Simulation of the dynamic disturbance characteristics of the soft sediment in the Diexi ancient dammed lake,China

In an earlier study of the Diexi ancient dammed lake along the Minjiang River in Southwest China,10 disturbed layers with envelope and flame structures were found in more than 240 m of lacustrine sediments.In this paper,the soft-sediment disturbances caused by earthquakes in the Diexi ancient dammed lake were studied based on field investigations and laboratory core observations.A two-to three-degree-of-freedom spring-type earthquake simulation vibration table was used to carry out disturbance tests on lacustrine sediments under different dynamic conditions.The results support the following conclusions:(1)The disturbance layers in the lacustrine sediments were caused by strong earthquakes in the region.(2)The characteristics of the disturbance layers are related to the seismic parameters and the degree of sediment consolidation.(3)The greater the earthquake intensity is,the greater the disturbance amplitude is;moreover,the lower the consolidation degree is,the greater the disturbance amplitude.(4)The simulation tests verify that the disturbance layers in the sediments of the Diexi ancient dammed lake correspond to strong earthquakes in the region.These results are valuable for ongoing palaeoseismic research in the region.

The use of the traditional American Joint Committee on Cancer(AJCC)staging system alone has limitations in predicting the survival of gingiva squamous cell carcinoma(GSCC)patients.We aimed to establish a comprehensive prognostic nomogram with a prognostic value similar to the AJCC system.Methods:Patients were identified from SEER database.Variables were selected by a backward stepwise selection method in a Cox regression model.A nomogram was used to predict cancer-specific survival rates for 3,5 and 10 years in patients with GSCC.Several basic features of model validation were used to evaluate the performance of the survival model:consistency index(C-index),receiver operating characteristic(ROC)curve,calibration chart,net weight classification improvement(NRI),comprehensive discriminant improvement(IDI)and decision curve analysis(DCA).Results:Multivariate analyses revealed that age,race,marital status,insurance,AJCC stage,pathology grade and surgery were risk factors for survival.In particular,the C-index,the area under the ROC curve(AUC)and the calibration plots showed good performance of the nomogram.Compared to the AJCC system,NRI and IDI showed that the nomogram has improved performance.Finally,the nomogram's 3-year and 5-year and 10-year DCA curves yield net benefits higher than traditional AJCC,whether training set or a validation set.Conclusion:We developed and validated the first GSCC prognosis nomogram,which has a better prognostic value than the separate AJCC staging system.Overall,the nomogram of this study is a valuable tool for clinical practice to consult patients and understand their risk for the next 3,5 and 10 years.

The rapid solidification of undercooled liquid Ni;Fe;Ti;alloy was realized by glass fluxing technique.The microstructure of this alloy consists of primaryγ-（Fe,Ni）phase and a small amount of interdendritic pseudobinary eutectic.The primaryγ-（Fe,Ni）phase transferred from coarse dendrite to fragmented dendrite and the lamellar eutectic became fractured with the increase of undercooling.The growth velocity ofγ-（Fe,Ni）dendrite increased following a power relation with the rise of undercooling.The addition of solute Ti suppressed the rapid growth ofγ-（Fe,Ni）dendrite,as compared with the calculation results of Fe-Ni alloy based on LKT model.The microhardness values of the alloy and the primaryγ-（Fe,Ni）phase increased by 1.5 times owing to the microstructural refinement caused by the rapid dendrite growth.The difference was enlarged as undercooling increases,resulting from the enhanced hardening effects on the alloy from the increased grain boundaries and the second phase.

目的研究末端按压法在膝关节骨性关节炎中的临床疗效。方法纳入2022年7月至2023年2月北京市丰盛中医骨伤专科医院推拿科收治的80例Ⅱ级膝关节骨性关节炎患者,按照随机数表法分为推拿治疗组(观察组)和外用扶他林组(对照组),每组各40例,定期复诊、复查,分析膝关节功能(WOMAC)评分、膝关节活动度(ROM)、膝关节评分系统(HSS)评分、安全性评价及临床疗效。结果治疗前,两组WOMAC评分、ROM、HSS评分比较,差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05)。治疗4周后、第1次随访及第2次随访时,观察组WOMAC评分低于对照组,ROM及HSS评分均高于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。两组治疗过程中均无不良反应发生。观察组治疗效果优于对照组,差异有统计学意义(P<0.05)。结论末端按压法能有效减轻膝关节骨性关节炎患者症状,且安全、简便,值得临床推广。

