Mechanism of Mingjing Granules in Treating Wet Age-Related Macular Degeneration Based on Network Pharmacology and Experimental Verification

Objective:To analyze the potential mechanism of Mingjing granules in the treatment of wet age-related macular degeneration(wAMD)based on the research methods of network pharmacology and molecular docking approach and to provide a new reference for the currently limited treatment of *** and Methods:We searched TCMSP,GeneCards,OMIM,PharmGkb,TTD,and DrugBank database to screen the main active ingredients of Mingjing granules and their therapeutic targets of *** network of active components and targets was constructed using Cytoscape3.6.1 software,which was also used for the topological analysis of target *** network of Protein-Protein Interactions(PPI)was mapped using the String *** also used R language to do the Gene Ontology(GO)and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes(KEGG)pathway for additional *** docking studies were finished by Chemoffice,Autodock,and ***,the efficacy of the Mingjing granules was examined in animal experiments,in which we used enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay to the contents of vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9)levels in peripheral ***:Active compounds,including quercetin,lignocaine,and kaempferol,were *** network analysis showed that tumor necrosis factor(TNF),MMP-9,epidermal growth factor(EGF),prostaglandin-endoperoxide synthase 2(PTGS2),and caspase-3(CASP3)were related to both Mingjing granules and *** and KEGG pathway analysis showed that these targets were mainly involving lipids and atherosclerosis,TNF,and interleukin-17(IL-17)signaling *** studies suggested that quercetin and luteolin can fit in the binding pocket of four target proteins(CASP3,EGF,PTGS2,and TNF).In the vivo experiment,the Mingjing granules were found to be effective on the expression of VEGF and MMP-9 in peripheral ***:This study initially reveals the multi-constituent,multi-target,and multi-pathway mechanism of action of Ming

Modeling droplet vaporization and combustion with the volume of fluid method at a small Reynolds number

The volume of fluid(VOF) formulation is applied to model the combustion process of a single droplet in a hightemperature convective air free stream *** calculations solve the flow field for both phases,and consider the droplet deformation based on an axisymmetrical *** chemical reaction is modeled with one-step finite-rate mechanism and the thermo-physical properties for the gas mixture are species and temperature dependence.A mass transfer model applicable to the VOF calculations due to vaporization of the liquid phases is developed in consideration with the fluctuation of the liquid *** model is validated by examining the burning rate constants at different convective air temperatures,which accord well with experimental data of previous *** phenomena from the simulations,such as the transient history of droplet deformation and flame structure,are also qualitatively accordant with the descriptions of other numerical ***,a different droplet deformation mechanism for the low Reynolds number is explained compared with that for the high Reynolds *** calculations verified the feasibility of the VOF computational fluid dynamics(CFD) formulation as well as the mass transfer model due to vaporization.

Statistics of Superluminal Motion in Active Galactic Nuclei

We have collected an up-to-date sample of 123 superluminal sources （84 quasars, 27 BL Lac objects and 12 galaxies） and calculated the apparent velocities （βapp） for 224 components in the sources with the A-CDM model. We checked the relationships between their proper motions, redshifts,βapp and 5 GHz flux densities. Our analysis shows that the radio emission is strongly boosted by the Doppler effect. The superluminal motion and the relativistic beaming boosting effect are, to some extent, the same in active galactic nuclei.

Theoretical Studies on the Kinetics and Mechanisms of Reactions for Methyl Vinyl Ether and Ozone

The interconversion between the two distinct isomers of methyl vinyl ether （MVE）, the formation of the primary ozonides from O3-initated reactions of MVE, the transformation between the primary ozonides, and the subsequent fragmentation were studied using quantum chemical methods at the BHandHLYP/6311＋＋G（d,p） level of theory for optimized geometries and frequency calculations and at the QCISD/631G（d,p） level for the single point energy calculations. The rate coefficients were calculated for the temperature range 280-440 K by using the canonical transition state theory （TST）. For ozone addition to MVE, there are two different possibilities discussed on the basis of two different possible orientations for ozone attack. The results of the theoretical study indicate that although the synperiplanar-MVE is 7.11 kJ/mol more stable than the antiperiplanar-MVE, the antiperiplanar-MVE plays a more important role in formation of the primary ozonides because the primary ozonides formed from the ozone addition antiperiplanar-MVE are more stable and the energy barriers corresponding to transition states are lower. The intereonversion between the primary ozonides formed from the ozone addition to antiperiplanar-MVE is the most accessible compared with the transformations between other primary ozonides. The cleavage of the primary ozonides mainly leads to the formation of the CH2OO, which is in agreement with the experimental estimates. The calculated overall rate constant for the ozone-initiated reactions is 4.8× 10^-17 cm^3/（molecule.s） at 298.15 K, which agrees with the experimental value for ethyl vinyl ether.

Vibration analysis of hydropower house based on fluid-structure coupling numerical method

By using the shear stress transport （SST） model to predict the effect ot random now motion in a fluid zone, and using the Newmark method to solve the oscillation equations in a solid zone, a coupling model of the .powerhouse and its tube water was developed. The effects of fluid-structure interaction are considered through the kinematic and dynamic conditions applied to the fluid-structure interfaces （FSI）. Numerical simulation of turbulent flow through the whole flow passage of the powerhouse and concrete structure vibration analysis in the time domain were carried out with the model. Considering the effect of coupling the turbulence and the powerhouse structure, the time history response of both turbulent flows through the whole flow passage and powerhouse structure vibration were generated. Concrete structure vibration analysis shows that the displacement, velocity, and acceleration of the dynamo floor respond dramatically to pressure fluctuations in the flow passage. Furthermore, the spectrum analysis suggests that pressure fluctuation originating from the static and dynamic disturbances of hydraulic turbine blades in the flow passage is one of the most important vibration sources.

A New Simplified Zonal Method for Furnace Thermal Radiation Calculation Based on Imaginary Planes

When solving the complex radiative heat transfer problems in reheating furnaces, there are a number of difficulties with the traditional zonal methods. To circumvent these difficulties, a new simplified method was pro- posed, which employed imaginary planes, referred to as the imaginary plane model. With the new model, crown wall reduction process was simplified. Therefore, every model zone could be treated as a closed square cavity. It could also solve the problem of radiative blocking in industrial furnaces more effectively. Besides, the new imaginary plane based model may lead to a problem that the denominator was zero. This problem was solved by transforming the ex- pressions of reflex heat flux in the model. The model was capable of dealing with the systems that included black sur- faces. The model was validated by considering the heat transfer in a reheating furnace where the temperature fields in the furnace chamber （including the steel, wall and gas） were obtained. A detailed comparison was made between the simulation and the black box experiment. The results show that the new model developed was valid and accurate.

We report the development of a static magnetic eld Faraday rotation spectrometer for NO detection.A 5.33μm continuous-wave quantum cascade laser was used as the probing *** absorption at 1875.81 cm^−1(2Π3=2Q(3/2),v=1←0)was chosen for the *** using a Chernin type multipass cell,a detection precision of 1.15 ppbv(1σ,1s)was achieved with an absorption pathlength of 108 *** value was reduced to 0.43 ppbv by increasing the data-acquisition time to 15 s.

Deriving Energy-Level Gap of a System in Presence of a Kerr-like Medium by Virtue of Invariant Eigen-operator Method

In this paper, we find the invariant eigen-operators （IEOs） and the energy-level gap of a system with a two-level atom interacting with single mode cavity field through multi-photon transition in the presence of a Kerr-like medium. From this work, one can see that the IEO method in many eases is simpler and easier on obtaining the energy-level gap formula than the usual way.
