Traditional gradient domain seamless image cloning is a time consuming task,requiring the solving of Poisson's equations whenever the shape or position of the cloned region ***,a more efficient alternative,the mean-value coordinates(MVCs) based approach,was proposed to interpolate interior pixels by a weighted combination of values along the ***,this approach cannot faithfully preserve the gradient in the cloning *** this paper,we introduce harmonic cloning,which uses harmonic coordinates(HCs) instead of MVCs in image *** from the non-negativity and interior locality of HCs,our interpolation generates a more accurate harmonic field across the cloned region,to preserve the results with as high a quality as with Poisson ***,with optimizations and implementation on a graphic processing unit(GPU),we demonstrate that,compared with the method using MVCs,our harmonic cloning gains better quality while retaining real-time performance.

Quadrics are of basic importance in Computer Graphics and Computer Aided Design. In this paper,we design a subdivision scheme based on the method suggested by G. Morin and J. Warren to generate conics and quadrics conveniently. Given the control polygon(poly-hedron),the corresponding ellipse (ellipsoid)can be generated. The hyperbolas and hyperboloids are generated based on the generation of ellipses and ellipsoids by a simple transformation. The method in this paper is much simpler and easier to apply than those given by Eugenia Montiel et al.

For MIMO nonlinear differential-algebraic equations（DAE） subsystem, the Backstepping stabilization control method is studied and the results are applied to the decentralized control of power system. The concept of vector relative order for MIMO nonlinear DAE subsystem is put forward. If the vector relative order exists, then the subsystem can be transformed equivalently by a diffeomorphism and a feedback. Next the Backstepping method is used to design the stabilization controller,through which the asymptotic stability of the whole closed-loop system is obtained. Finally the synchronous generator excitation and valve control is studied, and the simulation results illustrate the utility of the method proposed in this paper.

Background:Colorectal carcinomas(CRCs)arise from premalignant precursors in an adenoma-carcinoma sequence,in which adenoma with high-grade dysplasia(HGD)and early-stage carcinoma are defined as advanced neoplasia.A limited number of studies have evaluated the long-term outcomes of endoscopic submucosal dissection(ESD)for advanced colorectal *** study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of ESD for advanced colorectal neoplasia as well as the long-term outcomes,including local recurrence and ***:We analyzed data collected from 610 consecutive patients with 616 advanced colorectal neoplasia lesions treated with ESD between January 2007 and December ***,endoscopic,and histological data were col-lected over a median follow-up period of 58 months to determine tumor stage and type,resection status,complica-tions,tumor recurrence,and distant ***:The overall rates of en bloc resection,histological complete resection,and major complications were 94.3%,89.4%,and 2.3%,*** ESD was an independent factor of piecemeal *** location in the colon was associated with increased risk of ESD-related *** the follow-up period,all patients remained free of ***,local recurrence occurred in 4 patients(0.8%);piecemeal resection was a risk ***:ESD is effective and safe for resection of advanced colorectal neoplasia,with a high en bloc resection rate and favorable long-term *** is indicated for the treatment of HGD and early-stage CRC to obtain cura-tive resection and reduce local recurrence rate.