Objective: To investigate whether ginsenoside-Rb1(Gs-Rb1) improves the CoCl2-induced autophagy of cardiomyocytes via upregulation of adenosine 5’-monophosphate-activated protein kinase(AMPK) pathway. Methods: Ventricles from 1-to 3-day-old Wistar rats were sequentially digested, separated and incubated in Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium supplemented with 10% fetal bovine serum for 3 days followed by synchronization. Neonatal rat cardiomyocytes were randomly divided into 7 groups: control group(normal level oxygen), hypoxia group(500 μmol/L CoCl2), Gs-Rb1 group(200 μmol/L Gs-Rb1 + 500 μmol/L CoCl2), Ara A group(500 μmol/L Ara A + 500 μmol/L CoCl2), Ara A+ Gs-Rb1 group(500 μmol/L Ara A + 200 μmol/L Gs-Rb1 + 500 μmol/L CoCl2), AICAR group [1 mmol/L 5-aminoimidazole-4-carboxamide ribonucleotide(AICAR)+ 500 μmol/L CoCl2], and AICAR+Gs-Rb1 group(1 mmol/L AICAR + 200 μmol/L Gs-Rb1 + 500 μmol/L CoCl2). Cel s were treated for 12 h and cell viability was determined by methylthiazolyldiphenyl-tetrazolium bromide(MTT) assay and cardiac troponin I(cTnI) levels were detected by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA). AMPK activity was assessed by 2’,7’-dichlorofluorescein diacetate(DCFH-DA) ELISA assay. The protein expressions of Atg4 B, Atg5, Atg6, Atg7, microtubule-associated protein 1 A/1 B-light chain 3(LC3), P62, and active-cathepsin B were measured by Western blot. Variation Characteristics of Hydrothermal Resources Effectiveness Under the Background of Climate Change in Southern Rice Production Area of China

The spatiotemporal characteristics of hydrothermal resources in southern rice production area of China have changed under the background of climate change,and this change would affect the effectiveness of hydrothermal resources during local rice growing period.According to the cropping system subdivision in southern rice production area of China during 1980s,this study used climate data from 254 meteorological stations and phonological data from 168 agricultural observation stations in the south of China,and adopted 6 international evaluation indices about the effectiveness of hydrothermal resources to analyze the temporal and spatial characteristics of hydrothermal resources during the growing period of single cropping rice system and double cropping rice system for 16 planting zones in the whole study area.The results showed that：in southern rice production area of China,the effectiveness of thermal resources of single cropping rice area（SCRA） was less than that of double cropping rice area（DCRA）,whereas the effectiveness of thermal resources of both SARA and DCRA showed a decreasing trend.The index value of effective precipitation satisfaction of SCRA was higher than that of DCRA,nevertheless the index value of effective precipitation satisfaction of both SCRA and DCRA showed a decreasing trend.There was a significant linear relationship between effective thermal resource and water demand,likely water demand increased by 18 mm with every 100°C d increase of effective heat.Effective precipitation satisfaction index（EPSI） showed a negative correlation with effective heat,yet showed a positive correlation with effective precipitation.EPSI reduced by 1% when effective heat resource increased by 125°C d.This study could provide insights for policy makers,land managers or farmers to improve water and heat resource uses and rationally arrange rice production activities under global climate change condition.

In this paper,based on the mixture flow model,an optimized six-flux model is first established and applied to the tubular solar photocatalytic reactor.Parameters influencing photocatalyst distribution and radiation distribution at the reactor outlet,viz.catalyst concentration and circulation speed,are also analyzed.It is found that,at the outlet of the reactor,the optimized six-flux model has better performances(the energy increase by 1900%and 284%,respectively)with a higher catalyst concentration(triple)and a lower speed(one third).

A new stationary phase for iodide ion analysis has been developed. The cationic polymerepichlorohydrin-dimethylamine（PEPI-DMA） was served as modifier in synthesizing polyelectrolyte sorbents and the macroporous polystyrene-divinylbenzene（PS-DVB） resin was used as support. The positively charged polymer（PEPI-DMA） was electrostatically bonded to a negatively charged particle（PS-DVB sulfonated）. The new stationary phase was characterized by scanning electron microscopy（SEM）, Fourier transform infrared（FTIR）, elemental analysis, chemical adsorption and desorption measurements. The chromatographic evaluation of the new stationary phase was performed using various anions with a conductivity detector. The new stationary phase was also applied to the determination of iodide directly with a DC amperometric detector using a platinum working electrode and an Ag/Ag Cl reference electrode. The chromatographic conditions were optimized and the eluent solution contained 5 mmol/L HNO3 and 15 mmol/L Na NO3 at a flow rate of 1.0 m L/min and column temperature of 30 8C. The applied voltage of the DC amperometric detector was 0.9 V. Under the optimum conditions, the linear range of the method was 0.2–50 mg/L for iodide ion with a correlation coefficient of 0.9990. The detection limit was 0.05 mg/L（calculated at S/N = 3） and the relative standard deviations（RSD, n = 6） were all less than 1% for retention time, peak area and peak height. This method was also utilized for the determination of iodide ions in samples of povidone iodine solution and kelp samples with satisfactory results.

With a rising energy demand and anabatic environmental crisis arising from the fast growth in human population and society economics,numerous efforts have been devoted to explore and design plentiful multifunctional materials for meeting highefficiency energy transfer processes,which happen in various developed energy conversion and storage systems.As a special kind of multi-metal oxides,perovskite with attractive physical and chemical properties,is becoming a rapidly rising star on the horizon of high-performance catalytic materials with substantial research behaviors worldwide.The porous nanostructure in targeted catalysts is favorable to the catalytic activity and thus improves the overall efficiency of these energy-related installations.In this review paper,recent advances made in the porous perovskite nanostructures for catalyzing several anodic or cathodic reactions in fuel cells and metal-air batteries are comprehensively summarized.Plenty of general preparation methods employed to attain porous perovskite-type oxides are provided,followed by a further discussion about the influence of various strategies on structures and catalytic properties of the porous perovskites.Furthermore,deep insights gathered in the future development of porous perovskite-based materials for energy conversion and storage technologies are also provided.
