is verified in an electricity-gas case(consisting of the IEEE 30-bus system and the NGS 10-node system)and the IEEE 118-bus test system.