AIM:To investigate the clinical advantages of the stent-laparoscopy approach to treat colorectal cancer(CRC)patients with acute colorectal obstruction(ACO).METHODS:From April 2008 to April 2012,surgeryrelated parameters,complications,overall survival(OS),and disease-free survival(DFS)of 74 consecutive patients with left-sided CRC presented with ACO who underwent self-expandable metallic stent(SEMS)placement followed by one-stage open(n=58)or laparoscopic resection(n=16)were evaluated *** stent-laparoscopy group was also compared with a control group of 96 CRC patients who underwent regular laparoscopy without ACO between January 2010 and December 2011 to explore whether SEMS placement influenced the laparoscopic procedure or reduced long-term survival by influencing CRC oncological ***:The characteristics of patients among these groups were *** rate of conversion to open surgery was 12.5%in the stent-laparoscopy *** function recovery and postoperative hospital stay were significantly shorter(3.3±0.9 d vs 4.2±1.5 d and 6.7±1.1 d vs 9.5±6.7 d,P=0.016 and P=0.005),and surgical time was significantly longer(152.1±44.4 min vs 127.4±38.4 min,P=0.045)in the stent-laparoscopy group than in the stent-open ***-related complications and the rate of admission to the intensive care unit were lower in the stent-laparoscopy *** were no significant differences in the interval between stenting and surgery,intraoperative blood loss,OS,and DFS between the two stent *** with those in the stentlaparoscopy group,all surgery-related parameters,complications,OS,and DFS in the control group were ***:The stent-laparoscopy approach is a feasible,rapid,and minimally invasive option for patients with ACO caused by left-sided CRC and can achieve a favorable long-term prognosis.

BACKGROUND Gastric cystica profunda(GCP)represents a rare condition characterized by cystic dilation of gastric glands within the mucosal and/or submucosal *** is often linked to,or may progress into,early gastric cancer(EGC).AIM To provide a comprehensive evaluation of the endoscopic features of GCP while assessing the efficacy of endoscopic treatment,thereby offering guidance for diagnosis and *** This retrospective study involved 104 patients with GCP who underwent endoscopic *** demographic and clinical data,regular patient followups were conducted to assess local *** Among the 104 patients diagnosed with GCP who underwent endoscopic resection,12.5%had a history of previous gastric *** primary site predominantly affected was the cardia(38.5%,n=40).GCP commonly exhibited intraluminal growth(99%),regular presentation(74.0%),and ulcerative mucosa(61.5%).The leading endoscopic feature was the mucosal lesion type(59.6%,n=62).The average maximum diameter was 20.9±15.3 mm,with mucosal involvement in 60.6%(n=63).Procedures lasted 73.9±57.5 min,achieving complete resection in 91.3%(n=95).Recurrence(4.8%)was managed via either surgical intervention(n=1)or through endoscopic resection(n=4).Final pathology confirmed that 59.6%of GCP cases were associated with *** analysis indicated that elderly males were more susceptible to GCP associated with ***,multivariate analysis identified lesion morphology and endoscopic features as significant risk *** analysis demonstrated no statistically significant difference in recurrence between GCP with and without EGC(P=0.72).CONCLUSION The findings suggested that endoscopic resection might serve as an effective and minimally invasive treatment for GCP with or without EGC.

Objective： Contralateral C7 spinal nerve transfer is a useful operation for the treatment of brachial plexus root avulsion. The recovery of the independent function at the ipsilateral side, however, depends on neural circuitry reorganization in the central nervous system （CNS）.This study tried to locate the CNS neuronal elements involved in the innervation ofC7 spinal ***： Pseudorabies virus （PRV, TK/gG-,2 μl）, which expressed green fluorescent protein （GFP）, was injected into the left C7 spinal nerve in 20 adult Sprague Dawley *** rats survived for 6 h, 12 h, 24 h and 36 h, the C1-C7segments of the spinal cord and brain were processed using a polyclonal immunohistochemical antibody against ***： PRV-labeled neurons were found mainly in gray matter of the C1-C7 segments of the spinal cord and at the following structures of the brain： lateral vestibular nucleus, lateral paragigantocellular nucleus, A5 cells, red nucleus, primary and secondary motor cortexes, primary and secondary somatosensory cortexes. Although located bilaterally, the PRV-labeled neurons existed predominantly in the ipsilateral side of the spinal cord and the contralateral side of the brain at 6-12 h after injection （p.i.）. The number of PRV-labeled neurons in the CNS was increasing with rat＇s survival time and the distribution of these neurons turned bilateral with no obvious dominance to either side at 24 h and 36 h （p.i.）.Conclusion： By use of transsynaptic tracing technique with PRV, the anatomically connected set of neurons,which modulates the activity of C7 spinal nerve, is located successfully in the CNS.
